Blue Shorts And Gloves (McDanno)
Tumblr media
Summary: Danny... well Danny is Danny. Stella is a protective Sister and both Steve and herself wanna commit a crime when it comes to Danno.
A/N: Also on my A03 I was tired when I wrote this shit.
--
Steve couldn’t help the way his heart practically dropped to his ass his soul going beneath the gray concrete outside of the boxing ring his fingers tightening on the gate feeling the color drain from his face as his eyes widen it happened so fast that it was almost slow for Steve, to the untrained no one else could see what Steve just saw.  He saw the punch he saw the form and he saw exactly where the opponent was gonna punch Danny– Steve cringed feeling nauseous when he saw how roughly and painfully Danny's head shot to the side, it was a cheap shot an illegal shot one that can cause life's worth of brain damage and death Daniel had told him about it, he even told Steve how that he did get a hit like that back when he was fourteen- he has the dent on the back of his head to prove it, it was on the right side behind Danny's earlobe a little down near his neck Steve hadn’t noticed till just now that he has been unintentionally standing on Dannys right side, to protect him– to keep those who know of the injury away from Danny.  Steve had once put pressure on the dent. He was terrified when he heard the way Danny grunted those blue eyes rolling to the back of his head as his knees buckled. Steve immediately caught him when he noticed his mistake– he had unarmed Danny by one little push with his thumb.
Steve couldn’t stop saying sorry that day, he was mortified for Danny.  “Stop saying sorry, you just caught me off guard Steve, it's okay, quit it.”  Danny had given him that boyish Jersey grin.  But right now Danny wasn’t grinning, he was staggering– Steve could see the way his legs were shaking trying to keep himself up after the blow– he could see the murky cloud overlay those blue eyes, they almost looked gray.  Steve knuckles whitened by how hard he was gripping the bars, his heart stopping when Danny's body seemed to give in and collapse to the ground, his head bouncing on the floor rolling to the side away from Steve a harsh crack booming in the teen ears.  No, Nope, No! No more!. The crowd cheered and groaned a mix of feelings, taking them all,  “Danny!” a female screeched their voice holding pure terrier “keep that monster away from my brother!” the female– Stella, Danny's oldest sister– seethed her voice turning harsh and angry but Steve could hear the fear, Stella kept up with Steve who had rushed to the fighting ring door ripping it open the referee tries to stop Steve– Stella is the one to push him away making him land straight on his ass.
Are all the Williams siblings strong?.
Her eyes are cold when she looks at the older man speaking between her teeth– something Steve has seen Danny do plenty of times– “Keep that mutt on a leash” she growls out making her way to her unconscious brother quickly squatting down beside him carefully taking his face into her hands carefully turning his head towards her.  Steve stood protectively in front of her to keep his eye on Killer, ‘ what a generic ass name, couldn't be more creative?’ Steve hears Danny voice in the back of his mind for when they were in the locker room when round 3 had ended and everyone was taking a break, Danny sitting on the bench as Steve was pouring water on the swollen side of Danny's face whipping it off with a towel, his blood staining it.  ‘Not everyone can have a nice name like you Danny.’  Steve had smiled when he said that. ‘Hey the name means a lot to me, what's wrong with Jersey Shore?.’ ‘Nothing, just thought you would pick something more threatening.’  Danny had scoffed at that, ‘Hey my height and attitude make me threatening enough I’ll have you know.’  Steve grinned a bit ‘Sure Jersey Sure.’  ‘Kiss my ass Hawaii.’ Steve didn’t but he did kiss the blonde's forehead.
“Danny, Danny can you hear me runt? It's your big sister.” Stella spoke softly, gently rubbing the less bruised side of Daniels face to ease him awake.  Killer had grinned at Steve, he didn’t like that so the most Steve could do was keep a straight face watching over Stella and Danny so he doesn’t commit a self defense murder.  Danny needed medical attention, of course, but something in the back of his head told him Danny will be okay.  And funny enough it sounded just like his blue sky.

any chance of an updated list?
Of course!!
Also, this is the NEW and FUCKING IMPROVED LIST, I alphabetized it so it’s even better than before >:3
Currently, we have 340 unique characters (if I counted right) and 487 total submissions. The top three most submitted fandoms are Homestuck, Danganronpa, and One Piece, excluding submissions that were spelt wrong or spelt differently. The top three submitted characters are Haiji Towa, Vriska Serket, and Stella Goeta (stella has so many submissions it’s funny)!
Finally, this is the raw, unedited list of characters submitted so far. Just because they are here doesn’t mean they’ll be in the tournament; it just means they’ve been submitted, regardless of media or what character they are!
as always, list under the cut!
This first list is for characters with two or more submissions. Characters who have three or more submissions will get first dibs in the tournament!

Scenario: Danny and Eric are visiting NJ for some reason or another. One particular night when it’s just Eric, Danny, and Stella they have one of those hypothetical scenario games. ‘If you were stranded on an island and had to take three items, what would you take?’
Stella and Danny give their ‘normal person replies’ varying from practical to sentimental to unpractical but I want it to be there for me anyway.
Eric lists three things that are ‘McGarrett’ approved and then goes into detail about Danny Rescue Plans that Steve has preplanned for every and any scenario Danny might ever need rescuing from. Apparently, Steve took a weekend and gave everyone a PowerPoint presentation of the basics so they’d all be in the know.
“If you go into his garage there’ll be like ‘hurricane kit’, ‘jungle survival kit’, ‘emergency SEAL kit’, and ‘Rescue Danny kits’...and yes, kits as in plural.” Eric said very seriously.

I will forever be upset that Eric and Grace didn’t have a moment together.
Nothing ever said about Eric’s dad, I’m gonna go ahead and share my headcanons.
Eric’s dad stayed long enough during the pregnancy and birth for Eric to have the last name Russo instead of Williams. If Stella had gotten pregnant and had to go through all of that on her own, you damn well better believe her kid would be a Williams by blood and name.
Eric’s dad split early on. If Danny(and/or Matt) ever caught sight of that fucker in the streets then it would go down and because it’s Danny, he would accept whatever reprimand at the station and wear it like a badge of honor(though because of his ability as a cop, they’d go pretty lenient on him)
Back to Eric...Danny, as the oldest, and more responsible brother, was probably there a lot for Eric at the start. Before his career took off and started a family of his own. Danny was the closest thing Eric’s ever come to having a father figure who didn’t leave or let him down. Though he left, Eric eventually understood Danny did it for Grace. Though it was after feelings of abandonment and jealousy. Because he was damn jealous of Grace when he was younger. Danny went far and beyond, uprooted his damn life to follow his kid. And him? He was lucky if he got a post card ever other year maybe.
Which is why I think Stella eventually sent Eric to Danny.
Danny’s hints about what growing up in Jersey were also what Eric would have been through. In fact, I believe it’s Danny’s legacy as a cop in Jersey that’s saved Eric years of jail time! Eric might not have been a cold hearted criminal, but it’s so easy to get mixed up in the wrong crowd! A cop who picked him up would probably learn who Eric was, and pull some strings or favors and look the other way and let Eric go because for the most part it would be pettier crimes. But one day it wouldn’t be. And Stella was seeing that.
So...I love my Jersey boys a lot! I wished they would have been given more respect and not just used as the comic relief. I wished Eric would have had more bonding time with Danny and Grace and Charlie.

Okay, so lots of people wanted this and so, I am compiling a list of my favourite books (both fiction and non-fiction), books that I recommend you read as soon as humanly possible. In the meantime, I’ll be pinning this post to the top of my blog (once I work out how to do that lmao) so it will be accessible for old and new followers. I’m going to order this list thematically, I think, just to keep everything tidy and orderly. Of course, a lot of this list will consist of historical fiction and historical non-fiction because that’s what I read primarily and thus, that’s where my bias is, but I promise to try and spice it up just a little bit.

I'm just sad that the show's over and we still havent seen Stella Williams-Russo. I'm sure she'd see right through the boys' bullshit. Do you have any fancast of her?
YES. I’m sad about that too! I don’t really do fancasts (maybe someone else has some?) but I always imagined Stella as maybe a little shorter than Danny with blond curls (more like Clara’s hairdo than Bridget’s or Danny’s, but maybe even a little curlier) and, of course, A Lot To Say. This is a woman that means well but expresses it loudly and will not shut up. It’s a wonder Eric ever learned to speak, really, because you wouldn’t think he’d get a word in edgewise with his mother. (She had him when she was very young but she loves him like crazy, and he will tell you she is an awesome mom and that single moms kick ass.)

Royal wedding: Meghan Markle was married in a Givenchy dress with a five-metre veil - ABC News
Updated May 21, 2018 13:21:52

Price Harry and Meghan Markle, now the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have tied the knot at Windsor Castle and unsurprisingly, all eyes were on what the bride was wearing.
The silk boat-necked gown with a long billowing veil was designed by acclaimed British designer Clare Waight Keller, who last year became the artistic director of French fashion house Givenchy, Kensington Palace said.
The clean lines of the white dress highlighted Ms Markle’s smiling face as she sat at the altar of the chapel, holding Harry’s hand as the sprawling train lay at her feet.
According to the Palace, the Duchess worked closely with Ms Keller on the design.

“The dress epitomises a timeless minimal elegance referencing the codes of the iconic House of Givenchy and showcasing the expert craftsmanship of its world-renowned Parisian couture atelier founded in 1952,” Kensington Palace said.
“The focus of the dress is the graphic open bateau neckline that gracefully frames the shoulders and emphasises the slender sculpted waist.”
“The lines of the dress extend towards the back where the train flows in soft round folds cushioned by an underskirt in triple silk organza. The slim three-quarter sleeves add a note of refined modernity.”
The material, a double bonded silk cady, was specially developed for the dress.
The floral design on her five-metre-long veil referenced members of the Commonwealth.
The silk tulle veil was held in place by Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, lent to the Duchess by the Queen.
“The diamond bandeau is English and was made in 1932, with the centre brooch dating from 1893.”

The wedding shoes, made of a silk duchess satin, were based on a Givenchy-refined pointed couture design.
“It’s brave to not have decorations and embellishments. What a strong fashion statement. It’s modern and classic at the same time,” Phillipa Lepley, a leading London bridal designer, said.
“The overall look is very ’50s and gorgeous!”
Ms Markle’s choice was no casual affair. Televised royal weddings like this one have a massive effect on what brides everywhere want to wear and are closely watched across the fashion industry.
Princess Diana’s 1981 wedding gown, with its romantic details and dramatic train, defined the 1980s fairy tale bridal look.
More recently, when Kate Middleton married Prince William in 2011, her long-sleeved lace gown immediately sparked a trend for more covered-up, traditional lace bridal dresses.
The designer of Markle’s dress was one of the wedding’s most closely-guarded secrets, sparking months of speculation.
Ms Keller was a surprise choice — her name was not among the many designers slated to be possible contenders for what many called the dress commission of the year.
Educated at the Ravensbourne College of Art in south London, Ms Keller kicked off her career at Calvin Klein in New York designing women’s ready-to-wear before moving to Ralph Laruen to work on the men’s Purple Label.
After stints at Gucci, Pringle and Chloe, she was appointed as artistic director of Givenchy haute couture and women’s and men’s ready-to-wear last year.
Ahead of the wedding, the top guesses from Britain’s bookmakers for Markle’s wedding dress designer included Erdem, founded by Canadian-born designer Erdem Moralioglu; Ralph & Russo, the couture designers that Markle chose for her engagement dress; Alexander McQueen, the label that created Kate’s wedding gown; Stella McCartney; Burberry and Oscar de la Renta.
