I need everyone to get in on Star Trek Resurgence so that it doesn’t flop and we can get a Star Trek Resurgence 2 where one of the gameplay decisions is Captain Jara Rydek picking up a framed picture of Tylas off her desk and the options are just:
triangle button: Oh, a holoimage of my beautiful wife!
square button: Oh, a holoimage of my wonderful wife!
x button: Oh, a holoimage of my darling wife!
#star trek#star trek resurgence#jara rydek#tylas#they have so much chemistry and there are so many scenes with them that are like oh okay a romance novel is happening right now#lol at the one gay rep scene being the alien asking if her partner escaped off the exploding ship with you#and you just being like sorry lady the ship exploded#and then tylas and jara are just right there staring deeply into each others eyes#average resurgence scene: jara rydek telling her beautiful woman friend not to worry shell protect her#and then they swan dive off a cliff together in each others arms#tylas altaras

An illogical emotion
Masterlist
Words: 801 Summary: You catch Lieutenant Commander Chovak staring at you. But there's probably nothing to it, right? Warnings: kinda fluffy, first kiss
As a member of the engineering crew aboard the science vessel SS Resolute, you've encountered your fair share of interstellar wonders and captivating adventures. Life onboard was nothing short of exhilarating, as you delved into the depths of the cosmos, discovering new frontiers and pushing the boundaries of human exploration. However, amidst the bustling activity on the ship, you couldn't help but notice a peculiar gaze directed towards you. Chief Engineer Chovak, a distinguished Vulcan known for his unwavering logic and dedication to his craft, had been fixating his piercing eyes upon you during your daily tasks. At first, you dismissed it as mere coincidence, attributing it to the peculiar and sometimes strange behaviour of the Vulcan species interacting with more emotionally driven species. Vulcans were renowned for their mastery of suppressing emotions in favor of logic, after all, which sometimes felt weird to a human like you. But as the days passed, a flicker of doubt ignited within you. There was this undeniable pattern to Chovak's stares, and they were devoid of the usual stoicism that characterised his expressions, or at least you thought so. It was as if a hidden ember of something akin to affection or even love smouldered behind his usually impassive facade.
Conflicted by this unexpected turn of events, you found yourself drawn into a game of intrigue and curiosity. Did Chovak, who was not only your superior but also the epitome of Vulcan logic on this ship, harbour such feelings towards you? Was there a deeper meaning behind his intense gazes, or was it merely a figment of your imagination, fuelled by your own attraction towards the handsome Vulcan? In search of answers, you embarked upon a clandestine investigation, discreetly observing Chovak's interactions with others and analysing his subtle behaviours. Yet, the more you observed, the more questions arose. His interactions with the rest of the crew remained as professional as ever, making the singularity of his focus on you even more elusive.
One night, as only the two of you were working late in the engine room, you couldn't resist the urge any longer. You approached Chovak, hesitantly breaking the silence that had surrounded you.
"Lieutenant Commander, may I speak with you?", you almost whispered, trying to avoid eye contact.
The shuffling of his feet on the ground told you that Chovak must have turned to face you directly, his Vulcan features probably as calm and composed as always.
"Of course, he replied, his voice devoid of any emotion as he spoke your name.
"I-I-I couldn't help but notice your stares and...uhm..." you stammered, struggling to find the right words without indicating your suspicions, "is there something you wish to discuss or convey to me?"
You finally mustered the courage to look up to find Chovak's eyes searching yours. There was a flicker of something, a momentary lapse in his logical facade.
"In a world governed by logic, love seems incongruous," he murmured, almost to himself, "but it seems it is a feeling that I can neither dismiss nor hide any longer."
Your heart skipped a beat as his words sank in. Could it be? Was Chovak confessing his love for me, a mere crew member aboard the spaceship? The implications of his revelation were overwhelming, and yet, a part of you longed to explore this newfound connection. Before you could respond, Chovak's composure returned, and he averted his gaze.
"Forgive me for my momentary lapse," he said, his voice steady once again, "it is an illogical emotion, it goes against our professional relationship on this ship and I shall not trouble you further."
And just like that, the conversation ended, leaving you with a whirlwind of emotions and unanswered questions. You watched as Chovak resumed his duties, his stoic facade firmly back in place. You weren't ready to handle going back to normal again. There stood your superior, a Vulcan who, against all logic, confessed having feelings for you and you wouldn't let him pretend as it never happened. You stomped towards him, cradled the back of his neck, pulling him closer as your lips crashed on his. It took him a moment to process what you just did, his eyes staring wide at you but once the initial shock had passed, his arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer as he deepened the kiss. His lips were warm and soft and despite his usual stoic demeanour, you felt raw passion seeping through. He was the first to break the kiss, panting slightly and a smile formed on his lips at the small whimper that escaped you at the sudden loss of his touch.
“This will be complicated”, he stated rather dryly while still smiling.
“I'm human, complicated is my daily business”, you chuckled, leaning your head against his shoulder.

I am two hours into Star Trek Resurgence and I am currently playing a demisexual engineer trying to rebuff the advances of one of his friends and a pansexual first officer with a penchant for attracting aliens. This is definitely Star Trek.

I’ve played the first few...scenes? Chapters? Whatever they’re called, I’ve played the first few parts of “Resurgence,” and...I have feelings about many characters and many things. I don’t wanna spoil anything plot-wise, obviously, but Lt. Commander Chovak is the perfect kind of exacting asshole that makes me wanna try to piss him off intentionally.
Actually, he presses two different buttons in my brain:
1.) The “I wanna irritate him just to see him get angry” button, because who wouldn’t want that man pressing them up against a wall.
And
2.) The “I wanna be such an efficient worker that he ends up liking me” button, because I’d imagine that praise is somewhat difficult to come by with him.
This game really did just reach inside my brain and come up with a Vulcan mans who is exactly my type.
#star trek resurgence#i already have like 20+ screenshots from the game#it's legitimately really good at this point#it feels very star trek#which sounds ridiculous given that it's a st game#but what i mean is that it really captures the vibes#it vibes with my brain the same way the shows do#it's very Star Trek#for a star trek game
