one of the best sorting algorithm though has to be the denial sorting algorithm (O(0) space & time): first, shuffle the list...
And... Now it's sorted ! no no, I swear it's sorted. It just couldn't be not sorted. It's sorted. Don't worry about it. It's mostly- it's Completely sorted. From start to finish. Yeah 1, 5, 4, 2, 6, 9, 8, 3, 7, 0, just like we learned in school ! Now run you binary search or something on it, don't worry.

For a coding project using Code.org, i made a set of visual sorting algorithms. Enjoy!
[ID: a gif of 10 values being sorted with swap sort. When sorted it turns to 50 values being sorted with swap sort. When sorted it turns to 100 values being sorted with swap sort. When sorted, it turns into 100 values (with repeated values) being sorted with swap sort. Then it is 5 values sorted with bogosort, then 100 values “sorted” with stalin sort. After stalin sort concludes an image of stalin appears with the text “this sort is stalin-approved”. End ID.]

ok… so i made OCs based on sorting algorithms: ten is the loud one from the color circle video (at 3:40) and bogo is literally just randomizes the set until it’s in order (the last one in this video). they are friends and hang out all the times :) i got the idea to make them from ch3rrylemonade on instagram who also has a sorting algorithm OC!!!

bogosort is probably one of the most ridiculous algorithms, like imagine if you had to sort out thousands of items and bogo sort is literally the thought of "nah i ain't doing that shit" and just randomizing it until it's correct. Purely the laziest of sorting algorithms

Around the beginning of the Book of Faces having ads, I read a news article about the new face of internet ads and it really REALLY stuck with me. “If something on the internet is free, odds are good that -you- are what’s actually being sold.”
Facebook. Tiktok. Twitter. Tumblr even, as much as we joke about it not being profitable. Anything with algorithms, or ad space, or suggested posts, or any of that. What's actually making them money is selling ads and then guaranteeing access to your eyeballs, and they guarantee it by keeping you plugged in.
And how do they do that? Well that’s where the algorithms come in. They pay attention to everything. And they learn from the devices of the people around you constantly. The phone isn’t listening in the literal sense, but it does get a newsletter from all the phones and tablets around you about what everyone else is searching. And the most important thing to note is that the algorithm isn’t trying to show you things you like, or things that are true, or things you haven’t seen yet. It filters by only one goal. What keeps this person’s attention. And you don’t need me to tell you that what keeps attention in most people is not always the most healthy or accurate stuff. This is not me pounding my walking stick and saying “Kids these days! Rabble rabble!” or “Tiktok is evil!” It’s no more evil than Facebook, which is the author of the idea that privacy is not something you should expect or experience online. That’s... a whole ‘nother post. But what I am saying is that the internet of today is totally different than it was twenty years ago. And that is largely to do with the passivity of the experience. Just scrolling and seeing what’s next without choosing it.   Don’t be passive in your online experience. Aggressively curate what you’re seeing. And just... be aware that you’re a commodity. Your attention is what makes companies money so they want to manipulate it at every turn, and just the awareness of that fact can make a difference in your behavior.
