i'm interested to hear if you have any headcanons for kimblee. or maybe just some facts you think about a lot relating to him. i don't have many kimblee mutuals. we can hunt each other for sport if you want and have a 10-second head start

A 10 second head start?! You're so kind! I will gladly take any opertunity to yap about him. I could go on forever. If only I could stay on one point without without going on 100 tangents. I'm even doing it now.

As for headcanons, I don't make them, I moreso steal other people's and keep them in a little box in my mind. We all seem to be on the same page anyways (all 5 of us), which is good, if I saw someone saying something incorrect I'd have to put my phone down and take a break. (Terrible, I know.)

I like to think about the origin of all of his brain fuckery. A part of me likes the idea that he was just born like that, but at the same time, people with happy childhoods don't think that way. I love that, with time and effort, you can draw an intricate picture of how his mind works, and all you need is logic.

Kimblee does not abide by morality. This is obvious. But, all people need a value system. Something to tell them how "better" one thing is than the other. A ranking. Other examples of value sytems are things like religions and laws, they often intersect. Without these, all internal structure falls apart. Morality is a value system almost everyone is raised on, and at some point, Kimblee must've discarded it. When? What prompted it? I'd imagine it was something to do with being a big fan, or realising he was a big fan, of murder. Well fuck, suddenly the worst thing ever is also the best thing ever. This isn't working. Brain contradictions like that feel like shit. (This realisation / rewiring can be traumatic in of itself.)

Without the morality he was raised on, where does he turn to know what to value, what to think? He turned to nature.

Value is, after all, subjective, things do not have any inherit value. We've all just made it all up. At least what kimblee belives is observable and constant. He seeks patterns like that. (He knows these things are subjective, see him talking about "the laws of nature changeing to fit the new reality." In ch92. The laws aren't changeing, just our perception of them.)

And oh, the irony to be killed by the king of the jungle and then be eaten by pride?! First time I watched it I had to stop mid way through crying to go "ah, yea I see what you did there, that was cleaver!" That was totally the way he wanted to go, in a battle of wills.

He isn't simplified as being all bad or all good. We see him genuinely admire the rockbell doctors for sticking with what they belive uintill the end. It's the same reason he didn't like what mustang and riza where saying.

They wheren't sticking to what they belive. If they didn't want to kill people, don't put on the uniform in the first place, becuase they all knew dam well that killing people is in the job description. They made a decision, and then turned around and started whineing about it. No, no, kimblee thought it through. He's there to kill people. Oh, and that gets me onto the topic of hypocrisy.

But atlas, it is 5:40 AM and I am tired. I love having an excuse to yap about him, so feel free keep the questions coming. There is more. There is so, so, so, so much more and I hope this makes sense. I've never talked about him before and yea this is nice. I am a proud kimblee scholar.

actually incredibly funny to me that ranpos entire thing centres on how his intelligence is not because of an ability or any other great thing, its just him. hes entirely, completely, inarguably human. and Yet, when it comes to dazai, so many people are Desperate that there just Has to be another explanation. his intelligence cant just be that hes unusual, no it must be a marker of separation, of difference so great it disallows the reality of his humanity.

Excuse the rambling but I got back into the tf Brandon earlier this year and, honestly, it’s kinda funny seeing so many of my favourite internet stars revealing that, yea, they are also transformers fans and, yes, the robots are attractive.

I think you’re the third since the TF one movie came out? Anyway-

One of the reasons I love TFP Soundwave is that, even among cybertronians he’s strange. An outlier. I know you aren’t familiar with the comics but Outlier is also a term for cybertronians who have an ability. Basically, Soundwave can read minds. Even more interesting is that Shockwave (before the whole Empurata) was protecting and learning about outliers. I find both of their characters absaloutly fascinating.

I’m writing my own fic for Megs and Sounders (prewar so BUFF GLADIATORS BABY) and I’m kinda sewing together this quilt made up of so many different continuities.

Soundwave in himself is one of the most powerful Decepticons. He is the con that gets the job done, fixes mistakes and scares the crap out of everyone.

Also, cannon fun fact, his favorite animal is elephants. Absaloutly adores them.

I don’t read the comics but even though they don’t say it outright in the show I love how everyone acts weird about Soundwave, he’s so weird among cybertronians and he’s p creepy too, my favorite ehhe//

I know G1 Soundwave could mindread and TFP Soundwave uses his tentacles to transfer information, but does every Soundwave mind read? Also pre-empurata Shockwave 👁️👁️

“Soundwave is one of the most powerful Decepticons” is another thing that makes me blush about him hfjhg… he is. SO competent among the Decepticons, I read comments saying if Soundwave isn’t in the group they kinda fumble around.

Another thing about Soundwave I love in TFP if someone else is on the job, for me it’s 50-50 whether the Autobots or Decepticons win, but if Soundwave’s there I go “oh no. The Decepticons are going to get the Thing™”
