Wing Update #9
Working on how the hinges are gonna work. Turns out i need to redesign them. so i did the theoretical work of how i’m gonna redesign them, now i just need the parts. Thus, here’s the list of things i need to get to make the hinges work as well as a couple other things to do with the harness.
•Fishing Line (better than metal for like six reasons)
•Leather IF fabric glue segment doesn’t pan out
•More belts
•Wood for the hinges
•Wood for the tugwheels
•Bearings
•Bearing Holders (bracket thingies)
•Pipe Brackets to attach PVC to Harness Plate
•Harness Subplates (metal?)
•Longer axel dowels for wood hinge
In the next couple days i’m gonna get a couple things done, primarily checking out this lumber store nearby that could be useful for getting the wood i need, and having my partner (who’s coming back from thanksgiving on sunday) help me trace some anatomy stuff onto the harness so i can stitch and cut it properly.
Soon i’ll be able to flap my wings. MY wings. Ones that are an actual part of me, not just some cheap costume ripoff. Sure they won’t be biological but they’ll be as close as i can get with the resources available to me.
Until next time

Flying West (No. 3)
Greenland is located between the Arctic Ocean and the North Atlantic Ocean, northeast of Canada and northwest of Iceland. The territory comprises the island of Greenland—the largest island in the world—and more than a hundred other smaller islands (see alphabetic list). Greenland has a 1.2-kilometer-long (0.75 mi) border with Canada on Hans Island. A sparse population is confined to small settlements along certain sectors of the coast. Greenland possesses the world's second-largest ice sheet.
Greenland sits atop the Greenland plate, a subplate of the North American plate. The Greenland craton is made up of some of the oldest rocks on the face of the earth. The Isua greenstone belt in southwestern Greenland contains the oldest known rocks on Earth, dated at 3.7–3.8 billion years old.
The vegetation is generally sparse, with the only patch of forested land being found in Nanortalik Municipality in the extreme south near Cape Farewell.
The climate is arctic to subarctic, with cool summers and cold winters. The terrain is mostly a flat but gradually sloping icecap that covers all land except for a narrow, mountainous, barren, rocky coast. The lowest elevation is sea level and the highest elevation is the summit of Gunnbjørn Fjeld, the highest point in the Arctic at 3,694 meters (12,119 ft). The northernmost point of the island of Greenland is Cape Morris Jesup, discovered by Admiral Robert Peary in 1900. Natural resources include zinc, lead, iron ore, coal, molybdenum, gold, platinum, uranium, hydropower and fish.

"Abortion is not violence? Nobody knows or feels any harm from a person having an abortion.
Fetuses, while technically human genetically, are functionally no closer to people than teratomas are until the very last months, at no point before that will it be able to percieve pain or suffering, or have feelings. The only person in the equation who DOES suffer at all is the mother.
Pregnancy is not always a choice the 'parent' gets to make, can't childbirth be?"
Many people suffer from abortion. The idea that the preborn don't feel pain until the last trimester is an outdated belief and more and more scientists are finding evidence of fetal pain earlier in pregnancy. Dr. Bridget Thill in this article says; Current neuroscientific evidence indicates the possibility of fetal pain perception during the first trimester (<14 weeks gestation). Evidence for this conclusion is based on the following findings: (1) the neural pathways for pain perception via the cortical subplate are present as early as 12 weeks gestation, and via the thalamus as early as 7–8 weeks gestation; (2) the cortex is not necessary for pain to be experienced; (3) consciousness is mediated by subcortical structures, such as the thalamus and brainstem, which begin to develop during the first trimester; (4) the neurochemicals in utero do not cause fetal unconsciousness; and (5) the use of fetal analgesia suppresses the hormonal, physiologic, and behavioral responses to pain, avoiding the potential for both short- and long-term sequelae.
Dr. Sheila Page in this interview says; The unborn child responds to sensory input as early as seven weeks (gestational age). All of the organ systems of the developing human demonstrate function simultaneously with the appearance of the anatomical structure. By 10 weeks, the human embryo has well-developed organ systems and most of the anatomy can be named with the same nomenclature that we use in adults.[1] The brain has been growing rapidly and will continue to develop as the baby grows, moves, and experiences the sensory input of the environment surrounding it. There is no point in development in which the structure exists without function.
With respect to the nervous system, the structures responsible for pain perception are the afferent and efferent nerves and the lower brain structures, including the reticular activating system and the thalamus. There is no pain perception center in the cortex—the pain fibers all terminate in the reticular activating system, and a very small percent will connect in the thalamus to neurons that travel to the cortex for the purpose of localizing the pain. At seven weeks, the thalamus is visible. Within a few days, the entire system of pain perception expands into a completely intact structure and continues to develop into a very sophisticated part of the nervous system.
The parents, grandparents, and siblings of these preborn children also feel pain from abortion. There are stories all over the internet from people who hurt from abortion in one way or another. Silent No More has hundreds of testimonies from all kinds of people, I recommend reading at least a few of them.
The preborn are genetically unique, living, whole human beings from the very moment of conception, the idea that they're not is unscientific. This study, by Dr. Dianne N. Irving goes into great detail of fetal development. "Functionality" means nothing. There are many born human beings who cannot function "normally", their lives are just as important as yours.
This article discusses fetal development week by week from fertilization (conception) to birth. In the first trimester, they are already stretching their limbs, opening and closing their hands, kicking, hiccuping, and moving their mouths. They are not just blobs of issue floating around in the womb. Every cell in their little bodies is working to grow and develop with purpose and direction. They may not function as we do, but they do function.
Every human being has a right to life, preborn and born, functional and nonfunctional, loved and unloved. To believe otherwise is oppressive and discriminatory

The unborn are human beings from the start of fertilization. Within the first trimester, it is believed that the unborn feel pain and are even conscious: “Current neuroscientific evidence indicates the possibility of fetal pain perception during the first trimester (<14 weeks gestation). Evidence for this conclusion is based on the following findings: (1) the neural pathways for pain perception via the cortical subplate are present as early as 12 weeks gestation, and via the thalamus as early as 7–8 weeks gestation; (2) the cortex is not necessary for pain to be experienced; (3) consciousness is mediated by subcortical structures, such as the thalamus and brainstem, which begin to develop during the first trimester; (4) the neurochemicals in utero do not cause fetal unconsciousness.” Whether the unborn are conscious or unconscious shouldn't matter because an evil act is still evil whether the human being it is being done onto is conscious or not. It is still wrong to harm someone while they are sleeping or in a coma. You are unconscious then, is it okay to hurt or kill you because you are unconscious?
Since you don't seem to know what a fetus truly is, below is a gif of a human being in the embryonic stage at 7 weeks:
"Anti-abortion madness"? I think pro-abortion is madness because so many people don't understand human fetal development and want to kill unborn human beings for just existing. Since Roe v. Wade, more than 63,459,781 million unborn children have been killed from abortion. Abortion is not a right. Killing innocent human beings is not a right.
Again, this has nothing to do with religion. Many Pro-life Athiests exist. Athiest pro-life groups include:
Secular Pro-life
Rehumanize International
Equal Rights Institute
Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAUU)
It sounds like you're getting into conspiracy theory territory. Give me some evidence to back up these claims you're making. Regardless, I don't really get into religious talk here. You'd have better luck with a religious pro-life blog.
Oh while we're at it what do you have to say to jewish and muslim women whose religions permit abortion? Of course you realize their constitutional freedom of religion will not be respected--only christians get that right in practice.
Abortion is not a religious issue. It's always been a human rights issue. Just because a religion permits it, doesn't mean it's okay. If the Christian religion said it's okay to kill an innocent human being for a ritual sacrifice, that wouldn't be okay and shouldn't be allowed. I'm sure you wouldn't be okay with allowing a religious group to murder people with the excuse of "it's part of my religious practice." The law should not turn a blind eye to an innocent human being being harmed or killed just because someone claims their religion allows it.
-Sarah
#prolife athiests#i also have no idea what you're talking about with these claims you're making#what#fetal consciousness

Ryan strides into the cargo bay to find panels of the Kodiak ripped off, a shower of sparks and buzzing power tools filling the space while a little drone hovers nearby blasting out peppy 21st century earth music.
He freezes in place taking in the scene as the Captain falls in beside him. Isaac clears his throat lightly. He knows what’s coming and braces himself.
“What in god’s green earth are you doing to my shuttle?” Ryan roars.
In a beat, the music stops and so does the buzzing and the sparks. Luca’s head pops out, hanging upside down from the top of the shuttle. Ryan doesn’t even want to know how he got up there or why he’s upside or why there is something orange and glowing in his hand, but he does want to know what the hell has happened to his shuttle.
“Um. Hi LT! Boom booms!” he crows, before disappearing again. The sparks start up again, so does the buzzing.
“Boom booms?!” Ryan splutters. “What the hell is that?”
“Breathe,” Isaac mutters through the corner of his mouth. Ryan suspects he’s trying not to laugh but he can’t focus on that when his shuttle looks like it’s been dismantled into a hundred million pieces in front of him. “That’s Luca speak for armaments.”
Ryan struggles vainly to calm himself, and he almost manages it until he sees Harris shuffle past struggling with something large and unwieldly in her arms as she makes a beeline to the shuttle. “What’s that?”
“Miniturized GARDIAN point-defense lasers,” Harris shrugs. She grins at the captain as she passes.
“Oh, sweet Jesus,” Ryan mutters. “You can’t put that on there. Luca!”
The curls pop out again. “What?”
“Luca, what about the subspace amplifiers? And the thrusters? The shuttle doesn’t have the power for that.”
Luca grins and points off to the side where Braun has his arm elbow deep into the Kodiak’s circuits. Oh, sweet Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
“It’s okay, we’ll adjust the dermatiraelian discriminator, no sweat!”
“And the nucleonic impeller? What about the Kinetic barriers?!”
“Pfft,” Luca scoffs. “The sub-evasive subplating will take care of it.”
Luca disappears once again and Ryan scrubs a hand over his face as Isaac pats his shoulder sympathetically.
“Save your strength my friend. This is one battle not worth fighting.”

You can’t just discredit prolifeproliberty’s source because it’s from a pro-life site and then use a link from a site that has an entire section on “abortion advocacy” and claim that as fact. The link you sent is under their abortion advocacy.
For further evidence on the existence of fetal pain in the first trimester:
“Fetal pain perception has important implications for fetal surgery, as well as for abortion. Current neuroscientific evidence indicates the possibility of fetal pain perception during the first trimester (<14 weeks gestation). As the medical evidence has shifted in acknowledging fetal pain perception prior to viability, there has been a gradual change in the fetal pain debate, from disputing the existence of fetal pain to debating the significance of fetal pain.”
They even say in the conclusion, “Denial of fetal pain capacity beginning in the first trimester, potentially as early as 8–12 weeks gestation, is no longer tenable.”
This was published on Dec 6, 2021. It even addresses the claims made by the ACOG and their sources they uses, which all predates this scientific article. This article has more recent information on fetal pain than the source you linked. The ACOG uses their scientific sources from 2005 and 2010. New science has come out since then on fetal pain. This article even addresses all of those old studies. The ACOG’s most recent sources are from their own briefs and consult series in 2021. I wouldn’t call their abortion advocacy briefs and series evidence for fetal pain only later in pregnancy.
Also the younger the unborn child, the more hypersensitive they are to pain. Babies born earlier are more sensitive to pain.
Doctors need to understand the laws surrounding their practice. Hospitals needs to help them be aware of the laws in their state. You don’t have to be a lawyer to understand what the abortion ban laws state.
Based on your definition of abortion, every birth must be an abortion then! When we talk about abortion, we mean elective abortion, where the baby is killed in utero. It does matter the state of the baby because doctors will give anesthesia to unborn babies as a standard practice when they operate on them. Yes, you can do surgery on the unborn in the womb.
Anencephaly, major heart defects, major lung defects, trisomy 13, holoprosencephaly, hydranencephaly, renal agenesis, thanatophoric dysplasia, and triploidy. These aren't "disabilities" ; they are death sentences. You are for forcing women who find out a heart breaking truth to know for months they won't be able to have a baby. You are for forcing an infant into the world only to know torture and agony and pain.
You are a monster, full stop. This is not freedom, this is torture.
Allowing a mother to spend every moment she can with her dying child and also giving her the comfort that she did everything she could rather than the guilt of knowing she had her child killed - that’s what you think is torture?
No family should go through this alone, and there are great resources for perinatal hospice that should be made available to parents.
Also, the number of times doctors have been wrong about a diagnosis or survival chance…
Not to mention new options for correcting issues by performing surgery on a baby in utero to save lives:
Heart surgery for Trisomy 13 and 18, surgery for spina bifida, Renal Anhydramnios Fetal Therapy for renal agenesis, placenta-derived stem cell therapy for spinal bifida, just to name a few
My husband’s parents were told he wouldn’t survive. They were told to abort, and they refused. They planned to say goodbye to him in the hospital after he was born. All the family came. He was born, baptized by his grandpa, and rushed to surgery.
As you probably figured out, he survived (since he is now my husband). He has no lingering effects of the condition that doctors said would kill him, except that he only has one kidney (and doctors now say he has normal kidney function because his single kidney grew to compensate).
Doctors aren’t omniscient. Conditions that were death sentences 20 years ago are now treatable. New surgeries and procedures are constantly being developed.
We’re not going to sentence babies to death because a doctor says they’re going to die. Sorry not sorry.
