kyber being colorless like water or tears until it chooses a (LIGHT) force-sensitive and becomes bright and colorful always makes me go😭😭 so glad they reused that in The Pit

Watching Tales of the Empire counts as a part of my Star Wars Marathon right? RIGHT?? Even if I started it over a year ago and the only things I have to watch left are The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker....
I finished Star Wars Visions season 2 today and just finished Tales of the Empire.
It's fascinating how in 3 episodes of around 15 minutes, you have more useful life lessons that in a 2 hour movie 🫠🫠
I loved watching SWV as you finally see the SWU as an universe and not just people apparently from different planets but still wearing the same type of clothes... Do I need a season 3? Not really. Would I watch it with pleasure if we get one? Absolutely!
I am asking, once again, that the next "Tales of the" is about the clones and 12 episodes long (for at least 4 characters) thank you. I just miss my clones.
Anyhoo, I've got a freaking fever so the doctor gave me the whole week.... I might be able to finally finish that Star Wars Marathon of mine which was ultimately me taking the time to watch the entire animated series and slowly falling in love with the character design but also watching all of the live actions series cause I always said "I'm gonna start watching them when I watch everything in chronological order"... Well didn't do that when Kenobi came out haha
Have a lovely day/night people, thank you to everyone who ever worked on a Star Wars project and especially the ones that worked on the animated series. Now I have plans for a SW Rebels tattoo and a TBB one, thanks for that haha

[#accurate ... #except England #they're fine and get to be goofy]
I'd argue that England is also included in this, perhaps less so than the others, but it's definitely still there! Since the majority of the harassment that Anni and her mother face from the Van Reeples is derived from their working class status, with class conflict and classism being an issue that (I'm pretty sure) is extremely pronounced in England— past and present.

The horseback "insurgents” in Bandits of Golak are a reference to the dacoits (bandits) of northwestern India. Charuk calls the bandits “rebels,” harkening back to some historical/famous dacoits as people who also resisted/fought the British Empire.
The people of Golak are rebelling against the Galactic Empire where people of India rebelled against the British Empire.

"Star Wars isn't dead y'all are just haters" "Disney saved Star Wars" "It's the Woke Agenda that ruined Star Wars"
My mans, Disney single-handedly destroyed the Sequel Trilogy despite the Force Awakens being the gateway to something potentially fantastic; MCU'd the Mandalorian (a story which originally had nothing to do with the Prequel and OG Trilogy aside from sharing a universe and exploring a sect of a completely different culture/ideology); ego-boosted both Filoni and Favreau to the point where their OC Verse is not only canon but openly disregarding the Star Wars Universe Bible/Lore; gave us a snippet of what an extremely misunderstood indigenous culture is actually like (instead of portraying them as the savages one of the white leads mislabeled as animals that deserved to be slaughtered) only to then wipe out the tribe we got to know for no reason other than shock value thus alienating indigenous/poc viewers in the most disrespectful way possible; completely threw away the entire message of TCW (that being a clone does not make you incapable of being your own person who has their own thoughts, ideals, moral compass and overall identity) by making TBB (a show that does have it's strong points in set design, soundtrack orchestration and overall sound design, but is extremely weak on both characterization and storytelling because they either make the meaningful plot points stretch too thin or focus on the wrong character completely) their go to show marketed for kids instead of the actual kids programming that people shit on for being for, surprise, kids; constantly disregards valid critique from their consumers (to the point where infighting in the Fandom has gotten extremely ugly) that people either give up on interacting completely or simply vanish and take all their things with them (because no one seems to understand where these critiques come from, or how being unable to admit your special little show is imperfect is actually not a good thing for both you and others).
This isn't even accounting for the fact the Fandom seems to have doubled in it's overall toxicity since Disney took over. Which is par for the course when a mega corporation takes hold of something that started out extremely political in nature anyway. The Cash Cow machine needs feeding after all...
#Eps Talks About:#Funny enough this started as an argument between my sisters#One of which isn't a Star Wars fan and the other who is an OJ and Prequels fan#My mom (who was the one to introduce us to star wars mind you) and I watched from the sidelines#Mom didn't care because she doesn't like Modern Star Wars stuff but I ended up putting an end to the argument#My younger sister is right that Disney put too much emphasis on SELLING Star Wars to newer generations to a detrimental degree#but that doesn't mean they invalidate what came prior to their shitshow or the message SW was created to uphold#in fact Andor and SW Visions S2 made a point of being the best homages to the OJ trilogy thus far by being very political in their messages#But my older sister is also right that the state of Fandoms these days is very much a US vs THEM situation in terms of how people make#themselves heard and how meeting in the middle is virtually impossible which is very much a product of social media and how people conduct#their personal image via either genuinely expressing their feelings on certain topics or simply using them for clout#It is a case of locking yourself in a room with an 'adversary' and trying to see who can scream the loudest until someone loses their voice#I love star wars but that doesn't mean I'm blind to the fact star wars also kinda sucks lmao but oh well these are just my thoughts that#I'm letting loose because I'm already pissed off from something else going wrong today and have no patience for some of the rancid shit#that keeps cropping up in either tags or posts I find in and out of Tumblr Dot Com

Okay, we got a fantastic novel expanding on Ronin from Star Wars: Visions season 1 – now I really hope we get one expanding on Screecher's Reach from season 2, because there is at least a novel's worth of interior monologue in Daal's face when trying to explain herself to her friends at the end there

you know the nature of star wars to me is that they will drop something so mid or bad or uninteresting and make me go "what the hell this sucks. i don't care about any of this. im so tired of star wars can they stop" and then they will drop something so exquisite and stunning and a masterpiece of art and i'll go "i love star wars with all of my heart and all of my soul it means so much to me and it's the best thing ever in the whole entire world" and this goes around in a violent cycle. i am being thrown around like i'm in a washing machine

one thing i cannot stop thinking about with daal and screecher’s reach is like, had she been born in the republic we would have identified her sooner!! something something about the inherent class differences between children identified and raised as jedi and those, not. kids from backwater planets either left to their own devices and discovered too late (greti from lanteeb from clone wars gambit siege) or instead scooped up by the sith (daal from screecher's reach). anakin’s kinda tricky because he obviously was discovered by the jedi, but he was also groomed by palpatine, and i firmly believe if the jedi had decided against training him because he was too old he would have been scooped up by palpatine right then and there. not sure exactly where maul fits in this because dathomir’s kind of it’s own thing (and i haven’t read all his backstory yet so i don’t know for sure) but i feel like he fits in here too. just thinking thoughts about poor kids from impoverished planets being THEE prime real estate for sith lords looking for apprentices.

this season of visions was so good. at least half the eps made me cry and i’m just so in awe of the animation. just absolutely mesmerized by it. and the stories, wow wow. a lot of them had some really dark themes, but the HOPE that was present too. that’s what it’s all about!
