Sorry for rambling but I can't just thinking about this and I need people to listen to me I see Wanda smut fics all the time but I can't find post about analyzing and appreciating her character ( I see other fandoms do it with their fav characters I want one with Wanda too) Everything about Wanda's character is making me so freaking sad like i hate that half of her fans only care about her powers and that she's hot... she's more than that..I know it's fiction and it's not that serious but she makes me insane

She has every reason to be angry and be a Villain. because she didn't ask to suffer she didn't ask to be powerful and when she try to do something good and she did, the government put her in the raft everyone acts like she throws the bomb on the building on purpose when it's the only way to save Captain America and everyone around them. People blamed her for her own suffering and blamed her for a tragedy she didn't even cause, She can never come home because the house where all of her happy memories is made doesn't exist. She tried do everything to prove to everyone that she is good and it's not enough. The girl who only wanted people to accept her, the girl who only wanted to be love, the girl who wanted to be good, wasn't good enough

Her and Pietro is trapped under the rubbles of her own house for 2 days, no cause I can't imagine what that must be like? They know their parents are dead. They don't know if they are going to survive. They don't know if someone is going to come rescue them. And when they got rescued. They probably did not have given the chance to grieve their parents. Her parents body are probably unrecognizable and were buried in a mass grave, They are force to grow up too quickly and they have no choice but to accept it.

The reason she ends up so checked out of reality is probably that horrible things keep happening to her, and she has no choice but to go "ok" and move on from that. The moment she first appeared, the way she behave and act it's obvious she have aggression issues and emotional maturity. She used to go to rallies and protests because the government of her country sucks, (shown in aou) and she grew up with her brother, who probably tried to do everything to stop both of them from starving to death. She joined Hydra because she thought she'd be doing something that would help her and her brother, she didn't join them because she agreed with them. ( It's literally implied that hydra is pretending to be shield and is recruiting volunteers)

She did not throw that bomb on that building on purpose; she's trying to save Steve and the people around her. She literally saved a lot of people's lives there, but people keep focusing on her mistake.

Wanda had done so many good things because she was good despite every reason not to. If she is "evil" from the beginning she would have not side with the avengers and just run away after learning Ultron's real plan

She would have not tried so hard to stop the bombs in Lagos if she did not care about other people's life. she save Natasha's and okoye's life, She did everything she could to stop thanos, she did everything the team ordered her to do.

She doesn't want to kill vision because she's afraid of being alone. Westview happened because she couldn't take it anymore. If She is evil she would have not the of people of that town go

Girl, I don't think therapists in the "M*rvel" can help her. You know how people there react to her. If she goes to a therapist, it will probably make her worse. She wants Vision back because he's the only one who understands and truly loves her, and he treats her better than most people there.

No cause Wanda is happy in Edinburg with vision, those are probably the times where she feels real happiness and thanos ruined everything.

If thanos didn't come, Wanda and vision will be have a real marriage and probably have adopted real children.

Wanda only want people to accept her, she only wanted to be treated like a human being, she doesn't care about being powerful. All of the crimes she committed happened because ever since she's a little she suffered, and I don't care if there are other people who suffers than her, people process trauma differently.

the way Wanda is influenced with something dark and evil and all of she ever wanted is to hug her sons again, she did not want to rule the entire universe she didn't want anything all she ever wanted is to be with her family

She's been a hero, a victim, and a villain. because the writers and the shitty universe she's in, don't know what to make of her they accidentally created a character with so many potential and they don't know what to do next and they just killed her off because they think she's not as important like the rest, and majority of her fans just cares about her powers, they only care that she can "solo" people hated Wanda's character because of that. People won't look deeper into her character because the people that claimed to love her also weaponized her. She is doomed by the narrative, ruined by her some of her "fans" and we might not see her again because the universe she's in sucks.

i think we as a community dont talk enough about house putting the milk in the door of the fridge...

i just finished that episode and its so crazy to me. house chalks his pranks up to being selfless the whole time- and it seems like he really means it. he convinces himself that him messing with wilson is going to help him stay away from sam. he talks about how sad wilson was when they first met and how torn apart he was by the divorce. house wants to prevent that from happening again so in his own weird twisted way he tries to get them apart.

but then right at the end wilson and sam are playing poker and they look so happy. house puts the milk back in the door of the fridge. right then he deliberately chooses to stop being selfless so that he can keep wilson out of this relationship. which, yes, is very House Typical™️ but the whole episode he is doing the most to keep his best friend from getting hurt, then sees him happy, and still chooses to put the milk back in the side of the fridge. he loves wilson so much that he could not handle to see him with someone else- getting hurt by someone else. so muchthat he. the milk. the fridge. *dies*

i love the fact that shj is NOT under yoojin's key word effect and he is Just Like That TM. bear with me for a sec. i was having yet another ted talk with dearest achro juuust recently about them, SO THERE ARE SOME HALF COHERENT THOUGHTS READY

i like how shj being the adult and not under the keyword effect gives some. agency in a way. so you know how yoohyun gets all the love despite him being the way he is. for the price of him moulding his entire being around yoojin? or more like HE decides THAT is the price and the only context for the love to be deserved and a fair trade so to speak. when he breaks the mould, he does not lose the privilege of being loved. he was chosen when he was that way to begin with. and anyway, yoojin gives so much leeway to yoohyun even in the frame of his views on good and bad - because love runs deep, and there are many things he'll let slide or let go, as long as yoohyun - and other kids - are happy.

but shj is an adult, not yoojin's kid. might sound obvious but. that gives him agency to fuck up his relationship with yoojin, and he actively chooses not to do it when he moves to the "partner" stage!! (because hyunje very clearly was feeling out the boundaries in the beginning, wasn't he? pushing and pushing and poking the rot until yoojin cracked. and what a surprise that was huh. huh, shj?? he stopped after that. the lines established (by him) and he was not. entirely happy about what he saw, even if incredibly intrigued)

additionally. there is something to say about the playful lines they draw. yoojin has his pride and wants to at least APPEAR strong even when he is struggling. and in places where yoohyun or yerim would fluster him with excessive care and worry, shj gives him enough space to pretend for a bit. even if they both know he's lying. he lies himself too, to save yoojin his pride, doesn't he? the "ah, it's just my whims" attitude? isn't it easier to accept the lavish gifts and such when it's not personal? might just use since he is clearly an eccentric rich s class, right? (that shoots them both in the foot with yoojin feeling insecure, like shj can drop him at any point in time, but that's different story)

plus! plus!! the thrill of biting back at someone so powerful. the excitement of toying with the guy everyone feels threatened by. ^^ (and of course the fun of peeling of perfect appearance and seeing this sung hyunje who doesn't eat bread crusts, likes fishing and being annoying and playing into jokes and is SO good at it he catches on instantly, just give him an opening. a secret persona. makes you feel special, doesn't it?)

while love for yoojin seems natural (oh yoojin. the most guy ever. gah.), sung hyunje too. makes adjustments to win points. like with him treating yerim seriously, him taking in account yoohyun's possessiveness when proposing giving only one of his eyes to blind yoojin (because you know. yoohyun would be unhappy if he didn't get a chance to give his eye to his hyung. and he is his hyung's number one. so shj can't not take it into account - he likes his place number two after all).

ANYWAY. i think yoojin needs an Adult TM who won't necessarily break apart without him. but who would still like to have him around and let yoojin bully him a bit as a treat. and sung hyunje needs someone who can not only tolerate his nasty personality up close, but would ALSO bite back without a fear of retribution. makes life more fun that way. i suppose you can say they both need someone who would entertain their bullying but not leave or get scared or break apart. ^^

Scout - This young man is full of paranoia, guilt and shame. He is desperately afraid of the whole team finding out he secretly enjoys listening to such girly and cheesy music. At first, it started out with Pyro pestering/asking him to learn this one, simple kpop dance routine with him. He begrudgingly agreed to do so and ends up fully enjoying the dancing and lyricism. It inevitably spirals into a hyper fixation of his. Going as far as to locking his bedroom door and shutting off the lights in order to fully research and find out the groups he enjoys listening to. He is mostly a fan of girl groups but he does listen to a couple of select boy groups. This man has a hidden metal lunchbox full of kpop CD’s, trading cards and folded up posters. He keeps it buried underground in a secret spot of his outside. Scout is the type to openly hate and insult the genre of music whenever it’s mentioned, in hopes none of his teammate’s find out he secretly adores listening to it.

Pyro - Pyro is the exact opposite of Scout. He feels no shame. He is the type of fan to have a blinged out photo card on the back of his phone case. Pyro owns a lot of merchandise, from decorated binders full of photo cards to a collection of light sticks. He also has several posters of kpop & jpop girl groups on the wall of his bedroom. He leans more towards the catchy, bubblegum songs with adorable aesthetic concepts. Pyro often gravitates more towards girl groups but he adores the few boy groups that lean more feminine. Pyro has a very good friendship with Medic, they both bond over music frequently. Regardless of being an unapologetic fan, he understands the harassment and ridicule of being so open about liking the genre. Therefore, he doesn’t go around telling the rest of the team that his two friends also like listening to it. It’s only in private where he can fully bond over the music with Medic and eventually Scout.

Medic - Medic is also a reclusive and underground fan. He refuses to speak about the genre. Whenever the genre is brought up in a conversation with his team, he professionally acts as if he has no idea what it is. Working in a hyper masculine environment encourages him to keep it a secret amongst most of his team. He listens to both girl & boy groups equally, often leaning more towards the eery and sad songs within the genre. Medic often sneaks out of the base to meet up with Pyro. Joining together in an abandoned warehouse to practice dance routines together. Medic uses this secluded space to mingle with Pyro freely with no judgement. It is also a spacious area to display his own secret collection of merch.

Heavy - Heavy plays an interesting “guardian” like role within this small group of music nerds. He is not an avid listener to either genre but he does catch himself humming to a couple of songs occasionally. He is the only person trusted with the doctor’s vast and hidden music tastes. If the other mercenaries start to become suspicious of Medic, Heavy often makes up excuses for the doctor sneaking out of the base. Going as far as to guarding the outside of the abandoned warehouse Pyro and Medic both like to dance in. Heavy feels the need to protect his dear friend’s secret space. He respects both Medic and Scout’s need for their reclusive privacy. However, he is often left confused and unable to understand why a genre of music was something to be so ashamed of. Regardless, he continues to keep their adoration for the music a secret amongst the rest of the team.

🎵Secret Fan Club🎵

-Inevitably, Scout becomes suspicious and finds out about this abandoned warehouse. AKA: Pyro and Medic’s secret fan club. He manages to sneak his way around Heavy guarding the outside. Once breaking inside through the roof, Medic and Pyro immediately catch him. They both restrain and threaten him to keep his mouth shut. They both automatically assume Scout is nothing but a loudmouth, hateful threat. Medic and Pyro’s biggest fear is for the rest of the team to find their secluded space. Deeply afraid of their teammate’s destroying it with their brutish filth. Surprisingly, Scout sheepishly admits he enjoys the music genre. Asking them if he can join in on their secluded fun. At first Pyro is taken back but soon welcomes Scout with open arms. However, Medic is still suspicious of Scout’s intentions. Silently ordering Heavy to keep an eye on him, just in case he happens to be a Spy or a traitor in some way.

-Once tensions die down, all three of them become close friends. Wether it be learning new dance routines or having listening parties of album releases, these three are locked into their fantasy world of forbidden music. The abandoned warehouse soon becomes their own personal club and dance studio. From the outside, it appears to be a typical building used for nothing but wooden crates and equipment storage. On the inside, it was decorated with nothing but pastel streamers and cute decor. Each mercenary having their own comfy decorated corner of the warehouse.

-Scout finally has a place to display his hidden merch.

-Medic finally has a place to decompress from work.

-Pyro finally has a place to dance and chat with his teammate’s freely.

-Heavy simply enjoys peaking inside once in a while and watching them laugh, mingle and dance together. He especially likes watching Medic teach the other two such intricate and occasionally risqué dance routines. He also has a habit of sneaking in various snacks and drinks for all of them.

I really didn't like how arcane ended and I wasn't going to speak on it, but I have to get it out.

personally I relate to Vi, not only as a butch lesbian, but also as an older sister and as someone who is easily taken advantage of at the promise of comfort.

jinx's death shattered me, and trust me I am familiar with tragic character deaths, this is different. she stood for something. she stood for traumatized and mentally ill people, for survivors of abuse, people with bpd and so on, she was flawed throughout the show but she was not villified (imo). they showed her experience as a real human experience that deserves compassion. killing her reinforced the belief that suicide makes suicidal people happy, it doesn't. death isn't happy, nobody was relieved by this sacrifice, and you would know that if you have ever been in a place like that, known someone or even lost someone, because of this shit. my wife deeply related to jinx, the trauma she had, the things she was battling and all that still not making her irredeemably evil. this character is supposed to show that you can struggle and be alone and miserable and that you can get better despite that, that you deserve to get another go at life, no matter your flaws. arcane did that, up until the last act. my only sister is a teenager, who every day battles with things she gets minimal support for, I live far away and often feel helpless. jinx both represents my wife and my sister to me, the people I love most in this world. her ending feels like a huge fuck you, 'haha, you thought there was hope? actually struggling teens should just kill themselves semi heroically, because we don't want to deal with their antics'. even if they are hinting at her surviving none of this changes, they killed her socially still, when she was meant to be with her community, to build herself up again, to find her family (other people have said more eloquent things about all of this, check them out).

I have more issues with the finale, but over all I think that all the story lines needed more time.

I didn't quite get what happened with Mel and what the black rose even was, but I didn't care much about her character, so maybe I missed some things, I think she turned out the best in the end.

Ekko seemed to only have one purpose, which was to save. other than that he didn't get much character development. people are praising him for being the best, but I fear that might be because he's awfully underwritten and doesn't have much about him, other than him saving the main characters. Even his alternate universe escapade didn't give us an insight on him, more on Powder. His power wasn't explained well, especially when he broke the four second mark without any consequences it seems. in general I can't pick out many flaws, which indicates a poorly written character.

I didn't mind astrally insane Victor to be the enemy of all, however Jayce's and his story took up too much of the final act for me. they didn't seem that relevant to me to be the turning axis of everything and as someone who doesn't care much about their ship I didn't get much out of that arc. it felt out of character for a show that had been about systemic oppression and family feuds and classism to have a conclusion of "imperfection is actually beautiful". that seemed redundant, all characters in the show have flaws and redeeming qualities, even someone like silco or ambessa. everybody who likes the show knows "imperfection is beautiful", it didn't feel like a satisfying conclusion for the viewer, even if victor might have had to hear it. ON TOP OF THAT we never actually got explained anything regarding Victor and his descent to evil and how the fuck that happened.

In the end nothing seemed like it had changed, Piltover is still oppressive, the only reason why they work with Zaun now is because they fought a common enemy once. Sevika (my beloved) gets looked down on in the council and as the only Undercity-member it's impossible for her to overturn a vote in Zauns favour. Cait is still a cop, not having changed anything about herself, Vi has nobody besides her, no family. Mel seems unhappy, Ekko is definitely unhappy and in a worse spot than before. I frankly don't care what happened to Jayce and Viktor, but their ending is the only one that would keep me on my toes for more. Which brings me to a hot take, possibly: I think we might have been queerbaited, hear me out. We got lesbians (which I am eternally grateful for), but thes were a thing since early season 1, after season one people started talking about Jayvik, which wasn't supposed to happen originally, but since it brought engagement they made their relationship a bigger part of the story. Possibly also the reason why Vi and Caits relationship seemed rather rushed and inorganic at the end. you can disagree with me on this.

Lastly I have to talk about Vi, a character that I couldn't relate to for most of season two, because it's been a while since I had to deal with situationships and breakups. All that made me overlook what Vi really stands for. She might seem hard and tough, but mostly she is looking for comfort, she loses people close to her constantly and is therefore constantly in search of another safe space. A safe space that is never really provided. Cait doesn't understand her trauma, her upbringing, her culture or her family, and she never bothers to understand it. She never shows remorse to what she did in the undercity, she never questions Piltover (only ambessa, an outsider). She never sees Jinx as someone who deserves redemption, she never sees why Vi is struggling, she never makes an effort to care about her past and her experiences. You might wonder why Vi still is with her, but it's honestly obvious enough, it's because she doesn't have anyone else left. Cait at least loves her for her personality or her looks or whatever, and that's more than anybody else loves her. I hated that they put her back with Cait in Piltover, it seems very abusive to me, considering what we know of Cait (she might be different now, but we never get to see any of that, so I'm assuming freely). Vi will take anything and everything to make herself get some comfort, however toxic that behaviour may be. I see that as the reason why she folds so easily whenever Cait shows interest and forgives immediately. She didn't find well deserved peace in the end with Jinx (and Cait), she got "good enough for now". Nothing was addressed, nothing changed. AND JUST TO CLARIFY I AM HAPPY ABOUT THE LESBIAN REPRESENTATION AND I AM VERY GLAD WE GOT IT, OVERALL I THINK THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS VERY INTERESTING TO WATCH. JUST LIKE THE REST OF THE SHOW I DIDN'T LIKE THE END.

For a show that was about the people, we got horrifyingly little people focused resolutions. The last burial we see was Rictus, but dozens of people die after him. We didn't talk about Isha, we didn't talk about Jinx, Ekko wasnt even allowed to get a word in after he deus ex machina saved everything. Sevika didn't get any conclusion. Mel seems on the same path as her mother. Jayce and Viktor are to my knowledge still astral projecting through space. Cait never learned compassion with Zaunites. Vander couldn't be saved. An unsatisfying end.

Tldr:

- Jinx's death was bad, mentally ill people should be saved and their illness shouldn't be glorified over them

- none of the story lines seem finished and rushed to an end

the way venture will trend on twitter and you see the foulest posts about their looks and personality as if the traits they dislike aren’t present in other characters too.

theyre loud and corny (endearing) which is fine to dislike i suppose (rampant hate for them is weird though) but the issue of their looks is actually an insane problem to have. theres multiple unconventionally attractive characters in overwatch and the only ones i can think of at the top of my head are men. they dont fit this common denominator as they are nonbinary, but the necessity for them to be attractive to the masses or whatever is something ive only seen towards female characters and women in general. maybe its just because people see sloan as “woman lite TM” so theyre expected to follow a beauty standard.

anywhooo tumblr kinda scares me because this is the only social media where ppl can like ,,, perceive me (my twitter is priv and i literally just talk to myself on it) but the atmosphere about my favs and overwatch in general here is so much better. we are cringe and free !!! venture is perfect all around 2 me and to a lot of other people too and the community built around the little guy is v sweet :) loved to see it build up since their announcement
