Meglio lei che le solite fanciulle noiose che aspettano il principino che a salvarle. Forse è per quello che tutti ne parlano, ma non dovrebbe essere una novità nel 2023. Donne così ce ne sono

Tecnicamente pare che soffra di DSPT o in inglese PTSD (Disturbo da Stress Post Traumatico) che è spesso correlato anche ad altri disturbi quali la depressione.

Da bambino lessi il fumetto della Famiglia Addams, poi ci furono i film con Mercoledì Addams interpretata dalla magistrale Christina Ricci e mi venne una cotta per lei perché era riuscita a interpretare il personaggio in maniera credibile.

La Mercoledì del 2022 non mi ha lasciato nulla invece, anzi, ha creato solo un manipolo di rincoglionite che pensa che la depressione sia una cosa figa e non una malattia da trattare con i guanti di velluto e curare.

By • Olalekan Fagbade LASU debunks reports on delay in HND conversion to Bachelor's Degree Lagos State University (LASU) has debunked a report alleging that it has yet to graduate students converting from Higher National Diploma (HND) to Bachelor’s Degree since 2020 in spite of huge sums they paid. Mrs Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile, Coordinator, Centre for Information and Public Relations, LASU, said that the report was published by an online platform and entitled: “Despite paying more than half a million Naira, LASU HND conversion students have not graduated since 2020”. In a statement she issued on Sunday in Lagos, Thomas-Onashile said that the report was fraught with lies and half-truth. The coordinator said that the report appeared like a calculated attempt to smear the image of the university. “As a responsible institution, we consider it necessary, therefore, to provide the true position so that falsehood may not prevail over truth. “The HND/B.Sc conversion programme, which is a programme designed for two academic sessions, commenced at the university in 2020. “Therefore, it could not have been possible for the university to graduate the newly-admitted students in the same year of entry – 2020, as reflected in the headline. “Students who have met the graduation requirements have all been presented and cleared by the university senate for graduation, an assertion that can be confirmed in the 26th convocation brochure of the university. “A total of 48 duly-registered students graduated at the 26th convocation of the university, 12 students’ results are awaiting approval of the senate while others have pending issues,” she said. Thomas-Onashile added that the university like other academic institutions, had a time frame for opening and closing of its portal (be it for payment, registration, examination or other academic purposes). “Any student who does not utilise this time frame as expected will automatically be shut out. “This might have accounted for some of them not being able to register. “However, students who registered within the given time frame and sat for their examinations are able to access their results on the portal once it is released by the directorate of ICT,” she said. She added that some of the students did not go through the right channel for registration of courses. “They might have engaged the services of surrogates to do the registration on their behalf which is always to their disadvantage. “Some of the students who did not comply with the rules and regulations guiding the process wanted the university to waive courses that they did not pass. “Those concerned are requested to take all their failed courses as carry-over, but, they are not willing,” she said. Thomas-Onashile said that the university would continue to work in line with the best global practices. “Students with pending issues are, therefore, requested to visit the Director, Directorate of School of Part Time Studies (DSPTS) for legitimate guides towards resolving their issues,”she said. Seven Key Success Measures

1. Well Led: The foundation of any successful transformation lies in strong leadership. ICSs and organizations are expected to have clear strategies for digital transformation. Leaders across the spectrum must collectively own and drive the digital transformation journey, ensuring that citizens and frontline perspectives remain central. This entails building digital and data expertise into leadership and governance structures, aligning with ICS strategies, and fostering a culture of innovation.

2. Ensure Smart Foundations: The reliability and sustainability of digital infrastructure are paramount. ICSs are encouraged to invest in multidisciplinary teams with expertise spanning clinical, operational, informatics, design, and technical domains. Compliance with sustainability objectives like net zero carbon and technology standards, coupled with robust cyber security measures and secure data management practices, are key to laying a strong foundation.

3. Safe Practice: Maintaining high standards of safe care in the digital realm is a non-negotiable. Organisations within ICSs should establish robust cyber security plans inline with DSPT, DTAC, and Cyber Essentials, including risk management and mitigation strategies. Adequate resourcing of cyber security and clinical safety functions, along with adherence to relevant frameworks, is vital to ensure patient safety and data integrity.

4. Support People: Empowering the workforce with digital literacy is integral to realising the full potential of digital health technology. ICSs must promote a digital-first approach and provide continuous professional development opportunities. Intuitive, user-friendly systems, flexible working arrangements, and 24/7 digital support services contribute to a motivated and efficient workforce.

5. Empower Citizens: Citizen-centricity is the cornerstone of modern healthcare. ICSs should co-design strategies for citizen engagement and digital services, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. The use of national digital tools (like the NHS.uk, NHS App, NHS Login), coupled with effective communication channels, enables citizens to actively participate in their healthcare journey.

6. Improve Care: Digital technology has the power to reshape care pathways, reduce variation, and enhance patient outcomes. ICSs should leverage data and digital solutions to redesign care, promote safety, and facilitate remote consultations and monitoring. Collaborative care planning and integration of digital tools drive multidisciplinary and patient-centered care.

7. Healthy Populations: Leveraging data insights can lead to better population health management. ICSs are encouraged to harness data to inform care planning and decision-making, develop innovative care models, and drive digital and data-driven population health initiatives. Collaborations with academia, industry, and partners foster continuous innovation.

What does this mean for digital health innovators?

Digital health innovators need to fully align with the principles of the WGLL framework. From developing secure and reliable digital infrastructure to creating intuitive user interfaces and facilitating data-driven insights, digital health innovators need to be equipped to support every aspect of the WGLL journey.

The "What Good Looks Like" framework sets a clear direction for the future of healthcare in Integrated Care Systems, and provides NHS organisations with a clear path to procuring and managing digital health innovation across healthcare organisations through prioritising interoperable, patient-centred, and safe health and care.
