So far favourite Faroff moments and character?

My favourite scene(s) are honestly still the card game ones, IT'S A CLASSIC. Honestly, a lot of my favourite moments probably occurred before they started to truly warm up to each other, mostly because a lot of their bickering in the beginning was PURE GOLD. Not that I don't like the new episodes, I love them, they're absolutely fantastic, but something is just so fucking funny about the older episodes-

As for my favourite Faroff character, Fenn, hands down, not even a contest. I know this isn't a popular choice, hell I held a poll once asking that exact question and got crushed so hard by the Tobias fans that my love for this fandom was eternally damaged (/j), but I have my reasons. Doesn't mean I don't like Tobias though!

I made the Faroff bases in the Sims 4 :D

OKOK. im like terrible at sims building (hense why i never do them) but idk.. maybe i did okay with this? lmk.. ALSO i used some cc, but for the most part its base game (that includes packs)

dude i went thru the QnAs of lennon rook (the creator) going through the maps of each house and the map of the layouts in general, plus going back through a few comic strips to find specific colours n such

OH another thing I'm looking forward to in the new episode is when Tobias receives his new radio!!!! Sun's fanart of them dancing is about to become canon (actually though Fenn having some real experience with music & maybe even learning to somewhat accept radios as a whole could be a great opportunity for character development, perhaps he'll even hear some ✨incriminating✨ news reports considering it's been implied they aren't allowed to consume media from outside Sona)

i like the subtle complexity you can find in faroff’s characters, even when their main traits are apparent

i wanted to do some fancy painterly-style work, and figured i’d draw something with these two since i really like the comparison and contrasting they have going on

faroff’s setup is something i appreciate in its ability to balance realism and absurdity. it’s an unusual story about two enemies that find solace and love in the midst of a war, but it’s also about the path of change, perspective, and the individual(s) vs the world. i’d really like to see what more it has in store narrative-wise

LONG overdue talking about the new episode so-

I thought for a long time that the war was illegitimate and being used as an excuse to impose perpetual martial law on their people and give the government more power to make totalitarian laws, especially because of THIS epic one liner:

It seems it's almost exactly the opposite. They aren't fighting the war to impose totalitarian laws, they're imposing totalitarian laws to fight the war.

Even more so looking at this:

Look how the laws all seemed centered around basically making your life a hellhole unless you join the armed forces. Joining the armed forces raises your social status to four. Notice how the ranks below it are... Well, you're social status 3? Just below it right, can't be that bad- nope you can't own land. You're social status 1? You HAVE to work seven days a week.

(I'm definitely going to keep track of all this social status stuff too. Maybe make a tier list)

Other than that, my theories on Sona and Vaylin were more or less correct. I always felt Vaylin tried to be more "subtle" about it and maybe reserved its powers to oppress certain groups that might resist (in this case the lower class) while Sona was much more blatant about it and just skipped the whole "we have to get them to comply" by brainwashing the hell out of everyone into believing the war is some great thing that is an honour to fight in...

Anyway I'm officially clueless about the realities of the war now! Trying to figure out how Tobi's epic one liner will factor into everything without the war being illegitimate--

something i’ve been curious about is the attachment that tobi has to vaylin, his family, and society throughout the war. we know he’s not a big fan of the upper class, and definitely not a big fan of vaylin’s government, but i wonder if he feels shame for being attached to the fact he was born there

i think wayyy more about faroff than i should, i’ve reread it too many times for me to be normal about it
