#Stolas is not having a good time

So I had a dream about a helluva boss and danny phantom crossover with a little dc in it so keep scrolling if you just want dpxdc or don't like spectral owl (danny Fenton x Octavia goetia). Also for some context only Loona and Octavia know about danny being phantom and the ghost king. Its also incomplete cause I can't remember the rest, so feel free to add on.

Stolas (the wiki said 30's so he's 35): red

Stolas had be trying for MONTHS. Two whole-MONTHS to bring his daughter back. Everyone else was trying to distract him with placateions like a funeral and time to grieve. To tare him away from what he knows he saw!!

Stolace: "Oh Octavia, only 18 and just over a year into dating that Daniel Fenton, that normal boy was one of the best things to happen to her even if it earth and hell was a rather long distance relationship. He couldn't even speak at the funeral, he was just sitting there stiff as a corps staring as the closed casket (Satan, there wasn't even a body). If that dammed, and now dead executioner hadn't gotten so careless she would have never disappeared- JUST DISAPPEARED in that flash of green light!"

But no matter! He had been researching and researching for days and nights on end (my, Blitzo's attempts to make him sleep were tempting). He had-despite the protests of some of his family found a tome, one book on summoning himself the Ghost King's castle, more like Pariah dark's current location but thats irrelevant. If legends of his exploits and one of his advisors mastery of chronomancy are to be believed he could bring his daughter back.

He has it all set up and he will be doing soon, he just needs to wait for the sacrifice to arrive (an exorbitant amount of gold coins and a sword thats taken at least 100 lives).

Danny has been having a great two months.

Ok so there was a bit of worry when he had to save his girlfriend from that rogue executioner angel by teleporting her to his castle (thank the ancients that Octavia and their friend situationship loona were so acceptingof that, you have no idea what being told by your parents that they were going to "Rip you apart molecule by molecule!" Does to a former fourteen year old. He still has a little panic attack when people ask him if he knows phantom.)

After explaining what happened and telling her about the "Non Ecto-material returnal laws" he's been working on with his advisors (ghost friends) he and Octavia have essentially been having an extended sleep over. Danny's been showing her around all the cool places in his castel like the garden of dangerous extinct plants, the throne room (An abrupt visit from the teen titans cause Trigon was about to appear on earth.), and the recreational center that was built after Danny discovered why pariah went mad.(That crown had been beaming him with the suffering screams of his subjects and he couldn't do anything about it). Speaking of the rec-center, he and his Moon (Octavia) had an appointment with the former tyrant where is she?

Danny: "Octavia! My moon where are you!"(He starts in a casual flight speed down the halls towards the guest room his girlfriendhad been staying in). "Via~" he says in the way he always does when he's being intentionally stupid. "Where are you my darling?" while his voice is sweet he's grinning like the experienced menace to society he is. "Its almost time to go annoy the old man!"

This earns him a blob ghost plushy to the face while Octavia "the smartest person in the world in Danny's opinion" chuckles at his mock-suffering.

Octavia: "Stop it you sound like my dad! Who would want to date such an nerdy guy?" (her, apparently) "And yes we should get going before Janice (Danny's secretary with an obsession with office management) starts eating her clipboard."

As they are walking down the hallways and corridors Octavia speaks "Don't you have that meeting with Constantine later?"

"Right, forgot about that." (The laughing magician had been checking up on him through bi-weekly attempts to "scam him into making choices that wouldn'tjust benefit ghosts.") "Should probably ask him to help set up a meeting between me and your dad so we can finally get you home next week."

"Thank Satan I can sit in my own bed again soon!"

"Huh?!" Danny says in a pretend offense that doesn't reach even his face. "Sick of me already? Have I not been a good host?" He wipes a phantom tear (get it?) from his eye. Earning a laugh from the other.

Honestly, what could go wrong today.

I've figured it out, why I'm always a bit thrown about people defending Blitz this episode. Like don't get me wrong Stolas has not been perfect and has to grapple with his classism/etc. But like, in my head, I've always gone, 'but that isn't the point of this episode/fight/current conflict' but didn't really have the words to explain. But now I do.

Because, the whole point of apology tour (and everything that built to it) is that even if Stolas was a perfect boyfriend, even if they didn't have the complicated power dynamic and Stolas being really demeaning, etc, none of it matters because it would always have ended the same. Blitz would always set fire to the relationship the moment he confessed his love, it's what he did with Verosika after all. It's what he's implied to have done with more than half the people at the party.

Stolas could have been perfect, and nothing truly would have changed. Blitz right now is incapable of letting someone love him without lashing out. The whole prince thing is just a convenient excuse to yell and scream about, it's not actually the point. Like don't get me wrong, there's truth to it, but Blitz is weaponizing it to shove Stolas away. If he didn't have that, he would find something else to use against him.

I love Blitz, but he's a terrible person. His trauma only explains his actions but doesn't justify them. Apology Tour is the episode that finally shoved in his face his fuck-ups in all their glory, and gave him the wake-up call to finally do something about them.

Headcanon that most demon royalty goes to some fancy private/finishing school. But that Stolas was homeschooled with a private tutor. It was one of the very very few requests his dad granted him and for years it was a tressure memory, one of the few times he /got to choose/ one of the few times his dad /listened/ to him. Only to realize when he enters society that it was another isolation tactic. That everybody had already spent years forming social alliances and building their reputations and social credit. And that there was no room for him to break into those circles, that he /did not know/ the proper unspoken social rules. That his wife has spent years building her clout and that he is once again. Alone.

Guys, you don't understand, I can't WAIT till the next Helluva Boss episode, I want more Stolas angst. Ok, so the next (and last episode of the season) is gonna be called Sinsmas, which obviously means it's gonna be Christmas themed. What we know is that Sallie Mae is gonna be in that episode and that she'll sing. SO! My theory is that Millie's parents are gonna invite the crew to their house to celebrate Sinsmas, and Blitzø is gonna drag Stolas with them to help him forget the fact that his life is basically ruined. I feel like he'll be like the Grinch, saying that it's pointless and all of that depressing shit, and seeing Millie's family being all happy and Blitzø and Loona being all father and daughter will probably make him feel worse because he won't be able to spend the holidays with his own daughter.

last year i was bored and decided to make some moxxie and millie fan kids ! they were just supposed to be silly haha fun characters but then i started writing a whole story and adding a bunch of side characters and it got out of hand… but i wont go into it rn bc it definitely needs to be reworked and more completed before i can talk about it haha

but i can tell yall a little about them below the cut if you wanna read it! i will def be drawing more of them soon i love them sm. i will also try to design older versions of the canon main characters too as well as posting about more ocs from the twin’s story

maverick

- maverick aka mav, is the son of moxxie and millie and the twin brother of melody. he is sixteen years old. he lives in the pride ring with his family.

- mav presents himself as a troubled brooding teen, going through a phase where he feels disconnected from his family and is struggling to figure out where he belongs in society and what he wants from his life

- on the outside, mav is a snarky and overly confident teenage boy who likes fighting and playing the guitar. he hesitates to let people in and often defends his feelings with a sharp and often cruel sense of humor, although a lot of the time he doesn’t mean the words that he says

- despite his stereotyoical demeanor, maverick is actually incredibly sharp minded and curious, constantly questioning the world around him and why things are the way that they are. he overthinks things a lot and ends up feeling incredibly troubled. however, because of his cynical outlook on life he believes no one can help him, and doesn’t bother asking the people he loves for help

- maverick has always been skilled in weaponry and combat, something that’s in his genes but was only taught to him for a few years as a child, however his parents attempted to steer his attention away from this interest, as their overprotective nature took over, not wanting their son to feel like he has to become a killer too

- maverick feels as though there’s nothing that makes him special and often feels overlooked when compared to his extremely talented and more extroverted sister. he is pretty athletic but doesn’t have the same ferocity as his mother or sharpshooting techniques of his father. he was taught to play guitar and enjoys making music but definitely is no where near as passionate or talented as his sister

melody

- melody is the daughter of moxxie and millie and the twin sister of maverick. she is sixteen years old. she lives in the pride ring with her family.

- melody takes on a lot of traits from her father. she has a huge interest in musical theater, and wishes to become a famous actress and singer one day

- due to this aspect of her personality, she is rather extroverted and peppy, very talkative and slightly hyperactive like her mother. she has a desperate need for attention and validation, which can make her come across as a bit annoying or intense to those who aren’t used to her

- despite her parent’s jobs as assassins, melody tries to avoid violence at all costs. she finds it disturbing and has no interest in fighting or killing. however, she has violent instincts in her, and when people she loves are threatened she can become suprisingly outraged and violent despite hating her outbursts

- melody has a very feminine dress style and takes great care in her appearance. she thinks of her life as one grand performance and panics if she’s not seen at her idea of “perfect”. this wasn’t something that bothered her as a kid, but as she gets older she’s becoming increasingly aware of her position in society, as a female imp, and just how hard she’ll have to work to make herself “perfect” in order to find even an ounce of success

I'll never not find it funny that Jellystone's Doggie Daddy of all characters is a better father and person in general than Stolas.

Stolitz would be so much better and a lot more flavorful if Stolas really was a bratty prince who had lived a long life and was looking for something fun and new just for the sake of it only to accidentally fall in love with his "toy." I loved him a whole lot more when I thought he was a sassy and messy ancient being looking for a good time and I was even able to still like him (albeit a lot less) after that was changed.

But these days it feels like I am being forced to feel bad for Stolas. Every episode he's in, it's another sad thing with him I have to learn. Like

If Stolas really was a big, strong, ancient being who really was trying to figure out how to build a relationship out of something he created only for fun and sex and how to apologize for seeing Blitz as a "plaything" and making him feel like a toy- if ANYTHING was just HIS FAULT -I would be there so much.

But he's not that, unfortunately.

He is unfortunately just a really sad guy in his late-thirties going through a midlife crisis and a messy breakup.

random thought: if its called apology tour then presumably verosika is on tour and tour lengths can vary but can be a few months. so what if apology tour takes place at the start of her touring and ghostfuckers takes place near the end of the tour and that's where that shot of stolas performing comes from

(because yeah the pumpkins and pinetrees and the fact they're not in human disguises makes me that think 1. this is halloween and 2. theyre in the human world and people think they're in costumes)

i am completely speculating and wanna say that's the ep with blitz getting possessed and seeing tilla is definitely going to leave him wrung out emotionally, so what if in the aftermath of that eps events he ends up stumbling across this concert and seeing stolas and yeah something something don't wanna be this way anymore wanna fix the relationship/is willing to be brave and let himself be genuinely loved

Rewatching the duet for the 80th time, you know, as one does, and I noticed this.

First shot looks like the outfit he's wearing in the later scenes with Stolas. Second looks like he's added his coat. Final shot the bowtie is gone and he's in his normal outfit.

This is during the portion of the song where he's getting ready. Has he always had a bowtie on under the coat? Because we see he has it on in shots 1 & 2, whereas in 3 he looks back to normal.
