I've been seeing a new shrink for like. a month ish now. ok. and the thing about this new round of talk therapy is that I've been in and out of therapy for uhhhh 13? years at this point. More than half my life. so I know Exactly what is wrong with my skull and what to do to mitigate it, but in order to stay on my meds I have to keep going to talk therapy.

And this combined with the ADHD/autism thing of 'if I'm not interested in a topic there is not a power in heaven or hell that will make me stay on it instead of switching to a topic I do like', has been a challenge for my new shrink.

She will be trying to like, help me emotionally cope with the cruelty of the American healthcare system, and I'll be "Yeah I'm forced to stay in poverty to maintain access to healthcare but big whoop, cant do anything about it and I'm at peace with it, Anyways So there's this character called Miquella Elden Ring and I think people didn't really understand his vibes until the dlc- yeah no this has nothing to do with that I'm just thinking miqy thoughts"

I have a big google doc thing where I keep track of media and stuff (putting everything in loosely ranked categories), which is mostly just for my own reference so I know what tv shows I've already seen before, etc. and I never really look back through it, typically just a quick "okay, watched two movie in the past 8 months, need to quickly slap them somewhere in the lists. okay. done. save document. exit". But today I was actually reading through some of the old notes and there are like... MULTIPLE places where my comment is basically "It would have been good if it were about elves" or "I wish there was a fantasy show made in this same style" or "It's well made, but I just keep thinking about how I would like it more if everyone was an elf or was in old 1700s costumes" or etc like...... lol.... Most biased media ranking system on earth blatantly made by someone with an extremely hyperspecific range of narrow interests. It'd be like if a food reviewer only had 5 foods they actually liked, so they'd just go to a pizza place and be like "eh, the pizza was okay, but I just think it would be better if it was cereal instead. :/ ...2 out of 10"

my beef with Loft Theory is that it's structured like an AU plot rather than an actual theory or speculation. like if it was "what if there were other entities besides just the void? what if they were the sky and the land? what if this is going to escalate into a power struggle that everyone is caught up in and avid has to choose a side?" then that would be a fun theory, but instead it's a whole play-by-play of "here's how this is going to happen: dark oak is going to kill the void with a death laser and the sky will turn red and doovid and avid share a touching scene at the end".

legitimately i wouldn't be annoyed with it if it was a story they were writing and not them framing it as This Will 100% Happen And Here's How because that personally bugs me
