What is 3d Product Design?

The year two thousand twenty-five(2025). The term 3D product design deals with creating special three-dimensional models of a given product. Thanks to the ever-changing technology, such designers can use advanced tools and other software applications to create, view, and fine-tune products in a three-dimensional environment. As far as design creates a preliminary visual of the future manufactured good (instead of building it physically). Such a stage implies a detailed analysis of the good’s shape, purpose, and design before the production starts.

3D Product design is vital in manufacturing, consumer goods, and technology as it enables the designers and engineers. To make their prototypes quickly, make iterations on their designs and tools of communication. The available applications often include ones like Blender, Solid Works, Rhino, and Autodesk Fusion 360.

I decided to take a serious social media break after the tiktok ban. I was devastated by the ban, then equally devastated that it became trumptok upon return.

I deleted it off my phone. I do have rednote, but it's not the same. I deactivated facebook and instagram. I am done.

I refuse to be sucked into an anxious angry hole for the next four years, like I was for his first four. I am terrified of the future now, so I have to take a break.

Instead of spending my time scrolling, I am focusing on learning new things, spending time with family and friends, experiencing life.

Here is what I've done so far!

I got a breadmaker for xmas. I am having the most fun with this thing! I have made four loaves so far, three white bread and one cinnamon raisin.

I joined Costco for the savings of bulk buying, and I have a new appreciation for cooking at home.

I am taking it back to basics, depression era shit. Baking bread, making hearty beef and bean soups, Rice and beans based dishes aplenty!

I look forward to dusting off my camera and going out into nature. I am excited to finally finish the half dozen craft projects I have started. I am itching to get my seeds planted indoors, in preparation for the spring.

We will survive a trump presidency. We just have to look inward. Stick together. We got this!

David Simmons, “There’s a ton of lore on unicorns too”: Postmodernist Micro-Narratives and Supernatural in TV Goes to Hell: an Unofficial Roadmap of Supernatural

started writing this mostly as a reflection on the above chapter from TV Goes to Hell. the show from its initial outset is based around a particular formula. the brothers often rely on a postmodern patchwork of stories to 'solve' their monster-of-the-week. on this show, everything can be real all together, all at once: from alternate myths and histories, to movie monsters, to urban legends, cultural gods, and folk tales. this cultural melange gets 'tamed' through the frame of the show's monster-of-the-week format itself, where everything gets solved to fit a singular narrative: identify the monster, find a way to defeat it, and successfully eliminate it (there are rare exceptions to this formula: bugs is the standout)

there's a tension between the characters' research, drawing from unofficial sources, local legends and civilian accounts versus the show's format demanding, in a sense, that fear of the unknown (really a fear of difference) be conquered through the simplified logic of its formula. unofficial sources and beliefs become incorporated into an official narrative, so to speak. they gain legitimacy and authority through our heroes use of them, not the other way around. magic is evil when a witch uses it, but somehow the rituals and spellwork our heroes use to defeat them don't count. you feel me. and that same logic applies to what monsters count as real and what doesn't. on this show, everything becomes real when our protagonists are able to see it and kill it.

so a common show critique i see tends to separate the more episodic plots of the early seasons (1-3) from the more serialised grand epic narratives of 4-5 onwards. well my argument is this - nah, that impulse was there from the start! the mystery of the show was always going to dissipate, because explaining away the mystery was always a part of its initial premise. the concept that - 'the monster under your bed is no longer scary when you can name what it is and learn how to kill it' - turns into -> a fear of death? heaven and hell and everything else in between are now real, tangible places! fear over external, powerful forces meddling in your lives? demons, angels, leviathans, god himself! now all real and tangible beings! the air of horror and mystery shrouding s1-2 was never gonna last. the murky horror was always a means to a defeatable end.

anyways. there's an obvious mythological hierarchy in this series and it's very funny to me. all gods and spirits and monsters, even the ones predating christian mythology, fall under its ruling (white, judeo-christian) narrative authority. the postmodern embrace of multiple narratives is a ruse. all incompatible things lead to a universal truth. the show doesn't dispell the existence of differences; rather everything is to be combined, united under a totalising front, despite the contradictory nature of that impulse. this narrative then, down to its bare bones formula, is a civilising mission. civilisation barreling in, banishing fear and uncertainty from the light. and in order to stay in that light, one must submit to its complete authority. by this show's logic, uniformity ultimately requires the subjugation of difference.

I've heard of it, but I haven't considered reading it; my tastes in contemporary fiction are inane but immutably monopolized by a narrow selection of historical fantasy subgenres + self-published gothic romance novels/novellas that offend my sensibilities and outright violate my boundaries.

Status

Extending the break! Family is visiting, I still have some projects to finish, and my focus is just… very thoroughly elsewhere, ahaha.

I should be more active again sometime in January!

Ok one more post about natural fiber clothes 'cause I just get so many (sometimes quite nice, sometimes not very nice) requests for such things lately:

So I may release some test items through Witch Vamp at some point soonish whenever I have anything good enough to at least put into a sample sale, but I want to start warning everyone now that ultimately natural fiber clothing might end up under a totally separate "sister brand" and not stay a part of Witch Vamp itself.

I think the price point, audience, average customer, and selling points will be different enough (even if there's plenty of crossover at first) that I strongly suspect natural fiber clothing items would do better with their own branding. Recently this hunch of mine was backed up by a business mentor I've just started meeting with, who immediately said "you might want to think about starting another brand for that" when I mentioned that figuring out natural fiber options for clothing is one of the big goals I want to tackle next.

It would still just be me & my bf running both shops, so that means we need to be sure we can handle Witch Vamp with time, money, energy, and braincells to spare before moving forward with a second brand. Just another factor to keep in mind, but I hope you'll all look forward to my new brand venture if & when it does happen!!
