My crazy crazy theory for Sonic 4

Believe me, I have a crazy CRAZY theory (and I'm aware that it's very unlikely to happen, I'm just doing it for fun)

With the post-credits scene, we have seen Metal Sonic, it is curious that it is not just 1, but a lot of them. SEGA generally prefers Metal Sonic to be treated as a unique individual and not a mass-produced model. Although there have been exceptions (such as in Sonic Heroes, with multiple Metal Sonics) So, there is no explicit rule that says "there can only be one Metal Sonic" in every media.

Why in Sonic 3 post credit scene, whe can see multiple Metal Sonic?

These mechas look more like Metal Sonic 3.0 design than the main Metal Sonic, they have a darker color and yellow/amber details. It's probably they get a slight redesign for the next movie, it already happened with Tails and Shadow. Who is mass producing these models? Maybe, it's G.U.N, taking a preventive measure against potentially dangerous aliens (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow). Using Sonic's quills. BUT the most powerful models gets self-awareness, believing that it is the real Sonic. That's why he'll hunt Sonic using his "brothers" and proving HE is the real one.

Special mention for "Imitadora" by Romeo Santos, I need it for Sonic 4 sountrack.

Metal Sonic Breaking Point?

How does Metal reach a breaking point? With "Me pica un pulmón" ("My lung itches" in english) Of course!

Why?... It's obvious, Metal is not an organic being. If in any point in the plot, Sonic is injured, Metal can enter an identity crisis, a mecha cannot breathe or feel. That breaking point would lead him to become Metal Overlord. To have that power he would absorb his "brothers".

One of the Mecha Sonic 3.0 models can rebel against its programming and become part of our heroes' team. This being the possible return of one of my favorite characters in the Archie comics: Shard the metal, a rebel metal sonic.

It's that or it's just a dream that Sega is not going to fulfill for me.

Hello everyone! This is one of a few posts I'm thinking about doing theorizing what we might see in Sonic 4. The topic of the day: Amy Rose's origin in the movies. 

I've mentioned it in other posts, but our dear pink girl will need a stronger backstory, so here's my two cents.

I think Amy Rose will be a native of Little Planet.

For those who don't know what it is, Little Planet is a planetoid with special properties that appears punctually above Never Lake for approximately one month each year and disappears completely for the remaining eleven months, on Mobius. It first appears in Sonic CD.

It is so mysterious that it travels through space never specified where it can be found for the rest of the year, without being bound by gravitational fields, described as "a world that defies time" and "where past, present and future collide”. 

You heard right, Little Planet is a place where TIME TRAVEL is a reality. I even think that Ivo didn't die, but the explosion of the Eclipse cannon, with so much chaos energy, ended up sending him there, but that's a theory for another day.

The point is that Little Planet is extremely powerful and full of life and energy, to the point of creating its own flora and fauna and, in the context of the film, it can be filled with chaos energy and use it to mess with time and space. 

Not only does Little Planet have innate powers, but it is also where the Times Stones reside, which also appeared in Sonic CD, which is probably the reason why the place never stops.

The Times Stones are similar to the Chaos Emeralds in the “jewels with insane powers” ​​category. They are relics that allow their user to travel through time and re-write history to cause miracles to happen. No, you heard right, the Times Stones are 7 gems that can completely rewrite history, able to command time itself in order to cause miracles to happen. And yes, it is an insane power.

Knowing this, I theorize that, in the movies, Little Planet is inhabited by a population that learned to use the energy of chaos for temporal manipulation, such as the ability to see the future, the past, travel through time, among other things.

They would also have advanced technology, since in Sonic CD there are industrial hubs, high-tech cities on Little Planet and Amy's hammer is clearly technological in the post-credits.

I also believe that the people of Little Planet have a cultural philosophy of actions and consequences and the common good, similar to the honor and struggle of the echidnas that Knuckles possesses, rooted in the Times Stones and their social importance. Perhaps believing that one should not interfere in how life is and avoid selfish decisions in the name of a good future for all. This would give Amy a personal conflict, who is probably in a race against time to change destiny.

This next one may be a bit morbid, but I believe that the natives of the planetoid, and Amy, may have a very melancholic and beautiful view of life and death. After all, everyone's time comes to an end and this would be more present in a civilization so collectivist and guided by time.

The people of Little Planet may be great valuers of memories and, although the end comes for everyone, death should not be feared because it is natural and the memories, the love, will always be there. And love may even be one of the most important feelings for the people there. The Little Planet civilization may see love as the only thing that transcends time, perhaps wanting to spread it throughout the world the planet is in. In general, a balanced and pacifist society.

Which makes the eventual domination that it will possibly undergo in the fourth film even worse and more brutal.

Ok. Sonic 4. Metal Sonic and Amy. Sonic CD. Time Stones. Good and Bad futures. Time manipulation. All of that stuff. An idea, a concept if u will...

Agent Stone becomes the main antagonist of Sonic Movie 4 not out of a desire to take over the world, but in an attempt to use the Time Stones to save Robotnik from the explosion of the Ark.

"I already lost you once! I-! ...I can't lose you again." Half of that dialogue was the last words Stone got to speak to Robotnik.

If he knew there was a way how, he would make sure they never had to be.

This might just be a beta design thing and will change for the final version, but this is a theory I have based on it.

When we see Amy’s face, she notably has no quills in her hair. Again, it might just be a prototype model like the other movies had, but there might be a reason for that.

We’ve already been guessing Metal Sonic is powered by Amy’s chaos energy, so that means whomever created him must have gotten accept to her quills.

Also, Amy relies on her hammer instead, which also has chaos energy, and also a panel that appears to be capable of opening up and putting a power supply in it. But where could she have gotten something like that?

Here’s my theory: The main villain captured Amy and pulled out all her quills to power the Metal Sonic army and other weaponry. Amy somehow escaped, and stole the hammer to make up for her handicap.

My Predictions For Sonic The Hedgehog 4

Spoilers for the Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Movie's Post Credits scene below this.

So as we know from the post credits scene, the next movie will be will have Amy Rose and Metal Sonic in it.

Due to their first game involving time travel and Metal Sonic appearing like the Terminator does I believe this movie will involve time travel.

Now who is sending Metal Sonic after Sonic?

My first guess is it could be G.U.N. as throughout the movies they have antagonized and lied to the Sonic and friends. On top of that they ordered the creation of the Eclipse Cannon, the whole thing with Project Shadow was sketchy, and even the G.U.N. Commander didn't trust G.U.N.

On top of that the Knuckles Show reveal G.U.N. has been collecting Sonic's and friends quills which they could indeed use to power Metal Sonic.

Second is Jim Carrey comes back for the fourth movie, or Metal Sonic was a failsafe plan he created to activate upon his death.

And due to the multiple Metal Sonics we could get a whole Emperor Metallix situation.

Finally an Agent Stone from the future wanting revenge, as we have seen from the Prequill Comic he is very capable. In addition I think an older Agent Stone with gray hair could dawn the mantle of Eggman as Eggman Nega.

Also, Metal Sonic could become Metal Overlord.

SONIC MOVIE 4 THEORIES AND DISCUSSION

I just want to get my thoughts out somewhere, to anyone. Because I just love yapping and thinking about the cinematic universe of colourful cartoon animals lol.

Spoilers for the 3rd movie if you haven’t already watched it yet!

I’ve been viewing what other people are theorizing for the next movie, it’s really fun. So I thought I’d throw my thoughts out there and if I’m lucky, maybe spark more discussion.

I personally really liked Robotnik’s character arc and death, and agree that it would be disappointing if he revived a second time. But I think there’s a way to make Jim Carrey return without ruining that arc.

The fourth movie might be based on Sonic CD, and if I recall correctly- it had that whole gimmick of travelling to the past and future.

I’m on board with Agent Stone becoming more of a main antagonist in the next movie. So perhaps, in Agent Stone’s grief, he builds Metal Sonic and seeks a way to manipulate time itself so he can go back and save Robotnik. Obviously it will fail in the end and Robotnik would still die or be sent back to the right timeline where he is dead, but it would be a way for Robotnik to return for another movie while keeping the character dead.

And with jumping into the past and altering the future and stuff, this might also allow Silver to join in! I think I saw somewhere that the writers were open to adding him into the cinematic universe.

The fourth movie could be a mash of Sonic 06, Sonic CD, and Sonic Heroes (if they decide to follow Metal Sonic’s character from Heroes). They’ve already established the movies as their own thing, so it’s not too far fetched to believe the next movie will be more original.

The problems that arise in this speculation is that 1) that’s a lot of characters to focus on in one movie, and 2) it’s a pretty complicated plot for one movie + they might not want to deviate so far from the games that it would upset the Sonic fans. Mixing all those games into one might be too confusing and messy.

But even so, it’s also possible the fourth movie sets up a fifth movie and maybe a plot like this could continue in the fifth movie. I dunno though, seems like a stretch.

I’d love to hear what other people think, though!

When Metal Sonic showed up at the end of the Sonic 3 credits, my first immediate thought was that Silver was gonna show up, which sounds strange but that's because I assumed the direction of the next movie was gonna be like The Terminator with Metal as the T-800 and Silver as Kyle Reese.

While on the topic, I'm glad to see the video game accurate design of Metal Sonic, but honestly at this pount I was so expecting to see him designed the same way as Robotnik's other badniks that it feels like kinda a let down. It also makes me theorize that Robotnik (or Agent Stone) didn't make him so it opens up ideas on who did then.

Ok ever since I watched sonic 3, I’ve had this thought stuck in my head. Honestly even before I watched the movie.

So as eggman says, he considers his robot designs fairly unique- only replicable by dear old grandad. This isn’t that significant, and frankly just implies that we’ll have some eggman iteration that made the metal sonic, many people thinking our robotnik lived. But I think whoever made metal sonic has been active for a long time. Evidence?

The knuckles tv show obviously. Now it would be awkward to make the knuckles show a must watch, but it’s not out of the question to do some fore-shadowing. Which brings me to everyones favourite (or least favourite) episode 4.

This scene was overall amazing imo, but I couldn’t get this frame out of my head when I first saw it. Because those are bee robots. Eggman’s beebots. Not just in other media but IN the movies, mind you in the classic colours movie eggman uses.

This is interesting to me for 2 reasons:

this is a flashback. This happened long before knuckles met Eggman, and possibly even before Eggman met sonic.

These robots despite being very similar, are coloured (assuming the puppet model is accurate), and the body shaping is more animal like compared to Robotnik’s, similar to how metal sonic seems to differ from eggman’s usual robot design.

So what does this mean? Basically nothing unless anyone else has a theory to apply this to, but I think it shows that whoever the gang fights in the next movie has been terrorizing sonic, knuckles, tails and Amy’s planet for a long time now, and the events of the previous movies led them to find sonic, and study him, to try and replicate him. And whoever this is is not be the good ole doctor Eggman we’ve known.

New theory

Big Spoilers. HUGE

Since we just touched space with the 3rd movie, what if the 4th has Princess Blaze, ruler of an alien planet, backing the fight against the new big bad. What if Amy and Silver are like freedom fighters? Like, their own little family group.

The Gaurdians of a Galaxy to Team Sonic: Earth's mightiest Heroes.

I've had it in my head for a while that Blaze and Silver would get their own individual movie. And seeing as how Sonic 3 was in every way Shadow's movie, I'm thinking that idea could work even more.

Eggman is gone. All we have is Stone. And with the end credits scene, I hear the idea floating around that the new Eggman can be from another dimension. And who else was from that alternate dimension?

Of course for the movies, it could easily be changed to simply another planet.

Silver and Blaze are best friends, and both of their characters are tied to Amy like Shadow was. Even more so with Blaze and Silver.

Imagine this:

Amy is open and honest, ready to help everyone she meets. Immediately willing to accept help from the newcomers while keeping up moral. Relentless in pounding her enemies with a smile, unbridled enthusiasm for what she does because it's fun. (and the right thing)

Silver is unsure of trusting these new people, but still his optimistic self in search of a better future. Ready to do what he believes is necessary. He's unsure and willing to trust, but just as willing to put you down if it comes to that.

(Also, maybe the inhibitor rings come into play like they did for Shadow)

Blaze is their leader, possibly a seasoned warrior, put in charge, and the most hesitant to engage due to her responsibility and what they're up against. Her best friends are the ones she trusts most in all this, but she still has the weight of their world on her shoulders.

Sonic and Amy have this talent for making friends and softening them up. Yet, Sega has had this weird thing for a while now about not expanding on individual character dynamics.

But that's been changing. I think now we could finally be able to see the Amy key character interactions with Blaze, Silver, and Shadow that we've been missing.

Maybe not Shadow anymore since the movies have Sonic be the one to reach him (in a really incredible way, mind you), but it would be an easy way to integrate Blaze and Silver alongside Amy.

Because, why would she be all alone in this fight? Let her shine in the next movie with her friends behind her.

Sonic Movie Franchise: 2nd Trilogy Predictions

Obviously, spoilers for Sonic 3 inbound. Read at your own risk XD

All righty, everyone out? Good. Now, let's talk predictions! I'm assuming that everyone here has seen the credits scenes of Sonic 3, and I've been cooking up some ideas as to where the plotlines of future movies could go, even without Eggman as the main villain. We can't hold Jim Carrey hostage forever, after all XD

So obviously we're going to get both Amy and Metal Sonic for Sonic 4. The question is, what game plotline will they be adapting, if any at all? Well, here's my theory/pitch for what Sonic 4 could be.

Metal and Amy both debuted in Sonic CD, a game that heavily used time travel in its plot. Given the fact that Metal found Sonic in what seems to be mere days after the Eclipse Cannon crisis, it almost seems to be too fast for him to have just sprung up on his own. We know that Eggman himself was mostly just wallowing in his defeat at the hands of Super Sonic, so why would he have built a mechanical Sonic and not use him at all in 3's events? Furthermore, where did the 'lesser' Metal Sonic drones come from, and how was it that Amy found Sonic mere moments after Metal did?

My theory is that this Metal Sonic was created by some future version of Eggman, potentially from an alternate timeline, and was sent back in time to just after the events of the Eclipse Cannon. And given how experienced Amy seems to be at handling the Metal Horde, it's possible that she hails from this future as well. I mean, I know she's a massive Sonic fangirl, but it's significantly less probable for her to find him in this universe as opposed to someone like Tails.

As for Metal's role in Sonic 4... I personally hope that he ends up being the main villain. He has so much potential to be more than just Eggman's lackey, especially with his story in Sonic Heroes. I theorize that Sonic 4's story could end up being some kind of combination of both CD and Heroes, with Metal aiming to take over Eggman's position of power and copy everyone's abilities, becoming the true ultimate life form. It also seems like they could be taking inspiration from the Metallix from the Fleetway comics, which would also be incredibly cool.

This could also be a 2nd chance to use the missed opportunity that was Neo Metal Sonic, having that be the final form for Metal instead of the Metal Overlord. Although if they wanted to include it, the Metal Overlord/Metallic Madness could be some kind of metallic kaiju that Metal builds himself to fight the heroes while he stays in his Neo form.

And with that out of the way, I hope you're prepared for even wilder speculation regarding the next two movies! XD There was a vague hint about Shadow's origin in Sonic 3 when they mentioned he fell to Earth in a meteor, which looked suspiciously like a miniature Black Comet. I believe that they could be setting up some kind of Black Arms invasion for a more Shadow-centric Sonic 5. The reason I'm pushing this back to a 5th movie is because it would be incredibly difficult to mash both Metal Sonic and the Black Arms into a single Sonic 4. This is also a chance to integrate Rouge and Omega into the story as Shadow's own team, separate from Sonic's.

(Though now that I think about it, if Paramount does opt for a Shadow/Knuckles tv show, that could take its time to focus on a Black Arms storyline instead. However, this is currently in wild unbased speculation territory.)

As for the final movie in the trilogy... I'm honestly not sure. I have two vague ideas as to what the villain could be, as without Eggman as a factor (even with the possibility of an evil future version of him, somewhat similar to Eggman Nega) the options are somewhat limited. My top two picks are either Dark Gaia or Chaos as the final villain, though considering how the movies scale things I think that Chaos could be more likely, as I don't think they'd be quite bold enough to shatter Earth into 7 pieces just like that.

But both of them offer opportunities to explore more alien lore and more things revolving around the Chaos/Master Emerald as well. Another reason I say Chaos is more likely is because while Unleashed has a great story, it's mainly focused on Sonic and Chip as opposed to the more team/family-centric themes that the movies like to focus on. In that vein of thought, the defeat of Chaos with the positive energies of the Emeralds feels more in line with that family dynamic the movies tend to lean towards.

Buuuut those are just my thoughts. What do y'all think?
