I was having a pretty good week, then at school I got told to call my mom and while my mom was yelling at me over the phone I came across what I assume can only be an omen of death so uh. Probably not a good sign

I finally started playing the 2021 Guardians of the Galaxy game! It's so much fun! Rambling about Rocket below

Ok so he seems to use macabre humor to cover his pain. In the Quarantine Zone he remarks that if he hadn’t escaped we would probably be walking over bits of him right then. Like dude, that’s so morbid don’t say that 💀His past very clearly still bothers him, why wouldn’t it it was horrible, but he tries to brush it off or seem casual about it to hide his vulnerability. I did love when we first arrived and Rocket was geeking out about all the ships and weapons that were there, he’s such a little nerd ❤️❤️❤️

I liked when he told Quill to stop the fake techno babble “Don’t make up tech stuff, it’s annoying.” 🤣 He also chastised me when I went down the wrong path, but going off the beaten path is how you find collectibles, Rocket! It’s like he’s never played a videogame before smh my head. Btw as someone who grew up watching Pokemon I was simply delighted that our group was called Team Rocket lol My immediate response was TO PROTECT THE WORLD FROM DEVASTATION! And I kept making jokes to myself about how the monster we were gonna capture was Pikachu, I had way too much fun with that 😂

I love that Rocket’s the one who upgrades your weapons! It makes me so happy to go to him and get a tech upgrade, I’m always so giddy and afterwards I’m like ‘Thank you, Rocket’ ❤️🥰🥹✨💖 And when he does it he wears his goggles 🥺❤️

I’m most familiar with MCU Rocket who only gave bits of backstory when very drunk so I was surprised when Rocket in the game was more open to talking about it. I found the spinal control unit so I was able to get some further details from him, and all of them were sad :( RIP Lylla again she can never catch a break. His story about being controlled and doing things against his own will and all he could was watch like his own body was a prison was gutting. I wish there was a ‘hug Rocket’ button because man 😭

When they were debating about who would get sold to Lady Hellbender I wanted to step in to defend Rocket when he accepted being a monster the way he defended Groot but I wasn’t given that option >:( 

(I got an interaction later on between Quill and Groot where he tells Groot he thinks he’s awesome and reassures him that doesn’t see him as a monster and I did really like that! It makes me wonder if there’s a similar interaction with Rocket if you choose to sell him.) 

Also Rocket’s friendship with Groot is so cute! It’s so obvious how much he cares for him 🥺I love that he has a little Groot bead in his beard too.

Of course I stopped Drax from tossing Rocket across the ravine. I saw clips of it online and while admittedly it is kinda funny I could never do that to him 😞 It wasn’t even that hard to find an alternate way across. The worst part of the level was watching Rocket drown in jello over and over again because I kept failing the quicktime event 😭 That’s apparently a common issue though because I looked up a tutorial for it and everyone in the comments was complaining about how they ran into the same problem. I’m so sorry Rocket 😢 Once we got out of the stupid jello Groot cradled Rocket like a baby 🥺 Their friendship is the frickin’ cutest I love it so much. Speaking of Groot though his arms were free so he totally could’ve pulled us out of the jello but whatever 

Okay one more thing when Rocket is assuring Groot he’ll break him out of Lady Hellbender’s fortress and he says, “I’ll do it Rocket-style if I have to.” And he gives him a little wink! Ugh I love him so much!!! ❤️ So yeah looking forward to continuing my adventure with him (and the other Guardians too lol) I’ll make another post once I progress further in the game 🙂

Quitting Weed Day 9 Status Report 📝

to start off , i'll say, i do indeed feel like Ass ! this post might get a tad emo. regretting my life choices to smoke for as long as i have 😕 But then again, maybe that's harsh, cus i was just doing the best i could with the circumstances i been dealt in the past.

i couldnt just quit cold turkey cus every time i try that its way too intense and i alwaus end up going back. So the past 9 days i've been hitting my (extremely weak) weed cart a couple times a night, only after 9pm, just to help me sleep. Before that i was smoking probly like. 5-8 bowls a day, followed by hitting the weed pen RELENTLESSLY all night until i passed out. So its still been a huge change lol. From tonight onwards tho i'm done w the weed pen and ready to try 0 thc 🙏

kind friend @palmceader sent me a CBD tincture made for sleep (thanku again 🥹) which im sure has a TINY percentage of thc, but nothing even close to how much im used to.

i cant even imagine how fried my dopamine receptors are, cus honestly, i feel Fucked. spaced out is an understatement. i cant focus on anything and its kinda driving me insane. it feels impossible to read or draw or do any of my hobbies.. my body feels heavy and depressed. No motivation. its kinda the opposite of what i was expecting. i can barely keep my eyes open during the day..

on a brighter note i havent been struggling too much with sleep or appetite. i think sleepy time tea + the tincture + magnesium is rly helping. my dreams recall is already improving so much, and the times i have nightmares arent as bad as its been previous times i tried to quit. i havent rly struggled with cravings at all either, which used to be a huge obstacle for me ! im just so over it now. i was starting to get chest pains and coughing a lot, which was taking any joy out of the act of smoking for me.

morbid to say but I often think of my father and how his rampant addictions directly lead him to such a painful and horrific early death. its a rare perspective of imagery so disturbing , i know i can't go on in such a manner. Like, what a fucking fool i would be! For others i can understand it but for me, no. it has haunted me for a long time to know i'm letting myself go down that path, even with all my insistent self-justification that his death is what brought me to this in the first place. deep down ive been knowing i need to break the cycle like i have the choice and the power, im still alive im still here ..

Sorry if thats depressing to bring up! i do feel depressed tho. i cant use weed to hide from my pain anymore.. i have to rewire my whole ass method of coping with stress at age 30. i know i can do it but its gonnnna be a long winded process full of ups n downs. Running away is no longer an option and thats a lot to face! a lot of old wounds i never rly dealt with, cus i kept my head in the 💨clouds💨 for so long.

i promise not to give up this time tho no matter how hard it gets 🙏 i want to set a good example too like indunno a lot of younger ppl follow me now i dont wanna feed into narratives that may influence them in bad directions. i have a responsible heart. i rly dont think weed is cool i havent since i was like 16. i was just dependent on it so i tried to romanticisze its role in my life. its silly.

im kinda laughing now cus im like god, i initially felt like the reason im quitting is so i can be more active in my dream world, but the more i think about it the more i notice MANY many more reasons to quit that go way deeper.

All in all the reason im talking about it is to maybe inspire other ppl who have been on the verge of quitting but too afraid to rly take the plunge-- Ur not alone, ur not weak for being addicted, if u need to reach out to me u are more than welcome.

Ppl rly downplay weed addiction cus the withdrawals arent life threatening like other substances, but that doesnt mean its a walk in the park. Most ppl i know who are stoners have never been able to quit for similar reasons as me. It takes a major psychological hold over u. if u ever need to vent about it or need advice, im here!

if u read all of this, pls dont worry abt me xD Even if it feels miserable rn i have faith things will improve, the heaviness and brainfog will lift, the emotions will be purged, i am excited for my future. One day at a time....Dont giving up 🙏

Hi, I wanted to tell you the way you describe Pelle's autism and Varg's trauma in your fic is amazing. I started to see a lot of common traits in both of them and this shows how deep their connection goes. This is probably the best story I've read in terms of psychology.

I really try my hardest to show how similar are autism and ptsd/cptsd. Both conditions have the same effect on the brain, and they overlap countless times like for example:

-repetitive/ self-soothing behaviours and living in routine. Both Pelle and Varg need that sense of 'safety' that comes with having everything known beforehand. They need certain patterns in everyday life in order to feel self-regulated and to function.

-sensory sensitivity. This is a bit more evident in Pelle's behaviour, tho, but this is the baseline for both of them. Sensory triggers like: the feel, taste, sound, and smell (especially smell) are things that both Varg and Pelle react very strongly to. For one, it's connected to a traumatic event. For the other, it's part of being on the spectrum.

They also have a very hard time returning to emotional regulation after being triggered. It takes days.

-avoidance behaviours. This is self-explanatory.

-intrusive memories and flashbacks. They both have nightmares, difficulties at separating the past from the presence, insomnia, obsessively repetitive thoughts, etc.

- hypervigilance. Both Pelle and Varg have this 'fight of flight' predisposition all the time. We all know who is gonna do what in a dangerous situation lol

It's also very exhausting living always on the edge, but it's not like they have an alternative.

- dissociation. Trauma response for one and autistic overload for the other

-nihilistic view on the world and on themselves. Maltreatment at home and trust issues is the recipe for both Pelle and Varg's general negativity. Depression is also a co-morbidity in both autism and ptsd.

-impulse control difficulties. I don't know who is WORSE from both of them lol

I love psychology so much, I would talk for hours about this subject. Sorry for rambling, I felt the opportunity to maybe make people more 'aware' for the things that are kinda hidden inside the story 😭

I have more headcanons! These are kinda based on my and other people's past asks.

I don't know what slay the princess is but the platonic obsession from the players side is such a cool concept! I imagine they would be dramatic with it and to piss dust off might just pluck and kill flowey to make him into a flower bouquet for Dust, or almost get killed by him so they could kiss his hand to annoy him, and give him a golden heart necklace as some sort of chain to them. Silly smug bastard Player my beloved <3

About the Frisk comment, I think that when the Players gets a vessel and Frisk is just empty and left behind, the player might just set them up like a doll when they're bored and not fighting. Like how a child plays dollhouse they might sit Frisk down in Toriel's empty house and have a teaparty with the kid while waiting for Dust to find them.

Dust would probably walk in on the morbid scene and see the barley living child and the psycho sitting together. The player themself treating their old body with such tender care but at the same time like just a useless ragdoll.

They to talk so sweetly to the cusp of a child, and yet their voice has the undertone of someone filled with anger and jealousy. It must be disgusting to witness.

im not proship myself but at the same time it seems completely unrealistic and infeasible to try to put a stop to it, people r gonna write and create stuff like that no matter what, and i genuinely do believe that some of it is done for shock value/attention , and giving it a response or acknowledgment is what they want. basically i take a sort of "dont feed the trolls" mentality about it. i dont want to see it but i also dont want to let it get to me. the internet is a place where theres some truly heinous and nasty shit out there and i feel like you'll destroy yourself mentally if you make it a major thing to worry about.

i do kinda live online but the fsct is that for the most part (outside of some things ive heard abt happening at like fan conventions) that it can be avoided by logging off. so becsuse of that as well i dont find it exactly an issue thats worth prioritising the way some ppl who r against pro-ship stuff are.

way more important things to spend your life worrying over.

out of morbid curiosity i once read a fanfic that touted itself as being inspired by such. i wanted to see what that author thinks being inspired by nabokov's work means, and not big surprise, it was masturbatory slop.

sure its possible that you can write fanfic that involves dubious subjects like that and do it well, but its rare.

irt to people who say they write it to cope, i have my doubts on that as well unless its a story where its clear that characters involved will grow and heal, or its very clear its written as a cautionary tale or something to that effect. maybe some ppl out there legit do cope with writing something that i find to just be nasty masturbatory slop, i dont know, but i dont know if thsts actually a healthy coping mechanism.

many ppl say that if you want to do that you should make it all original, but i think we are past that point, and fanfic is a medium that a lot of ppl use to express and cope about things. I've done it myself (albeit unpublished) and i find that argument to mostly be based in that they feel its cringe bc its fanfic rather than anything to do with genuine criticism.

ive also noticed the emergence of new terms like "comship" ? i kind of forget whst this means i think its like being neutral on it? i find it a bit shitty that ppl consider neutrality on it to be a bad thing? i csnt blame someone for not giving a shit about it. i think its lame to expect everyone whos involved with fandom to pick a camp to sit in, especially when the subject matter is often triggering. someones neutrality could be bc they dont want to think about it too much for that reason.

and as far as it goes though for RPF? i think it's really not THAT bad of a thing. especially bc in all honesty its moreso about that persons public persona. & just because its parasocial doesnt mean its wrong to do, thats simply a descriptor of the dynamic between fanbases & public figures. there is some absolutely NASTY and questionable stuff out there especially like for kpop bands 😭

that being said public figures do have the right to be uncomfortable about it either way and i do find it unfortunate and disrespectful that fans arent willing to listen to them when/if they say they dont like having it written about them. my thoughts are not super organised about it, and just to preface I have no experience working in a kitchen or at a restaurant or anything like that, the closest I’ve come to culinary school was learning the 5 c’s of cooking when I was 12 :O I actually really like the environment being so fast and loud and bitchy, I know it’s not necessarily a healthy one and I’m not saying I want people to actually experience that but I think it is incredibly interesting to get to see that dynamic, watching carmy kind of descend a little bit further each episode into himself, and watching him get punished for pretty much every decision he makes makes for a compelling watch right, kind of like morbid curiosity and a train wreck. I think carmy as a whole is a great character, not in that he’s good but he’s super real, he’s deeply flawed, but he’s also been hurt very badly, and that doesn’t excuse all of the stuff that he does and it doesn’t have to. I think we are approaching a time where people are expected to be very sanitised versions of themselves, where one mistake brands you as a bad person forever in some people’s eyes as kind of a purity culture, and I think it’s being reflected in the TV we watch or maybe protested because the moral ambiguity of characters at least to me seems to be on the rise, nearly every character I’m watching is a bad person in someone’s eyes and as someone who constantly fights extreme feelings of guilt I really like that, seeing people are just as much of a mess as me and seeing them work through it. to me, I think carmy comes across as somebody who ‘fawns’ which is a kind of survival instinct and a way of coping, when he goes to his AA meetings and we hear his monologue (to me this was my favourite bit of the whole show besides seeing tina learn new things) it resonated with me so much I think I watched it three times in a row. I just love him, I love his resolve, I love his spite, I love that he wants to take better care of the poeple around him than he’s actually capable of. And to not stay so heavy, I thought the show was really funny and extremely dynamic(?) in that it didn’t bore your eyes, everything looks interesting. I love when carmy and richie fight, like the hot dog fight, and then again when the health inspector comes. I ALSO love when Sydney and richie fight. I think richie is incredibly dislikable but he creeps up on you anyways, and poor sydney deserves better treatment from just about everyone, the amount of physical and mental labour she is responsible for is insanity. I am so excited for the new season to see where carmys head is, his relationship with sugar, to see if sydney finally gets some of the respect she deserves but also to see if she can relax and actually reach her full potential rather than constantly have to fight to be heard? I would also like though more conversation between her and carmy about the kitchen meltdown episode because I thought there was way more to be said about her fuck up and also her stabbing richie 😭 and carmy being a massive dick lol. I hope this is what you meant when you wanted to hear my thoughts, I’m so sorry if it isn’t

I really can't say where Consequences came from. I think I had just binged season 2 of The Tudors when I had the idea (where Anne Boleyn is executed). And it got me thinking about, 'if this is how medieval england treats their QUEEN, how the hell do they treat the lowborn servants'. That alongside the snippet of plot we get for Dyana in HOTD S1, it just came to me. I knew it was going to be a mini-series of sorts, as I had the plot planned out and the ending before I started (which is v unlike me lol).

I wanted to write a story where it doesn't romanticise royalty, pretending that all these people born into such privilege are inherently good people, because they're not. I think so often we don't think about the lowborn servants who are in contact with these people daily, how easily forgotten they are and how little society actually gives a fuck about the forgotten women in history.

Yes, we're allowed to feel sorry for Aemond in certain situations, bc that's very human, but he is extremely lucky to be in the position he is. He has no responsibilities other than marrying a noblewoman (since he's not technically in line for the throne) and he gets to just be a Prince every day of his life, getting what he wants and he feels entitled to it without second thought.

I wanted us as a reader to feel conflicted. We love the maidservant, would DIE for her, bc all she's doing is trying her best in a world where everything is against her. That is why I didn't do any alternative endings, as an anon said at the time, 'in real life there never usually is' and I wanted her death to feel as crushing to us as it would have if we actually knew her.

first off, KoaC is predominately about a victorious!geno who enters the multiverse after erasing his timeline. The development of his relationship with Nightmare (among others) is the driving force behind the plot, and therefore it would be heavy spoilers to describe it now.

Nightmare is a badmare-leaning bitchmare, but is still only Nightmare. The human soul/essence was removed almost immediately.

Killer, Murder ("Dust"), Horror, and Cross are all under Nightmare's control. Needless to say, they hate him. They only kind of hate each other though. Killer's general nature and his position as Nightmare's favorite create a bit of distance between him and the others, but there's a trauma-bonded, coping mechanism, fucked up solidarity between them.

Despite never actually being together, Nightmare and Error act like toxic, bitter exes. Killer was the only subordinate around when Nightmare's arrogance blew up in his face, and he very, very quietly enjoyed the vengeance Error dealt to Nightmare. That's all I'll say about that for the time being lol.

Nightmare is terrified of Reaper and does all he can to avoid him. Reaper knows this and acknowledges that it's partly his own fault, but he also partly doesn't care. It isn't Reaper's job to pay attention to Nightmare, but Nightmare is familiar to him, which means that Reaper is at least a little bit fond of him. Whenever they do cross paths, Reaper makes sure to verbally poke him a bit.

Reaper and Error have a long history. Error's "job" tended to mess with Reaper's job, which then messed with Error's job. Basically, they saw each other a lot in the early days. Error found Reaper incredibly frustrating at the start, because he was unkillable, and he was taking the abominations Error was trying to erase, and he was always tALKING WHILE ERROR WAS TRYING TO FOCUS- yeah. Error loosened up over time, enough to even trade quips back and forth and compete a little. He grew a little dependent on the vague feeling of companionship between them, and Reaper was the one he went to when he wanted a way to die. Reaper, for his part, is fond of Error, but that fondness is tainted by guilt and sadness. Error is still the first Geno, and Reaper feels a bit of responsibility that he wasn't able to convince Geno to rest, thus leading to Error's painful existence. Errors cannot be "saved" by Reaper, so now all Reaper can offer him is friendly banter when they see each other.

Reaper knows Horror quite well. Because Horror was already "dead", he could see Reaper whenever he came to collect the humans Horror had killed in his AU. Reaper's reaction to Horror's situation was "yikes", which Horror found darkly funny (and even a little refreshing). They share a morbid sense of humor, and Horror genuinely enjoyed any distraction he could get from his reality. Their first meeting after Horror had been taken by Nightmare was an accident on Horror's part, but after that, whenever he needed a distraction and could get away with it, Horror would kill one random person on purpose for the chance to talk to Reaper. Reaper doesn't offer to help Horror, and Horror doesn't ask him to. Being able to talk to someone outside of Nightmare's influence, to experience any amount of normalcy, for a few moments is enough to ground him.

Reaper did not spend as much time raising Dream as Ink did, but in some ways Reaper's influence was much more important. Reaper taught Dream what it meant to be a Guardian, not a hero or a servant. He knows that Dream won't ever be able to just be a Guardian after eating the golden apple (now carrying his domain inside himself), but he does his best to help Dream figure out and understand what his responsibilities actually are. They occasionally see each other in the aftermath of Nightmare's attacks. Reaper is much softer to Dream than to anyone else, and Dream tries to focus on Reaper's voice in his head, instead of those of the villagers.

Fuck I got carried away, okay, time to speedrun the rest (edit: I did not speedrun the rest)

On the omega timeline side of things, swap sans #1 aka "swap" was living there after his universe was destroyed. He is good friends with Lust and Dance (who are besties), but his closest friends for sure are Sci and Fell. They play dnd together and other silly-serious roleplaying stuff. Blueberror offered his place in swap timeline #2 to him, but Swap declined. Even though he declined, he still appreciated the offer so so so much. Swap is Berror's number one defender and doesn't let anyone in the omega timeline get away with talking badly about him (even if he may deserve it).

Fell, Comic (classic), Sci, Swap, Outer, Dream, Blue (swap #3), Epic, and Blueberror (among others) are all part of the Reducing the Effects of Nightmare's Bullshit group. This mostly just includes providing aid to a timeline after the attack has already happened to mitigate the spread and staying power of the negativity. Epic mostly just assists Sci when he needs it, and brings every report back to Ccino's to share with the squad.

Epic sanses are epic sanses. They love each other, and they spend a lot of their time in the corner booth at Ccino's. Ccino (#2) has been in the omega timeline for years and hasn't left it. He's never met Nightmare before, and his friends (especially Delta) are insistent on keeping it that way. He knows that the Ccino from Fluffytale #1 was involved with Nightmare somehow, and disappeared (was pronounced dead) sometime after. He knows that Epic, Delta, and Color all hate Nightmare with varying degrees of intensity, so he's fine disliking Nightmare by proxy. The front counter at Ccino's is usually taken up by Outer and Farm. The three are besties. Outer and Ccino specifically being in a qpr. No one knows how Farm finds the time to laze around the cafe And grow enough to supply the cafe with half its ingredients. No one knows if he ever sleeps.

Rolling back around to Blueberror, he and Error go through a LOT of ups and downs, but they settle on being prickly besties. They can't actually spend a lot of time together before friendly arguments start to get heated. They don't Want to hate each other, so they try to avoid the past and mostly just gossip about other people. They feel tied together, but their edges don't fit together at all and being that close quickly gets uncomfortable, if not painful, but there's no one else who really gets it, so... they manage. It's not great by any means, but it's the best that two errors can do.

Blueberror and Fresh, on the other hand, get along great. On the surface, you'd think they were the best of friends, but their feelings for each other are actually surprisingly shallow. Sure, Blueberror is interesting, but he's interesting in the way that Error was already interesting, so Fresh doesn't actually spare him much of his thought or focus. Berror doesn't mind that at all. Prefers it, actually. They have a good, fun, easy "friendship" that doesn't actually require much from them.

Error and Fresh sure are something. No one knows what, but it's something.

Nightmare and Fresh are... neutral. Fresh owes much of his emotional intelligence to reading every book in Nightmare's library, which he only did with Nightmare's permission. Fresh is respectful... for the most part. He can't help but throw a half-hidden jab in here and there when they talk. Nightmare figures it's just his nature to do so, and lets him off with a warning every time. Fresh absolutely means them.

Ink is not actually around much. His "job" has him traveling all across the multiverse. He doesn't linger anywhere for very long, and he doesn't care to form any meaningful connections with anyone. Error is the only exception to this, and Ink has yet to figure out why that is. He woke Dream from his stone prison at the insistence of a Creator that doing so would help curb Error and Nightmare's rampage (it did not. One could even say it made Nightmare worse.). He'll say he raised Dream, but he didn't really do much, nor does he care about Dream any more than he does about other "important" outcodes.

Dream loves Blue (swap #3). It's actually crazy how much Dream loves Blue. Blue taught Dream to fight, Blue fights by Dream's side in a way no one else does, Blue makes Dream feel like a person, Blue catches his bad habits, Blue listens to him talk, Blue remembers his favorite flowers, how many blankets he likes to sleep with, which desserts he does and doesn't like, his opinion on cotton vs linen. The two of them are more than a little codependent actually. Blue tries to be more levelheaded about their relationship, but it's not easy to be. They're both quite young, for outcodes, and neither one has ever had a partner like this before. If they had any time to settle down, they would be able to work through it and be a little healthier about it, but as it is, Dream has to constantly protect the multiverse from Nightmare, and Blue has to constantly protect Dream from Nightmare.

Blueberror makes Blue viscerally uncomfortable, but he tries not to let that color his interactions with him.

Fatal's origins are a bit different in this multiverse than in his canon, but rest assured he still wants to kick Error's ass. Double G comes from the same inciting incident as Fatal, but has something else completely going on. He goes around interrupting the genocide scripts he finds (Ink is constantly trying to get him to stop). If he stumbles across a timeline that Fatal has interfered with, he regards the glitching aftermath fondly. He can't remember why exactly.

I think everyone else's relationships are either as expected, or not all that relevant to this specific story. None of Geno's relationships happen right away, especially not his relationship with Murder, but I had to tease that found family >:3

✩࿐ Learn about the different types of yanderes there are! Experiment writing for more than one type to find which ones you like to write about.

Now, obviously there isn’t a study guide to yanderes, and I’m not saying research them religiously either. But, to write for them, you should know about the different types of yanderes out there in the fanfiction world. Some of them are sweeter, gentler, and maybe more lenient with their prey. Others…not so much!

Examples of the differences can be found in the fics tagged below! [Of course, these are based on my personal opinion. What is considered “soft” to some people, is “hard” to others. ‼️Read with caution!‼️]

Different creators are better at writing different subjects. You just have to feel out writing for some of them and see which feel more comfortable to write about. Yanderes don't have to be kept inside the box of being 24/7 off-the-rails crazy. They can be patronizing, manipulative, scary, adorable, sweet, kind; everything under the sun! As such, “soft” and “hard” yanderes aren’t the only ones out there. They all are on a scale that weighs on craziness, delusionality, manipulation, obsession, and more. Yanderes don’t all love the same amount, some are more in-touch with reality than others, so they don’t all have to be head-over-heels for (Y/N) [unless you wish to write them that way! And to that I’d say PLEASE GOD YES! 🤤 I love being worshiped teehee 🤭].

Your are setting yourself at a disadvantage if you only know how to write yanderes in one specific way. I mean, who wants to read multiple different stories that have basically the same yandere character who has the same goals, the same flaws, and the same downfalls as the previous ones? And to read it over and over and over again? Exactly, no one wants that. It gets repetitive, boring, and, worst of all, forgetful. Try to make your yanderes/the way you write your yanderes memorable.

✩࿐ Think about the thousands of different ways people express love. Now, think about how horrifically you can twist them to become yandere~!

That came off REALLY strong, but hear me out!

One way people express their love is through letters, yes? It's normally seen as sweet, adorable, and even innocent. Just an doe-eyed person in love who’s too shy to share their feelings face-to-face with the person they care about. So, they jot everything they want to say down on a neat clean piece of paper and leave it for their infatuation to find. Simple, right?

Now, imagine the contents in that letter being disturbing and possibly morbid in the worst way. The words inside give worrisomely detailed descriptions of how the author adores the smell of the darling's shampoo/perfume/cologne/natural scent, how cute the darling looks when they’re at home and think they’re alone, about how good the darling looks in red because that was the color of the underwear they were wearing today (which subtlety lets the reader know that that specific letter was wrote recently which is even creepier!). Not so cute anymore, right?

Everything is about context!

Maybe the letter had miniscule specks of dried dark red liquid dotted around the page. Maybe a photo or two (or dozens) of the victim that are obviously taken when the darling was unsuspecting/alone were stuffed alongside the letter. Maybe the yandere continues to write about how they would say anything, do anything, hurt anyone, for the darling, if only it made them show their captivating smile.

Doesn't even have to be a letter! Maybe its a verbal conversation between the yandere and the darling, a not so playful chase through the woods on a dark night, a proclamation of love through kidnapping, or drugging the darling so they can steal them away to somewhere safer; anything!

Let your creativity have room to breathe. Try new things out! Not every story is going to be perfect, but no idea is a bad one (unless it is. Then stop. LMAOOOO jk jk).

✩࿐ Yanderes are allowed to be interested in more than, and have goals that aren't related to, (Y/N).

At the end of the day, yanderes are still people too. Many writers fall into the trap of writing yanderes who solely revolve around (Y/N); hell, I do it too! But, as easy as it is to write the characters in that way, that is not how real people work. Even fictional characters.

The best example I can think of is Katsuki Bakugo from My Hero Academia. Bakugo is a very driven individual; he is stubborn, determined, and a headache. He is in your face all the time, and he is unapologetic for it. He knows, or pretends to know, that he is the absolute shit. And, subsequently, his goals match his cocky energy exquisitely! He wants to be the #1 Pro Hero among thousands of incredibly talented individuals. But he knows he’s got the stuff to be the #1. He’s a great cocky character.

The problem is, when people write him as a yandere, they make him so focused on (Y/N) that the goals that align with how the character was truly wrote evaporate into thin air. It is unrealistic that the thing he's wanted most in the world for his whole life, his dream above literally everything else (to be the #1 at everything), gets tossed away like that. It would take a literal world-ending event to stop that boy from getting what he wants.

You have to think about the character's needs as well as your readers'. Your readers want the character to have an obsessive love for them in a way no real sane person can, but the character you write has their own goals and dreams they strive for in their personal lives. You need to find the balance between the two to make a better story.

And it isn't only Bakugo! This applies to every character you write as a yandere! It can Gojo, Diluc, Genos, Rengoku, Hawks, Beelzebub, Mikasa, Yor, Erza, Yumeko, Robin; any of them! Every character has goals, even tiny ones, so make sure you include them. Give the characters life and real development besides the fact that you are changing them to be "yandere".

Going back to your wild thoughts on Ada looking for Leon in case of his "death", I think she would have a similar reaction to Leon's "death" as to what Leon had in the live-action movies (can't remember which one) where he basically said "No. She's alive. She's got a plan, she figured a way out." Ada would absolutely refuse to believe Leon was dead. Like she says in Separate Ways, "Leon's been through worse and he always comes up smelling like roses." She knows him, he's extremely capable. But if Leon actually died, Ada would be a mess. Since she so often is looking out for him and rescuing him, she would blame herself for not being there, not knowing, not doing something that could've helped him. And, like the end of RE6, she would eventually turn that grief into anger and go on a full on rampage that either ends with her dead, or the people responsible for Leon's death dead. RE6 is one of the only times we really see Ada's emotions. Not filtered through a mask of indifference, just raw emotion, and while I would like to see more of that, I wouldn't want it to be at the expense of Leon's death and Ada's mental and emotional health.
