Experience the mouthwatering flavors of Sugarfire Smokehouse in the comfort of your own home with this delicious barbecue burger. Juicy beef patties, melted cheddar cheese, and a tangy barbecue mayo sauce combine to create a burger that's sure to satisfy your cravings.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup barbecue sauce. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup pickles. 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced. Lettuce leaves. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm up the grill over medium-high heat. Shape the ground beef into 4 burger patties that are all the same size. Add salt and pepper to each patty. Put the burger patties on the grill and cook them for four to five minutes on each side, or until they're done the way you like them. In the last minute of cooking, cover the grill and add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty. This will melt the cheese. Before you start cooking the burgers, toast the buns on the grill until they are just barely brown. Put the barbecue sauce and mayonnaise in a small bowl and mix them together to make a special sauce for your burgers. Spread the barbecue mayo sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun before putting the burgers together. Put a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, then a burger patty with cheddar cheese that has melted on top of that. Pickles and thinly sliced red onion should be put on top of the burger. To finish your Sugarfire Smokehouse Burger, put the top half of the toasted bun on top of the food. Enjoy! Put your tasty burger on a plate with your favorite sides.

Waiting...Waiting...Waiting...Now GO!
Waiting…Waiting…Waiting…Now GO!
The day started like any other Saturday, up too early to go to yoga, par for the course, but then…it stalled, but turned out alright, what more could you want?! We went to hot yoga, it was good, I think, to go back, I hadn’t been in almost two weeks due to busting my ankle, all good now, promise! It was my second class and just a twinge here and there and I modified what I was doing, I was…

Tried to make this post like two weeks ago but the internet wasn’t having it that day. Went to St. Louis for a wedding at the end of July, and that was...crazy. (My best friend isn’t exactly great with timing/planning. 😅) We had some great experiences, and some reallll bad ones. Most of the good ones involved food...because apparently I’m a foodie. I’m ok with this. Got to see John Mayer, which is probably my second favorite thing after food. This was my 12th show, my husbands 7th. There were confetti cannons, and lots of dancing. It was the best, as always! Then this week is our 4 year wedding anniversary, so we went down to see the friends who just got married. One month for them! I wish we could pluck Charleston from the coast and switch it with Columbia. I wouldn’t have to move, but all the cool shit would be here and not there. =P  Probably gonna make a big crafting shitpost here soon, since I’ve gotten a LOT of vinyl decals up in my store and am working on some fall crafts right now.

November 8-10, 2019
A one-way flight from Medellín to Chicago was $356.75 on Spirit Airlines. Chicago is an awesome city that I’ve chosen to move to, in part because of its close proximity to other fun cities. It was my first time visiting St. Louis and the 4-1/2 hour drive was even easier than I thought it was going to be.
Here are a list of some things I really like in the Gateway to the West:
The Gateway Arch! Previously, I never knew that you could go up it! It's pretty dang neat. Even if you don't want to go up, the park there is pretty neat with the opportunity to look up at the arch.
Within walking distance of the Arch park is Citygarden (small park with big sculptures) and Imo's pizza (which is St. Louis style pizza, which tastes a lot like frozen pizza...).
St Louis Public Library (Central) has some pretty architecture and small exhibits I liked looking at.
The City Museum is repurposed architectural and industrial objects that you can climb on and around, housed in the former International Shoe building. It’s hours of climbing and crawling while you stare at the wonder of these great objects with so much history.
Blueberry Hill has so much fun memorabilia. If there's music while you're there, and you're into small concerts solo, go check it out!
Depending on the weather, Forest Park is huge if you want to go for a long walk.
I didn't get to try them all, but Bogart's Smokehouse, Pappy's Smokehouse, Salt + Smoke, and Sugarfire Smoke House have very yummy meats.
Tivoli Theatre and the Fabulous Fox looked like fun, small theaters to watch movies in.

LIVE at Meatstock Toowoomba
Meatstock is not just a BBQ festival - it’s an experience. It’s a BBQ competition, an expo, a rock concert, a car show and much much more. And so it was that I was very excited when it was announced that Meatstock was coming to Queensland. And boy, was it a show. In partnership with Toowoomba Regional Council, Meatstock Toowoomba set the standard for a BBQ event this side of the border. Never one to rest on his heels, founder Jay Beaumont decided that he was going to reinvent his signature event. Meatstock Toowoomba had the signature round of the Australasian Barbecue Alliance BBQ competition, a BBQ expo, a championship rodeo round, live country music on stage from 2pm til late every day, a strongman and strongwoman competition, cooking demonstrations, children's activities and of course only the best food trucks and drinks wagons on the East Coast. There was also this year’s Australasian Barbecue Alliance Awards - an industry event recognising the best of the best from within the BBQ industry.

No meme like an old meme...
So Red decided to make her slow-cooked green beans for Christmas, which meant we needed to visit Honey Baked Ham (as if we ever needed a reason). Fortunately there was a store right by Sugarfire Smokehouse, which is where we'd gone for lunch.
"I can't sell you anything for a few more hours," the salesperson informed us. "Someone had just come in and purchased twelve hams, and we're out."
"Twelve hams?" Red repeated.
"That's as many as six twos," I pointed out.
"AND THAT'S TERRIBLE," we said in unison.

Extinguished // @sugarfiresmokehouse - I traveled a good part of this country for over a dozen years. One of the best parts was finding local eats. And, when you found the good ones, it was almost like coming home when you returned sometime later. When you visit Sugarfire Smokehouse in St Louis, go with the Big Muddy and bring your big boy pants. You'll need it. And a LOT of napkins. #eatlocal #THEDIRTYDISHES http://ift.tt/2iayij8 www.davepluimer.com
