Retention and Drainage Program in the Paper Industry: Advance Chemicalsâ Solution
In the paper industry, the retention and drainage program is a critical aspect of the papermaking process. The goal is to maximize the retention of fibers and fillers, minimize the amount of fines and debris, and improve the drainage rate of the paper machine. This results in a higher quality paper with improved strength, brightness, and overall appearance.
Advance Chemicals is a leading provider of retention and drainage solutions for the paper industry. The company offers a comprehensive program designed to improve the efficiency of the papermaking process and produce high-quality paper.
The retention and drainage program by Advance Chemicals is based on a combination of advanced chemical technologies, process optimization, and expert application support. The program includes a range of products specifically designed for the paper industry, including retention aids, drainage aids, and coagulants.
Retention aids are chemicals that are added to the papermaking process to increase the retention of fibers and fillers. They help to prevent fines and debris from escaping the paper machine and promote the formation of a uniform sheet. Drainage aids are added to the process to improve the flow of water and reduce the formation of debris, resulting in a faster drainage rate and a cleaner sheet.
Coagulants are used to control the charge of the fibers and fillers in the papermaking process. They help to prevent the formation of flocs and promote a uniform sheet. The coagulants used in the retention and drainage program by Advance Chemicals are carefully selected to minimize any negative impact on the papermaking process and produce a high-quality product.
In addition to the chemical products, Advance Chemicals also provides expert application support. The companyâs experienced technicians work with papermakers to optimize the process, providing advice on product selection, dosages, and application methods. This ensures that the retention and drainage program is tailored to the specific needs of each customer and produces the best results.
In conclusion, the retention and drainage program by Advance Chemicals is a comprehensive solution designed to improve the efficiency of the papermaking process and produce high-quality paper. according to ExploreDPRK.com
now this effort is being rolled out nationwide, under the Regional Development 20Ă10 Policy. this scheme aims to to build industrial âmodernized factoriesâ in 20 cities and counties per year over the next 10 years. this will see more jobs created and increased access to a variety of goods spread out across the country:
The Kimhwa County Foodstuff Factory, with its state-of-the-art facilities and hygiene standards, plays a key role in elevating local peopleâs quality of life. YUUâS INTERVIEW:
â Scarabia Dorms - Nikoâs Room â
for easier reading, all yuu dialogue will be in italics and all niko dialogue will be in a normal black font instead of green.
There you are. Surprised you came to visit me, Carrots.
> You know what Iâm here for, Niko.
> Why are you surprised?
No need to act like that. Interview, right? Or should I say an interrogation? If you wanted to hang out with me, you didnât need to hide around the bush, you knowâŚ
Itâs cute seeing you all dodgy, but still. âĄ
> I think it matches your vibe.
> Youâre one to talk.
Yeah, yeah. How many questions do we have planned for today? Donât take too long, now. Iâve gotta start pumping out those treats for my profit.
âŚOh. No need to worry about a pen and paper, Iâve got one for you.
> I didnât expect for you to be so prepared.
> (âŚTheyâre cuter than expected.)
Something something about matching the vibes⌠Theyâre modeled after an old movie about cops and so, interrogating. Figured youâd like them. A carrot for Carrots. Itâs cute.
Itâs about time to start though, huh?
> Yeah.
> No more wasting time.
INTERVIEW: START!
1. Can we get some basic info about you from⌠you?
A second year Scarabia student whoâs a fox beastman. I guess Iâm what youâd call a charmer, thief of the heart, man of your dreams⌠Iâve heard it all. But the real nameâs Niko. Niko Cimarron. My surname means âWildâ, so you could call me Mr. Wild if you like that too. Heh, actually, itâs a business thing, so I guess youâd only call me that if you bought my products⌠Say, Carrots, you feeling like you need a snack? I have some lefties if youâd like.
> No thanks.
> Why not?
Theyâre tasty, I prommie~.
2. Speaking of which, what are your âpawpsiclesâ made from? How do you make them?
Those little things? Why, Iâll let you know I put my blood, sweat, and tears in those treats. Makes me happy to see other people happy, like the faces on a thaumark. To make âem, itâs just some tasty berries from the school grounds that get mushed up to get juice, where they go into a mold and freeze up. Itâs hard work! Iâve gotta walk so many steps around the school and all across campus⌠Youâre lucky you never saw me in my first year. Took me a while to get used to the schedule⌠Though, Iâm a well-organized man now, Iâll have you know. Itâs good for the public image.
3. Youâre from the Shaftlands, arenât you? Do you have any connections to Vil, Cater, or Jack?
Connections? I have them with everyone, really⌠though I donât think those three are really aware I came from the same place as them. To be fair, the Shaftlands is a pretty big area. People even go as far to call it a utopia.
If anything, Iâve talked to Diamond more at NRC than anywhere in the Shaftlands. Is that because I never even saw him once? Maybe. So I canât say about back then, but I can enjoy a good conversation with him now. Heâs a good customer and a good influencer. Back then, he got me a good chunk of costumers off of a Magicam post, so Iâve got to give it to him. Who knew people could just follow trendy things at the drop of a hat? Crazy, right?
Vil is a major celebrity, and Jack, I didnât even know existed âtill this year. Iâve got nothing to say about Mr. Hardhead, but Iâve had my fair share of talks with Vil. When we were kids, I got a wave from him once⌠It was great bragging rights. Heh, he kinda freaks me out now though. The reason why I donât actually participate in club activities. Heâs probably too high of a standard for a lowlife like me, so itâs not something that bothers me anyway.
4. You donât seem to have a Unique Magic. Any reason why?
Ah. Magic? A little bit of a sour topic for me, Carrots, ow⌠Iâm just a late bloomer, is all. Iâve got magic in me, but I never played around with it when I was younger, so Iâm way more rusty than all of the other guys here. It doesnât mean I donât know the brain stuff, though. Just inexperienced.
If Iâm being dead honest, itâs kind of a miracle how I got into NRC. I guess they wanted the fox vote, huh? Heh.
5. Not sure if Iâve seen you around a lot with one particular person. Is there a secret someone?
Secret someone? Getting jealous, are you? Haha, I wouldâve never taken you to be the type!
> Not the focus of the question.
> Thatâs notâŚ!
Itâs your fault for wording it like that. Youâve got to watch your words, Carrots. Well, the business life is a cold one, isnât it? Being around a bunch of highschool guys isnât really the âidealâ grounds for making business partners either, so it is what it is. At least this way, I get all the profits, so I donât mind. If you want, I can save a spot for you by my side. âĄ
> Again, no thanks.
> Maybe after I get a break from all the things this school brings.
Keep me in mind~.
6. Our last question. You say a lot of random stuff. People get annoyed with it pretty often. How do you feel about that?
âŚ? Oh, you picked up on it, huh? Heh, I mean⌠I guess I could come clean. I think itâs interesting you havenât walked away from me yet, yâknow. Usually people arenât into this stuff.
> You are annoying, butâŚ
> (Would it be mean to say something?)
I appreciate you, Carrots. A little too much than Iâd like.
Usually people donât really like the stereotypical foxiness I bring to the table. They run away because Iâm either something they donât wanna get mixed up with, or just something they donât like. I think youâre a weirdo whoâs looking for entertainment when you come into my room and talk to me like this.
âŚBut I guess that just means that you like the way I talk to you, right? You canât get enough? Is that whatâs happening here? âĄ
> For a second, I thought you were going to need some comfort, but I guess not.
> Really, itâs fine, NikoâŚ
Donât pretend like your cheeks arenât a little red. I like the reactions I get out of you. âĄ
Is that all you wanted? Yeah? Alright, weâre done here, then. Hand me the pen, would ya?
> It was nice being able to talk to you like this.
> (That was a quick turnaround.)
âŚYeah. Hurry on up, shouldnât you be studying up on actual things worth studying? Live up to that Smarty McSmart Pants title. Bye-bye now~.
INTERVIEW: END!
> (I feel like Nikoâs more than meets the eye.)
> (I feel like Nikoâs⌠hiding something.)
.

TRIVIA:
Niko is twisted off of Nick Wilde from Zootopia!
Niko is actually magicless. Not entirely, as he does have some running in his blood, so he didnât lie, but itâs not enough where he can successfully conjure spells. Because of this, at NRC, he often has to get by with con-artist type excuses and acts. It works most of the time, as he has Crowleyâs support. For now, heâs getting by with the excuse of being a late bloomer, but Iâm sure suspicions are beginning to rise⌠Perhaps, if it were to be found out that heâs unable to conjure spells, he would be kicked out of NRC.
He made it to NRC after being dared to attempt to con his way in by his magicless best friend. His name is not noted, but heâs a very angry and violent French fennec fox. Niko is often bullied by him.
He can be considered a fan of Vil.
Niko enjoys the pop genre a lot, but is embarrassed to admit it.
Despite being a playboy, Niko is easily flustered at the thought of someone seriously making moves on him.
Niko can also count as a bit of a heartbreaker. For the romantics around the school, everyone knows Niko as that kid whoâll charm you for a week and leave you heartbroken when he inevitability rejects you. Itâs not anything against anybody, really, but more so the fact that Niko canât ever imagine dating someone before he tells them his secret. It feels unfair to him. But people take offense to it nonetheless, the heartbroken people usually cutting Niko off as soon as they figure out that there wonât be anything working between them.
Because of the way some people leave him as soon as they sense no romance, Niko finds the concept of love to be sort of flaky. It takes a while for him to develop a crush, despite his flighty, flirty attitude.
Due to being a class 2-A student, Niko often ends up selling his treats most often there. Kalim and Silver are his number one customers, as Kalim buys bundles of them to give to Scarabia members, and Silver buys them for Lilia to enjoy.
Niko attends the Playful Land event and ends up staying in contact with Fellow Honest afterwards. This relationship ends up contributing a lot to Nikoâs development.
Even though he doesnât want to, he feels obligated to play into the deceitful foxiness of himself, because thatâs what people naturally expect of him. It stops them from getting curious about him, as it seems like theyâve already got him figured out.
He says things that are considered shallow, like flirting or bargaining because he wants to get a reaction out of people. Niko does small things like this for small reactions â enough of these small reactions will fulfill the same satisfaction of seeing someone he loves flustered or happy, he thinks. In truth, he knows it wonât amount to much. Niko tries to satisfy himself enough so that he wonât need the real thing.
Niko feels very guilty for deceiving everyone at NRC, especially the prefect. Even still, he doesnât have the heart to tell them that he truly doesnât belong here, taking up a spot possibly for somebody who deserves it much more.
Nikoâs way of thinking suggests that if he acts distasteful enough, it will cause people to stray far away from him. He believes that he really is just a lowlife fox, but the truth of his actions is something he think people would hate him for most; living in a lie. Because of this, he acts like a playboy and an annoyance in attempts to get people to stay away, preventing them from finding out the even uglier truth of him.
Additionally, heâs afraid to have the truth leak out because he doesnât want to leave NRC. Though he doesnât have much, he doesnât want to lose the little bit he does have, and the little bits he keeps on gaining.
Even still, Niko craves for someone who will take time to understand him. Which is why heâs so attached to the prefect.
More to be added!
^ the pawpsicle icons in this relationship chart represent whether if the character is an avid pawpsicle enjoyer (has the icon), has experienced it once but never had it again (once!), and if they have never had it.

A Spider's Web [Geto Suguru]
an: an entire rework of a story written way back in '22. I've changed a few things and tightened it up a little more. Sometimes I can't tell if I'm into Suguru or not... he is very compelling.
pairing: Geto Suguru x female reader
warnings: dark content, kinda yandere Suguru, corruption, abuse of power, doctor/patient relationship, obsessive behaviour, manipulation, handjob, messy first blowjob, pussy fingering, pussy eating, unprotected sex, cumshot, cum eating
Masterlist
Depraved, vile and manipulativeâall accurate. Suguru should feel some semblance of shame, or at the very least guilt, but not even an ounce of it existed in the twisted labyrinth of his mind.Â
He was well aware of the superiority complex that plagued him, which was why he had found himself in the medical field and was the reason his private practice was considered the top in his specialty. Geto Suguru was considered the best psychiatrist in the city, perhaps even one of the top in the country.
From his position of power, Dr Geto should be helping you overcome your issues in a healthy, sustainable manner as he did for his other clients, but instead, he was trying to use your insecurities to crawl inside your pants.
Depraved.
A thick finger dragged across the loose-leaf papers that made up your file, eyeing the snapshot of your shy face that was clipped to your introductory questionnaire. He smiled at how you made reluctant eye contact with the camera, a camera his secretary had held aloft in the sanctity of the waiting room whilst he watched from the doorway to his office.
You were the perfect embodiment of a people pleaser, a diagnosis he had made within the first two minutes of meeting you. A meek flower that would only open like an exquisite rare bloom under certain conditions and Suguru was more than a little obsessed.
It was childâs play to identify the toxic trait in himself, the dark urge within his psyche that drove him forward and overrode the sane part of his brain that warned him to stop. To stop before he took it too far, stop before he did something he might regret.
It was too late for that.
The second he had checked out your social media pages, he had edged his toe over the line of professional decency; after that, he had tumbled headfirst down the rabbit hole and there would be no saving him.
He knew all the people you called friends, and the family members that you worked so hard to keep in touch with despite how sick it made you feel when that enthusiasm wasnât reciprocated. More so, he took note of the men who were desperately trying to pursue you even though your complete naivety towards them and their attempts kept them at bay.Â
Of course, you spoke about many of them in your weekly sessions, but you didnât know that he had clicked on every profile available to him. Admired the photos and saved his favourites on his personal computer. Dr Geto had an entire file on you that had nothing to do with your patient fileâŚ
Fisting his cock he pumped in steady but quick pulls, tugging himself closer to the brink of ecstasy whilst he imagined you kneeling beneath his desk. Batting those innocent doe eyes as if you didnât know how fucking pretty you were. Wearing those perfectly decent, âIâm a good girlâ skirts and always ensuring you tucked the material tight against your thighs when you sat on his plush couch.
Would your skin burn with heat when your lips wrapped around his swollen tip? Would you grimace at the salty taste of his arousal on your tongue?Â
Vile.
Suguruâs head rolled against the head support of his chair at the thought. The idea that he might convince you to relieve the sinful ache in his heavy balls was a heady one. The product of weeks of planting the seedling and watering it with more and more inappropriate chat and suggestions.
There were only minutes until your session was scheduled to begin, it was a race against the clock. A sprint finish to release the demons burning their hellfire in his soul and to ensure that he remained merciful for at least another week.Â
It had become a game to him, this little charade of fucking into his fist mere minutes before you arrived to quell his desire to see you broken by his will. He could do it, it would be nothing to him and that was why he had to deter those whims. He pictured the filthy acts he would coerce you into doing with the faintest shift in his tone and that was enoughâfor nowâit had to be enough.
Suguru rocked backwards, a slight squeak from his desk chair and his hips drove up to meet his hand. His palm twisted atop his weeping cockhead, and his sensitive skin twitched from the sensation. He was so close. He bit down on his lip until there was a tang of iron on his tongue, all whilst an image of your tear-filled eyes flitted across his mind's eye.Â
The intercom on his desk blared to life and midnight eyes snapped open in an angry startle. The breathy voice of his sickly sweet and simpering receptionist announced your arrival and he cursed beneath his breath. Fuck!
Ire exploded through his body, filling him with potent venom as he tucked himself back into his pants and fixed himself to hide the painful erection. Growling the instruction to send you in, he cleaned his hands and threw the used tissue into the trash. He knew that events would not unfold well for you today, this extra session that you had implored him was absolutely necessary earlier in the week was about to turn into something altogether wicked and it was your faultâŚ
Manipulative.
You couldnât deny how a sense of calm descended upon you the very moment you stepped into the softly lit office. The smile of the receptionist was genuine, the abundance of plant life in the waiting area and the low melody of music settled your nerves just as you had hoped.
Dr Geto was a genius, a prophet, a God.
His every word, you hung upon with a fascination worthy of a disciple. You had a crush on your psychiatristânoâthat wasnât right. This was no crush, it was a deep infatuation and there was no cure. The real problem was that you didnât recognise that you were obsessed with the clever man and that made things all the more dangerous.
Sure, he was attractive.
A little older than you were but he maintained a youthful physique and there was not a single line or wrinkle on his sharp, angular face.
You had often wondered if his hair would feel as soft and silky as it looked, the vast length more often than not tucked up into a top knot and you itched to touch it one dayâto run your fingers through it even.
Yet, what attracted you most was the brain behind the looks, the insights and the words of advice that always hit their mark. Dr Geto was a genius and you revered him as a God.
The problem was, that he knew it...
Why did you need this extra session? You stumbled to remember the hastily fumbled words from the telephone conversation earlier this week. Something about your manager, something clearly trivial if you had already forgotten but you were happy to see your handsome doctor so soon after your last visit.
There was a sense of something different in the air this dark stormy afternoon. Rain lashed the windows that lined his snug office, the vibrant orange leaves of fall dulled by a persistent gloom that fell over the skies like a heavy woollen blanket. Even the eyes that observed you when you entered his room seemed distant, unattached and cool.
It made you frown. Your lips tugged down in one fell swoop and a lead weight filled your stomach. You failed to notice that your frown had brought a hint of a smile to his lips, those sweeping lines curved into something sinister but you were too busy trying to figure out how to lift his mood to realise that you were already doing so.
The normal routine of your session began in earnest, recapping the last visit and going over the small tasks he had assigned as âhomeworkâ along with the results and observations.Â
Speaking to Dr Geto was always nerve-wracking, you worried youâd say something wrong, that heâd think you dumb or inept but you stumbled on because he wanted you to. Everything that you did, every word or confession you spilt and every action you took outside of his office was a direct response to his wishes.Â
Sure, it was meant to be for your benefit but the euphoria that laced your blood when he offered a genuinely pleased smile was enough to make you feel drunk. The biggest rush of endorphins filled your head when you received that hit of pleasure from his happiness, but that was the problem. You should be finding pleasure in your happiness and not in others. Wasnât that one of the reasons you had started therapy?
âWhy are you here today?â He asked and the abruptness of the question knocked you sideways. Your fingers twisted into the pleats of your skirt, inadvertently raising the hem and gifting your dutiful doctor a rare glimpse of the tops of your thighs.
âI-I donât really remember the reason, it seemed so crucial at the time but now that Iâm here⌠Iâm sorry. Iâm wasting your time, arenât I?â
It was a statement you made with alarming regularity, never believing yourself to be worthy of someoneâs time and attention even when you were paying for it. You expected the normal reassurance that he was here for you, that you were his patient and he was in no way imposed by your requirements, but it didnât come.
âYes, it seems that way.â His cheek rested against his fist, a mean smile dancing on his lips despite the air of stiff indifference surrounding him and it sent you reeling.Â
Reeling to fix your mistake, to please him, to make it so that you werenât wasting his time. Anxiety turned your blood icy, the slosh of it burning your veins and bringing tears to your eyes. This was your worst nightmare come true. You were a burden. A troublesome woman who couldnât go two minutes without reassurance.
The wobble of your bottom lip and the way your fingers fidgeted quicker and quicker in your lap, it was enough to make him want to push you back against the sunshine-yellow couch you sat upon. To pull you down and straddle your chest just to watch your eyes turn wide when he pressed his aching cockhead against those plump, wobbly lips.
Schooling his features, Suguru sighedâdeep and heavyâhis eyes stared towards the ceiling whilst he did his best to ignore the pitiful display you were putting on. The wringing of your hands and your knees that bashed into one another as you squirmed like a worm caught on a hook. It was an apt metaphor, he certainly was baiting you, you simply didnât know it.
âFunny isnât it?â
âWhat is?â you squeaked in response, your voice high and needy.
A finger idly traced the open page of the notebook he always held on the arm of his chair. He waited until your gaze fell on his wandering digit. Snaring your attention with the slow methodical movement, as if he were tracing lines of text when in reality the page was naked.
âHm⌠this persistent need to please others, the desire that you feel to ensure that everyone else is happy even at your own expense, and you donât show me the same courtesy. Me your ever-dutiful doctor.â
âI-I donâtââ you managed to stammer, floundering in your thoughts. You silenced abruptly when the man you usually looked up to as a genius snapped his fingers.
âI am still talking and you are listening,â he stated coolly.Â
He paused for a second, testing to make sure you understood. âNot only are you encroaching on an afternoon that I had planned to keep free, but you are also five minutes early and I didnât get to finish.â
Every synapse in your brain fired at full tilt, scrambling for context clues as to what he possibly could mean by âdidnât get to finishâ. What on earth could that possibly mean?
Your heart sank into your toes. Your eyes swivelled the width of his office but nothing seemed out of place. The space was uncluttered as usual, only then did you notice the open manila folder on his desk, a photo that appeared oddly familiar barely visible from this angle.
âItâs your file, I was perusing the contents before I was so rudely interrupted,â Dr Geto explained, noticing your squinting eyes and the crane of your neck towards his desk. Somehow the word âperusingâ did not sound as innocent as it should and you squirmed further in your seat.
âShould I go?â you asked timidly, yet every part of you screamed to stay. You would be miserable if you were to leave here with things unresolved, with someone unhappy with youâhow unthinkable!
The good doctor smirked behind his hand, eyes remaining cool and unreadable as he fixed them on your agitated posture. If he asked you to kneel on the floor and then roll over like an obedient puppy, you would do it without question. It was a euphoric feeling, the power he wielded over you, and his tongue swiped a path across his lower lip in anticipation. The heaviness in his balls urged him onward, but this was not something to be rushed, he would savour corrupting you wholly.
Ignoring your pathetic question, he posed his own. âTell me, have you ever orgasmed from sex? Did you stop seeing that man we discussed previously?â
You slouched on the couch, fingers still nervously fidgeting and your brow lowered whilst you attempted to keep up with this erratic session. It was like nothing you had ever experienced, but you couldnât help but bask in the knowledge that he remembered discussing your ex, even though it was his job to do so.
âUh, well⌠no. Never with someone, but I donât know what that hasââ
His teeth clicked in annoyance, a warning shot in your direction, his fingers steepled beneath his chin. âIâll be the one asking the questions, and I donât believe youâve answered one of themâŚâ
âI'm not seeing him anymore,â you murmured into your chest.
Thatâs what he wanted to hear, the unfettered joy that burst in his chest at that knowledge only adds fuel to the fire raging in his mind. No one other than he should be allowed the divine right to your pleasure, that was his job and he wanted to praise you. To tell you what a good girl you were for listening to his advice. Advice that had been for your benefit, if you squinted, but was more a selfish desire of his own.
Suguruâs already straining cock thickened upon hearing the news, the expensive slacks digging against his sensitive shaft and he wanted badly to release some of his pent-up frustration and discomfort.
âCome here,â he demanded with the merest flick of his finger. His voice softened, a reward for your answers and for following his guidance. You were so very affected by speech and he adored that about you.
You were a foal walking for the very first time as you stood and took the three shaky steps it took to stand before his chair. Under the change in his tone, you bloomed, heat caressed your smooth skin and he let a low hum of appreciation puff through his lips.
Dressed in his usual black pants and black dress shirt, you tried not to admire his physique but it was an impossible feat. He was your psychiatrist, it was not okay to lust after a man who was a care provider as well as being likely a man with a loving partner at homeânot that you had ever dared to ask.Â
Shocked was a pale comparison to how you felt when the man shrouded in the shadow of your body, slid his hands to the belt around his waist. He unbuckled it with deft fingers which you watched in riveted fascination whilst your nerves ratcheted up to a new level of anxiety.
âW-what are you doing?â
âShowing you my cock, little one. I know youâve seen one before. That youâve felt one between your legs. You told me that man made you touch him, didnât he?â
The words were said so matter of factly, as if this were some standard practice and for a brief moment you wondered if it was and that you were the one being weird for freaking out. How twisted around his pinky finger you wereâŚ
He sighed when the cool air kissed his weeping cockhead, the relief of freeing himself from the pressure of his clothes was intense and he gave one lazy pump of his length whilst he waited for your reaction.
Your eyes were as big and round as dinner plates, transfixed by his cock and that only stroked his ego further. The angry purple tip looked almost painful, veins thick and stark on his tawny skin and the weight of him pulled his dick down to smack against his thigh.
âDr GetoâŚâ
âSuguru. Right here and now, Iâd like for you to call me Suguru. Do you understand?â
Blinking rapidly, your gaze rose from the sight of what could only be described as a fearsome-looking cock, and met eyes of potent liquorice. You tested the name in your head, Suguru, it sounded so fitting and at long last, you knew his given name and had been givenânoâcommanded to use it.
âSu-Suguru.â Despite the stammer, it sounded like perfection to his ear. He couldnât wait to hear it from your sweet lips when he made you cry it out in ecstasy. Heâd purr like a contented cat, and he would but later.
âGood girl,â he soothed. His free hand coiled around your wrist, tugging it away from the pleats of your skirt but his motions were gentle, testing.
âDid you fist his cock like this? Did you feel how hot and heavy the skin down here is? How the veins pulse as a man nears his peak?â
Your head shook, once then again.
In truth, you had been afraid that your then-boyfriend would be mad at you. Only giving the most cursory of touches to his far less impressive dick before he had taken over and you had simply watched. It had been fascinating at the time, and yet you hadnât felt the inclination to join in. It was the same during intercourse, you were a participant but never felt actively there. There was no lack of consent to speak of, but a piece of you had remained locked behind an iron gate, unable to enjoy the act and only faking the noises you had heard from lacklustre porn.
Suguru pointed to the spot on the floor between his thighs, spreading himself wider in the chair and rolling his hips forward. You were kneeling before you even realised you were complying with the silent order, every inch of you shivered in anticipation of what he was going to do next.
Thick midnight hair fell most beautifully, the top knot pulled free and his hair draped over his shoulders. Transfixed by the lopsided grin and the calculating eyes that held you fast, you hadnât noticed that he was wrapping your fingers around his erection.
Heat, heavy and decadent seared your palm. You gasped at how velvety soft his skin felt under your touch, how prominent the veins were against your fingertips and how he twitched when you tightened your grip almost involuntarily.Â
Suguru fought against his desire to let his head drop back, for his neck to roll against the back of his chair at the simple act of you touching him like he had envisaged a million times prior. With his lower lip trapped by his teeth, he helped you find a slow rhythm. Giving you ample opportunity to explore him like he was some intriguing science experiment.
Dark laughter rumbled from his chest when you gasped at the sensation of the sticky silver strands that leaked from his slick-coated tip to your fingers. It was the first sign of you stopping, perhaps coming to your senses that this shouldnât be happening and he couldnât have that.
âYou'll taste it, won't you?â he grunted with a pout on his lips, daring you to even consider disobeying his wish. He was a monster for acting like this, to make you think you were bad for not considering his happiness.
You did indeed grimace at the bitter taste, two fingers pressed down on your pretty pink tongue and sampled the arousal that continued to leak from him in pearled beads.Â
The longer you savoured his unique flavour, the more you grew accustomed to it. Certainly, it wasnât some delicious taste but saliva pooled in your mouth, ropes of it connected your lips and fingers until they broke apart like spider webs under too much tension.
âYouâve no idea how damn attractive you are. I can barely stop myself from forcing those pretty lips open with my cock, to fuck that cute mouth until youâre gagging on it.â
Big doe eyes were his reward, your entire posture straightened as if you were lit up from his words, lewd though they may be. His hand stroked at the back of your head, brain running a mile a minute as he changed tack and fixed you with another slight pout.
âYouâll take care of me, wonât you, little one? My good girl is always so willing to make me happy. Thatâs it, baby. Just⌠like⌠that. Fuck.â
He guided your head down as he spoke, bending you to his will with effortless ease. Your mouth parted much like he knew your thighs would do soon enough and he groaned in delight the very second his aching tip grazed against a tentative silken tongue.Â
As much as he might want to see you ruined, mascara tracks down your cheeks mingled with fat tears, that would have to wait for another time. If he pushed too much youâd run and where would the fun be in that? He wished to corrupt you, sure, but he wasnât prepared to downright force you if you were unwilling.Â
It appeared that Dr Geto had some semblance of morals after all, twisted though they might be.
Youâd seen this act performed in porn and knew the mechanics of how it worked but it was quite different participating. Mere minutes into your first-ever blowjob and your jaw ached. Saliva escaped the sides of your mouth, and loud slurping noises made your skin heat up as your watery eyes strayed up.
His gaze was hooded, lips parted with pants of air passing through them every few seconds. When he locked eyes with you, he licked those devilish lips with a feline smile offered along with a soft groan.
âOh, my darling girl, youâre a natural. Donât fight it, relax. Let me feel your throat.â The praise was hissed through clenched teeth.
You fought down the instinct to reject the intrusion as it neared your throat, the muscles worked furiously and caused you to gag around him.
Shifting on your knees in discomfort, you blinked, letting the tears fall from your eyes. You gripped the base of his cock, squeezing roughly and heard him curse under his breath from the pressure. The nails from your free hand found purchase in the expensive material covering his thigh and bunched it in your frantic grip.
âFuck. Oh, sweet fucking Jesus. Sweetheart, stop. That is enough!â
Suguru was practically yelling as he ripped your mouth from his saliva-drenched cock, the wet disconnect of your concaved cheeks followed by your rasping breaths filled the silence that followed.
A mixture of your saliva and his precum dripped to his tightly drawn balls, a wet stain spreading on the chair beneath him and his cheeks flushed in reaction.
It took a moment to find composure. Idly he stroked your hair to ensure you knew he wasnât mad or displeased by your efforts, far from it. His palm traced your cheek, wiping away the remaining tears with his thumb. Gentle and reassuring, as if he werenât breaking every code of ethics going.
âI think this is the first session where I have said more than you, my dear. Iâd like the chance to make you feel good, will you let me do that? It would make me so very happy...â
Subconsciously your face had come to rest against the side of his knee, enjoying the soft petting and whispered words of praise more than you thought you ever would. Your dark God wanted to make you feel good, who were you to deny him that want? You were his disciple after all.
âI donât feel worthyâŚâ
He snorted. âNonsense. Iâve wanted to take you to hell before gifting you heaven since the very first moment you walked into my office.â
What an honour, to have been regarded so highly by the genius that was Dr Geto, it spoke to that part of your psyche that you were meant to be working on. It filled you with warmth, that deep-seated desire to feel wanted and needed. This was far from healthy, anyone would see that but you didn't have the luxury of that insight.
âIâd like that⌠Suguru.â
The smile he flashed at you was like staring at the devil himself. Shame, it was tinted by your reverence.
You could only watch as he slowly undressed, standing for a moment to step out of his pants and underwear before kneeling in front of you. His face was so close, reaching out for you and admiring your features with a reverential eye. His thumb stroked your jawline, ending with it dragging your lower lip down and you dared to nip at the rough textured pad.
Inching closer, warm breath that smelled faintly spicy and laced with traces of tobacco fanned your cheek and you couldnât bring yourself to look him in the eye. There was a tsk of admonishment followed by a gasp, your head tilted back with a sharp yank on your hair and you met the blazing stare of the man before you. Emotions were swirling in those polished obsidian irises that you couldnât begin to fathom, the serpents of his wicked intent but to you, they were pretty star-filled skies.
His mouth hovered above yours, waiting, ever the patient man and giving you this one final chance to push away. To come to your fucking senses and run for the hills. You should. You really should get out before it was too late. There was time⌠if you kissed him now, it was game over.Â
Yes, you held his cock in your fist and had taken him into your mouth but if you kissed him your fate would be sealed. Suguru conveyed this without saying a single word, he radiated his warning and demanded that you heed it.
You were the metaphorical shiny red apple, so perfect looking yet you were slowly rotting on the inside. The worm had found its way inside and was slowly eroding your purity, replacing it with sinful intentions and indecent thoughts. Who would have thought your handsome and prolific psychiatrist would be capable of such wickedness?
Time suspended when your lips met at long last, all soft touches at first, but quickly they turned heated and carnal. Suguru let you lead for a time, responding to the dance of your mouth but finally, he swept you into his arms on a whimpered sigh from your throat.Â
His strong arms pulled you closer, palms flush against your back and you could feel his slicked-up cock press snugly against your stomach. You only parted long enough for him to help you remove the sweater that covered your pretty dress, the straps of which were shoved down your arms until you could feel the cold air on your skin.
Suguru chased the chill from your flesh, his touch ignited every part of you he touched and there was a deep part of you that longed to push your fingers into his hair. Never one to do something purely for selfish means, you were emboldened by the lust that washed through you, the knot of tension that tugged behind your navel and you dared to do it. Your fingers speared into the masses of his thick raven hair, nails scratching against his scalp and you were pushed to the floor as he groaned into your mouth from the unexpected sensation.
A palm spread your thighs apart and you squealed into his mouth at the first touch of his hand against your underwear. Your cotton panties were drenched and you were beyond mortified. His tongue flicked lazily against the front of your teeth before retreating.
âIs this all for me? Iâm honoured.â Suguru traced the edge of your panties, hooking his thumbs behind the flimsy elastic band and tugging them down in swift movements. He knelt between your spread thighs and heat burst along your skin.
You covered your face with your palms, biting down on your fingers as the dark-haired male teased a sole finger along your slit. No one had touched you here like this other than yourself, you hadnât allowed it. Plenty had wanted to, but something always held you back, it never felt right. This shouldnât feel right, yet it did.
Strands of sticky arousal caked his finger in an instant, your hips rolled against the plush carpet and you watched through your fingers as he sucked that sticky finger entirely clean. It shouldn't make your insides squirm like a pit of writhing vipers, should it?
âKnew youâd taste sweeter than cream, you're gonna let me taste you properly, yeah?â he asked with a rasp, already lowering himself so his face peaked up from below the bunched skirt of your dress.
A quick nod and your back arched so high that you thought your spine might break clean in two. The fat stripe he licked along your folds curled your toes and your hands flew to his hair once more. Dark irises studied your expression, watched for every telltale sign of what you liked and stored it away for future use.
Your skin tasted more delicious than anything he had ever sampled, his nose nestled against the short curls at your mound and pressed against your bundle of nerves. He alternated between short sharp strokes of his tongue and long languid licks from below your clenching entrance right to your throbbing clit.
Suguru eased his fingers into your tight pussy, braced on one forearm that hooked around the outside of your hip. He held you down as best he could whilst you bucked and writhed as new sensations assaulted you from every direction.
You whined at the stretch from his digits but he refused to relent, knowing how much more the burn of his cock would feel without this much-needed prepping. How you managed to engage in sex without these pleasures was a mystery to him. No wonder you never enjoyed the experience.
He refused to acknowledge the warnings in the back of his mind, the way that he was becoming addicted to your scent and taste. He ignored how fucking amazing you made him feel every time you tugged on his hair or called his name out when you experienced something new. You were so responsive to his every touch, you were made for him and he would make you his before the day was out.
âDonât hold back, darling, cum for me. You can do it, just let go.â
Suguru quickened the thrust of his fingers, curling them further to press down against the spot that was swelling from his expert attention. The very second his lips attached to your clit, you exploded like the most magnificent firework.Â
Never had he heard such colourful language from you before, the cacophony of curses mingled with his name and the offerings to a God he did not believe in. His fingers were practically thrown from your pussy, the walls clenching down so tightly and the slippery release enough to make his eyes momentarily widen before he could compose himself.Â
What a sight.
His innocent patient lying spread out on the floor of his office, hair fanning your head like an angelâs halo and your breasts close to spilling over the soft cups of your bra. Translucent arousal covered your thighs, the skin shiny and he had half a mind to simply lick you clean, but there were more pressing matters to attend to first.
It was evident you were still riding your orgasm, lip tightly tucked between your teeth and each gentle touch of his hands made you whimper and jerk. Suguru kissed a path up your torso, leaving sticky patches of your essence on your collarbone and neck as he lowered himself atop you.
His cock slid with ease along your messy folds, toying with you for only long enough to steal more kisses and interlock your fingers beside your head. This was the moment he had waited for, had hoped would come and after nearly a year, you were going to be his.
âWill you let me fuck your cute pussy, sweetheart?â he asked and almost immediately balked at himself. Why the fuck was he giving you an out, now? He should be splitting you open like he needed to, not asking for your fucking permission.
Suguru breathed a sigh of relief as you nodded shyly, gazing at him softly from below your lashes. You had just cum all over his face and fingers and yet you still looked like the most timid little flowerâperfection.
Without a second's hesitation, he pressed forward, the pressure against his thick tip enough to make him grunt like an animal. He rocked himself back and forth, opening you further with each new thrust of his hips. You whimpered, whined and pressed your face into the crook of his neck with every stretch of your tight cunt.
How it burned, the sensation of being split apart was enough to bring fresh tears to your eyes and oh fuck, did you want to yell at him to stop. To stop moving, to pull out and let your thighs come together. The fear of his response stopped you, the familiar tingle of wanting to please filled your chest and your brain and all you could do was breathe through it.
It was different before. They were never as big or domineering as the cock currently carving you open. Suguru was moulding you to his length, demanding that you fit him like a silk glove.
You only half heard the whispered words of praise that he lavished upon you, every further inch that he bullied into your tight cunt resulted in more and more messy, open-mouthed kisses. You thought you might die or at least pass out. Stifling a sniffle, you tightened the fingers that laced with his own.
Suddenly, it stopped.Â
The agonising pain of accepting Suguru into your body ceased, a warm feeling flooded your abdomen and you blinked up into a face twisted in pleasure.
âYouâre so tight, I might not lastâŚâ
His voice was hoarse, strangled with the tendons on his neck on prominent display. Your hips pressed together, his cock so deep in your body that you were truly worried that he could rearrange your guts. When he pulled back, you moaned and it sounded like the most filthy noise you had ever made in your life.
Suguru gasped in reaction, obsidian eyes boring into your skull as his pace picked up. You could feel every part of him, your walls hugging and contoured to accommodate him to sheer perfection.
You were made to take this man, this darkly handsome man who manipulated you into this situation and used your weaknesses to his advantage. He was no God, he was the Devil and you had sold your soul to him. Signed your name in blood and there wasnât a hint of regret in your mind.
The longer he stroked his cock into your pussy the bolder you became, you were the one to kiss him and suck on his swollen lips. Your tongue twisted around his and licked against his teeth. You arched your back, lifting your hips and shifting the angle of his cock to press just right on that special spot he had found earlier. You groaned in his ear and whispered for him to go faster, harder.
All he could do was everything that you asked of him. He had fallen hook, line and sinker for you. How things had twisted up in the jumble of lust.
For a second, Suguru frowned as a fleeting thought crossed his mind. Had you wanted this all along? Had you played him more than he had played you? It was gone in an instant as your head tipped back and you chanted his name in blind reverence.
âSuguru. Suguru! Oh fuck, Suguru!â
Once again, he felt your precipice and quickened to send you careening over the edge. Your thighs tightened around his lean hips, the pressure in his balls close to exploding when your walls milked him.Â
You fell first, but you were bringing him with you this time. Clinging to him like he was the only anchor in a stormy sea, the knots within your stomach released all at once, and then you felt the white-hot heat of thick ropes of cum splashing against your thighs. When he had pulled out, you didnât know. All you did know was that there was a faint tremor of disappointment that he had running through your mind.
For the longest time, you simply stared at one another, both coming down from your respective highs and not daring to look away.
The smile you gifted him was new. It made his head tilt whilst he observed you from above. After a long moment, he returned the smile and let his head sink against your heaving chest.
Who had corrupted who? Did it really matter when you both got exactly what you wanted?

ok so i just finished my book cover for First, Best Destiny - Part 1 by the amazing @ophelia-j !!
admittedly i was going to wait until i actually attached the text block to the cover before i posted this haha, but i was SO excited after making this cover that i decided to just post it and then update with the finished product later!!
this book is absolutely embedded in my soul, and words cannot even describe how gorgeously itâs written. itâs a book that made me realize - hey, the adventure doesnât end as you grow old.
you can read it here. i promise you wonât regret it!!!
anyways!!! hereâs all of my other bookbinding steps for anyone interested.
camâs somewhat incomplete bookbinding guide
please note that i am an AMATEUR hobbyist. please do not actually use this as a tutorial.
oh also!! bookbinding terminology will have a * by it which will be explained at the end in order to make this flow better. iâll also link the tutorials i used at the end of this for anyone interested.
1) Formatting the document! I downloaded the original text as a PDF, and then designed a cover page, grabbed some art from the internet (i know, frowned upon, but this is just a personal copy so it is what it is), and then designed a table of contents and chapter icons!!
*side note! i added which episodes each chapter follows to the table of contents (pictured below) as this book was written as an accompaniment to TOS and the movies.
2) Next, I printed out all NINE HUNDRED PAGES??? admittedly i could have done it in less if Iâd used a bigger page size, but sending things out to be printed is expensive so we made do. after printing, i folded them into signatures*.
*thereâs an additional note about the paper i used at the end
3) punching out holes in all the signatures! although not technically necessary, I honestly donât think i wouldâve been able to sew this behemoth without doing it.
4) sewing the pages into a real!! actual!! book!! this was the part i was most nervous about. iâve NEVER attempted to sew anywhere near this large of a book before, so i tried out a new method of sewing in hopes of making it a bit more sturdy. we wonât know if it worked until this book endures some wear and tear, but iâm pretty optimistic!
5) next up is glueing the spine! this is where it really hit me that a lot of bookbinding is justâŚglueing shit together. later i also added cardstock to the spine in hopes of helping it adhere to the cover better, and a book headband* for decoration.
5) now weâre onto the book cover!! they only sell bookboard in minor bulk around here, so weâre not even gonna discuss how much bookboard i now own⌠anyways! i glued the faux leather onto the bookboard and then let that dry.
6) last up! off to the cricket! a huge thank you to my friend for letting me borrow her cricket AND supplies! anywho, this is where i designed my cover art. i then adhered the design to the cover. after this step, i realized iâŚdefinitely need some kind of sealant - so, if any more seasoned bookbinders have suggestions for this i am all ears!!
all in all, this was a super fun project, and a great way to kill some time while i recover from surgery! i absolutely plan to bind the sequel at some point, but that may be aâŚways away. iâm a STEM major and school starts back up soon soâŚtime will be in short supply lol!
To be continued...
Terminology
*signature: group of sheets folded in half, to be worked into the binding as a unit.
*book headband: just look up a picture if youâre curious because tumblr says i can't add any more pictures lol.
*about the paper!! i actually got it from a local specialty paper store, but if you want something similar i've heard amazon has some good bookbinding alternatives!
Tutorials
please PLEASE go check out Jess Less on youtube. she's phenomenal. here are her vids and what i used them for.
youtube
don't laugh!! i actually stole MOST of my techniques straight from this video.
youtube
i used this one to help me format the book correctly! although i still ended up with some goofs haha (see: any pages on the left side have the page number in the margin LMAO).

So my cousine bought a "Siffrin" or what they assumed was a Siffrin...It was a King who had it's hair cut, it was in very distressed and after I told him that it was a King he dropped it on me. (The shelters nearby were either full or refused to take him...)
So now I have a vet visit planned since this is my first time owning a King and I pressume that havinf a King with shorthair is very bad. If anyone could give me more advice that would be very helpfull thanks.
While a King does need occasional trimming, it should never have short enough hair that they can be mistaken for a Siffrin. The hair of a King is vital for temperature regulation, and a King with hair shorter than shoulder length is likely to experience immense distress as hair often acts as an object of comfort for Kings, both emotionally and physically.
Make sure youâre managing their hair! Keep track of how long your Kingâs hair has grown by measuring it every few days and writing down the new measurement. Consistent growth is indicative of a content and healthy King. To avoid breakage, brush the Kingâs hair and tie it back- preferably in a braid. For a new King thatâs not very trusting, I suggest braiding their hair during baths or feedings, and wear paper type Craft gloves (both to avoid any rock attacks, and because your King might bite. If any of these occur, leave the King alone temporarily to calm down). Donât over-shampoo, as it can damage the hair more than help it. Shampoo at most once a week, or whenever absolutely necessary. And, I cannot stress this enough: Invest in good hair and shell oil. I recommend ShinePlux or Bright-Specialty Products. Avoid charcoal hair products: they risk staining the hair, which is an absolute no no for Kings. Keep your Kingâs armor blindingly shiny and his hair utterly darkless!!!
Take note of any hair loss or thinning, as it can indicate health problems and abnormal stress. A healthy King should have long darkless hair that doesnât tangle when brushed (this applies to any variant of a King, regardless of hair texture) and is shiny- not greasy- in appearance.
Kings are also a much larger species than Siffrins, so itâs possible that your King may be in its childhood stage? Despite their later size, a King starts out relatively small, and grows to a taller height later in its life through a sudden stage of rapid moltings. Keep an eye out for any pre-molt behaviors like diminished appetite, fatigue, and distancing.
Definitely reach out to any Planetarium Houses for advice! Since Kings of the Islander variety, these specialized Houses are often very informed about them, and tend to have one of their own.
#isat husbandry#isathusbandry#isat#I think Iâll make an appreciation post of some sort later for king hairstyles#bc they are so fun!!!#and creative!!!!!#king who trust you will either allow or actively seek you out for hair care#siffrin isat#king isat

Sustainability is rarely accessible
This post is dedicated to Audrey, hi king!
Like many people, I think sustainability and taking care of the environment is really important; however, something that I feel isn't talked about enough when discussing ways to be more sustainable is how it's often inaccessible to disabled people and low-income people.
A lot of "alternative products" aren't viable options for disabled people because of factors such as cost, how easy they are to acquire, or physical accessibility issues.
some examples include:
paper straws and wooden cutlery - I know that for me both of these products give me major sensory issues and as for wooden cutlery I'd also like to note that they're much more difficult to eat with which could cause problems for someone with poor dexterity or fine motor skills.
pre-packaged foods - a lot of disabled people rely on pre-packaged meals and snacks for all kinds of reasons such as sensory issues, having specific safe foods, fatigue, and physically being unable to prepare foods. etc. One example I see often is being told off for buying precut produce because why not "just cut it up themselves" when in reality, some people physically cannot cut it up themselves or don't have enough spoons to make that a priority; not to mention that frozen and pre-cut produce is often cheaper than fresh produce.
medical supplies - A lot the medical supplies that disabled people rely on every day are made up of single use plastics and most of the items aren't meant to be used more than once (though some products can be used for multiple days if cared for properly) that being said, disabled people tend to produce more plastic waste but it's not our faults so we shouldn't be getting flack for it!
Another element of environmental advocacy that a lot of people talk about is veganism; which is of course great thing to practice if that's what works for you but a lot of people (disabled or not) cannot be vegan for dietary reasons. This could be because of allergies, intolerances, restrictions, location, finances, etc. For example, I've got a soy allergy and I've got a friend with a severe nut allergy. This means that neither of us could be fully vegan because the majority of vegan products are made with soy and nuts. I also rely partially on tube feeds for nutrition and as far as I know, there aren't any vegan, soy-free formulas yet (and if there are they're probably absurdly expensive)
This brings me to my final point about cost. A lot of alternative options for vegan and sustainable products are significantly more expensive; making it much harder for people who are already struggling financially to afford those products. Not to mention people who live in food deserts (areas of a city that don't contain grocery stores) or rural areas. There are very low chances that either of those places is going to have specialty food stores or even have alternative options in the few stores that they do have!
In conclusion: stop blaming poor and disabled people for the awful state of our environment and start blaming billionaires and massive corporations!

So you like Luo Yunxi: A drama recommendation list
So you watched "Till the End of the Moon", and all you got is heartbreak, brainworms, and a shiny new lowkey or highkey obsession with Luo Yunxi (perhaps other people from the amazing cast too, but we're focusing on him here)? You want to see more of him, but you don't know where to start? Fear not, for this list is here to hopefully help you out with that.
Here be some (non-spoilery, but might mention if it generally ends well or not) spark notes on all his past dramas with him in the first male lead role, that are currently available with English subs (+ 2 very important supporting roles + 1 bonus). In chronological order, from most to least recent!
Light Chaser Rescue
Type: Modern, rescue missions, human drama, romance
Episodes: 40
Available at: WeTv, YouTube, viki
What's the deal? Jaded and cynical lawyer meets cute and icy doctor lady who is not here for his bs, and discovers the joys of love and most importantly, volunteer rescue work.
On the one hand: Detailed and extremely realistic scenes of all sorts of natural disasters happening. The production team collaborated with a real life team where anyone can volunteer and get training as a rescuer. They built a wholeass glacier for the final episodes and you could never tell it's fake looking at it even on HD. The side characters are mostly likeable (which is something you can't say for every drama), although flawed and human. FL is a cool-headed independent grownup woman who bottles up her feelings like a fine vintage.
On the other: The pacing is rather choppy and makes it feel like they planned out the disaster scenes/rescue missions first and everything else was added later to link said missions together and give the characters stuff to do in between. Since this is a drama and they have a limited cast, the team's abilities are a bit exaggerated at times (they turn up for everything that happens anywhere, doctor FL is a swiss army knife of specialties). Ending feels a bit abrupt.
Watch it if: You enjoy seeing Luo Yunxi suffer physically, you like stories with ordinary people being heroes while also remaining very much ordinary people.
Lie to Love
Type: Modern, romance, office, suspense
Episodes: 32
Available at: WeTV, YouTube
What's the deal? Local woman is convinced her one night stand during a mountain hike killed her father, so she returns after 2 years to go undercover in male nerdy Paris Hilton protagonist's glitzy hotel business and cancel his entire existence. Spoiler alert (but not really because this is actually not even the first 6 eps): he is a good guy and didn't do it and they fall in love and together they set out to uncover the truth and take down his shady uncle.
On the one hand: Objectively speaking, the plot for this is on the better side for a drama of its type. It's got suspense, it's got plot twists, it's got fluff, it's got drama, it's got more communication between the main CP than one would expect on a regular day, misunderstandings don't last long, the nice side characters are likeable, and 2nd ML is doing an incredible job at being a 2-faced creep. LYX is serving many a great business wear look in the 2nd half especially.
On the other: The FL is Cheng Xiao. A severely miscast Cheng Xiao in a role that is core in the plot and on paper, challenging. For fans, winner winner chicken dinner. For the rest of us, it's up to each viewer to decide if overall as a drama, the points in the above section are strong enough to balance this casting out.
Watch it if: You have a thing for men in suits and glasses (that makes two of us), you prefer ignoring the FL in dramas so you can make elaborate headcanons shipping the ML with the psycho stalker 2nd ML or the goofy rockstar 3rd ML instead.
Broker
Type: Modern, office, medical research, suspense, romance
Episodes: 42
Available at: YouTube, viki
What's the deal? Spy is ordered to infiltrate a lab and lowkey honey trap his way into stealing female scientist's multi-million research, is uno reverse carded when she fixes his broken heart and trust in humanity.
On the one hand: The rare case where he is a morally grey character in a modern setting. The other rare case where he gets to do action sequences in a modern setting. There's a shower sex scene (sit down, implied and partially dressed of course, this is still a cdrama), and one where he gets whipped on a table. There is a very badass sidekick girl who is just as broken as him if not worse, and very shippable with the FL's perky and spoiled little sister.
On the other: The premise is cool but sadly, there's way more filler office drama (in the lab) and 2nd CP being a frustrating snoozefest than spy activities. It's a drama that was held up for a long while in censorship limbo, and a considerable chunk of the ML's backstory and scenes were left in the editing room, which unfortunately throws the show off balance by a lot.
Watch it if: You are a diehard Luo Yunxi, Victoria Song or Xu Kaicheng completionist (in which case you have permission to come cry on my shoulder), you find yourself trapped in a cave, the rescue team is 48 hours away, and the only thing in there with you is a device that has no other data on it but all 42 episodes of Broker.
Love is Sweet
Type: Modern, romance, office
Episodes: 36
Available at: iQiyi, YouTube, amazon prime
What's the deal? Local woman applies for a job in huge investment banking company where she runs into her childhood friend -slash- nemesis after 10 years, they both gradually discover time makes people grow and occasionally fall deeply, ridiculously in love.
On the one hand: Sugar and fun and shoujo manga tropes aplenty! God tier CP chemistry! Some of the most epic makeouts to ever slip under the nose of the review committees. Characters that have actual profound growth under the "every romcom ever" cheeky banter. 2nd ML also offers shirtlessness and angsty backstory if you cannot live without those. There's even an adorable and very plot-relevant corgi!
On the other: The tremendous main CP chemistry has made this drama the exception for many who otherwise avoid both modern dramas and romcoms, but if that doesn't carry the show for you, I'm afraid there's not much else to see here. The 2nd CP is fuel for the "2nd CPs are annoying and waste screentime" complaint fire. (although, protip: even on the first watch you can probably skip their scenes without missing anything of value). The tear allergy is a bit of a ridiculous premise, but it's a real thing (who knew!), and it's not addressed much after a point.
Watch it if: You need something sweet and cute to fill the gaping hole Till The End of the Moon left in your chest, you love the tsundere overbearing CEO archetype but you also prefer it when he is more than a dry irredeemable asshole, you love romcoms because you enjoy both the "will they won't they" and the cute "we're an item now" domesticity.
And The Winner is Love
Type: Costume, wuxia, romance
Episodes: 48
Available at: iQiyi, YouTube
What's the deal? Dashing, elegant, fan-wielding dreamboat young master falls in love with girlie burdened with the heavy responsibility of leading a sect with bad rep and protecting a very powerful and thus dangerous cultivation manual. Supposedly.
On the one hand: Luo Yunxi looks like this:
for the whole drama. Every novel writer who ever wrote about a flirty and sophisticated young master whose beauty made flowers bloom along his path and women as well as men fell in love with him at first sight and all that purple prose-y stuff, has actually written about Luo Yunxi as Shangguan Tou whether they were aware of it or not. He is The Archetype and his popularity among bilibili fmv editors is proof. There's some great wire work in the first half. The soundtrack is pretty solid.
On the other: If you're looking for plot, run away and don't look back. I've watched the whole thing and I could not tell you how the story goes. I went in with a "idc about plot, i just want to look at Luo Yunxi in costume for 40 hours" mentality and I still struggled, make of that what you will. Chen Yuqi is the FL, saddled with a poorly written role and a choice of VA who arguably wasn't the best fit for her or the role. Chemistry is passable depending on your standards, but for most of the 2nd half of the drama it takes a nosedive together with the plot. Luo Yunxi got injured while filming this so they had to cut action scenes by a lot, so in the last 3rd or so it's wuxia without the wuxia. It's the only recent case where he also had to be dubbed (covid didn't allow him to get in the studio and do it himself, as he usually does).
Watch it if: You are a yumejoshi and need material to self-insert into a costume drama FL's position, you are more determined to watch lyx look pretty in costume, all else be damned, than Samwise Gamgee was determined to make sure Frodo throws the One Ring in the flames of Mount Doom.
Princess Silver
Type: Costume, court drama, romance, some wuxia elements
Episodes: 58
Available at: YouTube, viki
What's the deal? Princess RongLe wakes up one day with amnesia (no, hear me out) to the news that she is to be sent to another kingdom and marry a prince she's never met for political alliance reasons (no, hear me out!). There, she is faced with unexpected revelations and finds herself looking for the truth while she gets embroiled with the aforementioned haughty prince, a shady general, and her (sometimes a bit too?) caring and overprotective brother.
On the one hand: (mild spoiler alert?) His character ends up stealing the show. FL can act and has good relationships with other female characters (arguably better than with any man in this, even in the chemistry department). Story and plot are quite decent. It's one of those rare cdramas that builds up as it goes instead of deflating in the last stretch.
On the other: LYX is 3rd ML in this, so if he's your main motivation to watch, be prepared for limited screentime, especially in the 2nd half of the drama (until the final 8-10 episodes where it's all about). If you're not into the FL with either 1st or 2nd ML, the first half can be a drag, like, personally I started appreciating this drama for real after episode 25-30.
Watch it if: You are patient, you like getting emotionally sucker-punched, you love a good, earthshaking final plot twist.
Ashes of Love
Type: Costume, xianxia
Episodes: 63 (or 60, depending on the version, content is the same either way though)
Available at: Netflix, YouTube, viki, WeTV, amazon prime
What's the deal? Bottom of the food chain grape fairy who was deprived of the ability to feel romantic love and her life was honestly better and carefree like that, trips and falls into a love triangle with overconfident golden boy Heavenly Prince Phoenix, and his older brother, abused wallflower Heavenly Prince Dragon. Things go very great and not complicated at all from there. :))
On the one hand: Xianxia 101, it hits all the items on the checklist. The lavish costumes, the sprawling sets and world building, the entanglement over multiple lives, mortal arc, immortal arc, demon realm arc. CG that still holds up well for the genre 5 years later. The epic and emotional OST (someone has yet to surpass Sa Ding Ding's 塌ććć for the title of "best cdrama ED song", i don't make the rules). Arguably, The most iconic 2nd ML in a cdrama, responsible for a significant chunk of its long-lasting chokehold on the audience. Even if you've never seen the drama, if you're in the asian media adjacent internet, you've most likely seen this:
On the other: Xianxia 101, a double-sided coin. All the clichĂŠs are here, and if you're not here for them you get aboard the struggle bus. The show's views on romantic feelings can be a bit, let's say, old fashioned, even for the genre's standards. If you're not into the main CP, you're in for an uphill battle of frustration. If you're Team Runyu prepare to hate almost everyone for there is no justice in this land. (In AoL one is either Team Runyu or Team Xu Feng, no middle ground, and if you're reading this, especially because you liked lyx as Tantai Jin, I don't see how you could end up Team Xu Feng, so I'm gonna run with this assumption). (in theory you can also be Team No One, but in practice if you're that, sitting through this entire drama must have been as fun as having a tooth pulled out with no anesthesia)
Watch it if: if you're any degree of a lyx fan, period. Runyu is a mandatory class.
Children's Hospital Pediatrician
Type: Modern, medical, romance
Episodes: 42
Available at: YouTube
What's the deal? Aspiring surgeon -slash- frustrating disaster girl makes a huge blunder on her first day of her hospital residency, and can only stay as a pediatrician. She hates it and makes her literal saint of a secret husband's life miserable. We watch as she gets to grow as a person to the detriment of everyone else's mental health. Secondary cast has subplots of various dating entanglements.
On the one hand: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, hmmm..... well... there's a scene where lyx takes off his shirt for a physical exam, if that's a bonus (ep40, 27:13-28:05, you're welcome)? Queen Zheng Li is in it? I am scraping the bottom of the barrel here.
On the other: It's way too long for absolutely no reason, the FL is the most frustrating and irrational baby I've ever seen (which is by no means a low bar), 90% of characters who are not the FL get their development butchered to make her look better, 2/3rds of the cast are incompetent at acting and the other 1/3rd is being wasted in this mess. I am trying to be as objective I can in these, but I've got nothing for this one.
Watch it if: You have chronically low blood pressure that no medication can fix, you have watched literally everything else on the list and having a manic episode where you will chew on the walls if you don't look at Luo Yunxi's face in something you have never seen before, you want to watch some other mid drama, so you want to watch something worse first in order to appreciate the other drama more.
Fox in the Screen
Type: Costume, xianxia
Episodes: 22
Available at: YouTube, viki, amazon prime (as The Screen Foxes)
What's the deal? Orphan girl wins by drunken mistake a magical screen that houses 3 fox demon guys, they help her with her screen shop and also with crossdressing to pass the exam for the position of palace screen painter. She earns a grumpy boyfriend with a tragic past in the meanwhile.
On the one hand: It's short and goes fast, and in all honesty, considering it was made on a budget of 3 paperclips and a piece of gum, the story is much more concise and watchable than I, at least, personally expected. You get to witness the caterpillar stage of lyx on this path to guzhuang drama godhood. If you're one for tragic love stories there is one hiding under the DIY production. White Fox and the prince are a solid ship.
On the other: It is very much made on the aforementioned budget of 3 paperclips and a piece of gum, and it very much shows. Everything is rough, the costumes, the makeup, the editing, the acting for the most part. Having even half an expectation is the wrong way to approach this drama.
Watch it if: you have the heart of a mother watching her kids at the school play and admiring what a great job they are doing or if you are like Marie Kondo and love mess in an affectionate way.
Bonus: PhantaCity
youtube
PhantaCity was a tv show back in 2018, whose concept was making short plays and having actors perform them live in a single, do or die take for a studio audience. Luo Yunxi and Wu Jinyan, both with a background in ballet, are paired up in a short musical, acting as the hands of a newly repaired clock. If you ever wanted to see him dance, sing and act all in one thing, don't sleep on this. It's short and beautiful, and the official upload embedded above is subbed in English!

Your Love is a Vice Grip
Il Dottore X fem!Reader
(A/N: This is a fic I've been playing around with for about 6+ months. Definitely needs a lot of edits and work done to it, but I just want it posted somewhere I suppose. Haha!)
(tw: Blood, Injury, bad workplace environment, foul language, confrontation, slight physical aggression, 18+ ONLY!!!)
DO NOT REPOST!!!!
Summary: Just another cog in the machine. That was all she expected to be. That was all she wanted to be. Anything more than that and her life would be on the line, more so than it currently was anyway. Being a part of an organization such as the Fatui always carried risks, but the pay was good, and the only thing she had to worry about was the eccentric Doctorâs occasional outbursts. Keep her head low and donât get in the way of the 2nd Harbinger, easy enough, right? She thought soâŚ.until she found herself on the bleeding end of one of those outbursts. Suddenly, she can't seem to shake him, and she begins to wonder if it is what lies on the inside of these reinforced walls she should fear instead.
Medical Terminology: Prefix - Hema - Blood
âShitâŚâ
She was bleeding. Quite profusely, at that. She watched only momentarily as the carmine liquid dripped down her gloved hand, which was now shredded beyond use, and onto the pristine white tiles below, reflecting on what had just transpired.Â
It was her damn reflexes essentially, a grab at something that was thrown in her general direction, a moment of instinct before thought. It was laughable, considering thought was supposed to conquer all in a place such as this. To be a researcher, a scientist, who could still not overcome something The Doctor would surely see as âprimitiveâ was an unspoken folly amongst those here.
She squinted, now noticing it wasnât just her blood that was dripping to the floor. Whatever it was she was attempting to catch was filled with something of an azure blue color, and that something was mixing with her blood and seeping into the open wounds. While it didnât burn, it did leave a numbing coolness wherever it trailed, and any chemical reaction on human skin was always a cause for concern.
Regardless of her instinctual stumble, she needed to follow procedure and take the correct precautions now. Thick soles crunching the forgotten glass below, she hurried to the wash stations, arm held out to avoid getting the unknown substance on her person any more than it already was.
Ideally, a quick scrub in the sink would work, sheâd rather avoid the emergency showers if at all possible. Although it did technically have a curtain, the thing was flimsy at best, and she would rather avoid stripping in front of her colleagues with only a plastic drape no thicker than a sheet of paper between them.Â
Especially now of all times, when The Doctor, the Prime himself as indicated by his signature mask, decided to grace them with his ever-fleeting presence. While this was the primary laboratory it was still a rarity to see him, and not one of his segments, overseeing the ongoing operations here.Â
Each lab was dedicated to a specific area of research, the main branch, this branch, focusing on Cybernetics and Biological Enhancements. Also known as the birthplace of many, if not all, of the segments currently wandering all corners of Teyvat. Seeing Ruin Guard parts and other machinery scattered amongst that of biological specimens was the norm, ideas and experiments of them all working in tandem was the goal.Â
It was a productive and, dare she say, quiet atmosphere to work in. Especially for those who worked on the machinery portion of the lab, like herself.Â
Well, it was usually anyway. The presence of the Harbinger could only mean one of two things, there was a meeting that called for the Harbingerâs presence, or there was an experiment that garnered his attention and required their subject specialties.
She deeply hoped it was the former, as the latter would mean a much longer stay, overseeing and criticizing anything he deemed incorrect or foolish had a chance of ending in outbursts consisting of thrown objects and verbal lashings.
Like today, the fading memory of his livid voice to a colleague close to her own station easily told her that something didnât go as planned. That something failed. Failure wasnât something he took lightly, and this failure ended in her being an indirect victim of his, dare she say, tantrum.Â
Rumors came to mind of those he deemed stupid being turned into test subjects themselves, thoughts of him âfinding some use out of their miserable existenceâ didnât easily leave the brain. In fact, it clung to it, a reminder to not fuck up lest one could find themselves strapped to the surgical table at a moment's notice.
A part of her wondered if she might see this rumor come to fruition with her own eyes soon, to walk in tomorrow morning with the vaguely familiar body of her coworker stripped of name and so kindly gifted a subject number.Â
Even if that were so, it still wouldnât matter, not in the long run anyway. They would soon be replaced and work would continue as normal, as it always did. Just another broken cog replaced.
Approaching the wash station, the tattered glove was quickly stripped and tossed into the closest biohazard waste bin, the other staying on as it wasnât damaged and could still provide ample protection from the painful scrubbing she would have to endure on the other.Â
Her eyebrows twitched for just a moment before relaxing once again, the stinging pain was starting to set in now, but she couldnât bring any more attention to herself than she knew she already had. Even the slightest hint of weakness could be one's downfall in a place like this. Between the competitive nature that festered in the labs and The Doctor himself, any sign of weakness was not unlike that of prey being fed to a pack of starving wolves.
Preoccupied with getting the faucet on and preparing the correct cleanser, she failed to notice the âtinkâing of metal on the tile quickly approaching, following the mixed blood trail she inevitably left in her rush.
It wasnât until a vaguely familiar gloved hand grabbed her wrist, pulling it back with such force she feared for a moment her shoulder may have been pulled from its socket, that she even noticed a presence even close to her. Looking back to the cause soon made her blood run cold, the mask of The Doctor leaning in, lips twisted in a snarl.Â
âWhat was that?â His hand tightened into a bruising grip around her wrist, the odd mixture of red and blue staining his own bicolored gloves as he relentlessly squeezed. The gruffness of his angered voice with the gritting of his pointed teeth ever threatening, a reminder as to why she was one of the few who preferred to stay under the radar. While raising in the lab ranks came with its perks, mainly a huge pay increase, it also came with downsides. The wrath of The Doctor being the biggest.
âIâŚâ She started, mentally kicking herself when her hesitation was noticed, as evidenced by his low growl. â I apologize, sir.â She made sure to say it clearly, making it a point not to falter this time. âI was following lab procedure.â
âDo you take me for a fool? Or are you that dense? You know thatâs not wh-!â
A reverberating slam of metal on concrete echoed through the large lab, the light from the hallway invading the natural darkness of the area. The intrusion silenced even The Doctor from his tirade, though the clenching of his teeth indicated the interruption made his mood drop even lower.Â
In the middle of the large double doorway stood The Knave, her monochrome coloring stood out like a ghost, her red âXâd eyes landing on The Doctor before her face twisted into a sneer.
âWhat is it?â The Doctor called over his shoulder, annoyance dripping like venom from his voice alone. âCanât you see that Iâm busy?â
âThe meeting has been called to order,â She stated, brows furrowed. âYet you are still here dilly-dallying like a child refusing to leave the playground. â
âHer Majesty-â He started before being abruptly cut off by the 4th-ranked Harbinger.
â-will not tolerate another absence, Doctor.â Then she was gone as quickly as she arrived, the clinking of her dangerously pointed heels down the hallway the only indication that the Harbinger was even there to begin with. Â
âTsk.â He threw her wrist down as if even touching her was a taint to his person. Shifting his heels, he turned to the door before glancing back over his shoulder. âIâll deal with you later. Both of you.â He finished before he, too, disappeared down the hallway.

He's all done!! Previous WIPs here.
So this is my personal con badge! I've been to enough anime cons in my area in the last few years-- always attending in Detco cosplay or with The Boy Himself-- that other, more seasoned con regulars have started to recognize me as the Conan Guy LMAO
Just thought it was time to give myself some personal con flair ;) I think it came out well for the most part, I'm definitely rusty when it comes to traditional art and all the decision-making that comes with it, but it's reassuring that I could still pull it off at all to reach an end result I'm mostly satisfied with.
Secrets below the break >:) I may or may not have snuck some things into this one teehee
(Sorry for the shaky video, my hands aren't so steady when handling a camera)
So those raised details you see in the video above are actually UV paint! My intent was to hide some self-indulgently Evil Conan... things in plain sight that could only be revealed under black light, but the effect ended up being super weak and the result is both underwhelming and hard to see even in its intended environment ;-; I'm still pretty bummed about it, but since the paint has some physicality to it, it creates raised edges. Which I guess I'll take as a consolation prize.
The text says "GOD AND THE DEVIL, ONE AND THE SAME," there's a broken halo over his head, blood on his fingers and throat, and his eyes and mouth glow, too. The tattoos/markings along his face and wrists were sort of previously depicted here-- things that are supposed to be visible only to those who can see deep past the facade, and when his composure starts to falter-- but like everything else they didn't show up so well in the final product :(
Here's a scan of the final artwork (left) vs the digital draft for the UV paint (right). If you shine a UV light on the final piece, these details are all there, but they're tough to see. In retrospect, I may have been able to pull this off much better on darker paper.
So yeah! This actually ended up being much larger than I anticipated, and combined with the inherent fragility of the UV paint I ended up making a copy of the final scan and sticking it in a specialty badge holder. Probably for the best since I wouldn't want to damage the original, anyway.
I'll be wearing this to all anime cons I attend in the future, so maybe if we cross paths you'll get to see it in person ;) And if you were at Nan Desu Kan last weekend you already did snfnfnfnf

excerpts for this interview about wang yibo and his character wei ruolai: Exclusive interviewď˝"Storm Chaser" director Yao Xiaofeng: Creating a period drama with a grainy and historical feel
The TV series "War of Faith" is on the air. This legendary story that cuts into the history of the Republic of China from a financial perspective has aroused the curiosity and follow-up of many viewers. Itâs production level can also be regarded as the best work of 2024.
Director Yao Xiaofeng admits that he has always been interested in the history of the Republic of China. "This history is actually very heart-wrenching. During this history, the ups and downs of the country's destiny, what kind of experiences did the people who participated in it and those who followed the trend have? I find it particularly interesting.â
In addition to the visual presentation, the performances of many actors are also quite exciting. Yao Xiaofeng said confidently: "The actor in this drama will definitely be able to give one of the best performances in his career." He is a director who is very good at communicating with actors and bringing out their charm. Starring Wang Yibo is also in " Contributed a commendable performance in "War of Faith".
The first time he collaborated with Wang Yibo, Yao Xiaofeng recognized this "kid" very much. "I spent a lot of thought on Wang Yibo this time, and he was very involved and fully committed himself to me during the process. He also believed in me." He said, "There are no distracting thoughts in our cooperation. .â
The Paper: In the first episode, the male protagonist is dragged into the stock market by the landlady. On one side is the heroine's gunfire and on the other side is the male protagonist's stock market turmoil. This contrast is quite interesting.
Yao Xiaofeng: The male protagonist is an ordinary person. When an ordinary person is involved in chaos and bloodshed, he goes from being at a loss to being calm and making a choice. I think this is very interesting. An ordinary person's true reaction when faced with a world he cannot control may be the highlight of this drama. So for the first few scenes, I first created the atmosphere of his life and let the audience accept what kind of person he is. Talking about the relationship between an ordinary little person and the big era and the big world is my specialty.
The Paper: In previous interviews, I saw you expressing your appreciation for Wang Yibo. I would like to hear you talk about the cooperation process, including some observations of this young actor?
Yao Xiaofeng: When we met, I could feel Wang Yibo's sincerity, and I said I wanted to convey this sincerity to the audience. No matter what kind of scene you face, you donât have to act, you just need to tell me your truest feelings on camera. The good thing about this kid is that he easily believed the scenarios I gave him.
I think this child is very good. He understands it very well. When he comes to the set, he is filming. He regards himself as an actor and leaves it completely to a director. As a director, I explained my ideas to him and let him develop them. I often say that actors and directors should trust and respect each other. From the moment we met, we only talked about the two creatorsâ understanding of the characters and the drama, so there were no distracting thoughts about our cooperation.
The actor in this drama will definitely give one of the best performances in his career. As a director, what I have to do is to amplify the charm of the actor and help him complete the role. I spent a lot of thought on Wang Yibo this time, and he was very involved, and he also trusted me in the process.
The Paper: How to build this trust?
Yao Xiaofeng: Itâs equality. I donât âpretendâ to be a director, and he doesnât âplayâ a star. We are just ordinary people. And then he was the younger guy and I was older than him and he certainly had a lot of respect for me. But at the beginning, when the two of us were not that familiar, I talked more about the script with him, without any pretensions to being a director, and communicated with him in a normal manner. After slowly breaking through the barriers between people little by little, the rest will not be a problem.
His smile was so lively that once I made him laugh. After laughing, I said you have such a cute smile, and we were both very happy. Later, he often smiled, and I think he probably smiled the most in my drama.
The Paper: The pavilion where the male protagonist lives on Qibao Street is also particularly rich in details.
Yao Xiaofeng: When Wei Ruo came to the room, I said it was not shabby enough. It was also a loft at the beginning. When the view of the loft was ready, I said as soon as I entered, you have no experience in living in a pavilion. It is too high, too big, and the room is not dilapidated enough. But the photography team is also worried that your space is too big. Itâs hard to get small photography equipment in, so itâs not easy to take pictures. But when it comes to photography, I want it to be small and have enough space for people to hit their heads.
If the space is right, we will discuss every detail of the character's life, including what kind of lights to use at home, where to eat, and where to cook. The staff in the clothing team are relatively young now and have no idea about the "ragged" clothes of that era, so I asked them to make them as old and torn as possible.
When everything was ready, Wang Yibo put on a torn cotton-padded jacket, entered the pavilion where he would hit his head, and bent down. The small quilt on the bed could only cover his head but not his tail, so he could only shrink up. We filmed it in winter, and his most authentic reaction was aroused. By truly feeling in this real atmosphere and environment, you can bring the characters to life.
#wang yibo#wei ruolai#war of faith#accio victuuri translation#iâm glad he connected with yibo like that âşď¸âşď¸âşď¸âşď¸

Spooky Season Shenanigans for the Nekos Part 1
America-CatÂ
He begins to gather clumps from his litter box and soil that is damp from the backyard. America cat has taken some of his owners socks which he uses as casings to store his âammunitionâ. This crazy cat is even in the midst of crafting an underground lair of sorts. Heâs stored a few long lighters, fireworks, toilet paper rolls, eggs heâs brought to âfermentâ, masks, costumes, etc. America cat is going to be putting on an entire production. If he already wasnât the King of Halloween this will make him the king now for like ever meow!Â
Canada-CatÂ
Has gone to cat markets, candle shops, and bakeries where catâs all over the world come to visit when Sept 1st hits. There is one shop in particular that sells this legendary Maple Fish Cake, which only available during this time of year. Theyâre so popular in fact that they have to limit cats with only being able to purchase 5 of these specialty cakes for the season. [Yes, there were many years where scammer cats hoarded the entire stock of cakes in the morning. Theyâd mark up the price of them 300% to say that ridiculous is an understatement but the cakes are that yummy. And they may or may not have a special cat-nip lacd in them]Â
Canada-cat tentatively passes by the costume shops debating with himself on if heâs going to attend his brothers catâs annual Halloween party and prank-a-thon.Â
China-Cat
Busy raiding his owners' pastry / cookbooks to make an entire special Fall menu of food for the season. He will do more to spend time in the sun while it still lasts. China-cat wants his dark chestnut fur to get nice and toasty so he can store it away for the Winter months. [So his old bones donât get frozen and brittle.] China-cats favorite pass time is to go to Yi Dian Dian & The Alley once or twice a day to get a hot or cold milk tea that occasionally has Boba in it.Â
England-CatÂ
His tail will be flicking back and forth lowly on the carpet. The season where he got to be on the fresh grass or out on the open sea. When he daydreamed about the wide open waters he thought about the days that he was a mouser alongside his swashbuckling and commanding owner. As England cat was in the midst of his thoughts clouds made the sky darker and the air became colder. When his head rises he was able to catch the last milliseconds of a lightning boldt. He hears low chattering rising from the basement.Â
âArthur must be at it again so he can try to win Halloween this year against that Yank. I guess now is a good time for me to maybe get ready for America cats shenanigans this year as well.â
France-Cat
Heâd invited âCharmy Chartreux,â a famous cat known for doing home holiday decorating, planning, and execution. By the time Spet rolls around, France cat will be ready for the season of the spooky but make it posh & elegant. Tangerine tea lights, pumpkins with the flur de lese, macaroons, & the Eiffel Tower carved into them. He even managed to make a deal with Canada-Cat to have a shipment of Maple Fish Cakes sent to him.Â
Germany-CatÂ
Planning safety guides for cats and what to do when youâve had too much cat-nip contingent plans. He knows America-cat is planning an insane rager complete with ill-advised pranks, stunts, and performances all meant to stroke his ego. Germany-cat also makes note to buy extra sausages, treats, and Apfelsaft (Apple Juiceâjust make it sparkling). He does this so no cat is on an empty stomach and has its whiskers twisted by catnip.Â
Italy CatsÂ
They havenât thought about Halloween all that much. Theyâre just vibing with the season changes. The crisper air carried the fresh scent of harvested grapes, olives, pumpkins, etc. The two of them love stealing Felicianos tortelli di zucca (pumpkin soup), minestrone, and strudel di mele.Â
âGermany! Germany! Help me! The kitties have run a-way with my delicious food again!âÂ
Japan-CatÂ
Yet, another cat who loves to watch the season transition into the next. He adores watching the thousands of leaves float down to the ground. The mesmerizing colors of the fall leaves are cornsilk, fawn, midnight greens, and burnt oranges. All these colors melded together to create a beautiful scene that is ephemeral and sort of angelic in a way. Japan-cat has a special stash of tuna that he likes to eat when he finds a magnificent view.Â
While he eats heâs working out how heâll survive another America-cat rager.Â
Russia-CatÂ
Happily roaming the streets receiving belly rubs, scratchies, and treats from the last of the summertime tourists. Halloween only seems to come to his mind when his owner mentions it or begins to decorate for it mid-September. When Ivan does begin to get the decorations out Russia-cat gets far too comfortable in the organs of one of the pumpkins Ivan has made.Â
âReally, my little cat?â He crouches down to pet his loveable but somewhat mischievous cat.Â
âMeow.â (Da.) Russia-cats beady eyes will be looking at Ivan like: âIâm cute and a cat. What are you not understanding? Iâm number one now, BELLY RUBS human BELLY RUBS!âÂ

Elemental Continued + Dragon War
@ath3alin I'm here!! I'm here!! *papers and notebooks spilling out of hands, hair a complete mess and face flushed* I have more rambles!!!
OKAY!!! Rage's elemental vision/very basic run down of the elemental system (I want to do a more comprehensive intro post for the whole magic system, so this is just a little teaser).
So, elemental is used by most species in some form. It's different for each species on how much they can control, but the basics stay the same.
Elemental relies on two main aspects: the element being harnessed (pulled from the surroundings) or extracted (pulled from within the users body), and energy.
The broad categories of elements are fire, water, air, rock, bio, energy, and a few... other elements that I'm not going to name right now because it's Plot Points. (can you tell AtLA influenced this???) They all have many more categories in them and several of them overlap, but this is the general guide the Realms use. Most of your average run of the mill people are just going to refer to elements as this. You really only get the nuanced categories and specialties when you get with an advanced trained user.
Energy has three categories. Life energy, elemental energy, and wild energy. They have technical names, but most of your average people are just going group them together and call them energy.
So, since Rage is Mirralian, his body produces no element of its own, but it does produce a specific type of elemental energy that allows him to harness the elements in his surroundings. Ninety-nine percent of the time, Rage harnesses air, just "seeing/sensing" where it is. It requires little energy and his body, after doing this for decades, has built up stamina and extra energy production to compensate. The air leave an outline of where things are, like pouring clay in a mold. It can give Rage an incredible amount of detail if he puts in more effort, but for the most part he just lets his "sight" only go so far. The closest I can think of to give you an example is an inverted black and white picture like these.
Not sure if I explained that very well, but it's what we're going with because my brain is mush right now.
NOW! On to Asurr's research!
First off, yes the questionable research is in healing/biology/genetics. It was pretty much why they chose to go into that field of work later in life. It defiantly wasn't for any desire to help people or good morals and a sense of duty.
Asurr's research specifically revolves around the writings, which are very few and seen as exaggerations and myths by the majority, about the creation of the Tanimoriem during the Dragon War. If the dragons could create a new species from another, why couldn't Asurr improve upon existing ones? Could they change one species to another? Could they create the ultimate species?
A lot of Asurr's research involves ancient writings in languages long lost, talking about impossible elemental feats that most believe to be complete myths. Asurr has had some success in his experiments, but they are crude, gruesome, unnatural and unholy feats of nature. Most of these abominable creatures are extremely violent and devoid of emotions and reason. While Asurr only sees them as steps forward and nowhere near their desired results, the Mors are very pleased with these creatures and use them for many things.
Most people see Asurr as crazy, which they are, but they are also insanely smart and driven. It's their life's work to reach the pinnacle of genetic alterations and species manipulation.
And finally, the Dragon War!
I've mentioned my other WIP, Legend of the Ancients (LotA), a couple times, which takes place in the same world as Echoes of War Chronicles (EoWC). LotA happens a good couple centuries before EoWC, but the Dragon War happens even before that. (LotA focuses a lot more on the creation of the Tanimoriem than EoWC does and is a major plot point for that series).
When the Realms were slowly discovering each other, all the species mixing together, tensions were high. A few of the Realms threatened war against each other. The dragons stepped in to keep the peace, working to unite the Realms and keep things from escalating. And it worked well, until Mirralia was discovered.
Mirralia was extremely hostile towards the dragons, hunting the species and using them to enhance their elemental. Mirralia convinced the other Realms the dragons needed to be controlled.
And so the Realms began a war against the dragons.
It was brutal. The single worst war in the Realms collective histories. It wrecked devastation for everyone, nearly destroying the Realms completely.
During this, the dragons came up with a plan. Through a massive amount of elemental and energy, the dragons "gifted" parts of themselves to various select beings who had been extremely loyal through the war, resulting in a new species. The Tanimoriem. It still remains to be one of the most impressive and powerful uses of elemental in history.
With the help of the Tanimoriem, a mix of namuhs and dragons, the dragons were able to end the war on their terms and keep the Realms from collapsing.
Sorry this is such a long post. When I start rambling, I really start rambling. Hopefully this answered a little more of your questions!! And thank you so much for showing an interest in my work!! It means so, so much to me!!! My DMs and asks are always open!!
