Tyler Posey: No, ‘Teen Wolf’ co-star Dylan O’Brien wasn’t at my wedding — here’s why

Tyler Posey’s wolf pack reunited as he married indie musician Phem at a private meditation garden in Pacific Palisades on Oct. 14.

“It was just so exciting to share that with them. I love them,” Posey, 32, told The Post. “I always have and I always will. They were hanging with me all night and partying and dancing. And it was just such a fun experience and it just meant a lot that whoever did show up was there.”

The actor, who was recently revealed as Hawk on “The Masked Singer,” played Scott McCall on MTV’s “Teen Wolf” for six seasons from 2011 to 2017. Posey’s onscreen best friend Dylan O’Brien (Stiles Stilinski), however, did not attend his nuptials.

“No Dylans. They were both busy,” Posey said of O’Brien, 32, and Dylan Sprayberry.

“They were both invited, but they were busy,” he clarified.

Those who did join the festivities included Colton Haynes, Tyler Hoechlin, JR Bourne and Khylin Rhambo.

“I think those are the only [ones] because we had a pretty small one,” he explained. “I really had to be strategic and kind of bite the bullet and be like, ‘Oh, sh-t, I can’t.’ Who would I need to see there? And all of those people mean so much to me. And so the fact that they can make it was — it was so cool. I was so touched.”

Some of the “Teen Wolf” cast members do stay in touch in other ways though.

“We do have a text chain. We’re all really busy. I think it’s hard to keep it going every day. But I think my favorite part about it is just growing up together and getting closer and closer as time goes on because it really solidifies how meaningful it is and how true the friendship we actually have when we grow closer, as we grow older. You get more settled into who we are as individuals and getting to share that with one another,” he told The Post.

“It’s true friendship that we were sort of not forced into, but we ran with it. It’s really special,” he continued. “I’m really happy that we have that.”

As for what the main topic of discussion is via text?

“I think we’re always just sharing love with one another and probably sharing food [photos],” he revealed.

“Me and Holland [Roden] specifically — we are huge foodies,” he added. “And so we’re constantly saying we love each other, the whole crew. But then we share what dish was best recently and stuff like that.”

My Backstory

Life was boring most days, or that is what Stephanie Stilinski would say. She is on the volleyball team but not very good because she is as uncoordinated as a baby deer. She is blissfully unaware of the supernatural world around her until she listens to one of her dad's phone calls, you see he's the local Sheriff, and half of a dead body was found! Stuff like that doesn't happen in Beacon Hills so she gets excited and drags her best friend out into the woods to look for it. Unfortunately, she gets caught by some of the deputies and Scott was smart enough to hide before they caught him too.

The next day at school Scott has a nasty bite on his side and he says a wolf bit him which isn't possible because there aren't any wolves in California. After that everything starts to change and she meets a mysterious man in the woods, Derek Hale, tall, dark, and completely sexy, but very sour attitude. Over the next two years, a lot of craziness happens like them nearly dying every week, and this uptick in trouble prompts her father to buy her a handgun and begin taking her to the gun range three times a week. He had of course taught her all her life about gun safety but now he was teaching her how to shoot. She and Sourwolf, that's what she calls Derek because he's a freaking werewolf, have developed this sort of frienemies relationship. He seems to hate her entire existence and derives happiness from her suffering, maybe she's a little dramatic, he seems to be the one always saving her life and surprisingly she has saved him several times. Including the time he was shot and she nearly had to cut his arm off and then the time she had to hold his heavy ass up in the pool so he didn't drown because he had gotten paralyzed while protecting her. He always seemed to be protecting her and then yelling at her for being in danger at all. He was very confusing and unfortunately for her, she had developed a massive crush on the one man that hates her guts. Or at least that is what she thought until she found him in her bedroom, she needs to stop leaving her window open, Scotts dumbass had told her dad that Derek tried to kill them because he thought Derek was the alpha. They had nearly died that night and they thought Derek was dead so color her surprised when she walks into her room the next day and drops her bag by her desk then suddenly there is a hand around her throat and she's being shoved into the bedroom door. At first, she's afraid, unknowingly emitting the smell of fear, until she sees who has her by the throat. A very angry-looking Derek Hale, fear turns to arousal because of her stupid crush. The man of her dreams, literally, is very close and he smells so good like the forest after it rains. He's just standing there hot hand against her throat and she can see the worry in his eyes, was he worried about her? Or just worried she would tell her father he was here? Then his eyes drop to her lips and in her head, she's shouting, 'YES! KISS ME YOU ASSHOLE!' but he doesn't kiss her he looks back up into her eyes before nodding and pulling back. That had been some sort of turning point for them because after that she and Derek went from Frenemies to friends and she discovered he spoke her language of sarcasm fluently. After Derek killed Peter and became the Alpha he changed and became more confident more bossy and so much hotter. She has been crushing on this man for two years now. The crush only deepens when he comes to her rescue in a non-life-threatening moment, a first for them, her beloved jeep has decided to break down yet again. She's stuck on the side of the road with her head thrown back in exasperation because she doesn't have the money to put it in the shop again. Then there's a knock at her window making her jump and let out a shout of surprise. Derek, the asshole, smiles in amusement and that is the first time she has seen him smile. It brightens up his face and oh my god he is so handsome, she wants to see him smile more no she wants to be the reason he smiles. "Car trouble?" He asks with that amused tone and she was definitely past crush and falling in love with him. She really needs to stop because he has made it obvious that they are only friends and barely that. "Yeah I don't know what is wrong this time and I'm just waiting on my dad." How embarrassing. She feels like a child saying she is waiting for her dad. Even though she turned eighteen a week ago when she's around him she feels like a child. He had texted her Happy Birthday but hadn't gotten her anything or even showed up at her party. Part of her had hoped her age was the only barrier keeping them as friends but his string of beautiful women that he slept with or dated told her he just didn't see her that way. Like a child, she always felt insecure around him, like she wasn't good enough, and yet she still wanted him to see her. She shakes herself and plasters on a smile for him of course now she knows that wolves can smell strong emotions and she hopes her current spiral down depression lane wasn't strong enough to smell. "Let me take a look pop the hood." He says to her so she does just that. After that day he was slightly nicer to her and he smiled at her sometimes when they were hanging out alone. She began to have hope that he actually did see her as more than a kid. She had just gotten her college acceptance letters in and she would be leaving for school in a few months. Stanford! On her way over to show Derek the acceptance letter and ask him on a date because she was feeling emboldened by the full-ride scholarship she thinks about what she is going to say to him. But as she gets to the door of his loft and she's about to knock she hears him growl and then a woman moaning. He was fucking some woman. Everything just crashes around her. The acceptance letter falls from her hand drifting to the floor as she turns and runs from the loft hallway. Back in her jeep, the tears begin to flow and her depression sets in, of course, he was fucking someone she was an idiot to ever think he saw her. Wiping furiously at her eyes she pulls out her phone and clicked delete on his contact information, the little message box asking if she was sure just made her cry even harder as she hit cancel. She tosses the device into her passenger seat and drives away from the loft and away from Derek forever. Over the next few days, she manages to secure early dorm housing ignoring the calls and text messages from Derek wishing he would just leave her alone because each time his name pops up on her phone it hurts all over again. She was leaving Beacon Hills and Derek Hale behind for good.

Harri and Katherine would be good friends when they eventually spend more time together. Kat is probably a little of the calming force that Harri needs in her life, pulling her back from some of her more hot headed moments. I think Harri would love the way Kat has with words in writing as well, and constantly be reminding her that she’s awesome whenever she can. Also, you can guarantee Harri will fight anyone for being mean to Kat. They might only really cross paths during OWLS, but that doesn’t matter. Harri would be so proud of Kat always trying to prove people wrong about her though.

Remy and Renée would get along well. They might know each other in passing from when they were younger, but they grow closer when Renée returns to Beacon Hills. I think Remy would have a playful relationship with Stephie; but she’d have a hard time with Stuart - most people do. Stephie and Remy would probably be the closest, they’re both excitable and I can see Stephie being so excited about her being a siren (Remy would fight her corner for the right to know, I bet, and possibly even have told her about her side of things earlier).

I feel Teagan would be so protective of Melody - still a little baffled by the fact she’s literally Luke’s niece and their age. Also, a little of her love for Wendy would be seen too - she can’t believe the woman is an adult, but damn is she proud of her as if they were family. I could also see Teagan trying to teach Melody how to play the guitar when she can see the ghosts.

You know what I really want rn? Rarepair (or at least not as popular) compilations but for fictional friendships (including rare types of friendships if not specific characters, like introvert/extrovert, crossovers, intergenerational, etc.)
