Who's been telling people that yellow diamond and blue diamond are canon siblings?

I've always seen them as ambiguous enough in their affection that you could ship them or headcanon them as siblings with no beef, But lately I keep having interactions on yt comments asking me, "Aren't they siblings?"

Kinda angsty SU headcannon/scenario

so, this takes place in the late 80s human time, when Rose and Greg started seeing each other, we know from flashbacks that Pearl was miserable from seeing them together, but Greg misinterprets this totally innocently, and suggests a double date with him and Rose, and Pearl with a music college that he didn’t know very well. So Pearl reluctantly agrees because Rose seems really exited about the idea, so they all go. Anyways, the guy is an absolute douche, and the whole night is obviously horrible for Pearl, and it’s always been a wall between her and Greg.

I can't believe I'm just now getting to this- Sorry, anon, I know you sent this is like over a year ago-

You were childhood friends, so great for you- You have a trauma bond with him and Connie

He tells you stuff he would never tell Connie, because he doesn't think Connie would understand

He feels like he can talk to you without judgement

When he develops romantic feelings, he doesn't think they're different than his friendship feeling

But god, he loves when you smile and laugh

It warms something so sweet in him

When he does realize he likes you more than a friend and accepts the feelings, he's to scared to tell you

His fear of rejection overcomes his love for you

When his trauma really starts to get to him, he finds it hard to be around you

He shuts you out, because he doesn't want you to see him like that

"I feel like you're shutting me out," You exaggerate your hands, before point at him and then yourself, "And I don't even know why"

"It's nothing personal, Y/n"

It breaks your heart and you don't know how to get through to him

You'll try and talk to Connie [Bad idea] and she tells you you just need to give him time. [Yeah, you didn't want to do that, so you ignored her advice, even though technically that would have been the best thing to do]

You think about going to Pearl, but you know she'll probably say the same thing as Connie- So, you go to Garnet, because she can see the future

Expect, Garnet tells you that the best thing to do is let him come to you and you groan, which causes Garnet to laugh

"Not the answer you wanted?"

"Of course not. Thank you though, Garnet."

Garnet knows you're not going to take her advice, but maybe Steven needs someone to care enough about him to pull him back into reality

You try talking to Steven's dad, but that doesn't go well either. Steven's father is so out of touch with his son. You should of known better- Even though Mr. Universe is a good dad in his love, he's never there. You supposed it was complicated.

So, you go to the last choice- The one you were trying to avoid

She's more than happy to help you. She doesn't give you words of comfort or anything, she's all about movement and action

You start to think you should of gone to her first, but this was a bad idea

You end up making Steven so angry, he yells at you

You're a little taken a back, but you finally back off

You give it a few days and he comes to you to apologize

"I'm sorry, Y/n. I shouldn't have yelled at you," He runs his hand through his hair, "It's just... Ugh, I don't know..." He looks over at you, a frown overtaking his face, "Difficult. I didn't mean it"

"I know. I shouldn't have tried to push you. I should have known better."

Thankfully you make up, but he still doesn't let you into what's going on

"You know, Steven, you can tell me anything"

"I know"

Steven quartz universe is autistic and here's why

I present to you a full course meal of autism evidence for all you autistic goobers who see yourself in steven (like me)

He has the need for sameness/safe foods

Literally in episode one (gem glow) the whole beginning of the episode shows steven super upset over his favorite ice cream (safe food) being discontinued (meaning it had to be super unpopular.) An allistic child wouldn't be as upset because there are hundreds of other brands of ice cream sandwiches out there, but steven liked this SPECIFIC brand. He even memorized the commercial for it. (also he likes to eat the ears first which is SO real)

also, throughout the entire series he orders the same exact thing from the fry shop, the bits, which i've noticed a lot of autistic people find it easier or just prefer to have food in smaller pieces. he orders it so much that everyone that works there knows exactly what he's gonna order every time he comes

Not having friends his age

Most of steven's friends are either literal aliens, or adults/people way older than him, and the only friends his age that he has is connie (who I think is autistic too don't even get me STARTED) and peedee (who is also probably neurodivergent.)

I can heavily relate to this, as a child I only really hung around adults and one or two other neurodivergent kids. It's much easier to hang out with people older then you when your autistic because there isn't really the same social rules compared to the kids your age, and the older people don't really mind how you act since your younger then them

Also I kinda see how the reason onion and his friends like steven is because he's autistic. If I go by my headcannon that onion and his gang are all non speaking autistic kids, then it makes sense they connect with steven. My autistic little cousin loves playing with me because I understand her, and I think it's the same way with steven and onion, he understands onion and plays with him in a way that makes him feel understood

He doesn't understand social ques

There are SO many moments where steven doesn't understand social ques, at least one moment every 2 episodes. One example is in onion gang when onion and his friends were pretending one of them died with LITERAL KETCHUP and steven didn't understand that was a joke (silly guy)

I also see this a lot when he's with lars and sadie, he doesn't really understand which moments he should include himself in like in island adventure when he was constantly coming in between lars in sadie when they had their moments

Theres so much more but im not gonna list more since this happens like every episode

He wears the same clothes everyday

steven has been rocking the same fit for YEARS. I know it makes sense because he wears his dad's merch, but it's not like if he asked for more of a variety of clothes, the gems or his dad would have said no. Also the band shirts doesn't excuse the fact he wears the same jeans and flip flops every day. Autistic people love consistently especially when it comes to clothes

Even in future he doesn't really change up his daily attire, except for the jacket. He still sticks with the t shirt, jeans, and flip flops combo and honestly he's so real for that

Special interests/hypertixations

Steven definitely has hypertixations/ special interests. I can definitely see his main one being crying breakfast friends, he literally started a whole youtube channel to record his reaction to new episodes, and has very emotional reactions to them (same)

He also definitely infodumps about it a lot, Mostly in the form of trying to get people interested in it, like when he was trying to get the gems to take a personality quiz to see what crying breakfast friends character they are and when he used crying breakfast friend stickers to mark the warp pads inactive

And finally, just look at him and tell me you don't see the autism radiating through this creature

IT HAS BEEN REQUESTED I YAP THE DETAILS AB BIGRAFTS DESING FOR THE AU SO GATHER ROUND

(MAJOR SPOILERS FOR FUTURE WRITING AND POSSIBLY MORE ANIMATION AFTER WHAT'S IN THE WORKS NOW)

Okay so! For a bit of context I headcannon that all the Biografts have a sorta shared network/server they all share data from n stuff (like a kinda hivemind kinda not)! THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR LATER

At the end of the animation, biografts lighting will turn to match the color of medkits crystal! I plan to make this individual Biograft leave Blackrock and fully cut himself of from that network (along with doing a couple other things). Because before Medkit and Biograft get a chance to leave together, Subspace intercepts them and is like, "wonderful job my creation!!" Pretty much reveals he was letting Biograft's sentience develop to get to Medkit, and tells Biograft to come back (think of the scene from Steven Universe where White Diamond is like, "As for this latest little game of yours, thank the stars its over. Did you have fun, did you get all out of your system? Good, good, everyone is so relived, welcome home Pink.")

But Biograft doesn't return to Subspace which upsets him, so he goes temporarily shut him down, so as a last resort he fully disconnects from the network and deletes the kill switches and backdoor n stuff within himself (if he tried to do so while connected to the network it'd take to long to do bc he'd have to go through a bunch of extra code and it'd take way longer to save such a big change). Insert some cool fighting I have to figure out how to write and draw, and the two escape successfully. This specific biograft joins the lost temple, I'm still debating on if he would be allowed in the cult or not, I think Scythe would have mixed feelings but overall be leaning against it, and I think Broker would be chillin.

It's about now that Biograft upsycles his weapons and adjusts his horns, not wanting to be mistaken for his non-sentient counterparts, and also kinda out of defiance towards Subspace. His staff/polearm is literally his sword but put together, lol.

Anyway, not related to the design, but I feel like it'd be funny to have Scythe help him learn his new weapon (or he just analyzes how she uses her scythe and copies some things and she notices). I also this it'd be funny that when he actually gets a chance to sit down and actually process everything that's taken place, it ends up being Scythe he does this with. Cus like at this point he's putting the pieces together, but Scythe just full on slaps in the face with the truth he's been hesitant towards acknowledging and is just like, "you went through all of this because you care about him," and they have some silly back and forth, and that conversation leads Scythe to let Biograft stick around.

Steven universe Spinel headcannon with a human reader?

Pairing: Romantic/Platonic

Spinel is very... unstable.

Her yandere behavior would reflect that.

She's better during Steven Universe: Future, but before that she was certainly more unhinged.

My yandere Spinel would be a combination of the two.

Spinel is goofy and fun-loving for the most part.

She wants to be super close with her darling and be your best friend essentially.

She can get suffocating and clingy in an attempt to make you happy.

Spinel feels if she keeps you happy then you'll love her and never leave her.

This gem hates being left behind and would do anything to prevent it.

Spinel is Obsessive, Clingy, Affectionate, Clever, Prone to outbursts, and very Trusting towards her darling.

Spinel wasn't expecting to be so attached to a human darling.

The closest she got was Steven, but that was due to the whole being Pink thing.

Spinel appears to be extremely obsessive over you when she meets you.

When she loves a darling she is rarely seen away from you.

She follows you everywhere, the gem wanting to know more about you.

There's a huge gap between gem and human culture.

It'll take some getting used to for both her and you.

Humans are a bit strange in terms of behavior but she really wants to understand you.

It'll take time for you because... well... Spinel's an alien rock person that has the ability to act as a living cartoon.

Her movements still scare you a bit.

Spinel knows that learning to be friends with you after Pink will be a bit of a struggle for her.

Let alone understanding this whole love thing if she decides to see you that way.

Spinel is clingy to you, a human, due to her past.

You just being kind to her is already enough to get her hooked.

She wants to do everything with you.

Spinel is incredibly affectionate towards you even if you want to be left alone.

She gives tight hugs that coil around you like a snake...

She kisses your cheek sometimes as what you can only assume is a greeting?

She even compliments you, bouncing up and down around you with excitement you can't ever match.

Spinel also trusts you not to harm her or her feelings.

You'll be different than Pink, she doesn't think you'll abandon her.

In terms of murder or abduction, Spinel may do such a thing.

Despite her attempts at healing she's still a bit unhinged.

She's prone to outbursts and could harm her darling or those around you.

She usually doesn't mean to harm you, forgetting humans are vulnerable.

If she hurt you fatally, you don't come back...

So Spinel ends up apologizing a ton if she does hurt you.

She has tears in her eyes and everything... she's sorry she made you bleed or cracked a bone!

She wants to fix it.

When it comes to others... her outbursts are probably out of jealousy.

She doesn't usually feel bad if she hurts a human or gem who she's jealous of.

Unless you find out and are upset about it...

Only then does she feel guilty about it.

If Spinel kidnapped you it's because she doesn't want to go to Homeworld without you.

You're a human... you belong on Earth.

But it's either she stays here or you come with her.

She refuses to part from you.

She emphasizes this by wrapping around you tightly, face pressed into your neck.

You aren't sure if you want to go but what choice do you have?

Dragging you to Homeworld... she cares for you while she lives with the Diamonds.

She even asks Steven to provide you with all the human needs.

Spinel believes she can find a new family in you and the Diamonds...

She just doesn't realize her attempts at making you both happy harm you in the end.

i know im not a steven universe blog but youtube knows i used to be a mentally ill middle schooler so i got recommended a bunch of SU songs and now i've binged the show again + movie + future and idk here r some of my SU opinions/hc bc fuck it why not.

opinions/thoughts

i totally think the Diamonds were redeemed way too quickly, and rewatching season 5 made me realize how god awful the pacing of that season was. they really needed a season 6 or like, split 5 in half idfk

obviously theres a difference between redemption and forgiveness, but I really wish that SU:F focused on that more bc it would've been a great internal conflict for steven but we only get like an 11 minute episode based on it (and yeah u could say that steven having mommy issues in Future is basically that but imo mommy issues r different than diamond issues)

pearl has the patience of a saint bc if my magical girl literal goddess of a gf/situationship left me for the 90's equivalent of a soundcloud rapper id never stop raging (yes this is partially a copypasta of that one tweet but they hit the nail on the head fr)

rewatching the series i love pearl so much i really see my younger self in her, especially w/ how autistic coded she is in regards to her feelings/emotions

i love seeing the different classic manga/anime artist styles reflected in each of the diamonds, like pinks design is so sailor moon vibes

i like to think after SU:F and he's had time to heal, steven tries to connect with the diamonds and not run from/suppress that part of his family, like he's not gonna be 100% w/ them but he tries to at least accept it

steven also connects with greg's side of the family! idk I like to imagine he spends a lot of holidays with them to catch up on all the ones he missed

steven spends his summers in beach city and every other part of the year he dedicates to travel (idk he never seemed the type to settle down anywhere for long, and i fw the wandering nomad type)

steven grows his hair out as he gets older, like young-greg length (long haired men > literally any other hairstyle), despite the length it stays curly

once steven begins to accept/cope w/ being part diamond, he lets his hair go pink (either by dyeing it or magic, take ur pick) with the mentality of "im reclaiming this color from my mommy issues, also i look cool af" (this hc is mainly based off of how I like steven's pink hair in Future. style was first, lore was second lol)

post-Future steven is 1000% more willing to throw hands and lose his shit but in like a coping way bc he knows if he keeps it pent up it'll be 10x worse

One of my favorite Steven Universe headcannons is that Sapphires don't predict The Future, just the most likely future with how people behave and some odds predicting gem magic. So, when Ruby fuses with Sapphire, instead of Sapphire's future vision but worse (all futures instead of The Future) it's like Sapphire's but better (all futures instead of the most likely one)

In regards to Hazel/George (me and @detectivesocietyfan are currently championing georzel as a ship name) I think everything was relatively the same up till Death In The Spotlight. Detective society would still meet Alex on the train, and Hazel still writes the letters, and still has a crush on him and Daisy still gets jealous during JFP. I think George begins his crush on her during MAM but Death In The Spotlight is where I think Hazel begins to reciprocate.

As for Death Sets Sail, I'll have to be perfectly honest it's my least favourite and thus my least read 😅 I think I can remember enough but please excuse anything that's wrong!

Obviously George wouldn't say he wanted to marry Lavinia (and also to me that seemed TOTALLY ooc for him anyway but I digress). I don't know how much I'd change tbh as what Hazel needed more than anything atp in the book is friends so I'd imagine she'd be being very close to both Alex and George. That moment when George says to Hazel "see here, has he not said anything? I thought Alex would" canonically in DSS I would swap around and have Alex say to Hazel about George, although in Alex's case it was nervousness, I'd have it inferred that George was trying to be mindful and respectful of Hazel's grief instead.

I think during that moment where he calls her Madame President I'd have him take her hand and cup Hazel's face and it would be a more poignant moment. I don't know if I would have them kiss and actually get together as a couple as like I said what Hazel needed then is friends more than anything. But on the other hand it would be fucking hilarious for Daisy to come back and find out Hazel and George were dating. I'd imagine there'd lots of jokes about the people Daisy loves both in the world are both dating Mukherjees.

As for Spain, we don't really know much about it at all so I'm not sure how much to comment on it except to say it seemed ooc for Alex to not have known about George going or not told Hazel (as inferred in The Case Of The Second Scream). In my version of canon, Lavinia runs away to the Spanish Civil War, yes partly because of political beliefs, but also because she was trying to run away from a girl she was in love with. She never gets together with George and I'm unsure if that was a factor in him going with her or not, and so if he was together with Hazel I truly don't know how it would play out, to be perfectly honest.

As for in the future, I think they'd be 100% together in TMUA and TBITB and also as Robin Stevens says something is going to happen in Halexander's relationship in the next ministry book, I took inspiration from this and headcannon George and Hazel having a baby together and that she was unknowingly in her first trimester during The Body In The Blitz. I think George has always wanted to be a father, but Hazel is a little more unsure because of everything that happened in ASOM but they muddle through together <3

SU AU lore dump

This is part 2 of me and @lewissilvertree's GIANT Steven Universe dump. The lore edition! Most of the writing was done by Lewis but this is pretty much a timeline from when we first made this AU to now :> Enjoy!

So my OC's name is Vic, she's an Orange Jasper that was a bit overbaked when she came out, kind of like Amethyst. Bob in this AU is Vic's brother, and they fight. ALL THE TIME. I have countless headcannons and rp's to prove it! Anywho, Vic is PAINFULLY insecure about her height and the way she came out. Since she wasn't the most practical at battle, Bob taught her how to fight, and she also turned to books and education, so she's more brains than brawn. She's actually more similar to a Peridot! During the gem war, Vic nearly got cracked and was taken to some sort of fountain to be healed. After that, Bob became a lot more protective over his little sister. She ended up getting limb enhancers and was assigned to look over a planet so YD could colonize it. When Bob learned of this, however, he wanted to stow away on Vic's roaming eye because he didn't want her to go by herself. So he did. YD kinda just didn't care...and that's when they meet Lewis's OC, Eclipse! When Eclipse first emerged, he radiated insane power. The diamonds feared this power and banished Eclipse to a very far planet and it was eventually forgotten about. Until Vic and Bob came along. They were tasked to study the planet and stumbled upon Eclipse. In the AU, Eclipse is a legend, a myth spread about, saying that Eclipse was a threat to the diamonds because he was more powerful than them. Of course Eclipse had no idea since he was long banished when the story was created. When Eclipse met Vic and Bob he was happy since he hasn’t seen a gem in thousands of years on the lonely planet. He followed them around and liked to talk to them. Until one day he heard about yellow diamond and how she feared Eclipse. He wanted to talk to YD and explain that he’s friendly and means no harm! Eventually Bob and Vic gets called by YD and Eclipse was told to stay out of camera range so YD won’t see him. Unfortunately he is spotted and YD commands Bob and Vic to poof Eclipse and take him to Homeworld for "experimentation". (But really, YD wanted to shatter him) Vic poofs Eclipse, feeling terrible about it. They take Eclipses gem and went back to homeworld. They’d go to the lab and drop Eclipse off, but he started to break out of the bubble that Vic bubbled him in. Bob and Vic panic and get called into YD's palace. She wanted to see Eclipses gem for herself Bob and Vic didn’t want to but then Eclipse finally breaks out of the bubble in a giant poof of steam. YD is shocked by this as Eclipse processes what and where he is. He's happy to see YD and goes to try and talk to her but she's is fearful and the two start to argue. Eventually, Bob and Vic decided they needed to fuse to save Eclipse. Vic says something to YD and she instantly poofs Vic as a result which terrifies Bob and triggers Eclipse and poofs YD. Everyone being terrified they go and attack the group. Bob held Vic’s gem and fled with Eclipse. They triedto work a pod to escape but didnt know how because that's Vic's specialty. Luckily she reforms in time to work the ship and they escape. They try to de-stress in the ship as it traveled. Vic has the idea to join the Crystal Gems on Earth once everything has died down (Bob isn't very fond of that idea but comes along) before they crash land onto the beach in Beach City knocking them all out. Bob and Vic see that Eclipse ripped off the ships door, and found him just laying there unconscious in the sand. The siblings meet the Crystal Gems and Eclipse wakes up. Bob went inside to try and fix the ship but he kinda doesn’t know how to fix it. So Vic goes in and sees what dumb things he did and goes to repair the ship. But she can’t, it’s too wrecked. Fast forward to Future era, everyone has a new look and Eclipse and Bob are boyfriends. The gang is supposed to meet Garnet at Fish Stew Pizza, but because Bob led the way, they're lost. Then a lapis named Astrid comes along and asks if they need help. Some part in Vic instantly took a liking to Astrid, but Bob? The exact opposite. The reason? Because Vic might be growing up and he can't handle it. (1/2)

Hey, y'all! I would appreciate if you would check out my ao3 account, I currently have two oneshots and one three parter published(one oneshot and the three parter are in the Harry Potter universe while the other oneshot is for Doctor Who), but I'm gonna post a bunch more. I'm an experienced writer as well and have written a total of 132 fics since December 11th, 2021, but I only have access to eight of them(the three on my new main account and five on a throw away account), because I lost my first two main accounts for various reasons(my first account was bankslucius57gmailcom and my second was Iwanttogotosleep(the throw away is Abunchofracoonsinatrenchcoat). I write fics with lots of queer and disabled characters, but they're usually OOC and with American words because I'm from Kentucky(so the fics will say diapers instead of nappies even when set in Europe, for example), but I do try and make certain things regionally accurate, for example: I will look into England's politics and/or laws if it becomes necessary for a fic. I always make all dates accurate, so if a fic says that a certain date was a Saturday, it WAS a Saturday in real life, even the ones sat in the far future or past. I am also open to suggestions for different fic plots, character headcannons, etc. both submitted on Tumblr or in the comment section of one of my fics, but I can't promise I will do all of them. In the past I have written in the fandoms: Harry Potter, My Hero Academia, The Owl House, MCU, Percy Jackson, My Little Pony, Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, The Hunger Games, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Doctor Who, Sherlock(BBC), an Original Work, Heartstopper, Twilight, and South Park, but I'm also part of other fandoms so might write in them.
