How I feel about this character:

Obviously i love this guy, hes sweet hes a snarky cunt hes emotionally intelligent hes borderline amoral in a very his-people-focused 'im taking care of it and everything else can go to hell' way what is there NOT to love

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

J0hn and Spriteman should hang out more i want some kind of elaboration on the specifics of that relationship like nowadays j0hn is cheering on Todd's recovery but when they met in gaiden 2 and J0hn hadn't clocked the degree to which order fucked him up he related to him and his first reaction was to regard him with disdain for seeking what had been done to him before feeling bad for it when he realized the extent of Todd's helplessness at that point like theres a bit of untouched upon meat to that relationship. Google also i think about that interaction where he reassures Google theyre just as much 'human' as anyone else all the time what did he mean by this who's implying j0hn isnt a person. I know who's implied google isnt and they will pay for their crimes but who's been weird to j0hn about it that he feels the need to have this moment of cyborg solidarity with him

My unpopular opinion about this character:

I feel like its gone underaddressed how like...... Nihilistic? (maybe the wrong word) J0hn's viewpoint on the whole 'being fictional' thing is? Like, most of the nccts the takeaway is like, built to be 'just because it's not real doesn't mean it doesnt matter' but J0hn's ideological approach to it is quite literally the inverse of that. But like. Hes a fictional character also. He's pretty directly implying something being fictional means it doesnt have weight outside how it affects 'real life' even when he exists in the fictional world where it does, while also being protective of the world and its people as it is. His feelings are distant except where theyre strong because he can't help but look at things in a somewhat detached way until they're relevant to his own desires. He has. Kind of a similar broad ideological approach to his own fictionality as Prism, and i think it enables some of his more amoral impulses, like walking sephiroth's roboticized corpse on stage or potentially shrugging off Cobalt's threat (and the risk Larry's discovery is to the broader universe) as 'nagging' as implied by an ncct1 interaction with chartreuse

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

How I feel about this character

Character I automatically think of when asked who my blorbo is . favoritest guy atm. he's funny he's traumatized he's a little bitchy he's transgender he's the most emotionally well-adjusted member of the polycule which says leagues more about the rest of the polycule than it does about him he's just close enough to the center of the narrative to be devastated by it but not enough to be the true focus AND. he hacked the pentagon one time and has faced no legal consequences despite admitting to it on live TV. I love him so much

*Looks at a large portion of the art I have drawn for the past 4 years or so* is that like a trick question or (yes it's Larry of course it's Larry. guy that J0hn would commit ungodly amounts of property damage for <3)

My non-romantic OTP for this character

There's several characters who I think about J0hn being friends with a lot (Jenny, Cha Cha, Google, Spriteman, Chartreuse...) but my big friendship headcanon that has almost no canon basis but means the world to me is J0hn and Recon Riley. I forget if I've talked about it on tumblr or just in Discord dms but the gist is. bond forged by working for the shittiest boss in the world (Doctor Order) at the same time made complicated by their respective reactions to their cyborgification. I think there's a lot that could be done with their dynamic but most of it exists in my head lol

My unpopular opinion about this character

hmmm. well idk how popular my ace headcanon is for him lol... once again if I think of something for this I may come back to it but I'm not really sure what to say for this one lol

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

(obvious answer) Please give him his boyfriend back. pleasepleasepleeeeeeaaaaaaase- (less obvious answer) This is more of a general thing for the "those affected by Doctor Order" club, but I wish I saw more interaction and support between them all. there's a little bit of it- obvs J0hn encouraging CM2K in Orange and helping out Quad off-screen in a few places, but I wish it was explored a bit more. They should have like a support group or something

The 4th to last kerfuffle. The final 7 hour tournament. The longest in season 3. The second longest overall. A wham episode. An episode so huge that it needed Gaiden 5 afterwards as a breather. I have so many emotions right now

Mach 2 is possessed. Crimson is free. Peppermint is still not here. There’s like 3 things I know will happen that haven’t yet.

I thought 26 would be where the really big final plot would be truly set in motion. It had some stuff, but not too much. I thought 27 would be that. We had Prism at the end but that was about it. Red had more in it with the whole Dani thing, but then Purple and White were chill.

I feel extremely confident in saying that Orange will not be chill. I think something there is going to happen that destroys me emotionally and this is the point where I am actually going to be coming out an emotionally changed person and honestly I’m so ready for it

Anyways fuck yeah, Blue Raspberry and Spriteman are back again, hopefully Spriteman is not going to end up as fucked up as Icee

Anyone else ever remember and think about how Folk bringing back those antacids for perfect spriteman when taking into account the circumstances of the raid implies that Hamhel probably would've straight up died right then and there if he hadn't gotten that backup. Cuz thats one confirmed specific kill by one of Dr. Order's creations in the bad timeline who are now simply chilling in the good timeline. Folk knows with brilliant and specific clarity that Hamhel was murdered by a pack of carrots

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

He's a fun and enjoyable character to hear and read in the series!! He's funny and I think his deal wrt whatever Dr. Order did to him is fascinating, and obvs I'm very invested in his relationship with Larry lol. I want to study him but also I just enjoy his presence in the narrative <3

Uhhh I don't know many fashion aesthetics. I suppose cyberpunk would be fitting, if that counts? On account of Hacker

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Let's see... I don't fully remember, I don't think my first impression of him was very strong? It would have been in CPUK G2 (I hadn't caught up yet at that point) and he featured in the second piece of CPUK art I ever made, so I was definitely interested in how he dealt with Spriteman in that episode, but apart from that I don't really remember :P Obvs my impression of him now is. well. see above. I freakin love that guy he lives in my brain rent-free
