(rewatching jimmy’s evo series, and i am absolutely not normal about his episode 72 (in which martyn tries to leave the server))

a lot of hermits (and hermit adjacents) have weird sleeping habits. it’s something they’ve learned to accept about each other, and learned to accommodate. most of them are pretty cute.

jimmy’s is that he always falls asleep in the most inconvenient places. in the middle of the hall, right in the doorway or in front of doors that swing in, on top of chests and shulkers with important things in them. if they didn’t know better, they’d think he does it on purpose, so that they’ll have to wake him up.

it’s inconvenient, but it’s kind of cute when he’s curled up in the worst places. they’ve grown to love this habit of his. one day, they’ll all figure out how to avoid waking him up, like martyn can after years of practice.

(he does, in fact, do it on purpose. if he sleeps in those inconvenient places, then they have to wake him up. they can’t leave- not without telling him. not without saying goodbye.

it’s shame that the one person he’s most afraid will leave, is the only one who’s learned to avoid waking him up)

Maybe there's something markedly special in how the hermits, if they find Jimmy sleeping somewhere uncomfortable, are more likely to pick him up and bring him with them. Jimmy has spent so long afraid of people leaving, he never really... Considered people bringing him with them.

It's still not Martyn, but that man has his own issues to work through. Jimmy will have to start his healing journey alone, and hope Martyn meets him on the way.

(Jimmy portrayed as Eurasier, a breed that requires lots of love and affection and gets easily depressed when holed up in one space, and is a relative of a dog bred specifically to give people warmth. Martyn is a Jack Russell Terrier, a breed that is often stubborn, mischievous and difficult to train)
