Major Plotpoints So Far:
Scourge "rescues" Infinite from a base built by Eggman Nega with the intention of using him to defeat Sonic, but Infinite quickly asserts his dominance over the situation; Scourge and Infinite agree to an alliance of sorts, but that eventually turns into a mutual familial bond, and they basically adopt each other as father and son figures
Meta (Metal Sonic given a Mobian hedgehog body by Dr. Eggman) discovers Scourge and Infinite and proceeds to be very antagonistic until they are shown kindness and hospitality; Scourge and Meta butt heads at first because Scourge is afraid Meta will replace him in his relationship with Infinite, but Infinite reassures Scourge that this won't happen, and Scourge learns to eventually see Meta as a younger sibling; Scourge, Meta, and Infinite proceed to move into Infinite's old abandoned family home
Scourge accidentally releases Mephiles from his prison after snatching the artifact he was trapped in that was pulled through time thanks to one of Eggman's machines; Mephiles uses Scourge's shadow to take his form, but due to the circumstances of him being out of his own timeline his form is unstable and he must remain close to Scourge in order to tether himself to the timeline; Meta takes interest in Mephiles from a scientific standpoint and decides to study him while Mephiles proceeds to quite dramatically be a nuisance in the three's lives, especially Infinite's; Mephiles eventually takes Infinite's form to mock him but in doing so he becomes weakened, which prompts Meta to suggest he be given his own mortal body as well; Mephiles is given a body and leaves for a short period of time before returning and properly integrating himself into the family because of his attachment to Meta (and Meta's to him); Mephiles and Infinite discover they have feelings for each other despite everything
Flatline pulls Iblis from Mephiles' timeline into theirs and gives her a mortal Mobian hedgehog form like Mephiles' in order to distract Mephiles enough to where he can get at Infinite's Phantom Ruby, except he botched the process and made her body unstable; Mephiles ruins Flatline's plans by rejecting Iblis in the moment in order to save his current family, but he quickly returns to reassure her that he isn't going anywhere and invites her to join them instead; Iblis agrees because of her love for Mephiles, and Flatline is forced to stay with them as well to work with Meta to stabilize Iblis' body; Flatline eventually grows fond of the family despite his initial ulterior motives, and he decides to stay for real even after Iblis is stabilized; Infinite, Mephiles, and Iblis become a triad after Mephiles reassures Infinite that his feelings for him have not changed even with Iblis in the picture now; Mephiles and Iblis discover they can still fuse into Solaris, just in hedgehog form, and they can also unfuse at will
Flatline discovers Julius (Scourge's late father) was revived similarly to how he was revived--wild chaos energy--and pulled across space into their world; Julius stays with the family but everyone kind of hates his guts because they know about how he used to treat Scourge and why Scourge took his life; eventually Scourge confronts Julius and tells him the full and honest truth about how he feels and has always felt, which finally puts things into perspective for Julius; Julius and Scourge slowly but surely begin to mend their relationship
Sonic runs into Scourge one day and discovers Infinite is back, but upon seeing how neither of them care to get into it with him, he becomes curious and decides to talk to Scourge one-on-one for a while, slowly discovering how much Scourge has changed thanks to his living situation; Sonic and Scourge eventually develop feelings for each other, but Sonic makes a point to make sure Scourge knows Shadow will be involved as well, which ends up not being a huge issue for neither Scourge nor Shadow, and the three of them also become a triad
Scourge, Sonic, and Shadow accidentally create a baby when a giant explosion of their combined chaos energy happens during a high-speed race; they name the child Bangarang (or Bang for short) and proceed to raise them together, with Bang staying at Scourge's place for the majority of the time as Sonic and Shadow don't really have a solid housing situation; Mephiles sees Bang and suggests to Infinite that they have a similar child, and when he agrees, they combine their essences using the Phantom Ruby and Mephiles' god powers to create a jackalhog named Moon; Moon and Bang grow up alongside each other, and Moon eventually renames himself to Vacío to honor Infinite; Bang slowly discovers his Doom powers as they part Black Arms like Shadow, and while they have an easy time wrangling those, Vacío struggles with his Phantom Ruby abilities that he inherited from Infinite
Eggman revives Black Doom by giving him a Mobian hedgehog body like he did with Meta, with the intention of using him against Sonic and Shadow; Black Doom only complies with the intention of getting revenge on Shadow and possibly forcing him over to his side finally; Black Doom manages to shake up Scourge's family by subtly and slowly manipulating Scourge, and eventually this leads to Black Doom full-on controlling Scourge's mind; Sonic, Shadow, and the rest of Scourge's family are able to break him free from Black Doom's control in the end
--
Possible Future Plotpoints:
Mephiles and Iblis have a child, as well as Infinite and the collective Solaris
Some kind of family thing with Black Doom and Shadow (I can't help myself lol. we ball)
--
Extra Important Tidbits:
Meta uses they/them pronouns at first, but later realizes she feels happiest when referred to in a feminine way
The entire family hates that Scourge is dating Sonic and Shadow, but they begrudgingly support him because their love for him is stronger than their hatred for Sonic and Shadow
Mephiles and Iblis remember Sonic and Shadow, and Sonic remembers them, but nobody else remembers them as they are from an erased timeline
Iblis is indifferent towards Sonic and Shadow, whereas Mephiles heavily dislikes them both
Infinite is closer to Mephiles than he is with Iblis, but the three of them are still a very solid and healthy polyamorous relationship
The AU takes place a while into the future; Scourge is 23 at the start of the AU, Meta is 22, and Infinite is 37
--
That's all I have for now! I have a fic version slowly being written as well as a potential comic version (hopefully). This is an ongoing, still-developing AU that just keeps growing, so things may be changed/added/removed as time goes on! :) I hope you stick around to see what unfolds! <3

Chapter 153: Backstories galore...
IBLIS
She gave us quite the monologue. She talks about her obsession with beauty, perfection and the fear of growing old. Sounds like Hachiro, no? She takes us back in time to a classical Mayan civilization with temples like Chichen Itza.
Tumblr media
She uses seduction to kill men, uses humans. For kicks in her human body she eventually conceives a child. What I find interesting, she appears to love the boy. They have good times by the looks of the imagery. But when the child gets old she is forced to kill him. Ibis acts like it doesn't effect her at all, but I don't believe it. Demons blow off their emotions, but maybe she killed him out of empathy for his pain? We honestly don't know the details.
Tumblr media
She said he killed him because he was weak but I think it's a lie. I think she's sided with Lucifer to end all humans because she never got over the hurt of loving a human son and losing him. This is her way of avoiding the deep emotional pain of bonding with creatures that do not have an eternal life.
We do know that Iblis also has a fixation on Egyn. The little boy demon the never grows old, that sounds like baggage to me. He's like a surrogate son. Demons fear growing old and being in pain. But they also fear loss, and the loneliness of an eternal life.
It also begs the question, did Iblis have the kid naturally? She doesn't look pregnant in any of the images. The mystery of demon child conception continues...
Demons and Liu are afraid of senior citizens.
Iblis hates Lucy because she's old and wise, she's terrified of people growing old and terrified of the old. Lucy rattles her.
Tumblr media
Liu is also rattled by Lucy. We get a flashback of his life and Lucy has been holding the seat of power from his family. They said she stole all the power and magical secrets from their clan, but I doubt that. I bet this was like the Shima family when the demon Yamataka unexpectantly chose Shima....demons have unique preferences of whom they choose to be in a contract with.
Tumblr media
When you see the way the Liu clan was run, it's training was based on draconian demon hatred. Sort of the same mentality as young Shiro had. He didn't collaborate with demons and instead sought to destroy every, single one. It's sad really. The only friend Shiro had, and the only reason why Shiro lived into adulthood was because of Mephisto's help. Shiro relied on a demon.
Tumblr media
The strongest exorcists get their power and assistance from a collaboration with demons. True intelligence is finding not just violent ways to vanquish the enemy but to see how the enemy ticks. To see if violence isn't always the answer. Demons, like humans are shaped by their experiences and bad experiences warp their worldview. Demons are such powerful creatures that act out their angst. Unfortunately humans tend to be the victims of that retaliation.
When Lucy finally dies (again), she jokes that Liu is too scared to take her place. And he is highly offended by this. Ibis might be afraid of Lucy, but Liu doesn't want to be lumped in with demons.
But he is scared.
Lucy is right.
She also gives him a bit of parting advice.
Even demons have dreams.
They are not as different from humans as we think they are.
Tumblr media
This is all the arc knights. Lightning and Lucy openly acknowledge the importance of understanding demons, Angel is still in denial, but it's the truth.
We all know from the manga that collaboration with demons seems to be a better option for a strong exorcist. The strongest exorcists do not see demon relationships as black and white, but more like situationships with a variety of subtexts.
Once Lucy dies, Liu doesn't believe anything she's said and charges into battle to destroy the torch. It looks like he was successful, but we will need to wait until the next chapter to find out. I bet there is a surprise waiting for him that he didn't consider.

Iblis' child and motherhood
So... With that new chapter, we learnt something I was honestly not expecting AT ALL. Iblis, King of Fire, a fierce opponent of humankind, who had also been expressing a strong dislike for Nephilim... had conceived a child herself ?!
Tumblr media
That raise a lot of thoughts in my head, hence this tumblr post ^^. I was really not that expecting that "backstory" for this character for several reasons.
She hates humans.
I thought that before Satan, the Grigori were the only royal demons with hybrid descendants (meaning that Azazel was the only Ba'al who had fathered Nephilim).
Before this chapter, Iblis was little more than a powerful opponent but was hardly a real character.
... How did she have him ???
Not in the sense "How do you make a baby ?" ^^', rather in the sense : "How/why did a demon like herself go through all the trouble to conceive, carry, birth and raise him ?"
"For fun." This is the explaination we got from her, and it perplexes me a bit. I don't have the experience of pregnancy, but from what I got from others, even if can be a very happy moment in the best case, it is certainly not "fun". For demons like Satan and Azazel, who are possessing male bodies, I can imagine the conception can be qualified of just "fun". The difference is, Iblis is in a female body, she is the MOTHER, not the father : she had to do all the hard work. Nine months of pregnancy, hormonal imbalance, body alterations and most of all, a very painful CHILDBIRTH. And after, you have still years of child rearing ahead (unless you have someone else do it for you, but it looks like she did her part in raising him. And she must have done at least some things correctly because he looks pretty attached to her).
Tumblr media
It seems a bit contradictory with the characterisation of the demons, and more particularly the Demon Kings. They are hedonists, careless, selfish and easily bored, who go after materialistic pleasure and whose number 1 priority is to avoid pain. All of them (as far as we know, given that we never met the original Grigori who side with humankind) see themselves as above humans. Iblis especially wants to remain beautiful, young and perfect. So, why did she accept all the troubles to get that kid ?
Did she even love him, in her own way ? She liked raising him, yet she killed him when he dared to grow old and weak like any human. She similarly hates all other Nephilim, yet I can't help but thinking the way she acts around Egyn has something to do with her lost motherhood and long-dead son. And Lucy herself shows sympathy for the loss of her child, as if she thought this was a source of pain for Iblis.
Are demons unable to love, as Mephisto suggested, or is there something more ? A psychological defense mechanism ?
Well she is "dead" now, so we might never know more, unfortunately.
PS: Do we have to expect more Nephilim reveal ???

Dadphiles!Mephiles Sheet
And with that, I've completed all four of 'em!
This one definitely took the longest. I was originally content with re-using my Mobian Mephiles design, but as I developed the story more, I realized I wanted something more personal. I'm super proud of how this came out.
This is technically "spoilers" since this is toward the end (Post-Forces), but I wanted a design that reflected Mephiles/Solaris' change. And I'm too eager.
This post will be updated as time goes on. New additions will be marked as (✨New!✨).
-> Dadphiles AU Masterpost
-/-/-/-/-
🔹When Mephiles recombined with Iblis the second time, Solaris regained empathy. His memories of his time with SSS suddenly weighed heavily on the god, but the destruction of time had already begun and Solaris still was not at full power. So, with the help of the Chaos Emeralds, Solaris sacrifices himself to fix his mistakes and ensure the safety of his sons.
🔹Following the events of Sonic Forces, Solaris is re-awoken... but still very weak. As he regains power, he avoids his sons, believing they do not wish to see him. They prove him wrong.
🔹With a second chance at being their father, Solaris assumes the body of a hedgehog—meticulously designed to reflect each of his sons—and simply becomes "Mephiles the Hedgehog". As a mortal, he is much more vulnerable and limited in his power, even if he were to fully recover from his self-sacrifice. Mephiles is willing to risk such a thing for his sons' happiness and trust.
🔹As Mephiles was taken advantage of the last time he assumed a mortal form (ie. The Flame of Solaris), Mephiles is hesitant to let any others know of his identity, even the ones his children claim are trustworthy friends. Therefore, only those who were in Soleanna know the truth... for now.
🔹Mephiles is introduced to the rest of his sons' friends as their dad who raised them, but disappeared when they were kids. Mephiles admits that it was not a good decision, but explains that he was "injured" and "unable to protect them without risking their futures."
🔹Vector and Espio are the only ones suspicious of this random hedgehog that appeared out of the blue, not long after the War, looking perfectly like all three hedgehogs. Hedgehogs that they know aren't blood-related and who were separated by literal decades. However, since no one else seems to be suspicious, the Chaotix believe everyone else might be brainwashed somehow.
🔹Mephiles realizes their suspicions, but doesn't correct them. Both because he does not trust their intentions yet... and that it also amuses him.
🔹The SSS introduce Tails as their brother and Mephiles immediately accepts him and requests to take on the Prower name just as his sons have. Tails, who was worried about disapproval from his brothers' dad, may or may not have broken down in tears at the easy acceptance.
🔹Vanilla, happy to meet another parent of this rambunctious group, often enjoys sharing stories with Mephiles. Mephiles suddenly has to learn how normal mortal parents raise their children, all to continue his charade. Through her, he slowly learns what it means to truly embrace Parenthood.
🔹Vector is jealous of how friendly the hedgehog has gotten with Vanilla. Once again, Mephiles is amused.
🔹Mephiles enjoys messing with Vector, mostly by "coincidentally" appearing whenever he tries talking to SSS, gifting Vanilla different things, and saying some rather suspicious words. This, of course, makes Vector more paranoid.
🔹Despite looking like a normal hedgehog, Mephiles is composed of pure energy and therefore does not need mortal requirements. He can feign eating but it does nothing for him. He appreciates the flavor, however.
🔹As an entity of time, Mephiles is used to viewing all of time at once. As a mortal, that viewing window is smaller, but still means that sometimes Mephiles will use the wrong slang, terms, and translations or even reference something that does not exist yet or no longer exists.
🔹Mephiles is utterly focused on making the most out of this second chance and is willing to go to great lengths to protect all of his children... Even if it means using methods they may not approve of.
🔹Mephiles is the one who enabled Silver to remain in the past. He also later—by request—makes it so Shadow will age alongside his friends.
🔹Mephiles can communicate with the Master Emerald (and the Chaos Emeralds), often expressing his confusion over various mortal concepts. The Master Emerald finds his bafflement amusing, to his chagrin.
[There will be no romance as Mephiles/Solaris is completely focused on his relationships with his sons.]

Sonic Old Man Yaoi/Old Woman Yuri Knockout
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
TWO pairings with the LEAST votes will be eliminated
Intros to each pairing below
Gerald Robotnik was Eggman's grandfather, introduced in Sonic Adventure 2. He made a false deal with Black Doom to create Shadow the Hedgehog in exchange for the Chaos Emeralds, making them both Shadow's dads. They definitely banged and had some kind of toxic mess of a relationship.
Grimer Wormtongue is a nasty little assistant to Ivo Robotnik in Fleetway Sonic the Comic. He is extremely devoted to his cruel master, which is for sure a sexual thing.
Ebony the Mystic Mog and Pyjamas the Psychic are two characters from Sonic the Comic who appear briefly in a Knuckles story, then become minor recurring characters that take in Super Sonic from the streets. They appear as old friends in their introduction and are implied to live together. If these two aren't married, it's only because Mobius is homophobic.
Blockhead Bill is Mighty's dad in Sonic the Comic. He is a very confused old man who convinces his posh "business associate" Society Max to assist him in taking down his nemesis the Crimson Cobra. This involves Max eating a magic mandrake root and becoming a giant dinosaur, which Bill rides around to cause destruction. idk about you but I'd only let someone do that to me if they were my funny little lover.
Mephiles the Dark and Iblis are two halves of the sun/time god Solaris, introduced in Sonic '06. Iblis is kind of just a big fire monster I think but Mephiles orchestrates this whole plot through the course of the game to re-merge with Iblis and form Solaris. Which sounds like some pretty twisted villainous gay devotion to me.
Ixis Naugus and Ian St. John are characters from the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comics. Naugus is some kind of evil wizard who enlists the help of Geoffrey St. John, Ian's son, with plot things. I can't decipher Archie plots sorry. When Naugus first contacts Geoffrey, he expects him to be his father Ian. From @mischeva: "why are you wanting to talk to geoffrey’s dad? hm naugus? kinda….kinda interesting." Image also provided by mischeva, ty :)
Starline and Eggman were allowed in by popular vote, mostly by Eggman's qualifying age. Dr. Starline is a character from the IDW Sonic the Hedgehog comic. He is a fanboy and devotee of Eggman, restoring Eggman's lost memories and assisting him in his Metal Virus plot. Starline eventually plots to betray Eggman, as he believes himself smarter and more genre-savvy than his idol. He is of course wrong and Eggman beats the shit out of him and kills him to death. Starline is sort of like gen z's Grimer, kind of the tumblr sexyman dark academia Grimer, in that he's younger and prettier than Grimer, but he probably still wants to fuck that old man so bad.

Screaming Trash Bird
Author’s note: So… this is a silly random thing, after watching a few videos of unlikely wildlife and children interactions that are super cute and wholesome.
Summary: There are fragments of holo-videos of a motherly baseline human talking about interactions of her son, a blond haired, blue eyed child, and a scarlet Iblis.
Warnings: Fluff! Let me know if I need to add anything else.

A bright red colored bird flies- and the person behind the camera follows the bird as it flies around the sky and, the historitor is surprised to see only one, usually they flock in massive groups of birds. For numbers are their greatest strength.
The shadow of the bird is too large.
He rubs his face and coughs a little as he continues to watch the video and sees a slightly older Robu calling out to the bird, which calls out back to him.
The bird's voice sounds far too human to be natural.
The creature, for as wild an animal as it should be, bold as brass comes over and lands next to Robu who watches the bird carefully before walking closer to approach it.
Don't approach it child!
One of the things the historitor notices, not that he can see the whole bird is that one of its eyes are are missing- and he sees that it survived being attacked by something. For some reason, a glitch in the video perhaps? But it had almost looked multi-colored and almost impossibly massive in size.

Jinn king Al-Mudhib, the golden one
Tumblr media
Jinn are supernatural beings hidden from human senses and perception. Once being a dominant force across much of the old world, now only being sequestered to the abandoned and desolate places of the desert, much of their history is mired in mystery and regularly disputed amongst scholars, with a multitude of types and classifications, with generally blurred lines between them. One thing that is agreed upon is that the relations with Jinn are highly varied, neither inherently bad nor good; some may have been helpful, being friendly and positive connections with humans, sharing wonderful mystic wisdom, while others can be deceitful shape shifters, which can possess people's bodies, driving them to madness. Amongst them are powerful kings and rulers, one of whom is Al-Mudhib, son of Iblis, a resplendent ruler of sun, fire, and precious metals with a penchant for devouring serpents, and hundreds of tribes under his thrall. offering unrivaled secrets of occult knowledge and esoteric magics, being able to educate in the transmutations of gold, and sharing astrological knowledge of the stars. This mighty lord is closely Surveilled by the angel Ruqiayil (Raphael) and was alive during the prodigious times of King Solomon.

About diamond castle au: Why Apollo did not intervene when Mephiles was taking control of everything? Was he not aware of what happened with the other muses and Silver? Also, how Maria stayed in this situation?
Shadow and Sonic were turned into stones like in the barbie movie?
I am 90% sure, but just to confirm: is Sonic a trans guy in this au? 👁👁
Im gonna answer these questions in reverse so:
1. Yes! Sonic is transmasc in this au and all my other au’s and Shadow is agender but usually goes with he/him pronouns
2. Yes Sonic and Shadow are turned to stone just like in the movie. Usually their joined harmony would be enough to protect them from something like this but cuz of the divorceTM and their fighting (not like the usual kind of fighting they do) they’re not in harmony anymore so they get petrified (all according to Mephiles’s plans). But unlike in the movie Silver does not know this and neither does anyone else besides Mephiles and Iblis
3. During Mephiles’s takeover, after they hid the castle, Shadow and Sonic told all the attendants, including Maria, to flee to prevent capture. But over the many millennia since that happened Mephiles captured them all and turned them all into hypnotised slaves to attend him and only him, including Maria
4. This one is gonna be a doozy cuz there’s quite a bit
The reason why Apollo didn’t intervene with Mephiles’s takeover was cuz he was under the assumption that it was a justified and necessary move in order to save the arts
Ya see it all comes back to the fighting and subsequent divorce between Sonic and Shadow.
It was intense to put it lightly and it seemed basically endless to all the other onlookers, their feud was even infamous amongst mortals and was generally giving the muses a bad reputation cuz of how chaotic these fights can be in the godly and mortal realm, and after hundreds of years mortals could hardly remember a time where they weren’t like this, it was just the norm
(In fact not even Sonic and Shadow could remember how their usual rivalry became this endless bitter fued, all they really know is that the other started it. I’ll probs touch upon this more in its own post but it was actually Mephiles’s fault all along)
The fact that Apollo chose them as his muses kinda made their behaviour reflect badly on him despite them being pretty good at their jobs. Mephiles, being all manipulative, kinda put it in his head that mortals with their ‘fickle feelings’ and ‘simple outlooks on life’ just weren’t really suited to the duties of a god so it was ‘getting to them’
That if they, hypothetically, retired it would probably be best for everyone involved.
So when Sonic, Shadow and their son just disappeared one day along with the castle Mephiles explained that they had lashed out against him and hidden the castle from him and that he had ‘taken care of them’ Apollo didn’t bat an eye. It was sad but if it was necessary then it had to be done, he didn’t actually know about what became of the other two muses but they were out of the way and that’s what matters
From then on Mephiles was the only muse people worshipped and prayed to for all the arts, generations upon generations knowing the tale of how Lord Mephiles bravely defeated the other two muses and saved the arts from their on-going war
Effectively rewriting history and becoming the only muse while the Sonic and Shadow and the truth of what they were actually like, and the fact that they were even married at all was forgotten. They were just minor players in Mephiles’s story, the one-note antagonists who never stopped fighting
Just like Mephiles wanted

Honourable Mentions:
Gru + Minions, Vector (Despicable Me), Megamind (when he was villainous), Doctor Nefarious, Gyro Gearloose and Technical Boy would consider arson too lowbrow. In their tech-savvy minds, shrink rays, piranha guns, dehydration guns, atomisation, robot and clone armies and breaking every bone in the person's body all send the correct message.
"Why settle for a house?" wonders most iterations of the Doctor (Doctor Who). "Why not drop them on some desolate planet or in some hostile universe where they die over and over again?" Bill Cipher seconds this notion.
Jack Frost (Rise of the Guardians) would freeze the doors and ice the floors and windows, effectively creating a giant icebox as fires cannot stay burning in his presence.
Dark Helmet, Kylo Ren, Armitage Hux and Darth Vader would vaporise the person's house (and planet to boot) from space. If the person was off-world at the time, those who are Force or Schwartz users will proceed to Force-choke or laser the person even after they have lost everything.
Scar (The Lion King) would arrange an accident that is tragically and unavoidably fatal while Shenzi, Banzai and Ed would maul the person in full view of a crowd.
Gaz Membrane is constantly rude to anyone who dares to be her obsession, but if anyone else tries the same rudeness, they will pay. Zim and the two main Tallest also have shades of this.
Albert Wesker (Resident Evil 5 era): Look, another test subject for Uroboros has presented itself.
Urdnot Wrex, Grunt (Mass Effect 2) and Wolverine are not the burn-your-house-down types. It would be too easy for the person to learn nothing from the experience, such as how much they should be afraid of running their mouth to the wrong stranger in the future. These three will knock the person out before they even finish the sentence.
Yzma has exactly the right potion for this human flea, except that she adds an extra four or so steps to the plan.
Lord Hater invades the scoundrel's home planet with the support of Commander Peepers and his army of Watchdogs, or he may blast the world to smithereens with a laser.
Lord Dominator delights in crushing this pest's home world with her drill and making them watch every life on it come to an end.
Marvin the Martian said it best: "Be polite, or I'll vaporise you."

Scourge and Infinite have a fear of Ghosts, and for very different, but real reasons.
Scourge has nightmares about the ghosts of his parents- his biological parents- that he has personally offed. He has them constantly. He also has nightmares about everyone else he's killed before he and Infinite became a family.
As for Infinite, it's nightmares about his comrades in arms, blaming himself for their deaths constantly. Blaming himself for not being stronger, for not being faster, for just about everything that led up to their deaths, even though it wasn't his fault.
Meanwhile Mephilis and Iblis will casually beat the everloving shit out of a Ghost like a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure beatdown for doing so much as disturbing their beauty sleep, let alone causing their son/hubby emotional trauma. They will give a Ghost trauma for dredging up their family's.
beat up the ghosts..
genuinely this family is so full of trauma its unreal

I don't think shadow is silvers dad, since we know silver is from 200 years to the future that would mean that 186 years to the future shadow would have silver. But we know that shadow is not in the future so that would mean that shadow is not the father. Is either a random character or a future relative of shadow.
Shadow can indeed live 200 years into the future due to being ageless as the Ultimate Lifeform. In the Iblis timeline of Sonic 06, Shadow was sealed away by humanity due to being blamed for the Day of Disaster but his fate is unknown in most subsequent timelines. Silver re-encounters Shadow for the first time in Sonic Rivals which indicates that Silver had not met Shadow in the future by then and has not indicated that he’s met Shadow in the future since. (Silver is also specifically from 200+ years into the future, not 200 exactly)
“Dadow” remains one of the most popular theories and headcanons in the series due Shadow and Silver being based on Dragon Ball characters(Vegeta and Trunks respectively) that were father and son as well as their counterparts in Sonic and the Black Knight (Lancelot and Galahad), also being father and son in Arthurian lore.

These connections combined with the similarities in their powers have for years caused speculation that Silver is descended from Shadow, but when asked if Silver was a descendant of Shadow, Takashi Iizuka plain and simply said “No”.
