hi again! I'm bringing asileverse lore

about Stella and Octavia

• no, Stella isn't Andrealfus/Adrammelech's sister in this AU, it's cooler lol because she's Stolas' great-granddaughter

• through his branch she inherited non-human traits, like Eden creatures she looks like human, but with feathers and specific eyes, + can turn into white owl

• and yes she has a child with him (they were never married, and both have/have had children from others; Octavia is the youngest of Stolas' intelligent demon children and the eighth of Stella's daughters)

• Stella first met Stolas in person at one of the festivals in his honor, she was already over five hundred years old then

• Octavia just entering the age of girlhood

• Stella was born during the Roman Republic, she's monumental and she's... tough, love for daughters and stargazing are the only soft things about her

• she named all her daughters in latin, one by one, she just found old roman tradition of naming daughters pleasant to hear

• Stella raises Octavia herself, like all older children

• Stella adores daughter and teaches her everything that's necessary, but she treats her strictly and is very afraid to let her go, because she has already lost three daughters (Secunda died of illness, Quarta on the Governor's hunt, Sexta in childbirth)

• Octavia loves mom and knows that mom will always be at her side, but sometimes gets tired of her guidance and care

• they don't communicate with Stolas very often: he's ~8,500 years old, indifferent to parenthood because of age and treats Stella and Octavia as good acquaintances

• however, when Stella gave birth to eight daughter, she came to him to show child (Stolas said "she would be beautiful", and he was right)

• Octavia knows that she's her father's great-great-granddaughter at the same time, but she doesn't care, it's okay for firstborn creatures, they're all related to each other in one way or another

• she's still a recluse, but she came to Stolas' festival to offer prayers when his holiday was helding

• sometimes Octavia visits Stolas in his observatory, garden and workshop, they spend time together examining stars and herbs

• Octavia reads aloud to father when he wants to sleep

My modern fairy Stella redesign!

Princess Stella, heir to the throne of Solaria, a person who is the sun itself, literally.

Her initial powers are based on the sun and moon, but as the series progresses, her powers become star-only.

She would like her parents to be united, but they are opposites. She doesn't get along very well with her stepmother, the witch Cassandra, and her half-sister Chimera, sometimes it seems that she doesn't act as she really would like, looking like puppet.

General Headcanons:

Stella has big time commitment issues due to her parents' divorce and the media's involvement in it.

It takes her a long time to become serious with Brandon due to this. She knows that their relationship will be scrutinized, and she doesn't want him scared off.

Her interest in fashion started when she was 12. Her parents' marriage was on the rocks and fashion gave her back some control over her life.

Stella is dyslexic and pretends to be dumb to hide it. She'd rather people think she's purposely not doing well than that she's struggling.

Her favorite food is linguine ala clams.

Loves volunteering to do makeup for local theaters.

I decided to update my Stella redesign reference sheet! I honestly like it a lot more than my old one..

Here’s her lore! I personally saw how sad her story was before Viv decided to crap on it with the whole “UwU Stolas did nothing wrong and Stella was a big meanie oh noooo! :(“ thing. She had so much potential to be a tragic character but NOOOOO….

The Andromeda family was a relatively well-known group of bird-like creatures known throughout the purgatory Underworld. They say that these birds hatched from eggs that fell from meteor showers…

And Stella’s was the brightest of all, having fallen during a meteor shower that took place during a pink moon.

The young Stella, while ambitious and focused on her studies of the stars, was incredibly quiet and introverted, and her sensitive and kind nature brought concern to her family, especially her older brother Andrealphus. One day, her family pulled the adolescent swan aside to inform her that she had been arranged to marry the Goetia prince Stolss in about 5 years. She protested greatly, but was told to stop, as she will be considered nothing but a machine to pump out an heir and the accessory of a lavishing, well-endowed prince.

Afraid of what could happen if she said no, Stella complied, and married Stolas at the age of 18. 3 years later, the pair finally managed to have an egg hatch under a lunar eclipse; Octavia Goetia. Despite her circumstances, Stella genuinely loved and cared for her child, teaching her about the stars whenever Stolas would go off to predict the sky’s events for the Underworld. While she was content being a mother for the most part, she couldn’t say the same about being a wife to Stolas. She felt incredibly uneasy around him, as he would give her condescending remarks on her passion for the constellations and… honestly not be at home all the time. Prediction affairs, he said, we’re keeping him busy.

Stella’s reality shattered when she found out Stolas (very loudly) had an affair during their anniversary party. Heartbroken, Stella confronted the owlish prince, but was met with a rather different response; he started claiming that HE did everything to make sure they had a relatively stable life, that HE took care of Octavia’s teachings, that HE has everything under control. Stella grew angrier, trying to snap Stolas back to reality when—

She realized this wasn’t reality. It was all him.

She broke out of her daze and ran away with Octavia, which Stolas took awfully and claimed that the witch stole away his daughter. She was living with her brother for weeks on end before finding out about a demonologist who also discovered the truth. And so, Stella set out to take her in as an apprentice of sorts, helping her prepare to confront her former lover against all odds. And along the way, perhaps Stella could grow a thicker skin and learn to assert herself against Stolas, even if it meant being seen as a treacherous witch in his eyes.

And that’s pretty much it! I honestly wish she got more depth beyond being Stolas’s mean ex wife who gets in the way of Stolitz.
