OC Community Positivity Event March 2022 - OC Creator BINGO!

Look, our community has had a rough go at things for nearly a year now (longer for some) But instead of dwelling in that hate let’s try to go forward with some positivity!

I’d like to introduce OC Creator BINGO! 

You’ll have the entire month of March to fill out a card similar to this! (All cards will be different and I will make them and send them to you - the following is just an example DO NOT FILL OUT!) (Names were chosen by who was in my notifications and in my email)

How to fill out the card? I have started a list of tasks you are able to do. You get to pick which task you want to do for each person on your card. If you want to do the same task for all creators, that’s fine. Here are some of the options: 

Send 5 asks to a creator about their OCs (and reblog the answers)

Start a private conversation with a new creator

Create a moodboard / aesthetic for a creator’s OC

Leave 3 reviews on a creator’s fic

Send 5 positivity asks to a creator

Create a manip  for a creator’s OC

Create a poster / story cover  for a creator’s OC

Create a video  for a creator’s OC

Create a drabble  for a creator’s OC

Create a gifset  for a creator’s OC

Draw an OC for a creator  for a creator’s OC

Reach out to a creator that is struggling  for a creator’s OC

Do a liveblog  for a creator’s OC

Make a playlist  for a creator’s OC

Make a blog recommendation post on your tumblr for a creator

(If you’d like to recommend other options, please do so. But I will add them at my discretion.) 

Now, I understand that some of you have some beef with other creators. If I get enough participation, I will do my best to keep them off your card.  If for some reason they end up on your card, there are still tasks on there that you should be able to do. 

Also, if you have notes in your bio about being 18+ I will do my best to match you with people I know are 18+ and put you on 18+ cards. 

Remember, this is about spreading positivity and creating community.

I will also try to spread each creator evenly as I can so that one person isn’t on all the cards and someone else is only on one (which is why I’ll need a weekend to create these)

I’ve made the sign-up a Google Form so you don’t have to worry about if you’ve blocked me. This is to have fun and build community.

You have until February 25th to enter (This way I can make the cards over the weekend and get them to you by February 28th for a March 1st start)

Just imagine it. Maybe bedlam? Maybe beer?

This is for all the OC writers out there. While I am sure someone on Tumblr has likely done this more than once, imagine the fun/chaos/mayhem that could come about if a thread were started where all the OCs could hop in and interact? A sort of Last Chance Saloon where time and place and fandom do not matter.

Might be fun. Might also be totally not doable for many reasons.

You have from now until the end of March to completely fill out your BINGO card.

The following are some ways to fill in a spot for your creators:

Send 5 asks to a creator about their OCs (and reblog the answers)

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO ALL OF THEM! You can pick and choose what works best for you. If you wanted to just reblog posts for all the creators on your list (because that’s an option) then go for it. Choose what you are most comfortable doing.

Please respect all creators on your card.

I would highly recommend making a pinned post with your OC information. This way people don’t have to search too much. If you’re having a hard time, you can message me and I will try my best to direct you to the OC content.

With 76 cards to make, I KNOW I made mistakes. I’ll own up to it. If you have a double of someone, please privately message me and I’ll switch out one of your doubles for a different creator.

Greetings from my corner of the MCU Multiverse!

For those taking part in @ocfairygodmother’s OC Creator Bingo, welcome!

Kari MacOrish, the only OC I am writing at this point on Tumblr, is the MCU version of a character I have been gaming as on various play-by-post boards since late 2001. She was born as a character in Marvel’s 616 Universe X-Men realm. She has had a lot of OC versions because I never met an AU I didn’t like.

Some facts:

▪️She is the 1,500 year-old avatar of the Celtic war goddess The Morrigan.

▪️Her faces are Julianne Moore and the character Brigid The Protector from the comic book More Than Mortal.

▪️Her code name, though she still has yet to use it in the MCU, is Karenza. Only a few people know it: Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, Thor, Loki, Helmut Zemo

▪️She has known the following MCU characters at points before she officially entered the world of the post-Age of Ultron Avengers: Thor, Loki, Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, The Howling Commandos, Peggy Carter, Howard Stark, Tony Stark and Nick Fury.

▪️She is slowly developing a romantic relationship with Bucky Barnes. Heaven help the poor man!

▪️Kari has had many careers over the years when she was not swinging a sword: singer, drink slinger, reporter, bakery owner, horse breeder.

▪️She has a pet orange tabby cat named Hickory (who not too surprisingly takes after a kitty I once had in my life), but he is not her familiar.
