my hope for the pokemon presents that i know will not happen is gates to infinity remake ok bye
#listen i knowwwwwwww explorers is more popular and its got more fans and itd sell well and itd be good to see it in the spotlight#i agree with all that it makes sense. but i cant help but view it as a bowsers inside story remake scenario#where its just like. kinda pointless bc the original is functionally fine#meanwhile my soul hurts when i think about how gti was kinda screwed over by its development and time#it came out during that time all 3ds games felt really janky to play so it feels awkward#and like. just compare the environments in gti compared to psmd#psmd doessss have more diverse environments to be fair but environments that should feel more grand just feel off in gti#like glacier palace doesnt look AWFUL but it hurts to see it compared to the animated version from the commercials#and like. imagine the glow up if it got the dx treatment. if the environments were all fixed and the job system was updated#and we got a larger starter pool and maybe even a postgame. ik they didnt add much to pmd dx#but that game had a fairly beefy postgame and all that while gti has.... pretty much nothing besides dlc#anyways it wont happen bc gti is the most hated pmd game by a fairly wide margin and itd piss ppl off and itd probably get a bullshit $60#price tag#but like. i want it. i want it ok. i want to see them fix gti and bring out its full potential. i love its story sm#ik theres the demake but theyre also changing the pokemon choices there (which ik they cant help. repository doesnt have timburr and gurdur#but still) so i kinda wanna wait to see when thats done or its got all the assets

Before the month started, I had made my own tierlist of projects and announcements that are/will be shown during the special FNAF anniversary week based on how excited I was/am for them. The highest ones are the ones I'm most interested in and the lowest ones are the ones I'm…not.
I did this at the end of July, and only now did I remember to post it here.
The week is going well, but it's this second half that will be more interesting.

#crookedsmile open his mouth#crookedsmile open his mouth;fnaf#MyPopgoes seems; okay#like; it's alright; the secrets are interesting#but there's not much to say; it's a bit boring I would say#TJOC seems cool!#I don't remember caring much about the original; but the remake seems good!#I still have to watch the end of the demo though#I already have VIP; I just have to read it; maybe I'll read a route today#I'm still going to watch the interview with Scott#I wasn't very interested in it at first#and I had no intention of watching it (I didn't want to hear what he had to say either)#but with some of the things I heard today; maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to spend 1 hour on it#I'm liking the previews for the second movie!#The guys at Jim Henson are doing a great job making the Toys#looking foward to see what else will be teased this week for this#The collab and Steel Wool announcements are in a middle ground where#depending on what is announced I'll be more excited#but at the end of the day the Steel Wool one interests me more#I think I can have a better vision of what could possibly be announced by them; unlike the mysterious collab#(I also still have faith that the collab is with Fortnite; let me DREAM-)#FLAF looks intriguing; I want to check out the demo to get a better idea of the game however#and of course; Into the Pit is the main course; so this project is the one I want to see more#but yeah; like I said; the week is going well! but it's really in this second part where things are going to get more interesting#(also Dawko posted the first episode of FNAF Unsolved and I still have to watch it)#(it's not part of the official anniversary lineup but I still like to consider it here since it was posted this week)

The Hustle™#I understand why people gravitate toward stickers and pins and charms and zines and such#I've been mildly successful with commissions in the past but right now I'm really in the headspace of like#I can NOT be giving that much time to other people just for the added income. I'll never finish a single personal project that way :/#I would much rather dedicate a chunk of time to designing something and making it available#and just letting people have it whenever they want. and maybe the most ongoing work I need to do is weekly post office trips :|#I am serious about re-launching my enamel pins next year but I have to remake all the templates 😭#bc the original AI files are all on my old nearly-dead imac...#but also stickers. low manufacture cost low resale so maybe they move faster?#also toying with the idea of selling some of my cross stitch patterns 🤔 NOT the pomegranates.#that's probably not gonna have super wide appeal but like. I made them for myself anyway might as well let other people have em for a few $#all this because my dad may not be able to help me cover therapy costs next year :||| so that extra $500 a month has to come from SOMEWHERE#I hate capitalism I hate having to exist!! exhausting!!!!!!

im watching atla with my grandma and it is very much up her alley which is very cute. i think her favorite part is whenever momo does something funny because she smiles the most.
#i did have the passing thought#that maybe the show depicting chinese-inspired villages being invaded by a japanese-inspired army might be. not the greatest choice for us.#but honestly it wouldnt bother her shes a veeeeeeery tough and easygoing person#it did make me upset again at the remake though#because the original show feels like everyone else matters too#they meet so many refugees on the run and towns that are occupied and villages being menaced#the war isnt just a good backdrop for cool fights between the heroes and villains. its a blight on the lives of everyone who lives in this#world.#and the remake seems to be very much “everyone not in the main cast is an npc” (see: watching the genocide of the air nomads happen in the#first twenty minutes of the first episode)#and that feels. personal now.#bc my grandma hid from japanese soldiers. my great grandma risked her life transporting materials for explosives so she#could feed her family#they are people with personhood and individuality who didnt fight in wwii but their stories still matter#and atla feels like its validating that because it says that war affects everyone and the people who suffer from it the most are the ones#who need to have their voices heard#not just the people with the biggest capacity to cause change#so the remake throwing that away just to have more cool action scenes. leaves a bad taste in my mouth.#atla#atla remake salt#atla live action salt#atla salt

Force the player to research the cursed stone after#some maybe 6 to 8 heart equivalent where she has a bad episode that results in some collapse and Raguna running to someone to help#A heart-wrenching look back at the clinic before promising to find answers#And maybe she can't work/be talked to UNTIL you solve it#I might have a whole set of notes dedicated to that idea#Anyway I am tired I wake up at 2am for work and I've been on cold/flu meds for days- my poor brain#BUT ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT#Raguna/Felicity#RagunaxFelicity#I'll fill these tags if I die trying

i have so many thoughts about the little mermaid (2023) and it's like. oh my god who cares.
#like who gives a shit it's a nostalgia bait evil corporation remake but also that's part of my thoughts about it#btw halle bailey invented singing halle and jonah invented chemistry all of the great things about the original still hold up 30 yrs later#a lot of the expansions were actually really interesting and worked really well for me? like giving eric his own song and fleshing him out#the song itself was kinda mid as most of the original songs from these remakes are but i liked that they expanded him a bit#i think they might've missed an opportunity to explore the adoption aspect a little more but idk that might just be me#and otoh some of the added stuff was so unnecessary like#making her forget she needs to kiss him just so that idk ursula seems even more evil and sebastian has an 'excuse' to sing kiss the girl??#silly#the little mermaid figurine was adorable but they didn't repeat the words 'my little mermaid' so much#it's not a flaw of the original that they don't say the words 'the little mermaid' you don't have to say the title in the movie#a lot of these changes felt like they think the audience is dumb and don't trust them to understand that it's called the little mermaid#because she is the youngest sister and she is a mermaid. we get it okay we understand.#and also like. i get why they recruit these really talent and famous musical theatre composers to write new songs but#i think it's a better idea to get writers who can emulate menken and ashman's style a bit better bc the new songs really stuck out#lin manuel miranda is so talented but his style is so different to theirs idk#long story short halle bailer supremacy + trust your audience#or maybe don't bc my siblings always prefer the remakes to the originals and they're more representative of the general audience so.

pc players talking about missing the combat of dao and how good it is as if they don’t have twenty million quality of life improvements and still constantly use skip combat mods. you do not want dao combat again. you hate it. take it from a console player who is forced to endure dao as it actually is: you do not want this again. you are not playing dao and you can’t even begin to understand how little you know it nor how good you have it
#keeping some degree of tactical elements and party control is good but dao is not a good game to play. its bad#i’m genuinely astounded at how much it sucks to play despite only being from 2009. it’s aged Decades it feels#which is baffling because earlier bioware games and even da2 just a year and a half later don’t have this problem or it’s only a fraction#as bad as origins is#anyways every da game is super different from the last and also dai will be a decade old when dreadwolf comes out and origins can probably#get a learner’s permit to drive in the us by that time. the new gameplay’ll be fine probably and either way that’s not really what most#fans are really here for anyhow. it’s about the cast and the world and scrambling that egg#i just really hate this specific kind of player who’s deluded themselves into thinking origins doesn’t suck#it’s good and it’s bad and feels terrible and amazing#it needs a remake for so many reasons and number one is an oghren rewrite and number two is making it bearable to play#also we literally have no idea what the gameplay for dreadwolf looks like in practice so maybe save your comments for when you play it

i played re3 and it's not as fun as re2 was but i think i like the puzzles and map design of re1 and re2 too much. it's just so incredibly satisfying to figure out how to whittle a playthrough down to as little time as possible while still being conpletionist about it and re1 and re2 are both really evidently designed with that in mind they're both really particular about when you gain access to what. re3 is a much more straightforwaed game which honestly works a little to its detriment it's less fun to navigate :( less moments to go oh! whoa! that's so clever! i do like jill and carlos a lot though. and it's interesting seeing nemesis grow even if the in-fiction pseudoscience on thst one is.... bizarre
#i'm a little exhausted of the secret underground umbrella lab plot point...#i also really like how re2 amd re3 match up chronologically. playing through carlos' section at rpd was just going :o woah.#i'm sad they stopped doing the two different accounts thing for re3 it was honestlg one of mg favorite parts of the previous games too#and i like how they did claire a & leon a with leon b and claire b. i think it's fun and interesting#because when you play each of them you DO wonder how they navigate around each other and it's a question re1 didn't really have time to ->#answer but re2 did. and i think that rules :)#i love how leon's run is just objectively harder. his companion's section is kind of agonizing because you don'f have the resources to ->#play it the way you're supposed to play the rest of his account#and sherry's section made me really frustrated but it's a lot easier#and the flame rounds taking out the lickers in one shot where leon is getting pursued by cerberi. funny#leon ans ada throughout the sewer act in re2 -_-. thinks of them#i'm very presictable but i like jill and carlos a lot. they're alittle in love i think maybe. sorry#call me!#disclaimer i am talking about the remaies for all of these i have not played thr originals. and jt's worth noting that re1 remake is much ->#older than re2 remake or re3 remake#2002 vs 2019/2020...#next on my list is re0. :) and then re4#and i'm slowly gaining more interest in re7... so maybe that

hmmmmmm rotating idea for a new skyrem character......
#i've been itching to create a new oc lately. not vibing with most of the current ones. idk why but it'll pass im sure#anyway. last night in bed while trying to sleep off a migraine i started thinking abt isabeau#and wondering if she should be the dragonborn after all#like shes already a criminal mastermind and (in my homebrew timeline) by 4e 201 which is when the main plot takes place#she has restored the thieves guild's power and influence and expanded her criminal network across the whole province#add to that the dragonborn thing and being basically a demigod destined to save the world n all. its a bit much innit#dont get me wrong i like my silly little viddy game ocs ridiculously overpowered every now n then. its good for the soul#but still. i remembered this nord character i had ages ago for like two weeks maybe. named vigdis bear-arm#very textbook stereotypical dumb muscle heavy armor wearing greatsword wielding nord#i wanna remake her as the dragonborn... with some tweaks... she will still be a heavy armor wearing nord but also a spellsword mayhap#oc: isabeau#oc: heidrun#the original vigdis did not use magic at all but i already have isabeau who does not use magic at all#and its like a Big Part of her character so im not abt to change it#also it creates a funny contrast between beau and vigdis.#beau whose people are known for their natural magical talent doesnt understand jack shit abt magic#and vigdis whose people often mistrust magic is fine with it and a talented spellcaster 😌#i also Need to reinstall that game i miss it so much !!!#OH also i wanna try out the gore follower mod. i never had any followers with isabeau bc i just cant see her hanging with any of em#but. based on what i know of gore i think he would work well with vigdis.. hm... hmmmm
