STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT CLASSIC COLLECTION

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games revealed Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection, which will see the beloved Star Wars Battlefront (2004) and Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) introduced to a new generation. Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection features restored online play for up to 64 players, expansions to Hero Assault mode, and all previously released bonus content for both titles.

A playable build of the unreleased Star Wars Battlefront 3 (Wii version) has leaked!

It's playable but it's going to need lots of love from hackers and modders before being an enjoyable experience. I was initially worried about how it would control, because as much as I adore the Wii, I can't imagine Battlefront with motion controls. I'm a little biased but they work fantastic!

If you want to play this for yourself, you can grab it over at Hidden Palace. If you don't want to do all of that, I uploaded a 5-minute gameplay video over on our Internet Archive page. Though not shown, I used a Wii Zapper for the gameplay and shot as good as any Stormtrooper could've. Not at the fault of the zapper but something definitely due to the emulator.

Times like this I really wish I knew how to mod games.

Baron Valen Rudor, a random Imperial pilot from Rebels that I just think is cute. I will not shut up about him.

Skad from The Book of Boba Fett. I hated most of that show, the biker gang especially, but this guy and his dumb little spin move in the last episode was great. He should be in more things.

A few background zabraks from The Clone Wars that @fallenrepublick gave names and personalities to. I'm partial to Riot and Brutus.

And then not really background characters in their respective stories, but not everyone's into the books or video games, so I think of Galen/Starkiller, Eli Vanto, Thrass, Padme's handmaidens, and Rael Averross.

Oh, I also made up a character based on the voice of an Imperial officer narrator from the old Star Wars Battlefront game 😂 Which, fun fact, the guy who voiced it plays the doctor in Downton Abbey.
