OK AFTER 100 YEARS OF REINSTALLING THE GAME I HAVE MORE RESEARCH ON SHINRA SCIENCE DEPARTMENT'S SPECIMEN LIVING QUARTERS

first is Ifalna+Aerith's room. I picked the screenshots with the other party members to show that it's a decent sized room. None of them are standing on top of each other, even barret has plenty of room.

it even has a litle space for the toilet and bath [the bath being behind the curtain.] is it the height of luxury?? absolutely not. but it might as well be a deluxe suite when we see what else is around it.

we've got some rooms with treasure chests. cloud to show how tiny these rooms are, especially compared to ifalna+aerith's.

there's too more rooms in the same hallway, each having a bed and a desk. you can see theyre also pretty damn small. the bed rooms and the chest rooms dont have any little nooks or alcove like a toilet room. on the minimap they break down like this:

of course its a bit hard to tell because of the chibi art style but well. it definitely looks like sephiroth's room is one of the smaller ones. there's what seems to be a desk in the bottom right corner. and from this angle, nothing else. maybe you could argue there's a bed right out of frame, but this framing is likely very deliberate. it shows that sephiroth cant even dream of having things like a bed, or a bigger, more comfortable room. literally all he wants is his mother. someone to cook for him and love him and care about him. he doesnt even have his own private bathroom, and he's so thoroughly conditioned/beaten down by shinra he doesnt even think of wanting one.
