Aaaaaaahhhhhhh I love this fic and I can't wait to get back to it (and I know @lavender-lotion is looking forward to it too lol)

Here's a snippet I've posted in the past. This fic is post-3b and it's slowburn and has a lot of healing.

Here's something from the first scene (?):

Derek climbs through Stiles’ window, but pauses when he realizes Stiles is just sitting on the edge of his bed staring at the wall. Stiles tilts his head slightly and watches as Derek finishes climbing through the window. The two of them silently stare at each other as Derek tugs gently on his shirt to adjust it.

“You haven’t done that in a while,��� Stiles notes after a moment. 

Derek shrugs and takes a few steps closer. He slowly reaches out and grips Stiles’ shoulder. The gesture is reminiscent of the moment when Stiles did the same thing for Derek, although their positions are reversed. Neither of them comment on the similarity of the gesture or the many changes that have happened since then. Stiles sighs and after a long moment, leans forward until eventually his forehead rests against Derek’s sternum. Derek’s other arm comes up and he wraps them both around Stiles’ shoulders. After another long moment, Stiles brings his arms up and wraps them around Derek’s waist. 

“You’re not going to ask me how I’m doing?” Stiles murmurs into Derek’s shirt. 

Derek snorts. “Is that what everyone else has been doing?” Stiles nods. “Do you want to talk about it?” Stiles shakes his head. “Then we don’t have to.”

“I can’t go to school,” Stiles whispered the next morning. Dad smoothed his hand down before he kissed his forehead. Stiles rolled over and buried his face into his pillow. It was still warm, and it smelled like Isaac. He liked that. “I’ll swing by during my lunch, kiddo,” Dad murmured, so Stiles made sure he forced himself to nod his head before he heard his dad walk away. He let sleep take him. It hurt less.
