Summer of Ashes, Autumn of Dust

Currently reading the first jujutsu kaisen light novel (for the first time) and taking notes in the margins. I'll share my findings here.

Frankly I'd recommend reading this before the manga, because knowing what I know from that makes it feel like I'm spontaneously combusting. This would have been so useful in my predictions lmao.

If spoilers come up explicitly, I would use a read more line or tag those posts with jjk manga spoilers so it's able to be filtered out. So far I've been able to be vague with it, and just naming the season we might see the connection to.

So far we have jjk0 (movie), season 1 and season 2. I'm assuming that season 3 will end with an earthquake, then we'll have another movie, and jjk will end on season 4. This way, I can cater to anime-only and manga fans by vaguely referencing the future (iykyk, if you don't, you're safe from spoilers).

If you've already read the book, then this blog will probably make more sense. Or drive you insane bc you know things I don't.

There is sooo much foreshadowing and insight into relationships etc that just shows gege rly had the ending planned since the beginning... And it's so sweet but there's so much and it would kill the reading enjoyment for all of us if I spell that out. Trying to keep this blog anime-only friendly, only posting things that we wouldn't learn from the anime and the manga.

as we enter the start of a semester and the dreaded Hour of Making Friends us upon us... if ur ever at a loss for what to say in one of those weird social situations where you only vaguely-know people, one of my favorite questions to ask is "what is your favorite food crime." a food crime is like the food combination that you love that other people find revolting. press them to take it further than pineapple on pizza, that's rote. food crimes is a good topic that has many benefits as it turns out all people are degenerates and also it will give you some cool ideas to try out later in the privacy of your own degenerate kitchen

the other good thing to ask is "okay but has anyone here ever been someplace haunted" bc it turns out if you ask most people directly they don't believe in ghosts, but many people are like "oh yeah i lived in a haunted house. ghosts aren't real tho"
