How do I even do that?

There are multiple methods for referring to those who use no pronouns, shown below. (Examples here taken from this page, a very good resource.)

Use names or initials instead of pronouns

I talked to him yesterday → I talked to Sky yesterday.

She is really beautiful → Soph is really beautiful.

Her graduation starts soon → J's graduation starts soon.

Passive voice

He answered the phone → The phone was answered.

Wen takes good care of her cat → Wen's cat is well cared for.

Rephrasing the sentence (circumlocution)

Lior did it all by himself → Lior did it all without any help.

Gael talks in his sleep → Gael talks while sleeping.

Replacing a pronoun with a descriptive noun or phrase

She landed the plane safely → The pilot landed the plane safely.

This is Lea, she is into painting → This is Lea. My friend is into painting.

She argues that… → The person who started this discussion argues that…

Dropping pronouns

Did you buy Tex her gift? → Did you buy Tex a gift?

Yes, I bought it for her. I will give it to her tomorrow. → Yes, I bought it. I will give it tomorrow.

Why not just use they/them?

For many people who use no pronouns, the issue with they/them pronouns is the implication of a neutral gender rather than no gender. Nonbinary people have often been lumped into a “third gender” category, and for agender/genderless people, this feels just as restrictive as having to “settle for” a binary gender. They/them pronouns can feel like being forced into another category, especially as the popular perception of people outside the binary has become a monolith, and can be very dysphoria-inducing.

Who can use no pronouns? 

Anyone! Most commonly, this specific way of expressing oneself is used by agender/genderless people, but anyone can use no pronouns if that’s what that person wants. 

Can I include you in group pronouns? (Example: They all went to the beach.)

It’s up to the person whether or not that’s alright, but I’d wager most of us would say that yes, that’s fine! It can’t hurt to ask.

Are second person pronouns alright to use?

Same as above. Most would find it perfectly fine, but if there’s ever doubt, please ask!

Isn’t that transphobic? 

When asked for sincerely, this is not transphobic. Some transphobic people might say they “don’t have pronouns” in order to make fun of trans people. There is a big difference between someone genuinely stating their preferred pronouns (or lack thereof) and being transphobic. 

Are you trolling?/Is this satire?

No, this is not a joke or an attempt at making anyone look bad. If you asked if this is satire, I also urge you to take a look at what satire actually is and it’s history as a form of comedy. Trolling and bait are not satire.

Aren’t you harming the community with this?/This will make transphobes think we're stupid!

I am, by definition, a trans person just trying to be comfortable. I am part of the community. While people inside the community can definitely harm it, expressing myself in a way that makes me most comfortable is not harmful towards anyone. If transphobes think I'm stupid, I can't stop them. They'll think I'm stupid no matter what.

How do I try these out for myself? I think this might be for me!

Começou hoje o @torneio-sexymen-brasil, e as enquetes de grupo só duram 24h. Como eu só saio do trabalho agora resolvi unir todas as minhas bocas de urna em um textão.

Começando forte com o Grupo 1 - Atores de Novela

Já de primeira uma escolha difícil, mas o meu voto teve que ir para o nosso metamorfo Caio Blat

Sem brincadeira, a habilidade desse homem de fazer os papeis mais nichados possíveis é impressionante; e de alguma forma ele consegue ser um gostoso em todos

Vou falar mais de Caminho das Índias e Império que é o que eu sei mais

A gente já começa forte com o fofo do Ravi

Um dos membros menos problemáticos dos Ananda, junto com a Isis Valverde ele nos deu uma história de amor maravilhosa sobre amor entre pessoas de culturas diferentes e o amadurecimento necessário para ter um casamento saudável

Isso tudo abusando de cenas de paixão e sofrimento; sendo para alguns (*cof*eu*cof*) o melhor casal da novela

Mas um sexymen é, por definição, alguém que vive na área cinzenta do espectro moral

Não seja por isso, porque indo na direção completamente oposta de mocinho inocente e apaixonado nós temos José Pedro Medeiros de Mendonça e Albuquerque

O filho de ouro da Dona Maria Marta, começou a novela como um menino mimado que não dá a mínima para a família, se acha merecedor de todo o império dos pais, mas que toda vez que faz uma burrada volta correndo para a mãe para não ter que lidar com as consequências

*spoiler*

Mas no fim da novela é revelado que ele é o misterioso rival Comendador, que diversas vezes tentou matar o próprio pai. Apesar de ele ter perdido o posto de vilão na lembrança popular para o Maurílio (Carmo Dalla Vecchia) ele rende muitas cenas emocionantes durante a trama

Em seguida temos o Fernando, irmão mais novo do Edgar de Lado a Lado; vou confessar que esse é o que eu me lembro menos porque eu focava nas partes da Isabel e do Zé Maria

Um antiheroi de categoria, Fernando passa a perna no próprio pai e irmão como vingança de ter sido destratado a vida toda por ser fruto de um caso do pai com uma ex-escrava. Mas ao mesmo tempo nunca perdeu o carinho pela mãe de criação, que sempre o amou.

Definitivamente um "homem de seu tempo" Fernando participa de várias cenas que destacam cenários de discriminação da época. Mas ele é tão lindo que a gente releva (só que não)

Outras duas novelas que eu queria destacar, mas não acompanhei foram Joia Rara e Liberdade, Liberdade

Em Joia Rara ele foi o monge Sonan, mostrando uma versatilidade a par do Tony Ramos, e mais uma vez protagonizou uma história de amor entre pessoas de culturas diferentes (pontos bônus pelos óculos de ar de intelectual)

E em Liberdade, Liberdade ele vive o André, um gay super elegante que deu azar de nascer no meio da Inconfidência Mineira. Ele é apaixonado pelo amigo o coronel Tolentino, e infelizmente os dois morrem no final. Eu acho que ele merecia ganhar porque se o Tumblr não é o site das gays trágicas eu não sei onde é

Eu sei o que vocês estão pensando, "Por que você gastou 1 hora digitando isso, se Wagner Moura vai ganhar de lavada?"

Primeiro, porque pensamento derrotista é como a democracia morre, é ano de eleição e devemos fazer o nosso dever cívico. Segundo, porque eu gosto de torcer pra que tá perdendo. E terceiro porque eu tô com ranço do Wagner Moura porque enquanto tava o Brasil inteiro babando ovo nele como o Lobo do Gato de Botas, o lindo não se dignou a vir aqui e fazer a dublagem do PRÓPRIO PAÍS e a gente teve que se contentar com o Sérgio Moura (Nada contra, muito pelo contrário).

Gostaria de terminar agradecendo a organização por todo o esforço pra dar para a comunidade Brasileira esse espaço de surto seguro diante ao apocalipse que estamos vivendo 💗💛💚💙

FAROFF RANTING TIME‼️

First of all I want to say I love how Fenn decided to trust Tobi's judgement without questioning, I think it might actually be one of the first times he does that. But seeing Tobi's reaction to it was sad cause (as someone else said in the comments) yeah he looks happy but the fact that it's so surprising to him that someone's just trusting his decisions is honestly so heartbreaking😭😭

Then of course we have Fenn humming the lullaby Tobi sang to him, which, like, DO I EVEN NEED TO SAY ANYTHING??? SONAN SOLDIER HUMMING A VAYLIN LULLABY? AND TRYING TO BE LIKE "WHAT NO I WOULD NEVER DO THAT"?? I can't wait till Tobi's bew radio arrives cause I can already see Fenn trying and failing to pretend he doesn't like music.

And lastly, the ring. TOBI'S FINALLY MAKING A COMMENT ON THE RING! I've seen a lot of people talking about how Tobi might think it's a wedding ring, but I seriously doubt it since wedding rings are tipically worn on the ring finger (it's literally on the name) of the left hand, and Fenn's ring is on the middle finger of his right. I do hope tho that Tobi mentioning the ring will finally make Fenn open up a little about his past. Him at least mentioning his father having passed away might give Tobi a better understanding on why Fenn acts the way he acts, and MAYBE SOME HEALTHY COMMUNICATION ABOUT OUR EMOTIONS WILL FINALLY SAVE US ALL ONE DAY
