I’ve been playing around a lot with lighting and fun poses and stuff, so this has genuinely been a blast to work on :] Expressions have always been my favorite thing to draw but uh. thinking about that snowglobe note from pete where he said thanks for giving our snowglobe a shake, and thinking about how on stage tonight he said that they brought the snowglobe with them, and thinking about how much they keep changing up the setlist beyond just the medley and 8 ball. almost as though each night, each show, theyre inviting the audience into the snow globe and giving it a shake, mixing up what songs are played, reminding everyone what it means to be alive for those two hours inside the snowglobe

donovan desmond. regardless of whether his role in government is "in the right", he still prioritises his aims over his family. both damian and demetrius have estranged relationships with him and I don't even know where to start with whatever is going on with melinda.

handler. lost her own family and this forms part of her current motivation towards heading off war. but it's shown that her personal life is in tatters. that she's only living for her job with nothing at home for her anymore. it's unhealthy for her, but the connection with her new dog is a start.

twilight. increasingly at odds between "his mission" and his family. and yet, the whole reason for his mission is to protect the smiles of children. to make it so that they don't have to experience what he did. if he completes his mission and then leaves, he's still inflicting that same heartache onto his family.

at the same time. twilight's mantra that "ignorance is sin" comes from the right place. if tensions are ignored. if people aren't actively leveraging the information they can obtain. that's how war happens.

all the adult characters have experienced war in some capacity and they recognise the pain and suffering it can cause. that's why they work so hard to avert it. but they have to be careful that they don't echo that conflict down onto their own personal lives and younger generations. that they aren't so held back by the spectre of war that they forget to live for themselves.

Love how in "The Ungroundable" Kenny is one of the very first(second in fact) person Butters approaches to inform about the vampires(kids) taking over their school. Then skip to TFBW where Mysterion is fighting the same vampire kids to rescue his little sister from becoming one herself.

Perhaps Kenny should have listened to Butters back then eh? XD

as much as ive liked how katara doesn't have to be as much of a mother towards aang (so far from what ive seen) i also feel like it doesn't do her character justice. like part of her character is that it is unfair that she has to be the mother of the group. she needs to be the reliable responsible one and its so so unfair to her. she's angry (another thing that the live action didnt really do) and she clearly has resentments towards the rest of the group for treating her like this. part of why her mother's death affected her is because she never really got the chance to mourn because she had to fill that role immediately.

so yeah, i like that they're not putting all the emotional shit on her (again from what ive seen) but i also feel like that takes away from her and her spark (which is also something that inspires hope in people)
