Every other episode of Sonic X: This is a relatively lighthearted kids show! The characters are in peril sometimes but mostly everyone is fine! Eggman blasts off team rocket style and every character you think is dead is actually just captured!

Episode 20 of season 3 specifically: Hey, Knuckles punches a bad guy into lava and he screams curses as he claws at the wall all the way down to his demise. There's a big plume of smoke. Also, Shadow and Rouge find a planet where the Metarex have been straight up feeding people to trees, and they watch someone die. I'm sorry-- tone shift? I don't know what you're talking about what's a tone shift?

brought this back to say i saw some amazing art that reminded me of this post so here you go

what if shadow was apart of the frontiers story? what if shadow had to watch as sonic slowly endured a painful cyber corruption? and what if seeing someone so full of life and energy suddenly start wearing down reminds him of a certain person he was supposed to take care of who suffered from a condition that put her into remission?

or is this lost media? I remember it had a Christmas train with the 4kids characters, specifically Sonic x, singing Deck the halls.

I remember one of the lines was about Amy's hammer. Wish I could see that again, it's been stuck in my head for 22 years man.
