She was unhappy, and cheated Caleb with her highschool sweetheart, Dylan.
Dylan and Mavis affair had her pregnant, unfortunately, the baby died.
Mavis decided to divorce Caleb and took 2 of her kids and moved to Copperdale.
Mavis reunited with Dylan and eventually got married.

oh hi there! i haven't posted here in a while, but i just watched the barbie movie a few days ago and needless to say, it is now my entire personality. so here's my first ever legacy challenge based on barbie's many, many careers and achievements!
apologies in advance, this challenge uses a lot of packs! i'm sorry! i might try to make a base game version at some point

You may use the freerealestate cheat for your first house, but try not to use money cheats after that!

THE SEASONS LEGACY
A mini legacy challenge that focuses on the four seasons. Each generation will have a different set of goals and requirements before the new heir takes over.
Rules:
Pick any three of the five traits offered for each generation, and one of the two aspirations. For an extra challenge, you can try and complete both aspirations.
This challenge contains a lot of gameplay from a variety of expansion, game, and stuff packs. Feel free to skip or adjust any rules if you are missing content.
If you do this challenge, please credit me (@ginovasims).
Vague guidelines/suggestions:
The heir can be any gender, they don’t have to be female. They can also be any sexuality. 
Children don’t have to be genetic, they can be adopted, and you can have science babies.
Mods and custom content can be used.

Generation 1 - Spring
Spring is the season for new life and new beginnings, so what better time to start a new family legacy?!
You make the most of the weather warming and enjoy spending time outside with animals. Fresh is best and you won’t settle for anything that’s not the best quality, in all aspects of life. Your true love is out there and you won’t stop looking until you find your perfect soulmate.

thebramblewood's Legacy Universe: A Primer
I've never really been one for following specific legacy challenges, but I do get incredibly attached to families and love seeing genetics play out, so generational gameplay has always been my thing. Recently, I've been very distracted by Helena Zhao Is Dead, which means my long-running family of nine generations (!) has been on indefinite hiatus for most of this blog's life.
I discovered their save got accidentally deleted, which is probably for the best, considering it was the same damn save I started back in 2018. Luckily, I had the current generation in my library, and I missed them, so I decided to bring Naomi and Micah back for Life & Death. I thought it might be helpful to summarize past events for those who might be interested in their family's background. Don't worry, we're not going all the way back! I love my earlier generations, but I didn't start getting into a more story-based approach until pretty far in. So here are the relevant details from generation five on (and I really did try to be brief, I promise).
GENERATION FIVE

This generation's heir was Gaby Martinez-Jang. After saving Strangerville from the Mother Plant with her ragtag investigative team, she moved to Sulani with the hunky conspiracy theorist she met along the way, Alvin. The impetus for this journey was Alvin being adopted and deciding he wanted to learn more about his birth family. In Sulani, he not only met his biological sister, Kaimana, but also discovered and embraced his mermadic ancestry! Meanwhile, Gaby became a conservationist and even won a Starlight Accolade for her documentary film on Mua Pel'am!
GENERATION SIX

Gaby and Alvin's one child, Noelani 'Aukai, became the new heir. After struggling to figure out their identity as a teen, Noelani's love for music led them to pursue DJing and producing. They started off doing pop-up performances in Sulani that gained traction on social media and led to a record deal. Meanwhile, they were falling in love with their childhood BFF, Nani Kealoha. Eventually, the two of them moved to San Myshuno, where Nani pursued her political dreams and Noelani was thrust into stardom.

This is where it becomes really important to pay attention. Noelani's other best friend was Malia Kahananui. The result of MCCC shenanigans, she became the granddaughter of Mele and Alika Kahananui because I thought they were too old for a surprise baby, lol. She was left with her grandparents by her reckless and impulsive mother, who was always going off on grand adventures and eventually just never returned. A yoga enthusiast and masseuse, Malia discovered her talent for communing with the island spirits when she was visited by her recently deceased grandparents, who encouraged her to nurture the gift they never got the chance to tell her about.
The spirits were always cryptic, but during one visit she received a more specific warning: "One day, there will be a cataclysmic threat to the realm where all spirits go. Humans occupy this realm, too, humans with supernatural talents who coexist with us in exchange for the protection they offer. A human of modest background and raw power is the only one capable of defeating this threat. They will sacrifice greatly to save our realm from extermination." She promptly filed that information away for a decade or two.
GENERATION SEVEN

This generation's heir was Noelani and Nani's son and robotics enthusiast, Sione 'Aukai. Unfortunately for him, he was almost immediately overshadowed by his eventual spouse, Malia's daughter, Cassie. Oh, Cassie... Possibly my favorite Sim of all time. As kids, they had a long distance friendship, bonding over their love of magic and fantasy. When Cassie started having dreams of a world beyond her own, her mother remembered the warning from the spirits and, fearing the worst, tried to deter her interest, which only made Cassie more stubbornly determined to seek out magic. Malia thought her daughter's rebellious streak might be fixed by a change of scenery, so she moved in with Sione's family in San Myshuno.

Unfortunately, Sione decided he was "too cool" for their shared childhood interests and rejected Cassie's long-time crush. Even so, they agreed to share a house for uni, where he studied Robotics at Foxbury and she studied Art at UBrite. Cassie soon decided college wasn't for her, but she used her connections in the Secret Society to make her way to the Magic Realm, where she met L. Faba and finally began her magical training. A few years later, she and Sione met up again in the city, finally worked it out, and got married. (Can you tell I'm a big fan of the childhood friends to romantic partners pipeline?)
GENERATION EIGHT

Sione and Cassie have twin girls. Rowan 'Aukai is the heir of generation eight. Rowan and her sister, Sabrina, are just beginning their own magical educations when tragedy strikes. A rogue spellcaster, having acquired forbidden magic, storms the Magic Realm and kills the three Sages. As word spreads, Cassie is one of the first spellcasters to arrive. She defeats the rogue spellcaster but dies of magical overload. Overcome by grief, Sione forbids the girls from continuing their training. Rowan misses magic and her mom every day, though everyone else seems to be moving on. She starts having visions of her mom trying to communicate something important. After clashing with her dad, she runs away from home, determined to teach herself the magic she needs to bring Cassie back to life.

Rowan ends up in Evergreen Harbor, where being a homeless teen in a smog-infested city isn't conducive to developing her magical prowess. She temporarily loses her abilities but is introduced to a couple who takes in wayward teens. After a dream visit from her mom, her magic returns. She and her friend, Alejandro, research all things paranormal and find themselves in a haunted house, where she receives advice from Claude René Duplantier Guidry. Eventually, she returns to the Realm, which is shockingly still intact, and where she finally learns what she needs to do. She casts dedeathify at her mom's grave, and her family is finally reunited.
GENERATION NINE

Whew, we're finally almost finished. Generation nine is ongoing, and its heir, August Uchiyama, only just became a teen the last time we saw him (and will probably look a bit different when we see him again because I have to remake his teen version 😭). After bringing her mom back, Rowan started dating one of her friends from Evergreen Harbor, Raveena Uchiyama. They eventually got married, settled into a hippie lifestyle on a big Henford-on-Bagley farm, and had five kids. August is the middle child and only boy. He's had a rather idyllic childhood full of farm animal friends, oversized crops, and adventures with Uncle Alejandro and Grandma Cassie. He has a lot coming up for him that remains top secret. 🤐

Back to Naomi and Micah, they're August's older twin sisters. (They also have younger twin sisters, Tess and Sadie.) Since August is the heir, they've existed mostly in the background so far. But Naomi proved herself to be a cigarette-smoking rebel who frequently snuck out at night and cut class to hang out with her delinquent friends, and Micah was a reserved, rather moody teen who enjoyed painting and journaling but eventually branched out and joined the cheer team. In The Mourningvale Files, they're meant to be in their late 20s and still struggling to find their footing as adults. I'm excited to develop their characters more before I eventually (hopefully) make my way backwards to fill in the rest of August's story. This may be the final generation for how fucking long it's going to take me to finish. 😅

Hello everybody, and welcome to this absolutely massive 22 generation legacy challenge I came up with and figured I would share. This took so much time and heart to complete, so I hope you all enjoy it.
In real life, I love to collect tarot cards, so I thought that a tarot-based sims 4 challenge would be really cool. So off I went searching to see if it had been done before. I managed to find only a few instances of a similar challenge being done before, but I felt I wanted to give my own spin of it a go, and so I started writing my own. A full tarot deck has 78 cards, which is entirely too many generations, but following the 22-card journey through the Major Arcana seemed much more reasonable. Each card has such personality that building a unique gen for each was much more straightforward than I anticipated.
The order I followed was that of the traditional Rider Waite deck in the upright positions; the meanings and characterization I give for each card are based off interpretations from a few different tarot websites and from referencing my own collection and their guidebooks. Some cards have somewhat similar themes, so whilst some traits and skills may appear more than once because of this, I did my best to make every gen unique from one another in their own ways. I highly encourage you to research each card as you get to each gen to gain a better feel for their character and better understanding of the vibe each card presents. And hey, if you don’t feel my character interpretation is accurate to the card, feel free to change up the generation to a characterization that fits better for you! At the end of the day, tarot is all about personal interpretations and reflection, I see no reason a challenge based upon it can’t be the same.
(Please note that I designed most of this before Lovestruck was released, so it was not included in this challenge.)

Ground Rules
-aging must be on, lifespan is up to you though
-cheats allowed to enhance the story if desired, but are not encouraged
-your heir may be whichever child best fits the next gen unless specified
-aspirations, skills, and career tracks should be completed before moving on unless specified
-I wrote each gen as the gender they appear on the traditional tarot cards, but you do not have to follow the genders that the tarot cards imply (ex. the Empress may be male or nonbinary, they do not have to be a female sim)
- I only designed certain generations to feature supernatural sims; these gens must be that supernatural type, but you are free to make any other gen supernatural. If you think being a supernatural makes sense for a specific gen, feel free to do so
The Major Arcana
The Major Arcana is the core of the tarot deck; it represents the major themes the soul goes through in the journey to enlightenment. The Major Arcana follows the journey of the Fool as they set out into the world. We follow them through all the ups and downs they experience across the Major Arcana until they finally reach the completion of their journey with the World.
0. The Fool
Beginnings, freedom, spontaneity, adventure, idealism, innocence
The Fool often represents the start of a new journey. He steps confidently into a wide-open world that he is ready to embrace. He is often optimistic, and almost childish in his idealism about life. The Fool may also represent the beginnings of a literal journey. Love with the Fool is passionate and exciting, but he sometimes lacks commitment in his eagerness to begin new adventures.
For as long as you can remember, you have always wanted to see what the world has to offer. Now that you have grown up, you are ready to set off on your adventure! Your family may see you as naïve, and people may judge you for never seeming to commit to anything for too long, but you love the thrill that trying new things and seeing new places gives you.
-have the childish, noncommittal, and adventurous traits
-complete at 2 levels each of the City Native, Beach Life, and Mt. Komorebi Sightseer aspiration.
-achieve maximum level 5 in at least 6 different skills, focusing on one at a time. You can achieve less than level 5 but should not go over level 5. These 6 skills should all be full skills, meaning they require a level 10 to max.
-do not commit to one career; every time you reach level 4 in a career, you must quit it and start a new one. If you take a part-time job, you must quit it after you have been in it for 3 in-game weeks. You may quit your jobs before these benchmarks are reached if you wish.
-you must visit each world (including vacation worlds) at least once over your lifetime. You do no have to commit much time to each world, visiting a lot once for a few hours in enough. You must also live in at least 4 different worlds.
-have multiple whirlwind romances, but never truly settle down long-term
-no limit on children, but your heir must be a spellcaster
I. The Magician
Resourcefulness, logic, influence, commitment, willpower, manifestation, skill
The Magician is a representation of willpower. He already possesses all the skills necessary to succeed and he knows it. He has the power to manifest the outcome that he desires. He is often a person of great ability and wisdom, and he does not hesitate to use his full potential. In love, the Magician is deeply committed and serious in his intentions.
Unlike your parent before you, you are committed to finishing what you start. As you grew older, you developed powers that none of your siblings seem to possess; as with all you do, you will not rest until you understand them. You commit yourself fully to understanding the mechanics of the world, and find great aptitude in designing the very things you long to understand.

II. The High Priestess
Mystery, spirituality, intuition, the unconscious
The High Priestess speaks of our inner voice. She listens well to her intuition and seems to hold knowledge of things mysterious to the average person. She may seem mysterious and sometimes otherworldly due to her calm exterior and innate knowledge of all things spiritual. The High Priestess may appear highly attractive to those around her; she values honesty in her relationships and is very passionate once you get past her calm surface.
You grew up surrounded by magic, and whilst you may not have any of your own, this made you a deeply spiritual person. You believe that there is magic everywhere and in everyone, it’s just not always so obvious. You understand the powers of the world so well that you turn readily to meditation and the soul world. You find peace in yourself, and you plan to help lost souls around you find theirs.

III. The Empress
Fertility, beauty, sensuality, nurturing, divine feminine, abundance, creativity
The Empress represents all things feminine. She carries beauty and joy with her wherever she goes and is often a highly creative person. She tends to be very caring and nurturing and is often a mother figure to those around her, if not an actual mother. She values her family highly and will do as much as she can to ensure their happiness. In love she is highly caring and leans towards stable and serious relationships.
Your parent before you found happiness in the spiritual, but for as long as you can remember the thing you wanted more than anything was a big and lively family of your own. You commit fully to your children and spouse, and they are the centre of your whole world. Aside from your family, you have a strong creative side, and a soft spot for all things pretty and girly. Your home finds itself overflowing with pretty things and the art you have created.

IV. The Emperor

The Emperor represents organization and control. He represents masculine energy and stands as a father figure to those around him. He values family highly but believes in a more disciplined approach of raising his children. He is decisive and clear in his goals, and often resides in a position of authority. The Emperor approaches his relationships logically, and he often looks for a traditional relationship. He is often well established and may be older when he fully commits.
You grew up in a big and loving family, and because of this you would love to have a big family of your own. You see yourself as a natural leader and feel you would easily be able to raise your children to follow in your footsteps. Your children sometimes say you are too strict, but everybody you’ve met respects and looks up to you as the great person you know you can be.

The Hierophant represents embracing tradition. They like to stay within the bounds of what is known and prefer to conform rather than branch out. They are often extremely set in their ways and traditions. They also often fill a mentorship position to many people. The Hierophant often has a very traditional relationship, often choosing a partner who they view as safe and respectable to those around them.
Your parents raised you well, some may say a little too well. You live a very modest life, and you are happy for it. You pursue a respectable teaching career, marry an acceptable person, attend weekly services, practice a safe hobby, own a picture-perfect picket-fence home, and have the ideal 2.5 children. You may never do anything “exciting” in your life, but you are content.

VI. The Lovers
Love, unity, relationships, soulmates, romance, partnership, balance
The Lovers represents the ideal relationship. They have a deep trust and unity with one another, and therefore have a very deep and intense bond. The Lovers are true to themselves and each other; they do not allow society to decide for them what it is they should believe. In love they are deeply committed and are the perfect representation of soulmates; they may also have to make sacrifices if they wish to commit to the relationship.
Your parents always called you too fantastical when you didn’t grow out of it, but all you ever dreamed of was finding your own one true love. You spend your days designing flower arrangements and bouquets for weddings and anniversaries so other people can celebrate their love, until one day you meet a new coworker who fits into your life like a missing piece. Your parents don’t approve of them, but you have finally found your soulmate and you couldn’t be happier.

VII. The Chariot
Victory, ambition, willpower, strength, hard work, success, control
The Chariot represents victory due to determination and self-control. He is usually strong in body and will, and almost always emerges victorious in what he pursues. He is confident, focused, and bold, and this may sometimes come across as aggressive due to this. In love, he may be split; he needs to have a clear understanding of what he wants in life before he can choose the right path for himself.
Your parent always told you to chase your dreams no matter what anybody says, and you fully intend to. You want to be the strongest you can be, and nobody will stop you. Other than your occasional temper, you have very good self control which lends itself well to your military career. One day you decide to rescue a dog, and you quickly find great joy in training your pet up to peak performance alongside you so you can be an unstoppable team.

VIII. Strength
Courage, inner strength, compassion, self confidence, perseverance, bravery
Strength is representative of inner strength and mastering your emotions. She is compassionate and calm and shows great inner strength rather than external strength. She always has time for those she cares for and she is extremely patient, and often appears quite fearless. In love Strength is compassionate and empathetic; she may attract a partner with a wild side that she balances out.
Your parent was always a little hot-headed and valued strength above all else, but you don’t see it that way. You always thought true strength came from within. You intend to find your own inner power and find great joys in the little things in life. You give yourself freely to those around you and offer a level head to them when needed. You find yourself smitten with a person who turns out to be a little more “wild” than you thought, but you find your calm ways perfectly balance out their more aggressive tendencies.

The Hermit represents the search for the inner self. He spends much of his time in solitude in order to better look within himself and search for his inner voice. He works hard to discover who he truly is on the inside, and often appears wise and as a guiding figure to those around him. The Hermit needs time to decide what he truly wants from his relationships. Once he has taken the time to reflect upon himself and those he loves, the bonds he forms are very strong.
You never felt that you truly knew yourself, no matter how hard you tried. Your parent tried to help you as best they could, but they never could fully understand you. You never really connected with the wolf side of yourself, so you do everything in your power to find out what it is you really want to be. You join a local werewolf pack to better learn your wolf side, but as much as they respect you, you don’t feel you fit in and you prefer to spend your time alone with your insects and candles.
-loner, bookworm, genius
-complete the Werewolf Initiate, Emissary of the Collective (except for becoming alpha), and then the Cure Seeker aspirations
-as a teen, have your parent help you master wellness. Max cross stitch and fabrication skills
-you keep bees and craft candles with their wax. You earn your money by selling honey and candles at a weekly market.
-In an attempt to understand yourself and your condition better, you join the Moonwood Collective werewolf pack. You prefer your alone time but commit to them when needed. Your pack should respect and look up to you. Gain the rank of Beta in your pack before you cure yourself, but never take over as alpha. Complete and display the insect and Moonwood relics collections.
-Find your fated mate. They are fully ready to start a relationship with you, but you need time to find yourself. Once you have cured yourself, you finally commit to a relationship with them. They should also take the cure before you have your child.
-have one non-werewolf child
X. The Wheel of Fortune
Fate, change, luck, cycles, destiny
The Wheel of Fortune represents the ever-moving cycle of life, fate, and destiny. Life comes with both good days and bad days; both are necessary and cannot be avoided. The Wheel of Fortune is always turning, and life is always changing. Fate will come to pass whether you fight it or embrace it.
Your parent may have felt the need to change who they are, but you embrace what fate has in store for you. Every aspect of this gen is randomized.
-Randomize all your traits, your aspiration, 2-3 skills to max, and your career.  If your aspiration requires a specific career, you may choose to either reroll your aspiration to get one that does not require a specific career, or you may commit to the career your aspiration requires.
-roll from 1-8 to see how many children you should have. If you never get a solid partner, you may adopt or have science babies. Ensure whichever child you choose as heir is human.
-if you wish, use an online Sims 4 random events generator at least once per week for an extra layer to this gen
-every in-game week, roll 1-6 to see how your love life pans out
              1. If you are in a relationship, break it up
              2,4, or 6. No change in relationship this week
3. Start a new romantic relationship. If you are currently in a relationship, this means cheating on your partner (unless you have the loyal or good trait, in which case you break any current relationship before starting the new one).
5. Take your existing relationship to the next level. (boyfriend/girlfriend > engaged > married)
XI. Justice
Justice, karma, law, truth, honesty, integrity
Justice represents fair and equal judgement. She is someone who always carefully weighs her decisions and recognizes that the choices she makes will have long term consequences. She seeks out the truth above all things and pays no attention to any unfounded opinions others may hold. She is often a mediator, and whilst not everybody will love the stances that she takes, she is highly respected. Justice recognizes that relationships take work; she puts in effort and treats her partner fairly and expects fair treatment in return. She values honesty highly and will work find out the truths of her partner; she will always find out if she has been disrespected or betrayed.
You always felt much more grounded than your parent. They believed in the power of fate, but you believe in facts. You believe in facts and truth so much that you build a career out of judging what is true or not. You value those around you highly, and strongly believe that everyone deserves a chance at fairness and respect. Whilst not everyone agrees with your stances, you make yourself open to all and become a pillar of your community.

If your partner ever cheats on you, you will find out and must leave them.

XII. The Hanged Man
Waiting, sacrifice, uncertainty, lack of direction, confinement, perspective
The Hanged Man represents one who makes sacrifices for the good of progress. He is stuck in a place in life that he does not enjoy and even feels trapped in, but he sees this as a necessary sacrifice for his goals to be achieved. He puts his life on hold with no issues and waits patiently to pick it back up again, sometimes for a very long time, until he is certain the best results are inbound. The Hanged Man is patient when it comes to love. He recognizes that either he or his partner may not be ready for commitment and knows that sacrifice may be needed in order for his relationship to survive.
Your plan for life was never very traditional. You have a passion for the slopes and spending your nights having fun, and that’s enough for you. That is until a surprise pregnancy wrecks your life plans. You may not be anything like your parent, but they did raise you to always do the right thing, so you get married and quit your dream to support your new baby. You aren’t necessarily happy in your new life, but you love your child fiercely and will do anything for them.  If that means giving up your dreams until they can support themselves, then that is what you’ll do.
-Start out life with the cheerful, active, and bro traits. Every second promotion after you get married, change a trait until you have the gloomy, lazy, and squeamish traits. After you reach level 8 in your career and your child is a teen, you may change these all back.
-have the extreme sports enthusiast aspiration; complete max 2 levels of it before you stop pursuing it. Only finish your aspiration after you rekindle your passion.
-as a teen/YA master either skiing or snowboarding and dancing skills; once you get married stop practicing these skills; start practicing again once your child becomes a teen, and you have reached level 8 in your career.  You can try out multiple new hobbies over your lifetime, but only reach level 3 max in each before you decide its not for you.
-early YA make money through snowboarding videos or teaching ski classes (available at level 10 of each skill), and through completing odd jobs. After marriage, join the salaryperson career to support your family. You may quit your job and re-chase your passion after you find yourself again
-You have a wild youth; sneak out as a teen, slack off in school, etc.; as an adult throw parties or go to bars or clubs every night, have a lot of no-strings woohoo with many different sims, and generally have a good time. After marriage, fully commit your time to your job and raising your child; go all out for holidays and birthdays for your child but spare no time for anybody else in your life. After you find yourself again, you may rebuild a social life and throw weekly house parties again (albeit more mature ones now).
-whilst a YA, get pregnant/get another sim pregnant after a one-night stand. Marry them before the baby is born because you believe it is the right thing to do. You can be friends with them, but do not max your romance bar with your spouse (cheat this back down after marriage if needed). You do not realize how much you love your spouse until adulthood after your child becomes a teen and you reach level 8 in your career, wherein you can finally max your romance with them.
-Your first child is your heir. You may choose to have more children in late adulthood once you realize you truly love your spouse.
XIII. Death
Endings, change, transformation, letting go, transition
Death is representative of change, most often positive ones. Death tells us that the past must be left behind in order to embrace the future – no matter how hard letting go may be. Death tells us that sometimes our old self must die so our new, more true self, can be born.
You watched your parent wither away your whole childhood until they finally found their joy for life again, and you decided quickly that that would never be you. You intend to squeeze everything out of life for yourself that you possibly can with no care for how it hurts those around you. That is until you experience a brush with death, and completely change your views on what life means. Now you live your life (or what’s left of it) with a full focus on making both yourself and the world into the best that they possibly can be because life is too short, and the future should be cherished.
-Start your life with the mean, self-absorbed, and snob traits. Change to the green fiend, recycle disciple, and loves the outdoors traits after your “death.”
-as a teen/early YA have the party animal aspiration; after “death” complete Good Vampire aspiration
-max the gardening, vampire lore, and charisma skills
-master the Conservationist, Environmental Manager career
-as a teen/early YA, you are “attacked” by a vampire and turned. This “death” compels you to become the best person you can be for yourself and spurs a desire to help the world. Fully clean up Sulani. Make sure the neighbourhood you live in has a green eco-footprint. Support green-initiative NAPs. Become self-sufficient.
-as a teen/YA, have a “troublemaker” boyfriend/girlfriend. After your “death,” you must breakup as they no longer fit the life you want for yourself. You may choose to stay single, or find a partner who also has eco-centric values
-have one non-vampire child
XIV. Temperance
Balance, peace, inner calm, harmony, tranquility
Temperance represents balance and patience. They are a calm individual who does not let anything get to them, and one who avoids extremes in their day-to-day. They are a person who has found their own peace; they work well with their community and find great purpose in their life choices. In love, Temperance is patient and understanding; their partner may require these qualities in order to find true harmony in the relationship.
Your parent gave their all to fixing the world around them and trying to make it a better place. You’ll leave the fighting side to them, but you did inherit their love for all things green and living. You grow and provide food for your community and find a great purpose in doing so. It may be a simple life, but it’s yours and you find peace and happiness in it.
-loves the outdoors, animal enthusiast, and cheerful traits

-marry your soulmate, who should have the hot-headed trait. They may be fiery, but you have great patience and always work things out with them in the end.

XV. The Devil
Addiction, obsession, excess, dependency, powerlessness, temptation, vice, self-destruction
The Devil represents addiction. He is a being of indulgence, giving in to his urges for luxury and materialism. He finds himself addicted to all things pleasureful, including substances, material things, and lust fueled actions. He may feel powerless to fight these urges, and often has no control over his impulses. The Devil gives into lust and doesn’t always commit, which can harm his relationships if he does not learn to openly communicate with his partners.
Growing up your life was pretty plain. You never could find anything that really brought you happiness the way your parents found theirs. You start indulging your darker urges in an attempt to find some joy in life. These simple indulgences soon grow into a lifestyle. Eventually you start brewing you own drinks, and soon you find yourself mixed up in a bootlegging business. Turns out, you’re pretty good at it. You still aren’t passionate about anything in particular, but you find plenty of ways to make yourself happy, if only temporarily.
-materialistic, glutton, and kleptomaniac
-complete the Serial Romantic aspiration
-master the mixology, nectar making, and juice fizzing skills
-Master the criminal career, boss branch
-you have a drinking addiction and struggle to control your impulses. After you get into making drinks, your sim should drink a lot; drink at least 3 drinks per in-game day and get dazed from drinking at least once per week. Try to complete whims rather than decide for your sim what to do.
-Have multiple ongoing partners; you may get married and divorced as much as you’d like, but always have multiple partners even if you say you are monogamous
-no real limit on kids
XVI. The Tower
Chaos, upheaval, trauma, disaster, destruction, sudden change, catastrophe
The Tower represents sudden and major changes. The change the Tower brings is not always a bad thing, but it is often chaotic and scary as it happens. The Tower shakes who you are to the very core and completely breaks apart who you are. It sometimes heralds deeply traumatic events on the horizon.
You grew up and got immediately recruited into your parent’s bootlegging business, which was never really your speed. You wanted to cause mayhem, but apparently this was the best you could get. That is until one day on the job when you get caught. The people that caught you offer you a deal, work for them as a spy inside the family business and you won’t get thrown in jail. You do this grudgingly until one day, a chance to be the bringer of chaos you always wanted to be presents itself.
-erratic, non-committal, and paranoid. Take trait changes whenever they come up, but always keep the erratic trait.
-complete the Chief of Mischief aspiration, then randomly swap your aspiration very few days
-master mischief and programming skills
-Start out in the family crime business. Get recruited into the secret agent career. Master the secret agent, villain branch.
-you are the embodiment of chaos, and your life is therefore chaotic. Move homes multiple times; decide if you will be friendly or mean to everyone in your life with a daily coin flip; break into people’s homes to prank their appliances and make messes; hack into things; cause general mayhem.
-Every relationship you start must result in marriage; every marriage must end in divorce. Have at least 3 marriages.
-Have one pregnancy per marriage. Your heir must be human
XVII. The Star
Inspiration, rejuvenation, hope, positivity, healing, renewal, positivity
The Star represents renewal and hope. The Star has the courage to step away from the chaos of the Tower and is therefore able to heal from the damage it has caused. The Star holds great inner strength and is resilient and hopeful. She is very positive and calm, and she knows that everything will turn out okay. The Star has an optimism that draws people to them. When it comes to love, the Star may sometimes find that a person from her past will re-enter her life in a new, deeper way.
Your parent lived a life of mayhem and pain, and the relationship you had with your family was always toxic because of it. As soon as you are able, you completely cut off your family and start fresh. You build your own little family of friends and start healing yourself and find a passion for healing those around you too. You find ways to share your joy with those you care for and make your own happiness. That is until a face from your past comes back into your life, and completely changes your plans all over again.

The Moon represents an illusion. The Moon calls you to trust your intuition to navigate the illusions that surround you. Secrets are being kept from you. Either it is your mind playing tricks on you, or the truth is being concealed from you, but the front you see is not real. You must put in the work to truly see the realities that surround you. Past experiences may cloud your judgement; try to fully understand those around you so as not to put your relationships in jeopardy.
You grew up happy and always thought the best of people, until someone that you loved deeply and trusted implicitly completely ripped out your heart and broke all faith you had in others. You became convinced that the world was out to get you; that those around you are hiding things from you that you have a right to know. All you want to do is discover the truth of what’s around you. You fell in love again, but you can’t bring yourself to have faith in them like you’d like to. They keep disappearing for “beach trips” which must be a cover for them cheating on you, right?

XIX. The Sun
Happiness, optimism, vitality, joy, confidence, success, abundance
The Sun represents joy, success, and vitality. The Sun is strongly optimistic and happy, and this rubs off on those around them. People are drawn to the Sun, who is often able to share their success with the people around them. In all their relationships the Sun is happy and fulfilled, and this makes them a very attractive individual.
Your parent always hated it when people were keeping secrets, so you grew up always showing off your true self. As it turns out, people love you for this. You have a passion for acting, and your infectious attitude helps find fame in it quickly. The world seems to love your bright and open nature, and if letting people speak with you is all it takes to make their day, then you’ll speak to as many people as possible. Bringing the world joy is your pleasure.

Awakening, renewal, self-evaluation, purpose, reflection, choice
Judgement represents the moment when we step back and evaluate our past and our actions. Judgement calls us to reflect upon the past to form an understanding of who we are and who we want to be. It is also about choices; what we do has a profound effect on our lives. Judgement tells us our choices have consequences, and what we have done will either pan out, or come back to haunt us.
Your parent always had plenty of friends and people skills that never really rubbed off on you. You found peace more in books and history than you ever did other people. You fall in love, get married and have a kid, but your spouse seems to have an issue with how you live your life and leaves you. For all your knowledge on the past, you just can’t seem to look properly at your own and see where you went wrong. Once you finally achieve your dreams, you are finally able to take a step back and see for yourself just where it is that you went wrong and decide to try to fix what you have broken.

Welcome to my not so berry pastel rainbowcy legacy!! I've been eyeing this challenge for a while and once i even reached gen 4 in it but i lost my save file. So, this is my 2nd take on this challenge, I revised some of the rules and added some new ones to fit my preferences, hope ya'll gonna like it!

Growing up you’ve always been the odd one in your family, the outcast, a Sim with no supernatural abilities. You didn’t really have anyone to relate to, since you lived a rather sheltered life… When things got rough, you found your sisters art supplies and instantly fell in love with painting. When you grew up you decided to get away from your supernatural roots and seek refuge in one of the family’s abandoned vacation home. With no job and thus no income, you try to make the best of things by growing your own crops to eat and sell your art for money. Love doesn’t come easy for you and your love-live is a bit of a mess, but all in all you’ll have a big normal happy family you’ve always dreamt of!

🌈 TS3 ARCHETYPE LEGACY CHALLENGE

to celebrate 100 followers (thank you!!) i’m sharing this 12-generation legacy challenge i created based on the 12 jungian archetypes where each generation represents one of the archetypes. it’s mostly trait-based with some requirements for each generation. feel free to tweak them however you want–these are guidelines, not strict rules, it’s meant to be fun after all! the challenge is completed once the 13th generation is born (or once you’re bored 🤷)

the set-up:
start by creating your founder (a YA sim) that represents one of the archetypes described below. for this challenge the order doesn’t matter, choose based on what makes the most sense storytelling-wise or use a number generator for extra randomness
the founder and each heir must all have a primary trait that corresponds to their respective archetype as well as a secondary trait selected from a given list (see archetype rules below). the remaining 3 traits are up to you except for the ones that aren’t allowed for that generation (we’ll call them “conflicting traits”). if a child is born with a conflicting trait they may not become heir unless you replace that trait via alchemy/cheating. to make the trait assignment process easier i highly recommend downloading the mod that enables all traits for all ages
lifetime wishes are up to you
there are no rules for other sims in your household, only for your founder and heirs (but there are some requirements that may involve their spouses/children in some way)
...now for the archetypes!
the 12 archetypes:
1. THE INNOCENT 🐣 “free to be you and me”
primary trait: GOOD
secondary trait (choose at least one): absent-minded, easily impressed, excitable, friendly, loves the outdoors, family-oriented, over-emotional, childish, hopeless romantic
conflicting traits: mean-spirited, snob, evil
may be employed in any career except crime, politics and scam artist branch of fortune telling (no place for pure innocent souls like them)
every time sim wishes to donate to charity, they must fulfill that wish
may only woohoo on 3d date
may not cheat or have multiple romantic interests
may only try for baby with their spouse
if an innocent heir receives an imaginary friend doll as a toddler, it must come alive and they must remain good friends till the end of the run
must pet a unicorn at least once
2. THE EVERYSIM 🤝 “all sims are created equal”
note: most of the time it’s impossible to prevent your sim from becoming at least a 1-star celebrity, so personally i would play an everysim by opting the household out of the celebrity system in the gameplay options menu.
primary trait: FRIENDLY
secondary trait (choose at least one): easily impressed, excitable, frugal, good sense of humor, workaholic, green thumb, handy, schmoozer
conflicting traits: snob, rebellious, avantgarde, star quality, natural born performer, loner
may not be self-employed (freelancing is too lonely for someone who wants to belong)
may be employed in any career except those that are supernatural-related or feature being in the spotlight (showtime careers, singer or band, actor etc.), but they may only reach level 5 of any career track. they may change careers as many times as you wish
must have one “normal” hobby (e.g. gardening, fishing, horse riding etc.)
must fix every appliance on the lot by themselves
must be friends with their neighbor(s) or/and colleagues and invite them over for dinner at least once a week
must always do the suck up to boss interaction for at least 2 hours every work day
may not accept opportunities that increase celebrity points (or any opportunities at all, if you want extra limitations)
may not be friends with sims who have rebel influence (unless colleagues or neighbors)
may not cook ambrosia or use other “magical” ways to control their aging
may not interact with supernatural or magical things (e.g. alchemy, woodoo dolls, bonehilda coffins, imaginary friends, unicorns etc.)
may not become a supernatural
may not socialize with supernaturals, unless they are your colleagues/neighbors OR unless your sim was born a supernatural
if your sim was born a supernatural, there are 2 ways of developing the storyline:
i. find the cure asap and prove that you renounce your past by gaining an enemy among the members of the appropriate occult and winning a fight against them ii. find a community of members of your occult type. group up with at least one fellow supernatural every week, marry and have children only within your occult type (if needed, you can be the one to turn them). however, you can’t be the leader of this community (e.g. the leader of a werewolf pack, the king/queen of the fae etc.)
must only marry or have children with a person from their community: either a colleague, a sim who lives nearby, someone who shares your sim’s traits etc. if your sim was born a supernatural, their spouse must be the same type of occult as your sim
if the sim’s child receives an imaginary friend doll you may not allow them to interact with it unless it’s the heir who was rolled as the innocent (in which case they must befriend the doll) 
3. THE HERO 💪 “where there’s a will, there’s a way”
primary trait: BRAVE
secondary trait (choose at least one): athletic, disciplined, friendly, good, adventurous, daredevil, lucky, star quality, social butterfly
conflicting traits: snob, proper, loner, coward
may be employed in the following careers: law enforcement (special agent), military, professional sports, firefighter, ghost hunter, lifeguard
must reach level 10 in the selected career track
must reach a 5-star celebrity level
may not have burglar or fire alarms on their home lot and must always fight the burglar or extinguish the fire by themselves
must explore at least one rabbit hole (e.g. masoleum, haunted house etc.)
must perform the “promise to protect” interaction with every new sim they meet (aim to have the “protector” moodlet at all times)
must drive a motorcycle
4. THE CAREGIVER 🧸 “love your neighbor as yourself”
primary trait: FAMILY-ORIENTED
secondary trait (choose at least one): frugal, neat, natural cook, animal lover, nurturing
conflicting traits: commitment issues, dislikes children, slob, evil, mean-spirited
may be self-employed or work in the following careers: medicine, culinary, education, daycare
may not try for baby until they have acquired the fertility treatment lifetime reward
once the fertility reward is acquired, you must try for baby each time instead of woohoing (but you can change the chance of pregnancy via nraas/use risky woohoo)
must always dance to kids music for a couple of hours during each pregnancy (to increase the chance of triplets)
may not hire a babysitter–they must care for their toddlers themselves
all toddlers must learn the 3 basic skills (walking, talking & potty). other members of the household may help, but your sim must take part as well
may not go to work when there are toddlers on the lot. they may work from home if they’re self-employed. once all toddlers have aged up to children, the sim may travel to work if there are other sims in the household who can watch the kids (not special services)
must teach teenage children to drive
must be best friends with all their children by the time they reach teenagehood
may not send their kids to boarding schools
must help every child with homework at least once
if pets ep is installed: must have at least one pet. another idea you can play out is start a pet legacy that will continue on together with the main legacy
if a member of a household is deceased while playing the caregiver, you must leave their tombstone on your home lot and let the ghost roam freely
5. THE EXPLORER 🧭 “don’t fence me in”
primary trait: LOVES THE OUTDOORS
secondary traits (choose at least one): adventurous, lucky, rebellious, brave, commitment issues, gatherer, athletic
conflicting traits: couch potato, coward, hates the outdoors
may only be self-employed as only freelance works for explorers who need as much freedom as possible
must move to a different lot every week until they have children who live on the same lot as them, then they can build a legacy house and settle down
must visit all 3 countries, explore at least one tomb in each one and befriend at least one sim from each country
may not try for baby until they’ve visited all 3 countries
each time your sim woohoos, they must do it in a different location. try to woohoo in as many different spots as you can!
may only marry/have children with sims who are different from them in some way (an opposite trait, appearance, an occult, a foreign sim etc.)
when the successor reaches childhood stage, your sim must travel with them to a country of your choice to “show them the world”
when they settle down and get married, every week you have to roll a number to determine whether the union is going to survive (if it’s 1 keep them together, if it’s 2 break them up). the exception is when the spouse is pregnant, in this case you may wait until they give birth and then roll. keep doing this until you switch to the next heir
must complete at least one collection (gems, rocks, butterflies etc.) 
must fulfill all midlife crisis wishes
must accept every opportunity they get
must take at least one picture a day (to remember all the majestic experiences)
must attend every seasonal festival
6. THE REBEL 📣 “rules are made to be broken”
primary trait: LONER or REBELLIOUS
secondary traits (choose at least one): artistic, daredevil, hot-headed, inappropriate, kleptomaniac, rebellious, loner, avantgarde, charismatic, dramatic
conflicting traits: proper
may only be self-employed or work in the following careers: criminal (thief), journalism, music (rock), politics. can also be a band member
must organize protests every week
teen must pull a prank every day
teen must skip school at least once
teen must stay out past curfew at least once
must get at least 3 tattoos (may not ignore any tattoo wishes)
must write at least one satire book (you’ll need to write 4 humor books for that, but you can also do it with lvl. 4 in writing skill if you have the avantgarde trait)
if the sim is a politician, they must write a political memoir, too
may not have a baby until their rebel influence is level 5 (try to max out the rebel influence)
7. THE LOVER 🌹 “you’re the only one”
primary trait: FLIRTY
secondary trait (choose at least one): friendly, good sense of humor, party animal, star quality, charismatic, great kisser, hopeless romantic, social butterfly, irresistible
conflicting traits: loner, shy, socially awkward, unflirty
may be employed in any career that features being in the spotlight (e.g. music, actor, showtime careers etc.)
must always use “talk to colleagues” interaction at work for a couple of hours (if working at a rabbit hole)
must try to impress every celebrity they encounter
must become a 5-star celebrity
must reach level 10 of charisma skill
must have their first kiss as a teen (unless it’s the founder)
teen must have a partner to go to prom with (aim to become prom queen/king)

must reach level 10 in a creative skill of your choice as well as complete at least 1 skill challenge
must have an art gallery at home filled with their creations (alernatively could be a separate lot that you own)
must have a muse (or several of them), a sim who inspires them to create art
9. THE JESTER 🃏 “you only live once”
primary trait: GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR
secondary traits (choose at least one): friendly, insane, inappropriate, rebellious, star quality, charismatic, childish
conflicting traits: snob, proper, no sense of humor
may be employed in any career or profession, but they may only reach level 3 before “getting fired” for improper behavior. they may also be self-employed, in which case there’s no limit to how high they can score. if you chose a showtime career for your sim, there are also no limits
child sim must skip school at least twice
teen sim must pull every existing type of prank. that includes booby traps, neighborhood pranks and school pranks
teen must stay out past curfew at least once
must write a best-selling humor book (you’ll probably need to write several of them to reach the best-selling status)
must write at least one satire book (you’ll need to write 4 humor books to be able to do that)
must troll on forums at least every other day (you’ll need the inappropriate, mean-spirited, evil or grumpy trait to perform this action, so if you really don’t want your sim to have one of these traits you can ignore this rule)
every time the sim swims, they must skinny dip (unless there are children on the lot)
10. THE SAGE 📜 “the truth will set you free”
primary trait: GENIUS
secondary traits (choose at least one): loner, perceptive, ambitious, bookworm, computer whiz, perfectionist, workaholic, brooding, shy
conflicting traits: party animal, social butterfly, couch potato
may be (self-)employed in any career or profession that requires logic or creative skill
must always keep their nerd influence at the minimum level of 5 and win at least 3 trivia challenges
must visit the library/comic store every week
must get on an honor roll as a child and teen
must go to university and get an “a” degree
must reach level 10 of logic skill by adulthood
must max out 2 other skills of your choice
must complete at least one logic skill challenge (grand master, celestial explorer, teacher extraordinaire or skill professor)
must unlock and test all potions on chemistry table
must have at least one child via a non-conventional method (alien abduction, wishing well, plantsim, engineer a baby)
11. THE MAGICIAN 🚀 “i make things happen”
primary trait: BOOKWORM
secondary traits (choose at least one): eccentric, genius, perceptive, ambitious, supernatural fan, charismatic, gatherer
conflicting traits: couch potato, supernatural skeptic 
may be self-employed or employed in the following careers: science, education, fortunetelling (mystic), magician
must reach level 10 of selected career
must be an occult or reach level 10 of alchemy skill. (alternatively: if you don’t have supernatural ep your sim must create ambrosia and master gardening skill)
if your sim is an occult, they must learn all the skills connected to their life state
must use an elixir on themselves/other sims at least once a week
must write at least one horror book (if you have the supernatural fan trait you’ll only need to have lvl 2 writing skill)
must visit the graveyard and talk to ghosts at least once a week
must achieve at least one “unbelievable” thing (example: create a simbot, resurrect a dead sim, clone yourself, cause a utopian future, befriend a unicorn–up to you)
this is the only archetype that’s allowed to be immortal
12. THE RULER 👑 “power isn’t everything, it’s the only thing”
primary trait: AMBITIOUS
secondary traits (choose at least one): evil, family-oriented, mean-spirited, perfectionist, snob, workaholic, charismatic
conflicting traits: couch potato, good, shy, socially awkward
must reach level 10 of criminal (evil), politics or business career
if your sim is employed in politics, they must write a political memoir
must reach level 10 of charisma skill
must establish an inner circle and invite them over every week to discuss their plans for world domination
must get married before reaching adulthood. the marriage must be arranged (the criteria is up to you, an example would be choosing a wealthy spouse or a vampire if your sim is also one)
once the sim gets married, their spouse must quit their current job and get employed in the same career track as your sim
must drive an expensive car
must purchase at least 3 properties
must accumulate at least 50,000 simoleons of wealth
once the household is worth more than 50k, they must donate 1,000 simoleons to charity every week (to avoid paying taxes and improve public image). this option will be available once you reach level 3 of charisma skill. if it’s worth more than 100k simoleons, it should be 5,000 simoleons per week
if sim is a supernatural, they must be the leader (e.g. leader of the pack, king of the fae) and must turn all their colleagues and friends into this type of occult. their spouse must belong or be turned into the same type of occult, too

  Have you ever been in the position, where it’s lashing rain outside and the wind is howling its ghostly cry? You could wind down to a good film but you just feel like playing The Sims, and are in dire need of a legacy with a more story-driven aspect. That’s the position I found myself in the other evening, so I set out to put together this legacy challenge!
    "Seanchas" is the Gaelic word for "Folklore", and so this legacy is very loosely inspired by some famous Irish prose and poems with some elements of Irish mythology thrown in. Please note this legacy contains three supernatural-themed generations. If you are not a fan of supernatural gameplay, you may skip these if you wish. But without further ado, let's get into the rules!

Basic Rules:
No cheats allowed unless specified in the challenge rules. However if cheating needs and weather with UI Cheats for storytelling purposes is your thing then feel free, I do it myself.
There is no hard or fast rule when it comes to inheritance, however unless otherwise stated in the rules of the generation, anything in the range of §10-20k will do fine to get your sims started. Just make sure you leave enough for your previous heir!
For the best possible immersion, I suggest fleshing out your sims, their family and friends as much as possible with their own stories and personalities.
Have a keepsake item to represent each generation and store it in the Keepsake Box, items may be displayed during each generation before being returned to the box before the beginning of the following generation. (Credits to the amazing @windslar for this idea. It’s a great way of reflecting on your past sims!)
You must live in the prescribed worlds and lots of each generation. If no lot is prescribed you may choose a lot to call your home.
I highly suggest using @simkhira’s custom lifespans with MCC however the regular normal and long lifespans will suffice.
I recommend using custom save files and holidays to further spice up your gameplay. (I personally adore Ratboy and Simlicy’s save files as well as OshinSims’ guide to custom holidays).
Finally, just have a bit of craic, this legacy is story-heavy, however feel free to tweak your sims story to your liking. Go wild! Use as many mods as you’d like. My suggestions are linked below.
If you notice any discrepancies or find this challenge difficult, please let me know. I will be playing through it myself, however I’m open to tweaking it if needs be.

You began your story as a youth who grew up in the bustling city of Ciudad Enamorada. You had an exemplary upbringing, but as vibrant, loving and warm as the townsfolk were, you couldn't help but feel a strong desire to break away from your hometown. To reconnect with nature and dwell on an island just like the poet's you've always read about. As luck would have it, an old abandoned cottage came up for sale one day on an island near the idylic lakeside village of Windenburg. And so, naturally you packed your bags and made off for a new adventure amidst the gentle quiet of the lapping lake waters. On arrival you find your new dwelling wholly inspiring. "If the walls of this cottage could talk," the auctioneer remarked as they handed you over the key. You spent the rest of that evening on your old typewriter, a family heirloom. Scribing your every thought and emotion you felt and turning them into enveloping stories and thought-provoking poems. However, your uncanny ability to see others and immerse yourself in their stories may just prove detrimental for your relationships with friends, family and lovers alike...

Goals:
Start out on the 'Mid-NoWhere' lot on the island in Windenburg with §20k simoleons to build or place an old cottage. The more rundown the better and use of live-edit and debug objects is recommended.
Visit Granite Falls at least once a year on a writing retreat and befriend the hermit.
Join the 'Avant Gardes' and schedule a meeting once a week.
Acquire the 'Outdoorsy' lifestyle.
Complete the Frogs collection.
In late young-adulthood, get married just one week after meeting your spouse.
As an adult, a rift begins to form between yourself and your spouse, as you find yourself confiding in your books more often than your partner these days. Perhaps your relationship was a 'kindling flame' rather than a 'roaring fire'. It is up to you whether you file for a divorce or try to make amends with them.
Master the Writing and Herbalism skills.
Master the career of your choice and complete the Bestselling Author aspiration.

Generation 2: An Spailpín Fánach
(‘The Wandering Labourer’ - Unknown Poet)
As much of a grá as you had for your homeland, growing up you always knew you'd have to leave. There was nothing for you on the island. You were never creative like your parents, in fact you were always quite the opposite. Fascinated by animals, particularly horses and by extension, cowboys. In school you picked up a penpal from a small, western town known as Chestnut Ridge. As a land which was renowned worldwide for its mastery in horsemanship, you just couldn't imagine yourself moving anywhere else. And so, one day, you wrote a letter to your penpal begging them to allow you to go and work on their family ranch. They accepted! And now you must graft and learn the ropes to become the town's new champion rider...
Aspiration: Championship Rider
Career: Farm Hand & Odd Job Connoisseur
Traits: Horse Lover, Rancher & Ambitious
Goals:
As a teenager, build up a friendship with your penpal from Chestnut Ridge. They may even travel to Windenburg on a school trip if you wish!
Once you reach young adulthood, move to your penpal's family farm. You will be earning §1,750 per week as a farm hand including your accomodation and food expenses for you and your horse. All other expenditure will come out of your own account. (I highly suggest using the SNB mod or recording your sims funds on a spreadsheet or piece of paper.)
You may use the bulletin board beside the riding centre to earn additional income with odd jobs.
Once per season, you must schedule a Ranch Gathering or Ranch Animal Day.
Buy a horse as soon as you can afford it and have them reach the maximum level in all four skills, (Temperament, Jumping, Agility, and Endurance.)
Complete the postcard collection.
If you wish, you may choose to eventually fall in love or become best friends with your penpal. If you choose to become lovers, your penpal's family will become furious and kick you both out of the household. Otherwise you must have a house of your own by the time you reach adulthood.
Master the Riding skill.
Complete the Championship Rider aspiration.

Generation 3: An Chailleach Bhéara
(‘The Hag of Beara’, Folklore Tale - Various Authors)
Growing up in a small town was never going to be easy. It must be exhausting trying that hard to live in the pockets of others. Either you toed the line and worked the land or you were treated like an outcast. As someone with an intrigue for the art of magic and a flair for flower arranging, you were exiled from society, spat at by some and avoided entirely by others. One day, whilst in high school the local bully decided it was your turn to be picked on. Let's just say they picked on the wrong pissed off lad that day! You stared at the bully in anger and frustration and all of a sudden, the fence they were leaning on snapped, sending them into a pile of horse dung on the far side! Scared witless and confused, all you could do was make haste, for a land that was said to be full of 'strange' individuals like yourself known as Glimmerbrook. You had nearly arrived at your destination when you stumbled upon an overgrown archway in the evergreen woods. The stench of pine was almost insufferable, however it soon became evident that this was no ordinary woods nor ordinary archway, it appeared to be calling your name, and so you put your hand forth into the abyss only to find it was a portal... Mages! Potions! Wands! You have dreamt of this day since you were a child. Now is your chance to prove them all wrong back home and become the great spellcaster you were always destined to be!

Generation 4: Mise Éire

You have always had great time for the literary geniuses of our past. Moreover a great appreciation for the various languages and by extension, cultures which define each and every one of us. Your mortal parent always spoke fondly of their hometown, Copperdale, and one day you realised that’s it! That is where I see my future! Learning about my nation's past, its language and songs. Then spreading your knowledge and giving an inspiring education to its youth. And so as a young adult you set off for the historic university town of Britechester, where you hoped to earn a distinguished degree in Language and Literature. Here you meet some of your best friends, worst enemies and ultimately your soulmate. Later on in life as a teacher you naturally hold your spouse, as well as your own children to incredibly high standards, a fatal flaw which could cost you your relationship with them…

Generation 5: Géibheann
(‘Captivity’ by Caitlín Maude)
If you were to sum up your childhood in one word it would be… torturous. With unrealistic expectations, constant criticism and an overall genuine fear of your parents, you nearly left your dreams for dusk. Nearly did, but not quite. Instead of becoming a doctor as your parents always hoped, you decided you’d be better fit to look after four-legged patients instead. And so, you set off to the seaside town of Brindleton Bay, known for its remarkable advances in animal care. Whilst there you will live with your elderly grandmother who for many years has taken care of the town’s lighthouse. She was so chuffed to hear of your coming that she built a wee shed at the back of her home for you to open your first veterinary practice. It’s a real shame that those back home were never this supportive. Escaping was the only way, you keep telling yourself. I suppose the salt air will do you good if nothing else…
Aspiration: Friend of the Animals
Career: Veterinarian
Traits: Animal Lover, Gloomy & Loyal
Goals:
Once you reach young adulthood, move in with your grandmother who resides in Brindleton Bay.
Open your first practice in the back garden before relocating to a new lot once you reach a 3 star rating.

Adopt at least one stray dog and one stray cat.
Have at least one pet master all the tricks that can be learned.

Generation 6: Cú Chulainn
(Folklore Tale - Various Authors)
You always loved helping out in the clinic at home. But you had a particular grá for dogs, especially the wilder ones. Werewolves always peaked your interest, with their ferocious howls and bloodthirsty stares. It was always rumoured that a pack of werewolves roamed around the woods of Moonwood Mill, so naturally you had to go and discover the truth for yourself. Whilst wandering the dark forests, you came across a rather rundown homestead with a sign outside stating ‘BEWARE OF GREG’. But who is Greg? You soon found out and let’s just say it wasn’t pretty. The day after your encounter you can’t help but shake this ravenous feeling, you just can’t keep yourself full, then the intense hair growth started. One night, as the moon rose in the eastern sky, your change was completed… Your legs grew until it was as if you were on stilts and your ears pointed like spears. Was this really happening or is it just a bad dream? I suppose all one can do now is embrace the fury…
Aspiration: Werewolf Initiate (Followed by any one of the four branches of your choice)
Career: Jeweller
Traits: Dog Lover, Erratic & Glutton
Goals:
Move to Moonwood Mill and pay Greg a visit to initiate the werewolf transformation process.
Complete the Moonwood Relics collection.
Join the werewolf pack associated with your aspiration branch and reach the ‘Alpha’ rank.
Make money through jewellery crafting and fishing.
Go on a family fishing trip to a world of your choosing once per week. It can be on vacation or just as a day trip.
Adopt two child or teenage werewolves, (these may be created in CAS), however your heir must be a human related by blood.
Master the Gemology and Fishing skills.

Generation 7: Dís

You grew up idolising the wolf pack, despite not being a wolf yourself. Yet when the time came you knew you’d have to leave. Becoming a singer has always been the dream, werewolves make very excellent musicians believe it or not! You spent your teenage days with your best friend, a fellow mortal, writing songs and performing them live at the Grimtooth Bar & Bunker. So on your 18th birthday, you and your best friend made for the big city of San Myshuno to fulfil your dreams of becoming musicians. As the years go by, your fame grows. You meet the love of your life and leave your best friend for dusk. Then the morning of your wedding, you wake to see a closeup of your partner caressing another in a tabloid! Heartbroken, you leave your partner at the altar and make a B-line for your ex-best friend’s apartment in the spice district, but will they be able to find it in their heart to forgive you? I hope so. The baby has to sleep somewhere…

Career: Entertainer (Musician)
Traits: Music Lover, Insider & Lovebug
Goals:
Once you reach young-adulthood, move to San Myshuno with your best friend.
Attend all festival invites.
Hold a karaoke night once a fortnight with your friends.
Go busking in the city with your best friend to earn some extra simoleons.
Reach fame level 5 and win a starlight accolade.
Complete the poster collection.
Meet your partner (a music producer) whilst busking in the city, you fall madly in love and move in with them the following week.
Leave them at the altar after you find out about their infidelity.
Move back in with your best friend following your breakup, only to find out you or your ex is pregnant!
Master the Piano and Guitar skills and reach level 5 of the Singing skill.
Master the Entertainer career and complete the Musical Genius aspiration.

Generation 8: Hurlamaboc
(‘Commotion’ by Éilís Ní Dhuibhne’)
Your upbringing was about as far from normal as you could get. Let’s just say the limelight of your parents shone a bit too brightly for your liking. On top of that they fought constantly and were always spiteful of each other. They never told you why. Instead you found out by means of someone plastering that cheating picture all over your school locker! Yikes… And so you sought to give your family a perfectly ordinary upbringing. In the perfect suburban town of San Sequoia, with a childhood full of love, hugs and who could forget the packed lunches? Certainly not you! Especially with your new pizza and waffle makers! However as time passes you find that helicopter parenting is perhaps not always a good thing. With a partner (your high-school sweetheart) that is so laid back that they’re only short of falling over half the time, can you put manners on your spoiled children before it’s too late or will parenthood get all too much for you…
Aspiration: Super Parent and/or Home Chef Hustler
Career: Home Chef
Traits: Family Orientated, Jealous & Foodie
Goals:
Marry your high-school sweetheart and move into a small home in San Sequoia. Grow the house slowly overtime so it fits your ever-growing family!
Complete the MySims collection (you can start collecting them as a teen).
Host a yard sale three times per week where you will sell your baked goods to earn some simoleons.
Host a gold rated dinner party with all your neighbours and closest friends.
Have at least three children.
Your heir must grow up with all their character traits maxed out.
Have a stay over once a month. It can be with your family or your children’s friends.
Build a treehouse for your kids to hang out in.
Once your eldest child becomes a teenager, have them start rebelling (you can go wild and use Basemental if you wish), it is up to you whether your sim can calm their child or if they will spiral out of control.
Master the Cooking and Parenting skills.
Complete the aspiration of your choice.

Generation 9: An Gnáthrud
(‘The Usual Thing by Cathal Ó Searcaigh’)
You got the perfect upbringing. Your creativity was allowed to shine and your parents loved every inch of you. You always had great plans of going to Britechester and studying Art History, that was until news came out of your uncle’s mysterious disappearance. He left his farm in Henford-On-Bagley to your parents, however the pain of his passing was all too much for them to bear. You didn’t want to go, but your uncle was always so good to you as a kid that you felt you must go and investigate his sudden death instead. On arrival all the villagers seem friendly. The Watson’s do seem a bit suspicious though, and why are the Crumplebottoms looking at me like that? It is up to you to restore your uncle’s farm and uncover the truth about his disappearance…
Aspiration: Painter Extraordinaire (Switch for Country Caretaker once you move.)
Career: Farmer and Freelance Artist
Traits: Art Lover, Paranoid & Squeamish (All Parenthood Reward Traits also.)
Goals:
As a child, complete the Creative Genius aspiration.
Once you become a young adult, move to your uncle’s farm in Henford-On-Bagley. It must have the ‘Simple Living’ and ‘Wild Foxes’ lot challenges.
Win at least once in each category at Finchwick Fair and complete the Village Fair Ribbons collection.
You must have at least one chicken, one cow and one llama at all times.
Befriend wild birds and bunnies, these will act as your spies (just kidding).
Run at least one errand for every townie in Henford as a means of getting to know them and gaining their trust.
Option 1 - The Watson’s poisoned your uncle as he refused to sell them his farm. You find out through a bundle of old solicitors letters from the Watsons threatening legal action if your uncle refused to sell up. You bring your evidence to the police and upon further investigation the head of the family is found guilty of your uncle’s murder and is jailed for life.
Option 2 - Your uncle was eaten by the cowplant in the garden (a classic I know). You find out one day when you forget to feed your cowplant and be dies revealing your uncle’s remains!
Master the Painting and Gardening skills.
Once you find out the truth about your uncle you may choose to sell the farm, move into a small tigín with your family and resume the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration or stay on the farm and complete the Country Caretaker aspiration.
In either case you must complete the second level of both aspirations and complete at least one.

Generation 10: Tír na nÓg
(‘The Land of Youth’, Folklore Tale - Various Authors)
Growing up in a well-to-do, tight knit village, people were often nasty and spewed uncensored opinions when it came to keeping up appearances. As a teenager this took a serious toll on you. Beauty and skincare became a ritual. You got up at 6am most mornings to go for a run out of fear that people may call you ‘unfit’ or ‘undesirable’. One morning, whilst out on your morning run, you meet two dark figures. They greet you with kind waves and one of the figures asks you why you’re jogging at such an ungodly hour. Without thinking you tell them your every insecurity. The pair laugh and offer to take you to a place which was said to offer eternal youth and beauty to its inhabitants. A land known as Forgotten Hollow. You jump at the opportunity and follow the pair back to their homestead. A large haunting estate greets you on arrival and before you know it, you feel a pair of sharp, dagger-like objects sinking into the side of your neck. Teeth!! Before you know it, you drift into a deep slumber. On awakening you rub your eyes to see the same two figures you saw in the woods, except this time, one of the figures appears to be holding a pouch filled with a red substance. Blood? Your lips begin to tremble as they approach. So… thirsty... For the first time you look around and find that you’re sitting in a coffin! “Caleb”, one of the figures remarks as he hands you the pouch. You shake his hand. “And this is my sister, Lillith”, she gazes at you, and to your shock horror two large fangs emerge from her dazzling smile. “It’s so lovely to have company” she spits out. And so began your journey as a vampire, whether you can escape the grasp of the twins or decide to stay and marvel in your newfound beauty and power is entirely up to you…

Goals:
As a teenager, wake up at 6am three mornings per week to go for a jog.
Whilst out on your jog one morning, summon Lillith and Caleb to the lot (using MCC) and follow them back to their manor in Forgotten Hollow.
Whilst there, get bitten and move into the Vatore household.
Option 1: When you age up into a young adult, your thirst for blood envelops your every thought and feeling. You want to become a Master Vampire with the help of Caleb and Lillith.
Option 2: After two sim weeks, one night, whilst hunting the Bramblewood for victims, you stumble across a family member. They convince you to come home. Your family gives you a sum of money and you run away to Willow Creek to pursue a career as a Paranormal Investigator.
Option 1: You marry one of the Vatore twins. Jealousy grows between the twins until one day, Lillith locks Caleb outside, causing him to burn to death!
Option 2: You fall in love with a member of the Goth prodigy (note all original Goth family members will be 10 feet under by this stage) whilst cleansing their mansion. You convert them and the two of you live happily for the rest of eternity raising a family of vampires.
Master the Vampire Lore and Pipe Organ (Option 1) or Medium (Option 2) skills.
If you choose Option 1 master the Paranormal Investigator career and complete the aspiration of your choice.

TRUTH: What's something you had planned for your legacy but it turned out completely different?
Oooooh, you’ve opened a can of worms now! 🐛
The short answer is: The rest of the legacy.
Originally, I had 12 generations mapped out, but I got tired of rushing through each one, so I have now decided that we’re staying with Julia for a long time and then she will be the last heir. I wanted to take my time and really flesh out her story and try new things with my storytelling instead of sticking to my usual 10 short chapters per generation.
Here is an 🌟 exclusive 🌟 original look at what was supposed to happen. If you read my story back when it was on Wordpress, there was a bit more emphasis on the vampires, but I’ve since toned this down when I started reposting everything to Tumblr because none of this will be happening now.
Very long post under the cut:
🦙 Generation 5 is Julia, and she was supposed to have a single child, a son named Marcus. What actually happens in Julia’s life remains to be seen as I have completely rewritten her entire story.
🎤 Generation 6: Marcus wants to become a stand-up comedian but he’s not actually very good at it. He’s a bit of a hippie and finally decides to just move to the woods and start a commune. He has a daughter. He grows his own weed, but ends up infected by a weird, purple plant that starts growing in his fields. He becomes more and more strange until he is tragically killed by Lilith Vatore, who herself dies after biting him.
🦇 Generation 7: Marcus daughter, Nadia, grows up with her grandparents after witnessing her father’s death. She doesn’t remember how he died but is plagued by nightmares about vampires and becomes obsessed with them. As an adult, she becomes an author of steamy vampire romance novels, writing under a pseudonym. She ends up coming into contact with Vlad and her childhood trauma is triggered by meeting Caleb again. She later works with Caleb and Vlad in their attempt to solve the mystery of why Lilith died from biting her father and they discover the purple plants. She falls in love with Vlad and they have twins, Oliver and Paulina.
🍳 Generation 8: Oliver, born a vampire, dreams of becoming a chef and eat real food. Against his father’s will, he takes the vampire cure, but he struggles to deal with his new mortality and aging. He meets a younger woman but reject her in favour of his career, feeling that he doesn’t have enough time for both. She marries someone else and he becomes a celebrity chef, but realises that it’s all meaningless without love and goes to win her back. They have a son, Quinn, but Oliver is getting old and dies when Quinn is only 21.
🌴 Generation 9: Quinn is distraught after losing his father and wants to make sure he gets as much out of life as possible. He decides to travel the world and eventually ends up in Selvadorada where he meets the grumpy tour guide, Isadora, who hates his spoiled ass at first. They get lost in the jungle and discover a strange purple plant, but wisely keep their distance. They eventually find their way home but Quinn has fallen in love with Selvadorada (and Isadora) and decides to stay and work in her father’s museum. He and Isadora have 3 kids.
🚓 Generation 10: Their youngest son, Tulio, decides to become a cop. After making a big mistake, he gets reassigned to the sleepy and boring Henford as punishment. However, Henford has become a lot less boring lately, and Tulio and his partner investigate some strange things happening, finally discovering some underground ruins which contain a huge purple plant that seems to affect the minds of the locals. Tulio decides that this seems supernatural and calls in backup from his great-grandfather Vlad, and they get another piece of the puzzle of the purple plants.
⭐️ Generation 11: Tulio’s daughter, Vanessa, decides to become a famous actress but she secretly longs for eternal youth and beauty and is jealous of her vampiric ancestors. She tries to talk Vlad into letting her become a vampire, but he says no, so she instead tries to seduce and convince Caleb. Shenanigans ensue, including Vanessa murdering her husband, the father of her child, for being a bit of a dick.
🌺 Generation 12: Vanessa’s daughter Xena decides to find the truth behind the Duchelli family’s strange past. She ends up in Strangerville and finally solves the Mother Plant mystery, discovering a convoluted plot involving aliens that goes all the way back to her ancestor Eric’s brother, Daniel, the half-alien from Generation 2.
The End.

Pistache family prehistory Part 1
Some history on the Pistache Family
My current sims family - and one I plan to play with until eternity - are the Pistache's
All of their history can be read or is referred to on my Weebly site, but I thought I'd give a quick summary here too. My front page is in Dutch there (the browser translation is good, though) and most Gen 1 - 2 chapters are also only written in Dutch though again, the browsertranslation is pretty decent.

My founder is Jaeda Pistache. I started her in the usual legacy way: single YA sim on a giant lot in a small shed, trying to fullfill her LTW and getting her to have a kid somehow, the only real goals for all my heirs.
Jaeda is a sim I had in my CAS simbin for a long time; might be for 9 years. I know she is a Gen2 child of a werewolf family I played with in 2015, but most of that documentation is lost to deleted forums & tumblrs.
This also makes her a werewolf originally, but in cas I made her human and I had the goal to make her become a witch & an alchemy artisan. I ignored the werewolf fact until Conall Pistache was born a werewolf through the Supernatural Babies mod.
Then I made up that her background is that of a werewolf-born orphan who was healed from lycantrophy by an alchemist before she could remember anything; feeling something supernatural in her is lacking during her childhood, she reads fairytales in the orphanage library endlessly, has a extreme interest in the occult and ultimately moves to Moonlight Falls to search out the supernatural when thrown out of the Orphanage at 18.
She visits places around town, meets people, gets skilled, earns money - general, undramatic gameplay. Undocumented, as I started playing with her in my free time during an internship, not meaning anything; I took some screenshots which I occasionally posted in discord servers, but that's mostly all gone now. She also met Jules Macduff (who ages into a YA quite quickly) and marries him. In early adulthood, after she reaches level 10 of alchemy and becomes a witch, they get a daughter, Alice.

I didn't plan them to get more Children. But Jules, who is family oriented, kept wishing for more, so I let them do Risky woohoo. Lo and behold, Bianca. Nine years younger than Alice. I peeked at her adult version in CAS and fell in love with my Bibi; this is when I started documenting the family, after Bianca's birth.

However, Jules KEPT WANTING MORE CHILDREN DAMMIT.
I did not approve of that, but he had the inappropriate trait, and is a skilled wizard; some lovecharms and onenightstands do the trick...
Alice felt pushed aside with the birth of her sister, and quickly comes to realize her dad isn't quite the holy man he seems to be; this results in a rebelling, frustrated Alice. As a teen she starts pestering the town, giving the family a bad reputation. Jaeda also discovers Jules' cheating, Jules is plastered everywhere as this big ashhole...
In her late teens, Alice gets angry with her father. She wishes to duel him, I let her. Not realizing I have @flotheory's more death types mod. He dies during the duel... But is revived by the family dog he's best friends with. That doesn't revive the family's reputation, though.

Little Bianca, who saw her father briefly die, is in the bottom left.
Everything in shambles, Alice ends up killing him anyway, getting even more to the dark side of magic; turning him into a zombie. She loses her wildest hairs, getting married to Alexander Nix (born in game son of Annie and Mike Nix. Coincidentally, one of Jules' babymommies is Alex's older sister Mara. The start of a complex family tree... This is all written in English on my weebly site, from the family's introduction until when Alice meets Alex; parts 1 - 8.

Alex isn't the holiest guy either, he has a more-than-right interest in Alice's teenage aged sister Bianca, who is already traumatized. Bullied at school, ostracized in her town having Jaeda - a orphan hermit - and Jules - a corrupt rapist who abuses his magic - as parents and Alice - a town bully who turns everyone into toads - as a sister. Bianca can't wait to get out, and lives life a tad too enthusiastically when she gets out when she is at university. (Part 12 is also written in English, as I was in the mood for it University life being very American culture)

Distraught by her bad grades she gets back, and then she also discovers that Conall, Alice's 2 year old son, is a werewolf. Alice hates werewolves. Downtrodden, she has an impulsive one night stand with Alex (who started flirting her automatically the moment she became an adult -_-) resulting in Demi when she's barely 20.

Alex wants to keep Conall's condition secret for Alice's sake (and his own psychotic tendencies, SP gave him both the Good and Mean spirited traits, so I made a hypocritical holier than tho kinda person) but Alice isn't that dumb, and she discovers - putting the blame with her little sister who she has never gotten along well with (at one point bribing Bianca with skill booster elixers)
Little Demi being Alex's daughter she doesn't know yet, but she does NOT look like her mom...

The Grey and the Dark Legacy Challenge
A six generation legacy challenge dedicated to morally grey and villainous sims.
Required packs: Get to Work, Island Living, Journey to Batuu, Strangerville, Werewolves, Vampires, Paranormal
Getting started: Aging can be set to whatever you prefer, including being turned off entirely. Gen 1 can be created alone, or with a spouse, sibling, parents, etc., and can be of any age. The listed aspiration does not have to be picked as the sim's first one; they just need to work on (and ideally complete) it at some point in their lives. This challenge is meant to be flexible and guide storytelling, not to be intentionally difficult, so feel free to make changes to the rules where you need to.
Currently play-testing. As I do, I may make some changes.

The more you’ve learned about the world, the better you understand just how vulnerable the planet of Earth really is. You’re devoted to protecting the human race from the wilds of space, to ensure peace and security. Some might not agree with your methods, but you know that the ends justify the means.
