#Doodles#SCII#Damned#DAX#ZEX#I need someone to touch ZEX gently Right Now or I'll cry ;;#Just kidding I'll cry if it happens too lol#I guess Bones technically did check him over and treated him quite gently - I cried at that scene so that tracks haha#Really that was more the quiet rage that Bones felt on ZEX's behalf hh <3#Continually continually impressed by everyone's writing ahh! So moving <3#Anyhow - skipping to the next night after ZEX's ''surgery'' which actually that implies bad things for DAX uhhhh#Just to avoid meeting with Max - yet - since he woke up right after this#Spoilers! As if more than like two people know what I'm even talking about lol#Although there's also the thought of both Max and Dex ''waking up'' at the same time hgh#One last little glance at each other from beyond the veil before they slip away again#I feel Normal about them I Swear#I've been thinking about ZEX's greeting and him just barely able to keep from capping it off with his usual comfort#VUX are scary! And Max very much is not haha he is cute and unintimidating and ZEX can get away with an awful lot in his body#Firstly he just blends in which is new to him! He can get close and snuggly and not really be taken very seriously#He's pretty! He's slight and cute and just not very threatening-looking! Even the more tired he gets - the older he appears - still small#That changes a bit after his eye is removed and he's visibly scarred - people look at him differently#Still pitiful - kicked puppy a bit haha Max will always cut something of a pathetic figure <3#But I do think it's an interesting intersection of fear - intimidation? Discomfort? Concern?#He's not being viewed as a VUX still but there's Something Other about him at a glance not just when you approach him#DAX of course is just worried :( He'd do anything to protect his Admiral!#Impotence on both sides - one of protecting himself and the other of protecting someone he cares about so much! Weh#Also do you like DAX's hair getting messy hehe âȘ Hair is so confusing! Hard to take care of!#Poor both of them :( I'm considering DAX sleeping in as non-canon because if ZEX started to suspect after watching Zelnick do the same ahhh#I mean more non-canon than him being there at all anyway haha#It's too sad! He needs hugs that's what he needs

Can we talk about love in orv?
[SPOILERS]
Okay so, I am aware that Kdj loves the "story" but I really wanna point some things out individually because it's 2am and ORV is on my mind.
Kdj had the easiest way out of the 1863rd turn. The most perfect turn (at the time) but he really went I'd let the world burn for Yjh? Yeah, everything is "part of his plan" but let's talk about the 73rd Demon King arc. My man would do anything to make sure Yjh finishes his story. Apart from this, it's the fact that while everyone else dislike any other version of Yjh (even he hates himself lol), Kdj loves every. single. one. I mean 3rd turn (1864th) Yjh? Yes. Hsy's 1863rd turn? Yes. Frickin' Secretive Plotter? Got off to a rough start but yes. You simply cannot make Kdj hate his beloved protagonist. I mean, this man risked his whole existence to make sure the 0th turn is actually the most perfect one. He didn't want Yjh to regress but became his sponsor anyway because it's what Yjh wanted. He would do anything to see Yjh happy. This type of love isn't romantic or platonic or anything else, it's the most inexplicable form of love. Love in its purest form. I'd like to take the time to compare it to Achilles and Patroclus because while we can fight over whether these two were gay or not, we cannot deny the sheer love they had for each other. No strings attached. Kdj is in awe of Yjh.
Yjh. The regressor. The protagonist. The person Kdj loves the most. Yjh had everything (0th turn) but he really gave it all up just to meet Kdj. Suffered the "Hell of eternity" just to see him. Bro didn't even love Lsw the way he loves Kdj. Tbf, 0th turn Yjh didn't know what the real struggle of passing the scenarios without help was but I'm sure he got the gist. Okay, sure, you can call it "curiosity" that led to Yjh keeping Kdj alive during the 3rd (1864th) turn. But my guy didn't choose Kdj to go to Peace Land because he had "someone he loved" like bro, YJH!? THE COLD REGRESSOR??? HE DID THAT FOR KIM DOKJA! Not to mention the fact that Yjh didn't even care that his whole life was a mere novel. He just despised the fact that Kdj chose the 1863rd turn over him. I'm gonna cry. Bro wanted Kdj so bad that he kept fighting the Secretive Plotter. Not only this, he gave up the 3rd (1864th) turn for Kdj too. Went from Supreme King to terrorist just to save Kdj. When everyone else - even Hsy - gave up. After all, what is a protagonist without a reader? The whole astronaut ordeal might've been to "find his purpose" but we can't ignore their connection. He gave up everything he could ever ask for twice (0th and 3rd/1864th turn) for Kdj. The attachment these two have with each other is insane.
I could go on about them for eternity but we have another person to talk about - Hsy. This woman spent 10 years exhausted, stuck in a world-line and body not her own for one person. Even if it's only Hsy with half her memories, she gave up her perfect world-line because she missed Kdj. Just like Kdj loves Yjh, Hsy also loves every version of Kdj. She wanted to meet him, no matter what the world-line. My girl had only a few hours where she was in control and decided to use off all those hours to write TWSA - a story she herself disliked. Hsy wants to see Kdj happy, every part of Hsy loves Kdj. There is nothing a writer could love more than an avid reader who loves their story. And let's talk about the fact that Yjh and Hsy absolutely hate each other. He is literally her creation (more or less) but their relationship is questionable. Why? Because a protagonist has no value without a reader. Kinda like Asuka Ren and Kyrgios Rodgraim. They have no special relationship despite being creator and creation. Since there is no reader, Asuka and Kyrgios are as distant as two people can be. Alternatively, what brings Hsy and Yjh together is Kdj.
I just can't get enough of the way ORV relationships are written. If I had to describe love as a writer, I'd cite ORV as an example.

A romance with no romance - Sunday
Gender neutral reader, readers good friends with Robin here and they've had a big crush on Sunday, knowing he doesn't like them back. Angst lol, includes heavy spoilers from the most recent trailblazer quest (inspired by it tbh!)
--
You were a fellow singer, and you landed up meeting Robin and Sunday at the same time. It wasn't even related to your work, and at that point you were an upcoming vocalist. You didn't have a good time that day, your mentor seemingly disappointed that you couldn't find the confidence to wear an outfit too revealing to 'accentuate your voice'. Robin invited you to join the both of them, which you accept, and you start talking to the both of them.
Truth be told, Robin was such a lovely person to speak to. Free from the singing conversation, just talking as if you were just normal people. You didn't speak that much to Sunday, he seemed more reserved. It was when you saw him and Robin interacting that you foolishly fell in love. While he was embarrassed to say it out loud, you could feel how much he loved hearing Robin's performances. It made you want to strive to get an ounce of that attention, starved of positive attention in your pursuit for a successful career.
"Robin, I want to get better with my singing." You admit, Robin waiting for you to continue. "It feels like I'm trying everything I can, and I know I have some potential, but I'm so scared because nothing I do works."
Robin falls silent for a moment. She's smart enough to know that she is a very talented singer, but there's another factor that can be in play here.
Her influence from her brother.
Robin gives you an idea - ask out Sunday, and once he says yes you both will be out as a couple. You honestly didn't know what to think when she said it - was it really the fact you weren't being out there enough? Or surrounding yourself with the right people enough?
Regardless, you go ahead with the plan. Surprisingly, Sunday accepts. In any other scenario of this happening, you would be over the moon.
But you know Robin spoke to Sunday about the plan, and nobody was more important to Sunday than his sister. You weren't jealous of Robin, absolutely not, but you felt a twinge of guilt when Sunday accepted as you knew by the look in his eyes that you had some sort of feelings for him, and these feelings would never be returned.
He would hold your hand, tell people he loves you and you were like an obedient cat that would willingly curl up in his lap - leading to the inevitable 'thats so cute' reactions.
He did this publicly for months, but he wouldn't share any affection with you when it was you, him and Robin. He would always have Robin between the two of you, and you'd just hang out as you typically would before you became a 'happy' couple.
Fast forward to when Sunday had his downfall, you were suddenly in the spotlight for a strange reason - people were worried you were being used by Sunday as a pawn, as he would be projecting you out more than he did with his sister at times. When he got locked away, you got more popular. Your career was taking off!
But...you weren't happy. Neither you nor Robin were happy. Neither of you blame each other - you both know Sunday did those actions of his own discretion - but you silently thought to yourselves 'what if I did this differently '?
One night, you get visited by a strange figure. No features to identify by, you fear for good reason, and they give you a proposal.
"If you are willing to ensure your partner's punishment, Sunday will be set free." They state.
"...But how could I possibly help here? Even if I do that, isn't there a chance he gets caught and gets punished more?" You query.
"Sunday is a very capable man - he can survive." The cloaked figure replies.
"And what about outsiders? Won't they get suspicious when I disappear?" You tilt your head.
"That's a simple answer - people will pretend to care about your unfortunate disappearance, and then move on swiftly." The figure bluntly explains.
"...I'll do it. I'll take his place." You nod, the figure giggling before grasping you by the forearm. You lose consciousness, unable to stay awake.
--
When you next wake up, you're in a dark room. Thorns wrapped tightly around you, securing you as if you could run away. No windows, only a door in front of you somewhere, and even if you could get out of the room what was the chance of you getting caught?
Or of Sunday getting caught, as you were in here to essentially be a substitute.
Looking back at his way of describing you, you really begin to realise he felt hunted by you. As cute as his descriptions were, he described you as a cat as opposed to a songbird. He would talk about Robin as a songbird, perhaps he thought you were going after Robins career.
But it doesn't matter now. Your life as you knew it is now over. No career, no friends, pure solitude. The only thing you can truly yearn for is Robins wellbeing. You knew Sunday would be fine, and Robin would likely be fine, but you can't do anything more than what you have done already.

HII could you maybe write something for Berlin like HCs being in a relationship with him, maybe with connections to the new show or sm.
(Im actually so glad I found someone who writes for this fandom bc thereâs literally no one nearly đ)
Berlin - Relationship headcanons
Thank you for the request!! <3 I'm happy to see more LCDP fans here omg đ Hope ya like it! :)
Smut version can be found here
Pairing: Berlin/AndrĂ©s de Fonollosa x gn!reader Genre: Fluff, headcanons Warning(s): Spoilers for LCDP. Cuss words, Berlin being a bit possessive, reader uses they/them pronouns Words: 1145 Summary: Being in a relationship with Berlin would includeâŠÂ English is not my first language - lmk if there's any spelling mistakes so I can improve my writing! <3
Being in a relationship with this man would be a roller-coaster of emotionsâŠ
But you canât really complain!
People see him as âcold and self-centeredâ, which is partially true.
BUT when heâs in love, itâs like his whole personality changes.
You are his whole world, and he will do everything to put his ego aside, and show you just how loving he can be.
And boy, he succeedsâŠÂ
When he first saw you, it was love at first sight, or at least for him.
He would find out everything about you, what you like to eat, what hobbies you have, and the places you like to be at.
He would just wait for you to approach him first, but it wasnât that easyâŠ
After a while, he stopped being stubborn and started talking to you.
Berlin would make sure you fall for him, and that would be his biggest goal.
He would take you on extraordinary dates and totally spoil you.
He prefers calm private dates, but wouldnât mind going to a bar/nightclub if you like that.
Despite his sophisticated looks, he knows how to party. (That one scene in Berlin when heâs at the punk club LMAOO)
Seeing you hyped up makes him happy, so how can he not love partying with you?
The two of you having lazy mornings together. Berlin is a night owl, and getting him out of bed in the morning is a challenge.
Heâll also never let you leave bed. - âJust 5 more minutes, love! - âAre you gonna leave me, all cold and lonely in bed, huh?â
Berlin wouldnât give up his flirting until you fall in love with him.Â
Once that happens - he wonât shut up about you
Like, EVER.
He would drive Sergio and his other friends insane with how much he talks about you, telling them a bit too much about his love lifeâŠÂ
Berlin is the cheesiest guy youâll ever meet, tbh.
And he takes that as a compliment.
He would write you love letters, send good-morning AND goodnight messages to you, and bring you flowers every now and then.Â
Berlin is a man with many talents, and he loves impressing you, especially with his singing
Cheesy as it sounds, he even sings you serenades to express his love and devotion.
Youâd have to put up with his weird and impulsive ideas.
Whether itâs planning a spontaneous trip, a heist, etcâŠ
He needs someone to tell him to calm the hell down lol
As seen in the show, Berlin is very passionate and a bit unpredictable.
Being in a relationship is no exception.
Everyday with him is like an adventure, and he knows how to spice things up to not end up like a âboring coupleâ.Â
His goal would be making sure the honeymoon phase never ends.Â
He would make sure to tell you how amazing and good-looking you are EVERYDAY.Â
He is not afraid to argue with you, but would rather admit he is âwrongâ rather than have you be mad at him for too long.Â
Heâs not always good at reading your emotions and knows what youâre feeling, but tries to.Â
It breaks his heart to see you upset, and will try to make you feel better.Â
He can be rather possessive too. If someone stares at you for a bit too long, or flirt with you, heâs not afraid to show them that âyou are hisâ.
Heâs extra protective of you when you are around his friends. He wants to make sure you feel safe, and also that no one tries hitting on youâŠ
Especially if you are shy, heâd be very close to you, smile at you when you talk and laugh extra loud if you say something funny.Â
He makes sure your friends like him.Â
He wants to make a good impression on everyone, but especially when it is your friends and family.Â
Big fan of PDA. Heâs a man that is not afraid to kiss you in public, and he practically never lets go of your hand when youâre outdoors together.Â
When cuddling, he prefers being the big spoon.Â
One of Berlinâs love languages is touch.
He enjoys having his hand on your thigh, giving your shoulders soft massages, and forehead kisses. Heâs the type of guy to kiss your hands, too.
If you have long hair, he tends to fidget with it, running his fingers through it, stroking it away from your face and even braiding it.
Berlin definitely treats you like a god/goddess.Â
But the relationship would also be challenging from time to time.
Berlin being a criminal does bother you.
Your fear is for him to get caught and end up in jail.
Heâd have to reassure you a lot that he wonât get caught, promising you that he will be fine.
But donât worry, he makes sure to keep that promise.Â
His pet names for you: (My) love, honey, babeâŠÂ
His phone is full with pictures of you and youâre definitely both his home- and lock-screen.Â
He has lots of money, and spends them on you, whether you like it or not.Â
Berlin enjoys luxury and wants to give you a luxurious life.
His dream is to travel and see the world with you by his side.
If you donât speak Spanish, he would offer to teach it to you.Â
He is very overprotective and makes sure you keep a distance from his work.Â
But he does enjoy impressing you with dramatic stories about his heists.
During his most difficult and dangerous heists, he will think of you and keep on fighting so he can come back home to you.Â
When heâs away for a longer time, Berlin makes sure to text and call you with regular updates. But in all honesty, he just misses your voice.
Like I said earlier, he is an unpredictable man, and if someone is mean to you, yikes⊠- âJust drop it, AndrĂ©s!â âNo, babe⊠Iâll have a âchatâ with themâŠâ
Remember the throwback scene of Berlin and the man that made fun of his bow tie?Â
Letâs just say, whoever insulted you will return to you and apologize, trembling and crying from pain and fright. Â
âŠBerlin would just return to you with a smug smile, pretending like nothing happenedâŠÂ
And act all clueless when you confront him about it.Â
With you, Berlin is soft and passionate, but others view him as your âscary boyfriendâ, a title he accepts with pride.Â
To summarize⊠Despite Berlin's cold exterior, he is the complete opposite with you. He has so much love to give, and isnât scared to do so. He will make sure to worship you and make sure you feel loved. All he wants is to spend his time with you, and give you the passion, excitement and devotion you deserve. Being together with him is definitely not boring.
I have such hate-love relationship to Berlin bruh đ AndrĂ©s in Berlin >>>>>>> LCDP

I enjoyed the Despair Time x Eden's Garden speculations so much that I request something similar. Despair Time x Tetro Pink!
You know, I was kinda hoping someone would ask me for this, because there's a few pairs of characters I really wanna talk about lol. Anyways, let's go, DRDT x Tetro crossover!
Spoilers for DRDT CH2, TDRP CH4. CW: Murder, suicide, drugging (adrenaline), execution, bullying, gaslighting, psychological warfare, Arturo Giles, (implied) eating disorders, stabbing, medical care.
The Setting
I'll focus on the killing game side for this one, btw.
Though, that does bring up a few questions, no? With EG, the setting was similar enough to DRDT's that a vague merge of the universes worked well enough just by changing a few names around, and leaving the details as an exercise for the reader. However, there are some discrepancies between the TDRP killing game and the DRDT one which are harder to reconcile. So I'm going to quickly go into a bit more detail about what the setting looks like, so no one don't get confused.
TDRP takes place in Japan, DRDT is set in the US. That immediately creates a language and cultural barrier between a lot of the characters. For this, we're gonna say that it takes place in a weird merge of the two countries that was somehow a result of the Tragedy (and yes that did happen because DRDT lore; we're doing a future setting for this one), to get around the issue. The details of how that works are left up to reader imagination.
In Tetro, no one knows what an Ultimate is. But I can't exactly take that out of the picture without destroying things like Min's entire backstory. So we'll say that Hope's Peak exists and everyone knows what an Ultimate is. However, the DRDT cast went into the killing game knowing they were invited to Hope's Peak, while the Tetro cast is a year younger and would have been the sixteen people invited to Hope's Peak the year after DRDT's cast got the invite. That way, everyone from DRDT comes in with the knowledge they're an Ultimate, but the Tetro cast has to learn that they would have been their underclassmen.
Confession Game still happens before the first murder attempt, and everyone does in fact reveal their secrets. A few of them would have to be reworded, since there's secrets that can apply to multiple people, and there needs to be some way for Charles to know that his secret is in fact his (something like "Your older brother, Elliot Cuevas, died, but you don't remember him at all" would do, even though Oka would complain about unfairness).
There's probably more that should be addressed but I can't think of anything too big rn :v
MonoTV & Monomoko & TDRP Researchers
Let's put ourselves in Monomoko's shoes here. You're a rabbit mastermind of a killing game. You are trying your damn hardest to be professional about it, informing the students about motives and facilities and stuff. You are trying to maintain a sort of detached, almost robotic persona, not letting yourself show too much emotion in front of the students.
And then there's this fuckass cat-dog thing that's cracking puns, being openly excited about the killing game, getting riled up quickly, and being woefully incompetent at everything.
And then it turns out that you start getting complicated feelings about the entire killing game situation, and meanwhile this damn AI doesn't feel the same way, because it's an AI and doesn't feel, so you're even more alone than if you just didn't have a partner.
Yeah I think Monomoko would really dislike MonoTV quite a bit, even though it would try not to show it. MonoTV is oblivious to this and mostly ignores the other mascot.
For theri part, I have no idea how the researchers would be able to put up with MonoTV, really. Like, if they have issues with how The Rabbit runs things, then MonoTV's general bullshittery would probably drive them up the wall. However, MonoTV, being explicitly AI and all, would be easier to directly control than Monomoko, so I can see a world where they get annoyed enough to change its personality to something that's a bit easier to manage. There's definitely some potential for mascot related drama if Monomoko sees MonoTV's personality being completely overhauled on a whim, especially if it ever gets to see how DefaultTV (the personality driver that takes over in 2-16) acts. Like, even if it doesn't like the guy, that's kind of a scary thought.
Still, given there's a lot of exploration of Monomoko's character left, and the fact I haven't read Staffside so the intricacies of the researchers are lost on me, I'll leave the weird mascot and mastermind drama here.
Hu & Sasaki
I think Sasaki would still try to take a leadership role, even with how many more people we have this time, and the fact half of them would be a year older. However, Hu, wanting to feel depended on, would probably offer to help in any way she can. At least at the start, Sasaki would basically try to tell everyone what to do and Hu would try to enforce her orders.
Hu & Hiroaki
This little setup with Sasaki ends up with Hu beefing heavy with Hiroaki, because of course she would. Sasaki was already irritated by the guy, Hu would also dislike his confrontational nature a lot. Of course, Hiroaki wouldn't be the only one resistant to follow around Sasaki's orders (Ace, Charles, Teruko post-CH1), but he would be the most confrontational, so.
Nico & Harada
I mean, come on. Harada has a tiger. He's going to immediately become Nico's best friend. Nico would obviously love hanging out with Sawa a lot, thus becoming entrenched in the Hama - Chiba - Harada friend group. Their past of being bullied would actually make Harada feel very bad, since he used to be a bully himself, but I doubt the Zoologist would ever bring it up umprompted, so.
Arturo & Chiba
Get ready for Arturo to be even weirder than in canon, because he absolutely would consider Chiba a "beautiful person", given her fame. He'd obviously try to suck up to her a lot, which is seen as weird by anyone with eyes and ears. Hama would probably have to intervene, and he becomes the number one defender of anyone Arturo bothers (which includes J post-secret reveal, and I could also see Isono and Tamba and Hiroaki and Hasegawa falling in the "beautiful people" designation). There's a non-zero chance Arturo chills out a bit after Confession Game, but it's more likely that he'd end up getting punched in the face by Yanagi before that happens.
Xander & Tsuno
Each other's biggest fans. Xander really fucks with the Superhero shtick, Tsuno loves Xander's Rebel attitude. Combined with their respective famous friends David and Isono, you have a pretty fun and upbeat and positive group, where everyone is totally mentally stable! Well, mentally stable if you ignore Xander's survivor guilt and murder attempt and Tsuno's inevitable burnout when she has to deal with double the injuries (more on that later) and Isono's agoraphobia and David's... Davidness, anyways.
Rose & Sasaki & Ojima
Rose and Ojima wouldn't have much of a reason to interact, until the first motive gets announced. Because "No Sleeping" already brought up issues for Wada and Kamimura in canon Tetro, but it would destroy the more or less narcoleptic Rose. Knowing that, our great leader Sasaki would make it a priority to figure out a way around this. What Rose comes up with is painting; we don't know this for sure, but it's very likely that Rose doesn't tend to doze off when she's painting, or at least there's never been mention of it. So, she ends up doing painting sessions while Ojima illustrates. It's a very quiet affair, unless Hiroaki is there to provide background noise. They probably continue doing these sessions even after the first motive is over.
Teruko & Xander & Tamba & Hayashi
You know how Teruko's favorite color is "red by association"? And you know how some theories say that's not because of Xander, but because of Mai Akasaki? Yeah. Teruko seems to be a somewhat nostalgic person, so I think it makes sense to think she'd get attached quickly to a red haired girl named Mai. As a result, Xander and Tamba get dragged into this little friend group. The dynamic of the high energy Xander and Tamba, combined with the more subdued but still willing to get into some silly antics Teruko, and the ultimate voice of reason Hayashi, would be pretty fun to see.
Until Confession Game happens.
-----
Confession Game
So far, I've talked about dynamics before the Confession Game. However, said game would probably change a lot of things amongst the cast.
To clear up the timeline here: the motive gets announced, then Confession Game happens, then Xander does his thing (more on that in a bit) and the first motive ends before the second game can even start. So, what secrets would cause the biggest ruckus?
Min & Tamba
Solidarity amongst competitive girls who seriously harmed their competitors! I don't think they'd really talk about it much, but they certainly would think about it whenever they're in the other's presence.
Wada
There's nothing too big about his secret, but something that's funny is that Teruko might mess up and claim this one. Like, the way it's phrased, I'm pretty sure the secret does in fact apply to her, so she might press the button thinking it's hers when it isn't. I imagine the mascots would let it go and set up some kind of workaround so it doesn't happen again, as there's actually a few other secrets that could very well be Teruko's and aren't.
Hu & Kamimura
Very similar secrets, so it's gonna come up. I feel like Hu would approach Kamimura to see if he wanted to ever talk about it, and then fully respect when he inevitably says no. After all, she feels the exact same way.
Eden & Nico
The moment Eden's secret is spoken, I think a decent chunk of the casts might come out in support to try and encourage her. I definitely see Watari starting it, with people like Whit and maybe Veronika following along. Eden would probably be very embarrassed by the time she pushes the button, but she would appreciate the sentiment, at least.
Nico is in a similar situation, where people would try to encourage them by saying that they'll accept them no matter what aspect of their identity the secret actually references (if you remember the wording, it's a it vague about it). Okazaki could even reveal she goes by any pronouns if she figures out it means the student referenced in the secret is trans specifically, but I don't think she would. Nico would feel similarly to Eden and ask everyone to move on immediately after pushing the button.
Xander & Tsuno
(Btw, as always, I'm assuming Xander's secret is the survivor's guilt one and Teruko's is the "killing game is all your fault" one)
I'm bringing these two up because I feel like David would probably bring out the Inspirational Speaker for these two, and both of them would appreciate it (Xander might even fanboy a little).
Levi & Hayashi
Other than Ace freaking out over Hayashi's secret, I don't think the DRDT cast would add too much to that secret reveal. However, that's partly because it'd have to be reworded to "this student has killed one person in the past." After all, the original wording would also apply to Levi.
On the other hand, Levi's own secret would have to be rephrased to something like "this student has killed four people, and they hold no remorse" to differentiate it from Hayashi's. And since everyone else is pushing the button, I could see Levi imitating them and hitting it without much hesitation, bringing up a few questions. If he actually explains the whole deal, I imagine most people would start avoiding him, but a few of the nicer ones might try to stick by him. Particularly Harada, actually, since he used to be a delinquent himself (even if he never actually killed anyone but you get the point).
Ace & Chiba
Another set of similar secrets, but this one would probably go by without fanfare. They would never bring it up probably.
J
You know how Hiroaki reacted when he found out that Hasegawa was filthy rich? Yeah, he'd probably have a similar reaction to knowing J is a Rosales. She'd promptly tell him to fuck off, but y'know.
Arei & Watari
Not exactly the same situation (destroy sisters lives vs cause a divorce), but the fact they're both decently unrepentant about it would probably end up with them maybe bonding after the Confession Game. Watari has been known to hang around people even after she finds out they've done pretty questionable stuff, and Arei would probably just respect Watari's Girlboss behavior, so I can see them becoming besties.
David
There's a lot of ways that this early of a reveal could play out, but remember what I said about David doing the inspiring thing for Xander and Tsuno? I think they'd return the favor by doubting this claim.
Every other secret is relatively objective, but David's is pretty much entirely subjective, so they'd argue that the masterminds might have it wrong. This little amount of support might be enough for David to keep up his act. Especially since he wouldn't benefit from dropping the persona here at all, unlike in DRDT CH2 where he tried to throw the trial by having that reveal. A lot of people wouldn't trust him again after that, but David would probably keep a few friends. I'd argue that the people who wouldn't lose trust in him include Xander, Eden, Levi (keep in mind this guy still thought David was a good person after 2-11 and 2-12), Whit (dubious on that one), Tsuno, Isono (used to people misrepresenting celebrities), Harada, and Chiba, possibly more.
Teruko
Similar to David, she'd have to come up with some explanation for why "the killing game is all your fault" isn't actually as bad as it sounds. She would probably try to argue that the game is her fault because of her luck, and not because she genuinely wanted it to happen. I think a fair amount of people would stop talking to her altogether after the secret reveal, but her arguments might convince some people. I'll argue it would immediately convince Eden, Hu, Levi (see the reasoning in the David secret section), Min (maybe), Whit (perhaps), J (possibly), Tsuno, Isono (see David reasoning), Chiba, Hama (unconditionally believes the luck thing), Watari, Yanagi, and maybe others.
-----
Alright we're done with Confession Game. Now for some extra happenings!
Xander & Teruko & Hayashi
Like I said in my DRDT x P:EG post, Xander's murder attempt is a little too important for DRDT lore for it not to happen. Also like in that post, I don't know who'd actually kill Xander, but it would happen. However, given I'm saying this happens post-Teruko secret reveal, it's possible some people would be on Xander's side and say that maybe he had the right idea attacking Teruko, given "the killing game is all her fault" and stuff, so the trial might play out a bit differently than in DRDT CH1.
That said, I think Hayashi would put an end to that idea, claiming that Xander tried to kill with incomplete information and that's generally inadvisable, which she'd know as a Bounty Hunter herself. It'd be a nice moment in the first trial, but I don't think Teruko would properly thank her, given that by that point she'd already be starting her "screw everyone else" arc. Still, once Teruko starts swinging back around, they'd probably go back to being friends.
Nico & Hu & Yanagi
With the adrenaline motive, Nicoâs attempted murder is extremely likely. If they donât succeed, then much like the Tetro cast did with Yanagi after Ice Fairy, theyâd decide to lock Nico up. I'm imagining Ice Fairy still happens, but with Arturo replacing Hiroaki probably, because of the stuff mentioned before. Keep in mind rewards never got swapped, since the first murder happened before that could go through, meaning the inciting incident for Yanagi really snapping at Hiro (Hiro reading Sasaki's journals) wouldn't happen.
In any case, theyâd lock Nico up alongside Yanagi. Hu, obviously, protests the decision a lot, and would probably choose to stay alongside Nico and Yanagi for their imprisonment. Mostly for Nico, but yâknow.
Funnily enough, this would force Yanagi and Hu to interact, and I think thatâd be an interesting dynamic to see. Both of them have some kind of savior complex, so I could see Yanagiâs whole "I will protect women forever" shtick grating Huâs nerves a lot. She wants to be depended on, not the one that needs someone elseâs help. Cut to Nico, who is also bothered by Huâs defense of them, and shit would get volatile, fast. Also thereâs a guard here, and theyâd really rather be anywhere else while those three discuss this shit.
Ace & Hama
Given the fact both Hayashi and Levi would be outed as killers during Confession Game, Ace would probably choose to stick to Hama to feel safe. However, itâs very possible that Hama would turn on Ace once he starts bullying Nico, which is especially likely if the adrenaline motive happens. Because of that, Ace would probably crash out similarly to what he did in DRDT, and I imagine heâd be the second chapter killer. Chibaâs still the victim, though, because Ace would pick the physically weakest one, and (subconsciously) would want Hama to hate him so he has a reason to hate him back. Basically the Levi-Ace thing from 2-16 would be more Ace-Hama here.
David's Heel Turn
I'll say that David still has his CH2 crashout here. Under my current interpretations, David's magical girl transformation is motivated by a combination of Xander wanting to kill Teruko and win a class trial, David learning Teruko's secret, David having his own secret revealed, and the "reveal" being beneficial to throw the class trial. While Xander's death would still be too fresh during the first trial for David to fully process the implications of Xander trying to hide evidence of his attack on Teruko (eg framing Charles), by the second trial he'd realize what was going on. At that point, he just needs an opportunity to frame himself to meet the conditions and engage bed hair mode, so it'd probably happen.
We already know some of the people most affected by this on the DRDT side, like Hu. Meanwhile, on the Tetro side, I think all his speeches about how people never change and stuff would hit quite a few of them pretty hard. Depending on how seriously they take him, I could see Tsuno, Harada, Wada, Tamba, and maybe Yanagi and Hiroaki taking it pretty badly. It depends a lot on whether David decides to go for their insecurities and pasts to piss people off. But he might, and that would certainly cause some outrage. David would become an outcast after this, obviously, but I doubt they'd try to lock him up or anything. At worst he's just an asshole, and even that is more a persona than anything else.
Arturo & Tsuno
Hey, the two doctors! Theyâd both be stuck to the infirmary after shit starts going down with the adrenaline motive and all, not to mention Teruko's CH1 stab wound. It would become pretty apparent pretty quickly that Arturoâs not actually that much better than Tsuno at medicine, so heâd try to get out of it. However, since Tsuno would burn out very quickly being the only doctor to thirty students, some people would âpolitely requestâ that Arturo help her anyways. You take that as you will.
Tsuno would be probably pretty good for Arturo, since she may be able to get him to open up and chill out a bit. After all, sheâs Tsuno. And the reduced workload would do wonders for Tsuno, too.
Especially because of everything else that would be happening to her at this time.
Veronika & Okazaki
Finally, I get to talk about these two. Because this is a crossover for the ages! These two would be unstoppable together, and theyâd be so incredibly iconic.Â
Okazaki is by far the most obviously insane person in the entire cast, even more so than Arturo, so Veronika would latch to her even harder than she latched to Arturo in canon. Especially after Confession Game, because they could bond over the fact that their secrets arenât the worst thing theyâve done*. Veronika would bring it up during her turn, and Okazaki would confirm the same applies to her during her turn, even if her full secret still gets cut off.
*Itâs worth noting Okazaki never claimed this. However, I donât think itâs a stretch to assume that the self-proclaimed supervillain has done something worse than performing unlicensed gender affirming surgery at some point in her life.Â
And they really would become besties. Oka is weird enough that she can easily match Veroâs freak, and Vero is always glad to match someone elseâs freak. Veronika would probably be part of the School Staff alongside Watari and Oka (and maybe others like Sasaki and Min if they get invited and accept), just to spend more time with Oka. Sheâd be the counselor, naturally, with her psychoanalysis, which would certainly lead to some fun scenes.
Veronikaâs fascination only grows in the second trial. Assuming Okazaki still does something to Wada during that investigation, Veronikaâs whole âthe more irredeemable you become, Iâll only love you moreâ speech would be aimed at Oka, and sheâd be much more receptive to the attention than Arturo.
Once they get some time alone after the trial, and now that Okazaki knows Veronika cares about nothing but entertainment, she might just reveal the whole âPhantom Thief of Nagoyaâ thing to the Horror Fanatic. And Veronika would love that! A self-proclaimed supervillain beefing with a self-proclaimed superhero who is just two rooms over? That shit sounds like prime time entertainment in her books. Okazaki would offer Veronika a position as a sidekick, and Vero would accept readily.Â
This is naturally the worst case scenario for Tsuno and anyone she associates with. Veronika would probably try to use her knowledge of psychology and maybe even horror tropes to torture Tsuno and her friends as much as possible, with Okazaki masterminding several traumatizing operations against them. If called out, they would both cover for each other, trying to gaslight the cast at large into thinking theyâre perfectly innocent.Â
Which gets us to Trial 3, and whether or not Okazaki would still kill. Veronika might try to talk her out of it to extend the amount of time she can enjoy Okaâs company, but Iâll say that Okazaki would still choose this time to kill. Seeing as she canât be convinced, Veronika would obviously switch to playing accomplice. Gotta enjoy being a villain sidekick to the fullest, yeah?
Kamimura would still probably be on the chopping block because his conditions are part of the murder method, but I think Vero would try to get Wada killed instead of Tsuno, just to really maximize the drama at the trial, yâknow? I can imagine her finding Tsuno more interesting than Wada anyways, so. Also Iâm biased and want Tsuno to live so.
And holy hell what a trial that would be. If Okazakiâs crashout was already iconic on its own, adding in Veronika leaning into the sidekick role while sheâs at it would be the craziest shit youâve ever seen. Just complete mayhem: Watari and Eden are crying, Tsuno is yelling, Hasegawa is constantly two seconds away from punching one of the two, Isono isnât too far herself, David would be somewhere between impressed at the Audacity of having a bigger crashout than him and also pissed off that theyâre dragging things out, Teruko and Sasaki and Min start yelling for the vote to just fucking happen already with everyone else joining in, Charles is firmly looking away from the blood all over Okazaki and Whit is trying to comfort him to avoid the Situation, Harada is trying to comfort Sawa with Nicoâs help because even the tiger knows shitâs going down, even J and fucking Arturo are agreeing with each other about how horrendously insane those two areâŠ
It would be beautiful, and then it would be over. Veronika and Okazaki share one last moment of âwholesomeâ supervillain and sidekick dialogue, cue âIâll follow your flameâ line to Watari, and Okazaki gets executed.Â
Veronika gets chained to a bed after this. So many people want her dead that thereâs a very high chance sheâd be the fourth chapter victim, but oh well. It was entertaining while it lasted. I donât know who the killer would be, though, since we still havenât gotten the CH4 Tetro motive as of writing this. That means weâve officially ran through all the killing game events Iâll write for this AU. Now itâs time for straight up dynamics!
⊠Btw is it obvious what my favorite Tetro character is? It might be, idk.
Charles & Hiroaki
Hiroaki acts a bit more like Ace in the beginning, but in a lot of aspects heâs a bit closer to Charlesâ attitude. Especially given their shared distaste of blood (even if Charlesâ is more extreme), I could see the two of them having a few meaningful conversations. Charles would probably say similar things to Hiroaki to what he told Teruko in 2-3, and given Aceâs death in particular would be a wake-up call for the guy, I could see Charles helping Hiroaki through a similar arc to what the Designer has in canon.
Levi & Hiroaki
Fashion talents would bring the two together in the beginning, even if only Levi knows heâs an Ultimate at that point. However, Leviâs secret in Confession Game would probably drive them apart.
Min & Sasaki
Despite the Confession Game, come on. Student talents. Theyâd be besties. Min would fully support Sasakiâs leadership, and would be perfectly willing to help her with anything she needs. I also like to think that Min would help Sasaki keep a more healthy amount of responsibilities than she tried to keep in canon Tetro, maybe. Look Xander may help get Sasaki past the first motive but I still want my girlie to stay sane through adrenaline you feel?
Whit & Watari
The jokes are off the charts. The silliness levels are critical. Immediate besties. Whitâs invited to all the sleepovers, and probably to school staff as well. Whit would get really into it and try to recruit Charles as a Chemistry teacher, only to be repeatedly shot down.
Eden & Isono
Didnât mention it before, but Eden would probably form part of the Wada Support Squad with Isono and Tsuno, because Wada and because Eden. That means her and Isono would inevitably end up as besties, because theyâre both just so nice. We always love when someone can match Edenâs wholesomeness, because God knows that ainât happening in the DRDT cast (/lovingly).Â
J & Yanagi
Another one who I donât think would take Yanagiâs attitude very nicely. Yanagiâs not as bad as Arturo, sure, but that barâs kinda on the floor. J would probably just avoid him, I think.
Veronika & Hasegawa
Funnily enough, Hasegawa is the one guy who actually goes to the âcounselorâ in canon Tetro, even if he doesnât do it by choice. So there may be a few interesting interactions there. However, Vero helping in Kamimuraâs murder would obviously make Hasegawa hate her, and the fact sheâd probably just continue to rile him up after that wouldnât help. The cast probably needs to find some way to get the two to stay apart, itâs just not sustainable otherwise.
Arei & Watari & Tamba & Yanagi
You know how I established Arei would be besties with Watari after Confession Game? Well, all that means is that sheâd definitely join the Princess Watari and Princess Tamba scene. And so, Princess Nageishi was born.Â
Teruko & Eden & Tsuno & Isono
Hey so you know the Wada Support Squad? Well, turns out, thereâs another student that has had a really rough life and could use some cheering up! It probably wouldnât happen in CH1 while theyâre still kinda reeling from Terukoâs secret in Confession Game, but theyâd definitely get their game on during CH2. Teruko would not be receptive to it, but she canât really escape it when Tsuno keeps insisting on checking over her stab wound, with the other two in the room no less. It would certainly take a while, but after Teruko starts her âletâs start trusting people againâ arc, sheâd be a lot happier just kinda hanging out with them.Â
Levi & Hayashi
I brought them up together in Confession Game, but itâs true that Hayashi might be one of the only people around whoâd still feel pretty comfortable with Levi in the room after the secret reveal. Even the DRDT cast members who would still be okay with him in canon might struggle, since the secret got revealed so early. Hayashi would probably try her best to understand his situation, and would help him and the rest of the cast slowly work on their relationship.
J & Hasegawa & Kamimura
Hase and Kami would still be way closer to one another than to anyone else in the cast, because their relationship is largely based on the idea that theyâre two of the people with the most common sense, and thatâs not exactly a prevalent virtue in the DRDT cast (/affectionate). The exception is J, who actually has a good amount of similarities with Kamimura. I could see her sorta third wheeling them, though in not as awkward a way as the term usually implies. J would also be very vocal in hating Oka and Vero post CH3, and would be the one who tries the hardest to comfort Hase after the trial.Â
Rose & Hiroaki
Assuming Rose continues painting alongside Ojima after the first motive ends, sheâd end up talking to Hiroaki quite a bit. Sheâd probably explain her secret to the two, and theyâd both be pretty sad about it. Hiroaki would probably try some of his usual tsundere tricks to cheer her up, while Ojima would just cheer her up like a normal person, and she'd appreaciate both of them. Theyâre also two of the most vocal people about Rose never looking at crime scenes or executions to get around the whole photographic memory issue.
David & Ojima
I could see Ojima looking at David post CH2 and deciding on a similar âI can fix himâ path of action as he did with Hiroaki in canon, but Iâm not sure how successful heâd be at getting David to cooperate in the slightest. Iâd say that how this goes depends a lot on Davidâs characterization post canon CH2, but we currently donât have that so.
-
Alright. Look, like with the P:EG x DRD post, I could probably keep going forever, because all 32 characters are fun and so there are endless options of cool dynamics to explore. However, Iâll leave it at this. Hope itâs enough! Thanks for the ask!

Indigo Park Spoilers (and very long post) ahead
Since Indigo Park is the newest fandom I've been dipping into, I figured I might as well make my own analysis for the game. The question I'll be discussing today is,
WHAT EVEN ARE THESE THINGS?
(sry for bad picture quality lol)
The thing I find interesting about these mascots (Molly, Lloyd, and what we've seen of Finley) that kind of sets them apart from other monsters in the mascot horror genre is...they almost seem like they're just animals. (I'll go over evidence for this in this post)
Think about it. In other mascot horror games, we've gotten:
animatronics possessed by dead children
employees/kids surgically(?) turned into toys
people mutated by a giant ink machine
animals/people who have had their DNA spliced with a mutagenic chemical
A little girl somehow turned into a monster (I think??)(really sorry Amanda I don't know what you are)
etc.
(I'm not up to date on all these properties and I know there's many more, so forgive me if my lore understanding is less than adequate. you know how it is with indie horror)
The important note about all these is that for the most part, these mascots are intelligent, or at least have the capability of intelligence. Almost everything on this list was at one point human, in fact.
So why do I think Indigo Park is any different? What leads me to believe they aren't intelligent? (at least, the animal versions of the characters that we run from in the game. Whether they are separate from the versions of the characters Rambley interacts with is something I'll touch on later)
I think the most obvious piece of evidence in regards to Molly and Lloyd (again, not much info on Finley yet) is how Lloyd acts. He doesn't talk at all, he just stalks the main character and attacks like an animal might (with the exception of a couple times he stands on two legs or props himself up here and there).
As for Molly, I hear you saying, "But she talks! We hear her speak!" And yes, dear reader, you are right. Molly does speak. This would disprove my argument of the mascots being purely animalistic, if it weren't for this kill screen.
Now, do we ever actually hear Molly say something that isn't a repetition or couldn't reasonably be a repetition? Has she said anything to prove her intelligence at all? (genuine question here because I haven't examined every one of her voice lines lol. If I'm wrong about this then whoopsie!)
Despite the past 250 words of speculation, though, whether they act just like animals isn't actually that important. We'll see more of them in later chapters anyway (or Lloyd and Finley at least) so that will likely prove or disprove this point with time.
The more interesting question is, what are they? Like, physically?
When Molly dies, we clearly see blood around her decapitated head. At the very least that rules out animatronics or something mechanical. In addition, in the audio of the hidden tape you get when you show Rambley one of the collectables, you can hear two staff members complaining about being replaced by "new mascots" right after they "got a new raccoon costume." This could mean a few different things, but it seems to imply that the mascots we see in this chapter are meant to be replacements for actors in suits (for meet and greets, promotion, shows, etc) and/or replacements for limited, expensive, and cumbersome animatronics. If this is true, we can also probably rule out them being human. Unless Indigo Park also had a secret human experimentation lab, which I wouldn't put past them.
I think it's too early to definitively state what these mascots are, but based on the evidence of above, I have a theory.
My personal theory is that these mascots are just animals who have been changed or mutated in some way to allow the park to have more "realistic" representations of the characters (also probably to cut down on the costs of paying a human employee). That would explain why they act the way they do and why they are so violent. They literally are just wild animals who have been warped to represent these cartoon characters.
Another important caveat to this theory is that, if this is true, then the mascots who attack us in the game are most likely NOT Rambley's "friends" as he knows them. That would explain why he doesn't call attention to Molly chasing us or Molly's dead body (with the exception of one very small reaction when he talks about the mascots). You would expect him to seem a little more upset if he thought that was his friend, but maybe on some level he knows it's not really her, just a representation of her.
That brings up another question, which is a can of worms I won't fully open here: Do Molly, Lloyd, and Finley have sentient "AI" equivalents like Rambley? If not, does Rambley know his friends aren't real? I'll let you decide.
Anyway, that just about closes my thoughts on this silly raccoon game. Thanks for letting me ramble on about it, and thanks for making it to the end of the post!
Lemme know about your own theories in regards to what these things are, or if there's any key evidence I missed. Kinda threw this together lol. Most of it will likely get disproven by future chapters but hey, thus is the price of theorizing ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ

It's morning, and I'm still in bed, having pre-coffee thinky thoughts. Mainly about Veilguard lol.
I'm thinking about why I haven't talked about Solavellan in datv much yet. This blog has become an almost exclusively Lucanis Dellamorte blog these past few months đ. But, I've been obsessed with Solavellan for 10 years. They are my otp. Soooo what's going on?
Under the cut because length and SPOILERS.
1. I genuinely haven't fully processed the Solavellan ending yet. I've done it twice and I sobbed both times and it hurts SO GOOD. But I still feel like I haven't let it get all the way in yet. I'm keeping it at arm's length just a little bit because... Ow.
2. I'm mad at Solas. We see him at his worst in datv. It's been a decade of solitude and desperation and he is wearing that Fen'Harel mask non-stop. He's lost sight of himself (if he ever had a good grip on the concept in modern times). And... I didn't really understand just how much I loved Varric until this game. Because, now I can't see fanart of him without tearing up. I can't play datv without crying over him. And while that also hurts SO GOOD (and I love tragedies), I also cannot forgive Solas for killing Varric and then LYING about it and USING Varric's memory against Rook. Like... I have a lot to unpack there but it feels unforgivable to me.
3. But, how I feel and how Riallan Lavellan feels are two different things. She loves him still, after everything. Not to say they won't have some very big serious talks in the Fade and that she isn't mad at him, but she ultimately does forgive him. And, so there's a gap between me and Ria at the moment that's going to take time for me to process before I can start writing them again (I very much want to write them again).
4. I love my Rook, Embria Aldwir. Like, so so much. And I LOVE Riallan, but she's much more removed from me and my personality than Embria is. When I play DA games for the very first time I usually play as/for myself, then make a second character to RP and actually establish my canon. But... in datv, Embria hit all the right boxes and notes. My first run felt like canon and I have latched onto this girly harder than ANY of my previous DA ocs. I can't wait to explore in fic how Embria and Riallan's paths cross and what their relationship becomes, but I'm not there yet. I'm still cooking.
4. My biggest reason for not yapping more about Solavellan is that... The fandom around Solas has become incredibly toxic and almost... Invasive. Like, I love him and love seeing gorgeous art of him and Lavellan, but also... The takes are frequently bad and the body swap mods are getting egregious (like c'mon, he would not do that and you know it). I know this is a personal squick, but for me, anything that feels that disingenuous to the character is a complete turn off. Seeing him do things he would. not. do. makes me wonder if people even actually like him? Or just some weird version they've cooked up in their mind these past 10 years. Idk, I'm just seeing a lot of stuff in Solavellan spaces that is actually making me like Solas less, because of how fans treat him AND other fans. Which... Sucks. So, I'm trying to preserve MY Solavellan, my beloved, tender, tragic otp, and to do that I can't really participate in fandom about them. At least, not right now when everything is fresh and feverish.
So, yeah. That's where my head is at re: Solavellan. I love them. I just have a lot of complicated feelings about them right now. So I'm gonna keep playing and learning with Lucanis and Embria. Don't be surprised if I come out of nowhere with a giant fic involving all of them in like, five years (I didn't start writing Solavellan until 2019, even though I shipped them right after DAI released).
And, if you made it this far and also enjoy tender, tragic Solavellan, I have a fic to give you:
Inevitable
It's complete, and follows Riallan and Solas from the very beginning, to just after Trespasser. Canon-compliant, in-between moments with eventual smut.
It is the fic of my heart. I spent the better part of four years writing it and sobbed when it was done. Please read it if it sounds like your jam.
And of course, it comes with a playlist. Enjoy!

rings of power (belated reactions) season 1: eps 1-4
Backstory: I'm a casual Tolkien fan, I would say -- grew up watching the animated movies (literally knew the songs by heart as a kid); read LOTR & the Hobbit but not the Silm; loved both the LOTR and the Hobbit movies. Read a bunch of fanfiction over the years by people who know a lot more about the lore than I do.
I tried watching the new series when the first season came out, but still felt like the pacing was really slow by the end of the second episode, so never got around to watching more.
Found out about the twist at the end of s1 and was intrigued, but not quite enough to give it another watch. Heard more bits and bobs about s2 when it came out, with people who share some of the same tastes in media as me enjoying it (shoutout to @markantonys). Liked and reblogged some interesting giftsets. Finally decided to give it another try.
Below contains vague spoilers for the whole show so far and for LotR
I went ahead and rewatched the first two episodes, and I found myself getting a lot more out of it this time than the first time. I remembered liking the dwarves a lot, and still really enjoyed that plotline, but I was able to get into the other plotlines a lot more as well this time. I actually do feel like I get what the pacing is doing now, even if it didn't work as well for me the first time around -- we start with the single thread of Galadriel's search for Sauron and then keep expanding outward from there, introducing the other important plotlines gradually. It was, perhaps, slightly too gradual for me in my first try at watching!
I've seen through episode four now and am thoroughly enjoying the show, enough that I plan to watch more of it with my mom later today.
Things really do pick up with increasing speed after episode 2. We also get some amazing costuming in NĂșmenor -- the queen in particular has some great outfits, but I also really love the banded dress that Galadriel wears there.
My mom (unspoiled about the show) is fully willing to go with the theory that Adar is Sauron going by another name (as proposed by Arondir's (now deceased) guard-captain).
Now, unlike my mom, I am spoiled about the show and so I am watching Halbrand very carefully. One thing that I do find interesting is that the show starts out with Galadriel narrating that nothing begins as evil, so I do feel like that feeling is meant to extend to Halbrand/Sauron as well. Which is to say, I give him the benefit of the doubt that he actually does want to stay in NĂșmenor and start a new life (whether or not he could actually stick to that once he'd spent several years there... that's more of an open question). I don't think his plan at this time is to return to Middle-Earth and set up shop there.
Both Nori and Galadriel have talked about feeling like there is something important about sticking with their mysterious respective stranger. Both of whom are Maiar (Maia? I did mention that I'm mostly a casual fan of Tolkien, lol). They both just give off the vibe of being important and consequential... to specific people. Not to everyone that they run across.
I really like what they're doing with Halbrand -- they are definitely leaning on his superficial (and false) similarities to Aragorn in LotR and, especially when he was in the prison cell, there were some moments when he really looked like Viggo too. I feel like I've already seen a lot of range from him as a character -- we've seen him being persuasive and diplomatic; we've seen a brutal flash of temper and violence; and we've seen him give Galadriel advice on how to manipulate people; we've also seen him teasing and bantering with Galadriel (very much enjoying their dynamic in these episodes).
Speaking of Galadriel, I am enjoying her a lot. She doesn't stop! Willpower and determination just always constantly turned to a thousand. She decides what's going to happen and then doesn't let anything stand in her way.
I'm glad that we got back to Elrond's storyline in the fourth episode and caught up with Durin and the dwarves. I did spend a lot of time trying to remember if Moria and Khazad-dûm were the same place (yes) and so that means that it may well be these unsafe mithril mining practices that lead to the Balrog waking up and the mountain being abandoned by the dwarves. I don't know the timelines well enough to know for sure. It made sense to me that it was the same place, because of the elf word for 'friend' being the word to open the gates into Moria in LotR.
Though I am fairly well spoiled about certain things about Sauron, I am still missing a lot of the connective tissue about the various plotlines, so I don't know what the blood-drinking sword is going to lead to yet. Except that it means that the mayor (tavern owner?) of the village was a true believer in Sauron even after all these years and has been keeping it. And probably encouraging the rest of his people not to trust the elves.
Super-minor note: I love the costuming for Bronwyn -- the blue dress with the reddish boots. It really pops against all the other characters in her storyline and she's always easy to spot. Appreciate that!
There really is a heartbreaking contrast between the lives of the people of NĂșmenor and the people of the Southlands.
What are the Valar trying to do in all this? Was it the Valar who made the petals fall or was Halbrand/Sauron trying to help Galadriel out? He seems to enjoy... how did he put it? Her galloping around full-speed like a colt? Something like that, lol. So he might have wanted to give her a chance to get what she wanted from the queen. Playing multiple sides against each other seems to come pretty naturally to him.
We are seeing that ambition is being set up to lead to doom already in Middle-Earth, even without Sauron's direct presence -- Celebrimbor explicitly wants to create objects of power, not just objects of beauty. Adar is trying to find that blood-drinking hilt and is leading the Orcs to some kind of terror (he's already enslaving people in his search). And the dwarves have been mining in the dangerous old mines because they found a vein of mithril there.
Gil-galad tried to send Galadriel away to Valinor because he foresaw that her continued hunt for Sauron might end up bringing his danger back to the forefront and, from what I know (spoiler-wise) that ends up being true (in fairness, she did find Sauron! Even if she doesn't know it yet! And he will get defeated. You know. Eventually.)
Other things of note: I love Disa! Disa is wonderful. Disa-Durin-Elrond could make for a very nice polycule. What if Elrond had made it to their wedding and there hadn't been any estrangement! But I really like that we saw some consequences for long elven lifespans and how it can affect their relationships with people who don't live as long.
I like the angsty young teens well enough, though Theo is definitely in the roughest situation out of any of them (see: the Southlands kinda sucking as a place to live). Definitely perked up when I heard Elendil and Isildur's names!
I'm really curious about whether or not the isle of NĂșmenor turning against the elves is all based on them being more insular and isolationist or if there's something else at work. That the old king was trying to return to the ancient elven ways because of a vision in a palantir... very curious where that vision is coming from. Galadriel's arrival being tied to the breaking of the sea wall and the destruction of the city. I... don't know my Middle-Earth history enough to say for certain, but I suspect Sauron is gonna be involved in that. Because it's Sauron.
Arondir is our most plainly heroic character overall, I'd say (Galadriel is driven by vengence; Arondir's focus has been on trying to save and protect) and he is very dreamy. I do like that we have these PoVs in the Southlands and what's going on there, so we see that Galadriel is justified in feeling like there is still evil to fight.
Having a lot of fun with this. Glad I gave it a second chance.

what'd you think about jade shadows?
I put it under a read-more because I don't know how to talk about this without talking about spoiler stuff. The tl;dr is "I liked it but I wish there was a little bit more."
One of the things I didn't like isn't even really part of the quest itself, but I saw a mutual bring it up a few days ago & it's been on my mind since: it feels a little odd to have a content warning before your sidequest, and then not give you any way to skip the quest if it's content you don't think you'd be able to handle. Especially given there's a whole event & rewards that only unlock afterwards!!
OK on to the contents of the quest itself. There's a lot of themes of love and connection and empathy in the face of systemic cruelty or indifference, in this game in general, and a lot of how that manifests is stories about characters fighting for self-determination and agency (the Ostrons trying to stay free of the Grineer, the Solaris trying to destroy the systems that keep them in debt & deny them bodily autonomy, Umbra, the Tenno, the Lotus, etc etc).
I think it's interesting to try and explore a tragedy where we aren't able to help someone in time, where the powers that be have brutalized someone and we as individuals aren't able to get there in the nick of time & help them claw their agency back. I think it's an interesting thematic & emotional through-line (with very strong parallels to Ordis... very smart choice to make him the event vendor / narrator, I'm feasting good on all the new dialogue LOL), and I think there have been enough well-written woman characters in the game that don't get written out or killed for the sake of some man's tragedy or growth that I don't immediately roll my eyes about them trying a So Sad The Woman Dies story.
I do also think this would have hit harder if we got more information about Jade herself!! I realize "this woman broke a law and was completely dehumanized / made into a Thing by the empire, stripping her of herself to suit their ends" is Kind Of The Point, and they make enough of a fuss about "wow there's a lot that's redacted about her history, huh!" that I assume this is a plot thread they're leaving hanging for later. But I feel like the big moment would have resonated better if they gave us a little more info to establish this character, other than "she was heterosexual" and "the Orokin were fucked up, don't forget" haha.
(I do find it funny that the storyline about Ballas, who got Divorced So Badly that he Caused Nearly All Of Today's Problems, is all wrapped up, but the story keeps going "no no, don't worry, there's still plenty of opportunity to remind you how fucked the Orokin were." Here's these two people that broke some insipid law about conceiving a child & so their bosses and leaders broke their brains and turned them into bio-weapon lapdogs as punishment. Every time they go "BTW Something Was Deeply Wrong With The Orokin & We Still Feel The Aftershock Of That Today" I clap my hands like a seal.)
Warframe Babies Are Born!!!!! This little tyke is fuckin weird. What's their problem. I think it's weird and cool. I don't really feel much about "this character is a parent now!" type of storylines. (I did pop off when Stalker got to do his shithead honourable samurai defending a child with one arm thing. I'm a sucker for that & they made it coooooool. It feels like they're setting up some kind of "Lone Wolf and Cub" situation. The scythe being juiced up with BabysPower was also funny.) The baby thing is neat to me from the perspective of, like... This is something weird and new that's never happened before in this universe. That's exciting and kind of scary! I'm interested to see where they go with that. (Presumably in a year or two. Very funny to drop this on us when a completely different major story arc is right around the corner with 1999.)
Gianni's delivery was fuckin killer. I'm excited for whatever next arc they do with Stalker if it means they're gonna pay my boy to grunt and yell and scream more. It feels very strange to be acquainted with two people who've done voice acting in "Warframe" now. Me next? ^_^
I like our new Corpus weirdo. I hope she comes back. Fun to get more stuff with the Sisters of Parvos & with Mr. Granum himself. But I liked her a lot. It got a fuckin laugh out of me to have her through all the quest excited about her big promotion that she's going to get & resolving that with "Is that a fuckin baby??? Fuuuuuck! They don't pay me enough to shoot a baby with a gatling gun!" I wish her ending scene was a little more than just stoically standing aside but literally anything else I can think of feels way too cheesy or on-the-nose.
The facial animations on the Operator were really fuckin weird. I just remembered that. I thought that was just a thing on my end but I watched someone else play & the faces looked weird for them too.
Hunhow's a good inclusion. I like him seeing the Stalker stewing in his own misery because he hates the only people that could offer him help & going "aw man, c'mon buster, don't be like me now." I like his signature that he puts in his emails. I like that he's still an emotionally constipated weirdo that hates us but is still endeared to us in some way. (They make nods to The New Strange in his ending email, which makes sense given that this also feels like a quest setting up More Weird Shit In The Future, but I do get a laugh that it also reads as "JADE WAS PREGNANT? OKAY... WELL. DON'T FORGET THAT I HAVE A WOMB TOO, KID." Thanks Grandpa. Love you too Grandpa. Thanks for the sweeties Grandpa.)
The event quest feels like a nice bow on top. I like the parallels between Jade and Ordis. Wanting to afford her the dignity in death he could never be given. Acknowledgement of Ordan Karris is fun!!! (The line about him being conflicted with the thought of Granum un-cephalon'ing him has me rubbing my hands together.) I'm excited that we're getting so much of Parvos Granum lately. What a shit head. It's funny to see him so hyped up about Ordan. "Duuuude! Your history's famous killer!! That's awesome? Do you wanna work for me? C'monnnnn we both hate the legacy of the Orokin. Wouldn't it be awesome if MY rule was the one dehumanizing you and wielding you as a weapon instead?" This is something they've been establishing as early as "Parvos and Ballas in bed with one another doing shady back-room deals over a Warframe bodyguard and specter particle research" but it's fun whenever they sow the seeds of Parvos being so much like the Orokin he hated.
I wrote more than I thought I was going to!!! I like the thematic through-line idea of this quest but I wish they executed on it better. I like the stuff this is presumably establishing for the future. I really like the event quest as... not quite an epilogue, I guess, but as an addition. Other than that I thought it was okay! I wasn't expecting anywhere near the level of Whispers in the Walls, but that quest being such a high bar makes a "pretty okay" quest stick out to me a little, haha.

How do you think the twst boys would react if their partner called someone else's name while they're having sex? I know that this is a very "it depends" question: for example Sebek would probably react pretty differently if Idia said Lilia's name instead of other names (like the tweels or Azul), and the situation would change even more if he was with Malleus instead of Idia... But I'm curious what you think
Sorry for the late reply, Anon! This ask intrigued me for such a long time lol This is so cruel, but also so interestingâŠđ
You are right, it really does depend on a lot of stuff, but I will try to mention a couple of options when itâs applicable! But also spoiler alert, pretty much all of them would be very displeased (shocking!).
Thank you for asking, and I hope you enjoy the post.
Riddle â off with your head! Jokes aside, I think he would be quite heartbroken and pissed. The only person that I can think of who could fuck up so massively with Riddle is Ace⊠so heâll definitely spend an eternity wearing Riddleâs collar, I donât know what he needs to do to be forgiven lol rip
Ace â he would get mad, stop and start bombarding his lover with questions. Whatâs even worse is that every other guy that his lover could name (Trey or Floyd for Riddle, Jack for Deuce) is much taller and bigger than him, so Aceâs mind would immediately go to âoh I get itâ. Heâll probably lose his boner and start avoiding the other person, but not for long: Ace is vindictive and petty, so once he calms down a little, heâll start enjoying the other boy being very apologetic and guilty around him. Is he going to bully his lover and punish him when they have sex the next time? Absolutely. He has to restore his ego, too.
Deuce â if itâs Ace who does it, Deuce will be surprised and confused, but then punch him and push him away; they might actually fight a little before Deuce kicks Ace out of their room. Itâs not like Deuce wanted to bring extra attention, he was just shocked and upset, but now the entire dorm knows that something happened between the two lol But if this somehow happens with Jack of all people, I feel like Deuce would be too shocked to react properly at first, maybe even start gaslighting himself that he just didnât hear Jack right.
Trey â if the lover himself didnât notice that he said something wrong, Trey would seemingly pretend that it didnât happen and just continue what he was doing. Because stopping mid-sex to address this is way too awkward and he doesnât want this whole thing, so heâll just bear with it⊠which doesnât mean that he wouldnât care at all, he actually would care and a lot and probably even get mad (more than he expected to be!), so heâll get pretty rough all of a sudden, almost sadistic even.
Cater â he would actually stop and address it. He might actually continue if his lover gives him an excuse or explanation, and he might even seemingly play along, but similarly to Trey, he would get rougher. He could also start asking questions about his lover wanting to have sex with that other person, but as if itâs dirty talk.
Leona â he would get mad, he might actually get physical and shove the lover away for doing that, but in actuality being called someone elseâs name would kind of tingle him in a weird way. Itâs not like he is ever going to address it because frankly, he is too proud for that.
Ruggie â doesnât really give a shit? He doesnât expect to be anyoneâs one and only, the only thing heâd be worried about is whether he is going to get his credit for fucking someone so nicely or not lol But maybe he just didnât meet someone he would care enough about to get upset. If he hears any other name from Leona though, heâll absolutely remember it. Valuable information.
Jack â would get upset and jump to conclusions even if it was an accident, but if it happens mid-sex, there is no way he is going to stop. Heâll get much more rough and possessive though, heâll start biting and leaving all kinds of marks outside and inside his loverâs body.
Azul â he would get so upset that he might actually not finish, but honestly, it depends. I can picture him shoving the other guy away from him and leaving just as well as I can picture him getting so angry that he just grabs his lover even tighter and starts fucking them even stronger. Oh, and there will be ink. Thankfully, itâs just an octo-boy getting angry and not blot, honestly, I wouldnât be surprised seeing Azul overblot over this⊠One would expect him to maybe even start crying, but Azul would smile. Smile in such a terrifying way, as if he completely lost it. Asking about the other name, laughing quietly, finding roundabout way to call his lover a whore that only used him. It would get scary lol but afterwards he would leave⊠and start thinking about revenge. Ace is vindictive, but Azul? He is the most vindictive person ever, there is no way he wonât start punishing his lover from that point and until he forgives him (so forever). Also, I somehow think that he would be more upset if Idia called him any other name than if Jamil did it; at least he knows not to trust Jamil even though he has a fat crush on him; but with Idia he is genuinely very close, so that would be a betrayal that is almost impossible to recover from.
Jade â while itâs shitty, ironically, this is one of the best things that could happen to Jade because suddenly he has this thing that he could use to torture the other person with. It all depends on a situation, Jade could ignore it and then act like he is hurt for some time and confess after a couple of days that he was actually very hurt by it (not fake at all), or he could start acting hurt right away. Or he could pull the dick out slowly, apologising and saying that heâs going to call the other person if this is who his lover wishes to see instead of him. Especially if someone called him Floyd, THEN itâs extra spicy (and Jadeâs emotions are a bit genuine then). Also, if itâs Idia and he somehow manages to call Jade Azul, Jade would have extra fun because now he can play with both of them.
Floyd â heâll address it immediately, heâll bulldoze his lover with a âhey, why did you call me that?â very directly. Itâs not impossible for him to actually get annoyed and leave, he is still a Leech, so he might do something similar to what Jade is doing. Doesnât matter who his lover is, he could start asking questions, demanding they tell Floyd everything, refusing to continue fucking (or just stimulating his lover more intensely) until they answer his very invasive questions. Ironically, he would have the most fun with this type of thing with Riddle, when he would pound his guts while Riddle chokes on his own saliva refusing to tell which one of the two men felt better inside of him. And then, after he is all done with Riddle and the adrenalin rush is over, THEN he would get angry and annoyed and want to punch someone.
Kalim â he would assume itâs some kind of mistake at first, maybe he just didnât hear it right; so he wonât stop and try not to get hung up on it. But he probably wonât be able to forget about it completely and would keep thinking about it, maybe looking at Jamil and that other person whose name he said. There is no way heâd be able to keep his own confusion a secret though, so heâll just ask Jamil directly and very loudly at some point, and make this whole thing much more awkward that it already is. Poor Jamil probably doesnât even remember anythingâŠ
Jamil â would he really care? I guess he would in a âwell anyone would feel shitty if you fuck them and then call them some other nameâ type of way, at least initially. He doesnât allow himself any emotional attachment, so itâs not like his first instinct would be to feel bad. And if itâs Kalim who does it, Jamil would think âif he has someone else heâs thinking about, why do I even bother having sex with him?â, playing it off as if he is just doing extra work that someone else could do for him. But the bitter aftertaste would last for quite some time⊠Also, knowing Kalim, he could very easily call Jamil someone elseâs name but that would 100% just be a random name because his brain got too fried due to arousal and he doesnât know what heâs saying anymore lol Also, just because Jamil âdoesnât careâ doesnât mean that he wonât confront his lover about it. Donât treat him like shit!
Vil â he would actually be deeply offended by it. I think he would stop everything, demand explanation immediately and maybe even punch his lover if he doesnât like the explanation that he gets. I feel like this is one of the worst things one could do to Vil lol The level of his anger and heartbreak could be different depending on a scenario (if itâs Jade or Floyd or Trey, then itâs pretty shitty because even if you like someone else, you have to be present for a person youâre shoving your dick into; but still itâs not as bad, just super rude). But if itâs Rook, then unless itâs some kind of Rook-yapping-magic, itâs difficult to imagine Vil actually continuing with the sex after being called someone elseâs name. Hey, at least he (or any other guy) didnât call you Neige, that would be yikes.
Rook â he would get surprised and immediately start thinking: did he see the signs of these two getting close? Are they intimate with each other? Because if they are, chances are, Rook already knows about it: he knows everything about everybodyâs love life lol But still, hearing it from his own lover while having sex is huge! If itâs someone who he has fleeting interest in, he would ignore it as it happens, but then hint at it later (âyou should really be honest with your feelings for this one person~ winkâ type of way). If itâs someone he is very close to though, like Vil, he wonât stop, but will tease him and then suggest inviting the other person to share their bed. Is he still teasing or is he serious? Your guess is as good as mine.
Epel â his first reaction would be confusion, he might quietly repeat what heâs just heard and blink slowly, looking almost too adorable in his puzzlement, but then he would punch his lover and yell at him, demanding for him to let go of him and fuck off. Well, it might not happen with every potential partner, but this scene is surprisingly easy to imagine lol I think Epel is the type who gets angry first and gets upset and starts crying afterwards, when the anger part is over. I donât know how jealous Epel is, but being called someone elseâs name would still suck a lot. If it happens with Floyd though, he might actually continue having ~angry~ sex with him, while being super mad at Floyd but also enjoying it a bit too much. Itâs not like he can run away when he is being squeezed so tightly, and his angry screams would get muffled by Floydâs massive hand.
Idia â he would get more upset that he himself expected to be; Idia always keeps in mind every possible bad scenario that could happen, and he is pretty pessimistic and paranoid in general, so his first thought would be âright, I should have known betterâ. But since itâs pretty difficult for Idia to open up (letâs ignore that in almost every scenario we put him in the sex part is very sudden lol), he would feel heartbroken, betrayed and pretty disappointed in himself for believing another human being. Similarly to Azul being the most hurt if itâs Idia, Idia would be the most hurt if itâs Azul. Or Lilia, but to be honest I canât imagine Lilia calling any names in general while having sex lol But anyway, he would probably get pretty salty and avoiding afterwards. Unless itâs Ortho who does it because in that case Idia would try very hard to be happy for him. And if it all ends up being a big misunderstanding, Idia would still be kind of salty and snarky, reminding about the fact that it happened from time to time.
Ortho â option one: he stops for a moment and asks about it right away; option two: he doesnât stop, but replays the audioclip afterwards and asks if there is anything his lover wants to tell him. It itâs Idia, he is half-excited half-jealous about the possibility of him getting a boyfriend, so it could go either way, but he would probably try o act supportive⊠while being super jealous and possessive, as always!
Lilia â he might get pouty and go âhuuuh?â, but he is more amused than upset lol No matter who his lover is, he wonât allow him to get away from questions. Are you two that close? Did you do it with him? Do you want to? How do you want to do it? And all of it while still fucking the poor boy. Itâs like a mix of a mean lover who bullies with dirty talk and a nasty old man who is very interested in younglingsâ love life.
Silver â he would get surprised, so his eyes would widen very cutely, but he probably wonât say anything; he is the type to suffer quietly. Well, Iâm not even sure if he would allow himself to suffer: if itâs Lilia, then itâs nothing new. If itâs Sebek, he might actually get more upset, but probably tell himself that they arenât actually dating, so maybe Sebek is just using him for training⊠in which case, this isnât anything new either.
Sebek â if itâs Malleus who does that, Sebek would swallow his pride and bear with it like a good boy that knows his place. Of course Malleus would think of Lilia when he is with him, and Sebek could only wish to be one day good enough to replace this image in Malleusâ head, even though this feeling sucks: Sebek is very jealous when he probably isnât allowed to be⊠so heâll cope by fucking Malleus harder and trying his absolute best to pleasure him in a way that even Lilia couldnât! So much space for improvement and motivation! And if itâs Silver or Idia, he would get pissed and more aggressive, but wonât stop fucking lol He is very likely to yell at Silver, like Are you asleep?! or something (wonât yell as much if Silver calls him Father though lol), and Idia⊠oh poor Idia wonât hear the end of it, heâll get called all kinds of nasty words for being so promiscuous.
Malleus â oh no one is surviving this. He wouldnât like it at all. No matter who his lover is, no matter what Malleus is being called, if itâs anything other than his name, this world is going to end. I feel like there is some level of getting over it with the rest of the guys, but Malleus? Oh no no no.

Thank you for your service smol o7 this game has been on my thoughts 24/7 lol so itâs nice to see someone writing for it!!
I was hoping I could request some jealousy headcanons about the ghouls being pouty MC is hanging out with others so much because of their missions with other houses. In particular I was hoping for my boy Haku (I know we donât have a main chapter for him yet but he did have those two chunks of screen timeâif heâs too difficult because of not enough info donât worry about it then!); as well as maybe Jin, Luca and whoever else youâd like!
Thanks again~
Just like another ask i got, I'm gonna write Haku based on the vibe I got from him. This could be proven entirely inaccurate in the later game and I am okay with that lol. I'm gonna round it to an even four characters. All these will be before any relationship actually happens. Like there's a crush there but no one has said anything yet.
And thank YOU for sending in a request and enjoying!
Be aware! These will contain minor spoilers for episode 3!
JIN KAMURAI
I feel like silver spoon Jin has no experience with certain types of jealousy. Materialistic jealousy? Doesn't know her. But when he heard how close MC had been getting with some of those Vagastrom thugs? Oh it made his blood boil.
At first I'm sure he thought it was because on of his orders was being defied. But that feeling only got stronger when MC was finished with Vagastrom and moved onto Jabberwok.
Good luck to Tohma because mans here does not know what to do about these emotions. This is one of those problems that can't be fixed with money and he is NOT happy about it. He goes back to brooding in his room for a while to think things through.
He will not tolerate any disrespect from any theories that the Frostheim gossip elite have. But when he noticed the like dove flying in the direction of MC'S dorm, things suddenly started to click in his head.
LUCAS ERRANT "LUCA"
Our boy here is another one who isn't necessarily familiar with jealousy. Its for similar reasons of, he comes from a well off family, but different in the way he was raised and things he's been through as a little kid.
He's glad to see MC making more friends and making possible progress on breaking their curse, at first. When they get to Jabberwok however, he hears from Kaito that their vice captain Towa is a bit of (how Kaito put it), "a fucking weirdo", which gives him some pause.
When Kaito came running up to Luca showing him a WickChat post about MC having a possible boyfriend (its false, its just Towa being affectionate and someone saw). He feels his heart sink a little bit
He made a mental note to text MC later to ask about it and get all the information he could about their relationship and about the Jabberwock students. He promised to protect MC not matter what. Hopefully they could explain the strange twist in his chest while they talked too.
ALAN MIDO
He doesn't really get jealous. Period.
I think he's the kind of guy to know how strong he is, he knows his reputation. He's tech hopeless, not a moron. So just being around him can scare off people from getting too close to MC while he's around.
He himself overheard about MC having a possible boyfriend (same post from Luca's) from Leo telling Sho. He didn't pay any real mind to it until he heard Leo mention how affectionate they were.
That's the one thing he gets jealous about. He's a bit more aware of his feelings than people might think, so he knows he has a crush on MC. He just hasn't had the time to tell them that.
The rumor takes some wind out of Alan's sails for sure. He's more likely to believe that MC would pick someone else over him since I think he'd be more hesitant on something like physical affection.
He knows his strength and he knows MC'S ability, he would be too afraid that he'd lose control and do something else he might regret, so out of everyone on this list. I think Alan would be the one to take longer to confess because of jealousy and his insecurities.
HAKU KUSANAGI
I don't remember if it's explicitly said anywhere (my memory sucks butt I'm sorry) but he gives older sibling energy with how he cleaned up after Taiga in the prologue. So I KNOW he's been worried about MC since they last saw eachother.
He was at least somewhat relieved when he found them hanging out with the Frostheim second years, but there was a pang in his he couldn't quite place. He chalked it up to just being a worrywart and left it alone.
But when he heard that MC had gone missing in episode 3, he was READY to jump in to go help the search and rescue team. His heart was racing and he was suddenly confronted with feelings that were coming out of left field (no they weren't)
When MC returns back safely, Haku has half a mind to go fight with the professor Hyde about sending the very human honor student on such dangerous missions. He keeps a much closer eye on them from now on and with his status as an heir to (what i assume) is a beloved shrine, he tries to request that MC be sent to work with Hotarubi next.

The Encounter of Two Flames | React | Final!
I'm ngl I forgot I didn't do the last day lmaooo but let's do this nowwww.
Even though it's pretty much everyone has seen it already and there's no point in marking it as a spoiler I'm going to go ahead and dive in on this. Now if this is the first post you're seeing of my previous reacts: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
If you don't need any of dat, then let's get on with itttt *btw I was wrong and there were only 9 days for the story instead of 10*
But quick recap is that we were left off with Luci showing up to aid Satan after he helped Sitri get over his depressive self-harm moment that nearly burned the entire town down.
Because yah Satan did the thing and ripped his heart out so Sitri could drink his blood from the source like how they first met and junk.
So Luci gave Satan over to Paimon and now Rin is standing up too, the cutie.
Wait...who are you talking to??? <_<
FORASSSSSS???@?@?@?@>
He was spying on them the entire time, it's like I almost forgot Foras could do that lmao I just didn't think this would be remotely relevant...and this is the first time Foras got to meet Lucifer and he was very nice about it.
Wait, Bimet and Eligos now too????? AHHHH>>W>W>????
So Eligos and Bimet were there watching because they share borders and found this important. Eli does admit they should have helped but he's glad it worked out.
ngl Eli the shit was happening for quite a while ya'll sure waited quite a long ass time....
ANYWAYS
Apparently Beel was there well in fly form anyway too. Like did everybody pretty much just show up in Gehenna and just stood around waiting for what Satan would do, I'm kinda being salty about that but when you think about it Satan would of being like "nah"
Mammon ofc was like "Sitri belongs to me so I had to check" and I'm crying because even back then....oh Mammon the man that you are...
Rei is adorable he grabbed onto Luci's sleeve and was trying to say something and I'm like THE BABYYYYYY
He's like a stern older brother lmao
But yeah apparently Jjok can't speak with he is Rei so that answers some speculations. That literally means we won't be hearing that little ridiculous cute squeak toy voice come out of this hot man lol he's literally just silent.
Jjok is so mad lmao he's wondering why he can't speak in his high rank form. So even though we know he can't speak even he doesn't know why he can't.
Luci ofc is like "then don't transform" doing his blunt answer thing and Jjok is like "awh man but I look so coooooolllll" which is on point for his character.
Awh well Jjok has gotta love his fond family more for sure than just someone he admires. I think it's cute of him.
Luci just says to himself that Satan will always have people watching him no matter how small he is. (not everyone still dunking on him for his size goodness)
So we're back in Gehenna after this little scene and Sitri was on probation and all that stuff but Paimon and Leraye are encouraging him to rest up
What's this?
Nah Sitri who you fuckin'?
Tell the class...we won't jump you....cause ya know Solomon ain't there nor is MC so...
who you fuckinnnnnnnnnn
Oh a text? That's who you fuckin' probs I'm callin' it... lmao
So Satan is telling Sitri he's being too mean because the person everyone is wondering who is texting Sitri rn is none other than-
Yup Amy
And Sitri explains that he just wanted to know how he was feeling and that there was other stuff in the text message after that but he said "I ain't readin' all dat" and blocked him lmao
The energy from this devil is real.
Ppyong wonders though why it is that Sitri hates Amy so much when he's normally nice to everyone.
So, how I'm going to interpret this...
I think that Sitri sees himself in Amy, like the brute and feral part of himself that was uneducated and doing just whatever. That raw power and sense of being able to do whatever the fuck he wanted carelessly. He relates to Amy in so many ways it bothers him and he doesn't like being reminded of it, it's like looking at a constant mirror over and over of the behaviors you never want to see that you have of yourself deep down.
But at the same time he can't really blame Amy for that, but unfortunately that's his gripe and his grudge and he won't let go of it no matter what.
And also, it seems that Satan knows truly what it is but because his mischievous and entertained by their banter he doesn't want them to make up like ever.
ugh why won't bae answer my texts like????? LMAO i'm just messin' around.
But at the same time this shit is cute of him. Like he's honestly waiting on a response or like a huge paragraph of Sitri cussin' him out or something
he has a crush on Sitri so bad it's c r a z y.
But anyways he actually cares about him? That's super sweet. I told ya'll in the beginning it seemed like Sitri is way more harsh about their banter than Amy is. On his side it's more like boyish pranks whereas Sitri keeps doing shit to literally inconvenience or damn near kill him lmao
And then it says at the end of this event that the day of Sitri and Amy chilling out on their stuff has yet to come but Gehenna was at peace and their devils are strong and had their own bonds with one another.
And there we have it lovelies. The Satan and Sitri event which kinda felt more like a Sitri event again. I'm slightly disappointed as we didn't really get that much Satan lore and tons more about Sitri instead. I'm actually really starving on some Satan lore because already have so much of the other Kings and barely anything with him...
I'm wondering what the deal is about that. Do the devs just not like Satan as much so therefore put priority into his backstory and other things like his c a r d s on the back burner?
Justice for my OC's man like frfr he out here gettin' crumbs.
But anyways the reason I'd like more insight on him too is that I'm getting into Tokyo Revengers and since this is literally Satan and Belphie's territory in terms of their design and personality type, I'm really just like Y E S ? ? ? MORE??? WHEN ON THE BOIS DAMN.
At any rate I guess we'll all just have wait or just keep griping that we never get anything on Satan and maybe the devs will peep that and listennnn
But thank you all as always for sitting in and reading my stuffs <3 ya'll are cool. Stay simpin' for your faves. -your lovely adminnnnn

ATLALA, aka Avatar the Last Airbender Live Action
Sooooo, I finished the first season and had thoughts (just like everyone else lol). First context, non-spoilery thoughts, and then spoilers under the cut, yadda-yadda.
Why context? Because for a lot of people OG ATLA was their childhood, and they have super strong feelings about it and about any adaptation that exists. I'm not one of those people.
The first time I watched OG ATLA I was over 20 years old, which means I was an adult and had adult viewpoints about the story â worldbuilding, character writing, etc. It was never the hallowed most perfect show ever for me. It was and still is a fucking good show with some amazing writing and worldbuilding but I did have some gripes.
So when ATLALA was announced I remained neutral â I've seen the movie that shall not be named and din't really like it but shitty adaptations have always existed. When we started getting photos and trailers and news pieces, I was feeling pretty positive about the visuals, but neither news pieces or trailers actually tell you shit about what the writing or worldbuilding is like. However, I was about 70% optimistic.
Because what indications I did get about visuals, writing etc, were very reminiscent of another adaptation that had come out recently, about a series that was actually a bit more important to me on an emotional than ATLA. I'm talking about One Piece, and OPLA which came out last August. I've been a fan of that for 10 years longer than ATLA, and while they did a lot of changes, the spirit of the story was there.
So I copied my optimism and good feelings from that, going into ATLALA.
Now, the thoughts.
Visuals are pretty good. There are moments when I can tell they left some visuals out due to trickiness/budget (the "is Zuko's ship real?" review after the premiere). Some things look fake or plasticy, some stuff is too clean. Bending looks a lot better than in the movie that shall not be named.
Writing has issues. Some of it is very expositiony which makes it wooden and the shots uninteresting (there were so many badly framed shots with characters just awkwardly standing and talking). There are some lovely bits of dialogue that gave me feelings, but those moments were in the minority. And some writing choices were also quite childish, even for an adaptation of a kids' cartoon, so I'm a bit confused about the intended age demographic â except there are some really violent bits in there, which leave me even more confused.
Pacing was either frantic or okay-ish. The writers clearly had trouble paring down the OG series, and then ended up cramming stuff together. I could keep up with it (knowing what certain characters roughly meant for the plot, even if they were at a different place and time), but I'm not quite sure if someone uninitiated in the OG series could. The last 2 episodes had probably the best pacing and even then there were some things that made me go "hmmm."
Some actors have issues emoting â main and extras. I agree that the Gaang has lost some of their flaws compared to the OG series. Maybe some of them will make more of an appearance in season two when everyone's more experienced at acting? Especially considering that they'll likely have stuff more spaced out there â there are some episodes I'm pretty sure they'll outright skip, just based on the choices in this season. But we'll see. There were some fun and interesting bonding moments between different characters.
Sokka, Zuko, and Suki were the standouts from the younger cast. Suki is considerably different from the OG but it was acted and written well, and is an interesting choice. Sokka's quips, while not as numerous as in the OG, were fun. Physical comedy is obviously more toned down because real bodies can't do the same shit as cartoons. More about his arc choices later. Zuko was a bit toned down from the OG but IMO also the closest to it. And as someone who's almost finished with a Zuko AU fanfic, I was positively cackling due to the fact that some of the choices made for the character are similar to something I've done in my fic.
As for the rest of the main kids, there'll be more in the spoiler bits, BUT, they're different, and feel less experienced in acting. They're not bad but some choices were definitely different than in the show and they offer interesting opportunities. We'll see how they pan out, but be prepared for some speculation from me.
Fight scenes sometimes had IMO slow moments in the choreo, and they could have been better. Some were excellent, some a bit ehhh.
On the whole, I think this is about 7 out of 10. Some moments were 8 out of 10. It's a passable adaptation
Spoilery thoughts waaaay down.
Whoo boy. Where to start here?
Let's start with the cramming. As far as I can tell from my notes, the episodes are roughly divided like so:
EP1: 3,5 and bits (Boy in the Iceberg, Avatar Returns, Southern Air Temple, half of the Storm, bits of Avatar and the Fire Lord)
EP2: 1 and bits (Warriors of Kyoshi, part of Waterbending Scroll)
EP3: 3 halves (King of Omashu, Jet, Northern Air Temple)
EP4: 1, 4 halves and bits (King of Omashu, Jet, Northern Air Temple, Cave of Two Lovers, half of Winter Solstice P1, bits of the Avatar Day,)
EP5: 2 halves and pieces of 3 (half of Winter Solstice P1, half of Bato of the Water Tribe, part of Southern Raiders, part of the Library, part of Siege of the North) AND timeskip mention of the Great Divide and the pirates from Waterbending Scroll
EP6: 2, two halves and bits (Winter Solstice P2, Blue Spirit, half of Bato of the Water Tribe half of the Storm, part of Siege of the North)
EP7: 2 (Waterbending Master, Siege of the North)
EP8: 2 and pieces (Siege of the North, Return to Omashu, bits of Northern Air Temple, part of the Library)
Waterbending Scroll is a bit of throughline because you see moments of training in pretty much all of the episodes.
Episode 1 was very full, and felt rushed at times. There were a few places where they could have shortened some parts (like the earthbender spy scene at the start) to give more time for other stuff. Biggest gripes are the convenience of timing â Aang going off to clear his head only for everyone to die that very night. HOWEVER, me and my friends talked about it being likely Spirit shenanigans going "fuck, Air Nomads are gonna die now, we need to deepfreeze the Avatar for storage." We also concluded that the sudden current of Sokka and Katara finding Aang was either physics we don't understand, or Spirit shenanigans. Also the thing about all the Air Nomads coming over for the Great Comet festival? And then having so few of them on screen? Sorry, but I ain't buying it. Having such a sparse population in one temple I could have bought (with caveats) but adding in the gathering, nah.
Episode 2, Sokka-Suki was beautiful. I think it works even with the removed downplaying of girls capabilities (this change also brought some other stuff to Sokka I absolutely adored in later episodes but I'll talk about that when I start ranting about the characters). This was pretty close to the OG episode in many ways and I really don't have other problems with it, besides the somewhat childish end discussion about hope and shit with Aang and Suki's mom (Suki having a badass mom is fun). Manifesting Avatars and being able to talk to them only at their shrines will be an interesting take on stuff. Because that will affect some stuff on later seasons and I'm not sure how.
(And considering how scared Aang is of the Avatar State this early on, we might end up skipping the Avatar State in the next season. At least partially. Because we did get a lot of info now.)
That's a very full itinerary and it was hardest to follow at eps 3-4 because there were so many things going on. Jet's and the Mechanist's conflicting storylines made for an interesting drama (though, again, hard to follow) and gave Sokka and Katara something to do â which they didn't really have in the OG Omashu episode, which was what Aang was mostly dealing with here. In my opinion these two episodes didn't get a proper handling, because they're one of the few instances were we get people from the Earth Kingdom doing questionable shit, but we don't really discuss it. And while everyone know marketing is a mistake (it makes no one happy), considering that this series was trying to sell itself as a more mature take, that feeling is left kinda lacking in regards to Jet and the Mechanist. I do appreciate Bumi being fucking bitter, like Yass, you go king, as well as the bit with the Earth Kingdom soldiers speaking of grief and mistreating Iroh. That complexity is what was left lacking with Jet and the Mechanist, and how Katara and Sokka dealt with that emotionally. Also loved Zuko getting hit by a broom and Iroh taking the fall for him. The Zuko-Zhao alliance was an interesting angle to take (after messing it up pfft) and establishing early that Azula is a master infiltrator? I liked that move, also the fact that there are Fire Nation rebels. Although I fucking loved the quick fake marriage.
5 and 6, despite being about as full if not fuller, were weaven together really well in my opinion. My biggest gripe with that two episode storyline was how the Fire Sage Shyu-Aang team-up was done â not that it was any better in the OG to be fair but it is more jarring in live action. I just about died at the 41st twist because holy shit that's an amazing angst take and I appreciate it so much. And while we do get Aang planting an acorn, it feels like a really small moment and I think the Hei Bai issue should have got a bit more attention as the episode was resolved. Koh was fucking terrifying and the appearance of Wan Shi Tong â and in the last two episodes the appearance of the celestial objects calendar machine, as well as the fact that Zhao got his dirt on Tui and La from a Fire Sage â leads me to believe we won't be getting the Library episode next season.
(The only way I can see Return to Omashu happening is if it's remixed with Imprisoned which was totally left out of this season, or we get the important info aka neutral Jing info all from the Swamp, or from a letter Bumi sent. I personally think Return to Omashu-Imprisoned remix is more likely, just so we can prep Teo and the Mechanist for the Day of the Black Sun which we saw flashing by on the celestial objects machine just before we finally got the confirmation that Sozin's Comet is still a thing. Although The Avatar State could also be remixed into this in a sort of "yes, Earth Kingdom needs to free Bumi etc but I can't do it in Avatar State, we need to be smart.")
Episodes 7 and 8 were pretty chill in pacing issues. I thought Yue was a bit too quick in warming up to Sokka but considering how it was explained I can accept it. Also, the fact that Tui and La are intelligent enough to not be fish 24/7/365 is a change that makes sense although the whole Ice Moon (is it the local Halloween?) thing was very out of left field. Women joining the fight was a wild update and definitely more of a modern take than an early 2000s take. Do I have other thoughts? Sure, but I don't want to write bajillion essays and I just want a general overview in one post.
Zuko is, like I said, a standout. Absolutely love his conspiracy board, and as someone who writes a fic with a more scholarly inclined Zuko, I loved him being able to draw, being the foremost Avatar expert in the world (you can't tell me there can be more than one or two people out there who know more than Zuko at this point, look at his research), and having opinions about calligraphy brushes. Ugh, my heart. There's some absolutely wonderful acting happening and he does action really well. Is he a bit less explosive than in the OG? Sure, but one must remember, that adaptations are just licensed fanfics. His abuse background is in the performance, and my biggest question is the Agni Kai. There was a certain desperation in his face, so he must have wanted to make an impression on Ozai, and maybe felt a bit more like he had the right to it â as this show made it clear he had been invited in the War Council and did not needle his way in. Also the 41st twist oh holy smokes I just about screamed. His flaw is still anger and trouble thinking plans through.
Azula (her bangs in the flashback crack me up, was that her emo phase?) is more obviously affected by Ozai's games in this. I know OG Azula has loads of fans and there are loads of deep dives into her character and abuse and etc, but this is actually the first time her writing has made it obvious to me. She's still cold and calculating, but she's affected by more things and that makes her into a more approachable character for me. I know many fans got this from the OG portrayal so I know this is a me thing.
Sokka is another standout. I saw an interview where the actor was like "I tried to interject and ad lib humour where I could" and I appreciate it, because a lot of them made me cackle. There was some really good humour there. As for his arc and conflict; I think it's really interesting that he tries to live up to his dad's image of a warrior, and doing it very much out of duty. It isn't so much that he wants to be a warrior, but he wants to be good enough and I think that came through wonderfully. He can be a warrior, but it ain't his passion. It also offers very interesting bonding possibilities and parallels with Zuko. My heart broke at that ice-dodging scene in episode 5, as well as his heart-to-heart with Katara in episode 4 (fucking SIBLING LOVE TRIUMPHS). Also absolutely loved the fact that he supported Katara being a warrior in the North. His flaws in the OG are self-esteem issues (nailed here), and a certain level of arrogance, that affected his attitude towards girls at times. The latter has been removed but considering it only lasted until episode 4 in the OG series anyway, I don't see it as a terribly big deal. We can still get his "it'll totally work out this way" arrogant moment at pretty much any point in the story in the future.
Katara has trouble emoting. I don't know how much experience her actor has with acting, but I hope she gets better with practice. There are some very nice bonding moments she has with Sokka and Aang that bring emotion out, but she's very stone faced a lot of the time. One could read it as a symptom of seeing her mother being literally burned alive but that depends on how her arc is written in future seasons, and how it's acted. I really like the parallel with Sokka, of him trying to be a warrior out of duty, while Katara wants to be that and has trouble getting the opportunity to do so. This came out really well in episode 4. The fact that she was made a fucking commander of sorts at North was amazing moment of proving to her that she can be, that she is, a warrior. I'm kinda sad her temper has been left out of the writing, because with her being a self-taught water bender (which I'm okay with because we see her practising every fucking episode) there's a threat of her sliding into so-called Mary Sue territory. Hopefully Toph's inclusion brings her temper out next season. She's also missing some of her naiveté, although having a crush on the first good looking outsider (with fucking mirrored shots) just like her brother is hilarious.
Aang is... to mature. He gets a lot of really good and morally and ethically right speeches, and while he expresses that he's scared and doesn't know what he's doing, it still feels too mature. He also doesn't have that many dumbass child moments (what was that episode he just went "oops" in, that was funny and felt childlike, and then there was the water fight he had with Katara). It could be because we're going through stuff so fast but it'll be hard to fix later. I kinda like how his connection with Katara is being the last of their kind and loss â and then the small really good acting in ep7 when Katara says stewed sea prunes taste like home, and you can just see him go "oh, there's still someplace she can belong to, unlike me." I loved his calligraphy brush discussion with Zuko, because there was the beginnings of a bond there. As a friend said, it's nice they removed the Disney princess like love at first sight thing from the OG. If this turns into a romance (I have thoughts on that... later) I feel like it has a better chance to grow organically. No, I never shipped Kataang, please refer to the context part of this post.
Suki had a fun isolated, but curious, and socially awkward vibe to her. She's obviously different from the OG, but it's a fun and interesting difference, as the most characterisation we ever got for her was badass. Yue was interesting, more assertive and playful, which I liked. I also liked the fact that she had obvious duties and was expected to be the next chief. Even if the Northern Water Tribe sexism was kept, this felt like it added some dimension to it. June flirting with Iroh was hilarious, enough said. Mai and Ty Lee are blanks of wood. Their writing, and the direction they were given was horrible, and they're a prime example of that awkward standing and bad framing issue I mentioned way earlier. Ty Lee could have at least been bending herself into a pretzel, and Mai could have been using a knife to dig stuff from under her nails or something. I hope they get better writing and direction in the future.
Iroh was honestly pretty enjoyable. There were some moments of skilled evasive answering, but I was left missing him saying that Zuko was like a son to him. They do have really good chemistry though and you can see the care between the characters. I hated the long monologue at the end of episode 6, that felt very much beneath whatever target audience they were aiming for, and failed show not tell. Not perfect but can improve. Also, that one part where they played Leaves on the Vine, I almost died.
Ozai being a manipulative, abusive game addict is different but offers him some agency and motivation besides megalomania, which I appreciate. He had a peculiar expression when he burned Zuko, and that smells like hidden lore to me.
That's probably every character I feel like addressing at this point. However, I did mention romance in Aang's section, and I have to agree with the other whispers on the net. The fucking scarf scene. At this point, it's more likely for this show to be Zutara than Kataang IMO. BUT before people go and blow up about it, some points; cartoons offer more leeway in visual age differences, I feel like they would need to extend ATLALA plot line to last several years (instead of like, 9 months it's in the OG) to make it visually make sense. The Fortuneteller (as well as Katara's obsession with love?), and Aang's love at first sight have all been written out. Cave of Two Lovers was used for sibling love on the first season, and we ain't visiting that location again, not with how efficiently we did pretty much all of the Omashu stuff this season. Most of the Kataang iconic moments have been left out deliberately. Does this mean we'll get Zutara? Of course not, but due to the scarf scene, as well as that rivals thing they have going (we literally have two fights between Zuko and Katara this season, and the water sprout she used to thwart his fireball in episode one, and if that isn't a traditional beginning of a rivalry, nothing is), it's certainly more likely at this point than Kataang.
But we'll see, just like with everything else. It's an okay start, it's far from perfect, but it does offer new viewpoints that I find fascinating.
What's in the future.
I already explained my Return to Omashu-Imprisoned-Avatar State mash-up idea above, and that we'll likely miss the Library. I also think Avatar Day will be left out. I do however think, that we'll get the Deserter next season. We also need a way for Aang to learn about the Comet coming again and if Library is out (and probably also the Desert), best chances are IMO the Swamp or the Fortuneteller (remixing those two together is also possible). Or maybe Yeong Yeong has spies and they tell him about the Comet and he tells the Gaang. I also think they'll be foreshadowing/setting up White Lotus a bit more than we got in the OG.
I don't quite have my thought together enough to make any other guesses, but we will get Toph, Ba Sing Se, and Azula's Mean Girls Squad, but no clue yet how they'll be remixed. Season 2 has a much clearer timeline structure, whereas season 1 had a lot of episodic stuff that doesn't timeline wise offer too many roadblocks for remixes, as we saw with what they did with Omashu.
I think that's about everything I can think off. If you have comments, please be nice. This was mostly rambling, and tin foil hat baiting.

So I finished the books of acotar and Im confused, WHAT IS THERE BETWEEN AZRIEL AND GWYN?? I read the bonus chapter of acosf, but that just showed me more of ELAIN AND AZRIEL. Im literally seeing people saying "azriel and gwyn had more chemistry than elain and azriel" LIKE HUH??? like where did this ship come from? I didnt even know about this bonus chapter until I came to tiktok. I thought gwyn was just a side character... I had no idea this was a ship because there is nothing between them that I saw. đ
Yeah I literally have no idea. I cheated a little when I was reading ACOWAR and looked up fanart before I finished the series. I saw Azriel with this redhead and was so so confused. I thought hm maybe he gets a mate after the war.
Then I read ACOFAS. Was really shipping Elriel but was sad that his fan art was with some redhead other girl. I genuinely at one point wondered if it was Vassa because she was the only other redhead female character I could think of other than Amarantha đ
It was bothering me so I asked my friend (who was the reason I read the series in the first place). She said she had no idea who that woman was.
And I thought she was just lying to me to avoid telling me spoilers lol so I continued reading. Imagine my surprise when I finished ACOSF, got even more invested in Elriel, and still had no answer.
Then I actually did a deep dive online and found out that it's GWYN they're shipping with Azriel? I was so confused. I asked my friend if there was another book, why is this Gwyn Azriel ship a thing?
She didn't remember who Gwyn was because she read ACOSF immediately when it first came out and hasn't reread since, but that's beside the point.
Then I did some more digging. Apparently a bonus chapter existed which made things more clear? I read it. Still did not understand where the ship came from. If anything, it only cemented Elriel endgame for me.
I said okay, maybe I'm being biased? I made my friend read the BC - she did not even know it existed and she literally has been reading the series since it came out in like 2015 or whatever
But again, that's beside the point.
And before anyone even argues, she was a strong Elucien supporter and would argue with me "no they are mates Elriel is not a thing". I made her read the bonus chapter and she immediately switched to Elriel. She said "yeah ok - there's no going back from that one". She also, did not view the Gwynriel interaction as romantic in any way.
I really don't know where Gwynriel came from. Like I've said over and over again - I understand Elucien. They are canonically mates. A mating bond is all they have, but until disproven, it still counts.
Gwynriel doesn't have that. They barely even interact on the page.
I don't know if it's because people hate elain, or they ship Azriel with themselves and they can't relate to Elain so "hey, here's another attractive straight girl boss I can pretend is me", or they ship Elucien and need Azriel out of the way đ€·đ»ââïž
Gwynriels literally KNOW there is nothing romantic between the two currently. Their entire ship is based on this concept of "well it could happen" or "what if". That's why I don't take it seriously. They have very limited info about both Gwyn and Azriel and they have allowed their imaginations to fill in the blanks. Then the ship gained popularity and their imaginative scenarios got repeated enough that people began to think that was actually in the books. Then they got confident and began to yell their made up scenarios louder in the fandom.
Most of Gwynriel is rooted in imaginative headcanons. They saw any mention of Gwyn or Azriel and began to fill in the blanks themselves. Aka Azriel trying to excuse himself by saying "I have to go over daggers with Gwyn" suddenly wasn't just an excuse and actually a secret planned date between the two where she got "private dagger lessons" and they talked for hours or whatever. It became real to them even if it didn't exist in the books. They didn't do any fact checking before repeating their HCs over and over until it became the truth to them. And then they went on other shipping posts and started fights over their fake recollection of canon.
Literally just last week, I saw a post about how Gwyn only blushes for Azriel she has feelings for him. That never happened. She blushed for Rhysand, not Azriel.
But the thing is, just because you say something louder than someone else, doesn't mean you are correct.
I really don't engage with Gwynriels because half of them have admitted they haven't even read the books, just the bonus chapter. Or they've just read ACOSF.
Either way, I just see it as a crackship. If they ship it because they find it cute, sure whatever. If they're more active in the fandom, I just scroll past their posts and don't engage. I don't see where they are coming from and they're not going to see Elriel so there's no point trying to convince anyone at this point.

California Dreamin'- The beach boys
Seo Changbin with California Dreamin from the Beach boys for the fall series
Genre: Angst, hurt/no comfort
Warnings: none really, reader is just a shitty person
Wordcount: 808w
a/n: this req, by @lina-linny as it seems we are getting lot more angst than fluff in the fall series lol. I'm working on it alrrr. I have some fluff in mind too, (hehe spoiler its with lix) So now as always, take ur blanket, a hot cocoa (or a coffee, man i'm craving coffee rn (no i didn't drink two cups just an hour ago)) And have a cozy falll <333
Chills went through Changbins body as he walked on the little side path, the wind seeping into his bones. When he was looking around he saw all the trees, leaves being brown, seemingly lifeless. Just like he felt. And the weather wasnât the best for a walk either. The sky was grey. Heavy, dark clouds hovering above changbins head. With some luck he could make it home before it would start to rain. He wrapped his jacket around himself a bit tighter, watching his breath come out in little white clouds.
People were passing by, leaves were falling down, and everyone seemed to be distracted from the coldness. But changbin could never ignore it. The heavy, cold air, and his frozen hands were only a sharp reminder to you, and California. Yes, while he was here, freezing in the streets of seoul, you were in the oh so beautiful california. Â When he only was thinking of the sunshine and the warm breeze there it was shaking him already. But not only the warmth of sunshine was missing for him. It was your warm hand in his. Your sunny, comforting presence next to him, that made every single day seem less cold. But what could he do? He couldnât just fly over to california, all his responsibilites were laying on him heavily, and with the comeback album and the upcoming tour he could never leave the boys alone. And even if heâd come, would it change something between you?
But he also couldnât convince you to come back. Not right now. You hated the cold. And probably him too right now. He didnât even want to think of your last words before you flew off to your beloved hometown L.A.. It didnât matter now anyway. What mattered was that you left him, here alone on seouls street in the sharp cold. Without you there to warm him, and giggle about how he would blow warm air into his hands he slowly began to despise the cold just as much as you did.
But all he could do about it was to wait. To wait and hope you would come back. Maybe in spring, when it was getting warmer again. Maybe in summer, or maybe just anytime soon. He never entirely understood why you left. When you announced you would, he was apologizing a thousand times, not even knowing what for. He was making even more time for you, if that was somehow possible, since all his free time was already yours. Could he have done more? He didnât know. And maybe he never would. All you said was that you âneeded spaceâ, right after you complained to him about how he was not giving you enough attention. After that, he knew that all that were just excuses for you to leave, altough never entirely admitting it to himself. He didnât know if space was for you to stay away for a few days or weeks, or just your way of breaking up with him.
The cold was getting suffocating, and it felt as if it only added to his heavy, anxious thoughts. There was a little church by the sidewalk. He didnât think much into it and just went in, hoping the cold would be less intese in there.
He got down to his knees pretending to pray. It just didnât feel right to use the church only to clear his thoughts or make the cold go away. Especially when a preacher was standing in the front oft he church, a few people listening.
But now, without the walking it only got colder. Until now, Changbin still tried to talk your actions and words good, to somehow romanticize everything, but now, as the  cold seeped not only into his bones, also into his mind, he started to see clear. Your words were an excuse to leave. And nothing more. An excuse to maybe come back, or maybe not. It was all in your own hands, and options were open for you, since you could do your job from everywhere too, and your family would surely like if youâd stay in california. But deep inside he probably knew you werenât gonna come back. And somewhere in him, he promised himself to let you go, to not wait for you forever, with no idea if youâd come back or not.
But in this moment, he could feel the cold stone under his knees, hear the wind howl around the walls of the little church, and smell the cold autumn. In this moment, all he could do was dream of california, of you. If he was there with you right now, he would be way warmer for sure. But this wasnât going to happen. And sooner or later he had to accept that. He had to stop with the california dreamin somedayâŠ

ive been taking some haphazard character notes on the wyrdwood PCs for my own reference (mainly was trying to figure willowfine out, lol), and i figured i would share my observations for any other fan writers who has been struggling with characterization :] these notes arent in any particular order, not even in chronological order of me adding them, just kind of random XD
obviously i am not Word Of God, these are just my interpretations of what we've seen!! ive been of the opinion that capturing somebody's way of speaking is more useful than their personality ultimately, but i'm bad at explaining my observations for that, so i guess ignore that i said that and just read my personality notes hfkhdkjhfgfkdg and also, spoilers warning for up to episode three
Cressida
Wizard: Quite smart, had to learn her magic
Learned magic from her family, mostly used to prevent robbers at their family bank
Lawful evil confirmed :]
Haughty and spoiled, judgmental
SNARKY. INSTIGATOR. (affectionate)
However, lied and said that Robinâs âwineâ was alright
Self-confessed as nosy, and is quite observant
Likes wine, fresh fruit, roasted vegetables
Easily disgusted, was alarmed by the violence in episode one, startled by the weevils in episode two
Panics easily, seems unused to hardship, and is cowardly
Ellen had to really consider if Cressida had ever been in a working kitchen before
Tries to use charisma often. Does not tend to work despite her stats
Will accumulate magic debt to not sit on mud, but has glamped!
Happen
Ranger: In tune with nature, has sprites
Sharpshooter, has a good eye and a steady hand
Very trusting, probably sheltered
Places a lot of faith in his goddess, believes in fate
Praise Cadence!
The only thing that he has to begrudgingly be okay with is his sprites getting captured
A little freak. Actually a pretty big freak.
Obsessive, gets attached easily
Doesnât get upset, really, even when people are rude to him
Doesnât think much about consequences, or perhaps isnât meant to care
Very soft voice, a bit scratchy
Just kind of says things, very little filter
Lug
Barbarian: Passive-aggressive <3
SO unlucky. So so so unlucky
Very in tune with nature
Isolationist and quiet, but not bad with people (when theyâre not hunting him for being a firbolg)
Doesnât know other firbolgs
Seems naturally protective
Comes to Cressidaâs aid without question, jumps out of the wagon to protect Michael and his dad whose name I cannot spell (Yophie?)
Lives in âan extremely small hovel in the woodsâ
Very knowledgeable, generally the most aware of whatâs happening
Comes with the pass-agg of it all but heâs very grumpy, a bit mean (affectionate)
Takes the jobs heâs given quite seriously
Morven
Sorcerer: Her talent is natural, might be used to things going her way
Likes coffee. Probably more for staying awake than taste, but asks for it over other options
Does not like letting Robin take control
Inquisitive; first one to say that they should stay in Oakburn and investigate
Very stubborn, may have a problem with moving on from things
Was executed for dark magic by zealots
Immediately takes charge when given the option
Does NOT care about debt, does not think about consequences
Self-confessedly impatient. Called cranky by the others
Absolutely BRUTAL but takes care of her party members
Robin
Commoner: Just some guy
Likes honey :)
"Cress" he's so cute <3
Defensive of ostracized people, dislikes zealots
Impulsive and follows his heart, hops into conflict without much thought
Just a good guy!
A little desperate to be helpful
Does not like letting Morven take control
Distressed at the thought of murder
Easily impressed
Curious about others, starts the wagon talk in Howls In The Night
Good with kids, generally sweet to most people he meets
Willowfine
Cleric: Follows a goddess
Is open about thinking her goddess is more useful than Cadence
Strong feelings about the well-being of magic
Sweet and caring
Looked pained at having to agree that Cressida insulted Oakburnâs food
Can be blunt despite this, doesnât mince her words
Somewhat stilted and quiet, possibly sheltered or under-socialized
Intense with her care
If sheâs asked to do something, she just does it
Quick thinker, resorts to lying/acting her way out of things
From a matriarchal society
