I went to the mall to buy a purse, and found some neat flowers, i think that i might take it more seriously and try and take better photos.

Not like i have a schedule or so, i have always wanted to improve my photography.

Sometimes it feels weird to stop dead in my tracks and lay on the ground to photograph a flower when im with someone who does not get what im doing.

There's a bunch of art on the walls at the mall. Makes it lively. I messed up and the username is blurry, i'll look for it and add it when i go back.

Jasmine Syrup

This beautifully scented Jasmine Syrup, made with freshly picked flowers from my garden, will gorgeously enhance ice creams and sorbets --either as a topping or stirred into them-- and shall give a blissful floral note to my Summer drinks and cocktails! Happy Thursday!

Ingredients (makes about 250 millilitres/1 cup):

4 dozens freshly (just!) picked jasmine flowers*

1 cup filtered water (or bottled water)

1/2 cup caster sugar

*if your jasmine is organically grown; best picked in the early morning, too

Dust jasmine flowers gently, removing any piece of stem. Place jasmine flowers into a small saucepan. Cover with filtered water, and cover with a lid. Allow to infuse, at least a couple of hours, up to four.

Remove the lid and place saucepan over a medium flame. Bring to a slow boil, and simmer, a couple of minutes only.

Remove from the heat, and strain hot jasmine water, now a bright yellow colour, into a bowl.

Measure jasmine water, adding more filtered water if necessary, so you have a full cup. Pour into the saucepan, and return over medium heat.

Once boiling, stir in sugar, and increase heat to medium-high. Boil rapidly for a few minutes, until sugar is completely dissolved, and mixture thickens slightly.

Pour hot Jasmine Syrup into a sterelised glass bottle and close tightly. Once opened, keep in the refrigerator, three weeks to a month.

Use Jasmine Syrup in cocktails, or use to top fresh fruit or ice cream!
