yandere!malleus draconia x (female) reader cw: yandere, unhealthy behaviors/relationship, pregnancy, implied baby-trapping, captivity, very vague and slight implications of codependency, angst note - your mobile phone was at 100% when he took you away. with time, the percentage has diminished. so, too, does your hope for a brighter future.
The windowpane is spattered with rain.
Sitting cozy in a cushioned alcove, you watch the droplets slide down in regal rivulets, consolidating to form single streaks. The scenery beyond the window is bleak and dreary—a despondent landscape of gnarled, leafless trees and scratchy brambles stretching towards a dark, dismal sky. Sometimes you liken the rain to tears, wondering if Mother Nature weeps for all creatures or simply for you and your situation. Rare are the days in which the sun shines upon the craggy stone façade of your captor’s castle, and she is as benevolent as she is cruel.
For all of its sumptuous splendor, generational wealth filling the interior with priceless heirlooms and relics, it is an empty, cold structure. You’ve taken to enveloping yourself in thick furs, if only because these furs do not speak like the monster who so humbly offers his embrace. Though you’ve always considered yourself of strong, sturdy mind, your restraint is thinning. As the days pass and you shed clothing sizes like they’re second skins, you find yourself drawn to warmth.
Which is, ironically enough, contradictory to your current temperament. The windows, frigid like the grave, provide solace you cannot find anywhere else—for it is only tender warmth you receive from him. Had he not been so merciful, perhaps it would have been easier to shrink away and truly loathe him with every ounce of your being.
And yet, in order to escape the warmth which enshrouds, you seek the cold, bitter windows and their rain-weary countenance.
Lying beside you on the pillows, snoozing the afternoon away, a calico cat snores idly. She was a gift from him. You were neglectful of your mental health and thus, as per his guard’s suggestion, he sought to find a cat to cure your loneliness and inspire some form of happiness. You appreciate Silver—genuinely, you do—but the good luck a calico brings is not nearly enough to rescue you from captivity.
She was a stray, a scrawny thing with a limp and one bad eye. You took to her right away, scooping her up in your arms and lovingly naming her Cotton. Similarly, she returned your affections, rubbing her head against your palm and purring pleasantly.
Now she likes to nudge the dome that is your stomach, a great, round thing at only six months. Sometimes you think she’s more motherly than you are. You’ve never been able to care for much of anything. Plants wither under your touch, recipes spoil even when you follow them to the letter, and your electronics crack.
Your phone, more fractured than your very heart, is cold in your hands. The screen is blank; it’s dying. It was at 100% before. Now it’s been reduced to a sad 7%. There is no reception or connection to be had in Briar Valley. Your phone, once so powerful and all-knowing, is but a hollow shell. Useless. A digital photo album will expire at its final hour, and there’s no charger. He offered to use his magic to charge it, but he has never known his own strength and you couldn’t risk losing the treasured memories stored within.
Sometimes you’d return to old message logs and read through them. Now you can’t do that, lest you drain the battery quicker than intended.
“So this is where you’ve retreated,” Malleus notes, poking his head around the corner of a towering bookcase. Concern settles on his features. “Are you well? Sebek tells me you were absent for breakfast.” “I wasn’t hungry,” you mutter, watching his reflection through the stormy glass.
Malleus glances at Cotton and then at your phone as it rests in your clasp. “May I trouble you to eat just a little, if only some fruit?”
“I’m not hungry.” He nods, stalling. “Will you join me for lunch?”
“If I must.”
A small smile lifts his lips. “Are you cold? It can’t be very comfortable to sit there for such a long time. You’ll catch your death.”
“I hope.”
He tuts in disapproval and shrugs out of his cloak, draping it over you even though you’re already wearing a fleece robe. Malleus assesses you with a fleeting once-over.
“It doesn’t hurt to layer. You must understand where I’m coming from, dearest. Extreme temperatures serve to weaken those who are already so fragile.”
“I’m not fragile,” you snap, turning to scowl.
He doesn’t flinch at the heat smoldering in your eyes. “You’re human.”
“How many times did you have to practice that to come to terms with it?”
Malleus’s verdant stare narrows; his frown tightens. “It’s the truth.”
“I didn’t think you’d confront it.”
“I must if I’m to understand…” He exhales through his nose, deflating somewhat. “You’re in fine health. The physician tells me so. There’s no need to worry ourselves with ineffectual what-ifs.”
You turn your gaze on the sprawling forest next, unwilling to discuss the report and its subsequent conclusion: If she remains in good health and follows the recommended diet for an expecting mother, she’ll carry to term.
“My phone is dying, Malleus.”
“Is that not life? Lilia once said so.”
“My pictures… My everything is stored in this phone. It means so much to me.”
“Truly? Is there not a way to make physical copies of these photographs?”
“Unless Briar Valley has the technology to do so…”
“I’m afraid not.”
Malleus takes a daring step closer, endeavoring to comfort you. Cotton cracks her good eye open to peer at him. She hisses low in her throat, a protector standing small against something so tall. Pouting, clearly disheartened, Malleus heeds her warning and chooses to linger just within the bounds she deems acceptable.
“Yeah, that’s what I assumed.”
You heave a dejected sigh, your shoulders drooping. Seeking to cleanse your visual palate, you power the device on. 5% blinks back at you, an insignificant number sitting in a corner that you normally wouldn’t have paid much mind to. Now it weighs heavy, a reminder that the end is encroaching.
“I would’ve liked to keep these photos forever,” you whisper, mostly to yourself. Malleus hums his acknowledgement; you think he knows the feeling—or some variant of it, at least. “If I lose these pictures…”
“Do you not have memories?”
“I do, but it isn’t the same. One day I’ll grow old and my memory will be frail. I won’t remember nearly as much as I do now. Those memories will become ghosts and eventually I’ll—”
“You will not.” There’s a finality to the declaration—you won’t leave me; you won’t drain or die like this mobile device.
You rest your head against the window. The cool glass soothes your soul. I wonder what the others are up to right now… You place your hand upon your belly. I wonder if they’d have any good ideas for a name. I’m terrible at naming things. I can never pick something that feels right.
“I’d like to have a funeral for my phone.”
But maybe there is no right thing.
“Of course,” he agrees, perfectly serious. You will have that phone funeral, just as you will have every other request you make—however patently absurd it may seem. (Every other request except for freedom, of course.) “Materials may not have the same worth as a loved one, but the experiences they provide are just as valuable. Surely, no? Otherwise I would not feel so troubled when Roaring Drago…” Pausing to search for the placeholder, Malleus glances at your phone. “Perhaps there is no greater tragedy than existence itself.”
“It’s the most bittersweet burden,” you echo, scrolling through each picture with wistful remembrance. “But then I’d rather know the fleeting frivolity of life than endure hundreds of years of solitude. It makes me appreciate everything that much more.”
You stop at a picture of you and Malleus, a photo snapped by Lilia himself. Part of you often wonders why he chose you—why he adores you to such a degree when you, like everyone else, will inevitably perish. But therein lies the allure: That which is unobtainable is even more tempting. And because there is only one of you, a human destined to one day return to her home world, your very presence is more fleeting than a dream.
To Malleus, who has always dreamt, fond and fervent, of the unobtainable mundanity of normal life, you are a sweet, tangible blessing.
“Horns, do you think I’ll ever get another chance to have my phone at 100%?”
He softens under the nickname. It means more to him than his lofty station. “Would you like to know that joy?”
“It would be nice, yes, but then I’d just get sad when it reaches zero. I guess I should be grateful it’s stayed alive for this long. Sorry, it’s a stupid question. Just forget it.”
“Nonsense. There is no such thing.” He reaches to touch your cheek, but Cotton hisses again and so he refrains. She stands on unsteady legs and climbs into your lap, perching awkwardly in spite of your rounded belly. The sight draws a deep chuckle from him. “Your feline friend is quite taken with you.”
“It’s probably because I’m warm. She likes my belly a lot.”
“As do I.”
You roll your eyes.
“Your beauty is most beguiling. There’s a certain radiance to your person. It’s very charming. Do you not agree?”
“Flattery will get you nowhere—definitely not in Cotton’s good graces.”
“I’m simply voicing a fact.”
Your hand slides down from your stomach to pat Cotton. She purrs under your touch, and a weak approximation of a smile tugs at your lips. Amidst all of this sorrow, she is a glimmer of hope. In a way, she’s like you—a stray without a place in this world, snatched from the cobbles she once wandered and confined in a cage of royal opulence. Your similarities are striking, if not immensely devastating.
“Fact or not, I don’t care if I look pretty. It means nothing to me.”
“To be impartial towards appearances… Quite a noble mindset.”
I never once thought you were scary or strange, Horns. Even now.
You look at your phone once more. 3% flickers back.
You’re just lost, and in being lost you found me. But I was also lost. I never even belonged in this world to begin with…
“I’m not going to be a good mother.”
“You can’t know that.”
“I can’t even take care of myself.”
“I shall care for you when you find yourself unable to.”
“I’d rather you not.”
With Cotton having curled on your lap, slumbering peacefully, Malleus chances to close the gap. His broad frame leans to make up for the difference in height, and he runs cold fingers along your cheek. He brushes away the tears you weren’t even aware you were shedding.
You grip your phone in shaky hands, your shoulders hunched. There’s a piercing ache in your chest, pain stabbing all the way through to your heart. It persists when you power it off, unable to delight in pictorial reminiscence for a moment longer. Silent like death, you sob; seismic dismay shudders through you in waves. Distantly, in a forgotten corner of your brain, you suspect this may be the last time you’ll ever use your phone. The last time you’ll ever look upon the photos you’ve amassed. Photos of friends, class notes, food. Photos snapped by mistake, blurry and unfocused. Photos taken when Ace and Grim stole your phone. Precious memories are preserved within the permanence of a photo album—an album that only remains everlasting so long as you keep your phone charged.
Your final shred of the world beyond Briar Valley vanishes in a blip, leaving you with the dark void that is an empty screen. Brutal is the agony, contorting your face, and you bawl like you’ve just witnessed the end of a life.
In a way, you have. You held it in the palm of your hands, and you watched it wither. Watched the percentages drop through numbers, double digits easing into singles. Watched every week and tried to spare your beloved phone of its fate. Watched and attempted to stall the impossible—a foolish undertaking. This was inevitable; you knew this, and yet you’re still mourning.
Perhaps that is the most tragic facet of existence. From the moment one is born, they are mourning. Humans mourn losing time—of allowing it to slip through their fingers when they should have put it to better use. Humans mourn aging even though it is celebrated yearly. Humans mourn for things that are inhuman—for robots stuck in an endless cycle of some menial task while gears grow rusted and systems shut down or trapped on a distant planet, never to return home. For the fruit that falls from trees and rots, trampled and forgotten. For the endings, good and bad, of novels. For art that will never see the light of day because it has been destroyed or stolen or silenced. For the friends they meet, have met, and will meet.
You mourn because you know it’s impending, and you spend all of your life coming to terms with it, only to break down when it finally happens because the truth of the matter is that you will never be prepared no matter how much you prepare yourself. You mourn because you’re a complex human with complex emotions, surviving in a complex world with millions of intricacies, and the only way to weather misery is to mourn.
To the little life cradled in your womb, who knows not of these difficulties yet, they cannot fathom the anguish that accompanies loss. And right now that is all you can hope for—a life without loss.
But that is impossible because loss is true to everyone’s experience. It is part of existence, and existence is inescapable.
Malleus does not gather you in his arms. He will do so if you ask, and he knows you want to ask, which is precisely why he waits. But you’re stubborn and you refuse to give in to the temptation, let alone grant him the satisfaction. It doesn’t offend him.
The windowpane is spattered with rain. So, too, is your phone, spotted with tears and snot.
Briefly, you wonder if you still look beautiful to Malleus.
Even at your ugliest, he would still cherish you. Desperately, as if he might lose you.
Knowing this does not soften the gutting grief.

Simple idea for Catnap!
Carrying around a reader who's been working too hard, and just about ready to go some sleep, and who better to help than that giant kitty!
Sweet Dreams
Note || OOOH, you are so right
WC || 475
Sypnosis || There is simply no better way to take a load off then the help of a very giant cat.
This giant kitty doesn’t expect much from when he first crosses paths with you, now he’s just extremely concerned for you when he notices you beginning to really overwork yourself. CatNap just watches and waits from the shadows (emo kitty), too see when was the best time to intervene, he really does get genuinely concerned for you.
You're about ready to get some much needed sleep it seems, so CatNap is more than happy to help you doze off into your sleeping chambers. He knows well enough that people and toys alike aren’t gonna do well on the basis of energy, that lack of sleep can make a person really cranky.
CatNap can speak of this from experience.
You're only a human after so you remind yourself, trying to get all this work done wasn’t doing any good on your mental and physical health. Sleep was sorely needed, yet you didn’t want to go to sleep without getting all the paperwork done first. Offhandedly there is miscellaneous work you had also needed to get done as well.
This was exhausting. Extremely exhausting enough as is, you realize sleep is ebbing into your eyelids, you yawn and rub your eyes. Leaning back on your lamp desk chair, you sigh weighing in on the pros and cons of the lack of sleep you realize will affect you in a few hours from now.
Black was pouring into your vision, you tried fighting the sleep quickly claiming you, yet the need to rest had quickly overtaken your compulsive need to get work done.
A shadow looms over your unconscious figure, tail wrapping around your waist and lifting you carefully onto his back. CatNap sighs internally as he bites back at how limp you look sleeping, you just needed that rest and it was clearly evident to the large cat. He couldn’t sit down at this spot, you needed somewhere more puffed up and fluffy to sleep on.
CatNap lets out a puff of red smoke as he realizes that he simply will have to walk around while you sleep, at most his back was probably more safer to sleep on then anywhere in the factory. He takes a step back from your desk, carefully taking watch of where he stepped so as to not knock over any paperwork that you seemed to work so hard on. Also taking care to keep watch of any furniture and decoration that may be at risk of his large paws and tail.
Ah, walking is something CatNap constantly is doing. A cat is always on the prowl, yet not for him. CatNap had a priority right now, and that was to watch over you and keep you safe while you got your much needed sleep.
A snore snapped him out of his internal maze of thoughts.
You really were knocked out cold.

ADVENTURES WITH CHEESE EXTENDED EDITION PT 3
In a nearly unheard of turn of events, I had the apartment all to myself today. Well, me and Cheese that is. The Chan Clan were all out doing their thing, leaving me to do mine. Which is hang around the apartment in my pajamas.
I was craving something sweet, though. Funnel cakes, to be precise. I hadn’t had one in years, and the thought of one now was making my mouth water. The process of making them wasn’t difficult per se, but annoying and time-consuming.
Thinking about it, we may even have all the ingredients needed already here. Whatever, it was just me today, I was going to make funnel cakes and enjoy them with no guilt. I may even make myself two and eat the second one later when the boys got home. Who was gunna judge me, the boys. Please, as long as I made a funnel cake for them, they wouldn’t say a word.
As I set up the ingredients, I put on a playlist of my favorite songs and got to work. I didn’t make desserts often. I found things like this, too precise. I liked cooking better where you can be more or less generous with ingredients with the same basic result. It was much easier to deal with, especially when I tended to forgo measuring cups and spoons and preferred to measure with my tastebuds and heart.
Cheese was on the counter next to where I put some dry ingredients. He sniffed curiously at the bowls and bags, but wasn’t trying to touch or eat them so I let it go. You sometimes have to choose your battles with cats, and this one just wasn’t worth it.
“Don’t touch the stove, bud, its hot.” I warned him when he got to close to the red hot coils of the burner I was using. I watched out of the corner of my eye as he gave the burner a curious sniff before moving away again.
I smiled to myself and turned to mix the wet ingredients together.
I was in my head, zoned out, listening to music and mindlessly making the funnel cakes when a sneeze and a clatter got my attention.
I snored inelegantly at the sight before me. Cheese was covered in the powdered sugar I had put into a bowl on the dry ingredients counter. “Did you get too curious there babe?” I asked as I wiped my hands and immediately took out my phone to take pictures and message the boys.
Now to clean Cheese up. He held still well enough, only chirping in annoyance as I rubbed a dry towel, then a wet towel over his face. I got most of it off, but the powdered sugar seemed to get stuck deep down into his fur. I would leave it, but I wasn’t sure if powdered sugar was safe for cats to eat, and I wasn’t willing to risk his health because I was lazy and didn’t want to bathe a cat.
So into the bathroom I went after making sure everything in the kitchen was turned off or down to safe levels since I wasn’t going to be around to watch it. Better safe than sorry. The last thing I wanted to do while I crashed here was burn the place down. Talk about being a bad house guest.
I had teased Bin, but in reality Cheese was a laid back bather. He was grumpy, but he didn’t bite or scratch at you when you had to give him a bath. But I also knew he would give me the cold shoulder for the next few hours while he bathed obsessively to get his fur back to just right.
“Where is my poor baby boy!” Lino asked as soon as the front door opened later on.
I scoffed from my spot on the couch. “Hello to you to.”
Lino held up a hand in my direction and looked around the room. “Hush evil woman! Where is the king of the house?”
“Where are the funnel cakes?” Bin put in a second later. I pouted at both of them refusing to answer.
The door shut as the last two came in and took off their shoes. “Who is being mean to you y/n?” Channie asked as he spotted my pouting form on the couch. He tugged lightly on my jutting lower lip and kissed the top of my head.
“They only care about food and Cheese!” I whined high pitched and annoying.
Hyune threw himself over my lap and poked my cheek. “How dare they!”
“You weren’t the one emotionally traumatized by powdered sugar and water today!” Lino shouted form another room, still looking for Cheese. I wasn’t going to tell him he was hiding under the bed in Chans room. Let him keep looking.
Bin came up behind me on the couch and wrapped his arms around my head in a hug. “Im sorry. Hello, y/n how was your day? Did Cheese scratch you too bad when you gave him a bath? I can help you apply antibiotic ointment.” He offered.
I shoved him off and away, fixing my static riddled hair. “Better. Funnel cakes are in the oven keeping warm. Sprinkle the powdered sugar on it and its ready to go.” I didn’t bother answering any of his questions, knowing he mostly didn’t care about them. Not really. They were only a means to an end. His funnel cake.
Hyune sat up and gently took one of my arms, inspecting it. “Don’t worry. Cheese doesn’t like baths, but he doesn’t scratch.”
Dinner wasn’t the healthiest that night, all of us full of funnel cake and hyped up on powdered sugar, but we had fun. Cheese even deemed me forgiven enough to let me pet him again. After I gave him a couple of apology treats.
I sighed and threw my phone down on my bed. Cheese blinked his eyes at me in curiosity before rolling over and stretching out the length of his body. “What do you think Cheese? You wanna live here?” I smoothed down the soft fur on his belly and snatched my hand away before he could bite at it for daring to touch his belly.
A couple minutes later there was a knock on my door. “Come in.” I called reaching to get my phone again.
Hyune stepped inside and shut the door again behind him. “Whats up?” I patted my bed inviting him to sit.
Hyune sat, chewing on the inside of his cheek slightly. “I wanted to talk to you about moving in.”
I sighed. “You know I cant. You have already given up your room for long enough, and I do not want to overstay my welcome. You guys have been amazing already and I do not want to push in.”
“That’s just it though. We really don’t want you to leave. I cant speak for the others, but it makes me want to cry when I think about you leaving. And me and Bin are just fine sharing a room. We literally only use it to sleep so its not even a sacrifice!”
“Of course it’s a sacrifice, you just don’t realize it yet! You and Bin don’t have a place to call your own. You don’t have a safe zone where you can go to just be alone!” These were very important things for someone’s mental health. Especially when they lived with other people. Humans sometimes just needed a place to exist in alone. Be with their own thoughts.
He waved me off. “If either of us ever need that we can just tell the other and have the room to ourself for however long we need. There are two other rooms in this apartment that would welcome either of us for the night if we asked. And im sure not even you would turn us down for the night if we needed it.”
That was true. I had no qualms about letting any one of them stay with me for a night. We had slept all in a pile in the living room once or twice since we started doing Friday night cat movie night. This wasn’t much different, even if it was more one on one.
“Bottom line, please stay.” Hyune said after giving me a minute to think about what he said.
I rolled my eyes lightly. “I’ll think about it.”
He smiled widely and hopped off the bed. Far too happy for someone who just got a maybe. (even if I knew I was going to give in. I wanted to stay as much as they wanted me to stay)
When I was finally allowed back in my apartment the boys took an entire day off from their work to help me go to my old apartment, pack, and move everything. Between all of us it was finished in half a day. I truly didn’t have much anyways as I had only moved in a couple months before the fumigation started.
And Cheese was very happy to have all his stuff back. Particularly his 6 ft tall cat tree. That went into my new room right by the window so he could bask in all his glory in the sun as it shown through.
Everything that was even remotely suspected of having a bed bug on it was thrown directly into the trash. We were not risking that. I could buy anything I needed to replace with time.
A/N: So again, sorry, the texts don't quite match up with the extended version timeline. 😅 bear with me, please 🙏
And thank you for reading and interacting in anyway or just reading alone. I hope you enjoy the antics of the Chan Clan

wolfstar microfic: knight bus || wolfstar raising harry pt.8 || @wolfstarmicrofic || wc: 474
"I'm never again let you stay in a charity shop this long.” Sirius grumbles under his breath at Remus, who is sitting next to him, as he pulls Harry closer to him on his lap, trying to keep him as steady as possible so that the ice cream-filled boy doesn't throw up.
He wishes someone would hold Sirius the same way, because in the last two minutes he's hit his head at least five times on the shelf next to him. Listen, he was guilty of traffic offenses himself, but at least his adventures with his motorcycle didn't hurt anyone else.
“You know, it was actually you who asked me to find a new chair for Harry, and that's what I've been doing.” Remus replies calmly, as if he's not even affected by the crazy scene around him.
Because of Remus's long search, they stayed until almost all the shops in Diagon Alley were closed, and the ones that were still open didn't have any connected floo fireplaces. On top of that, Harry just hated being apparatied, so their only options to get home were to either buy old brooms at the same charity shop and fly home (not a good idea, you must admit) or catch the Knight Bus, risking their mental health, because no parent in their right mind would let their child go to this psychiatric hospital on wheels.
Sirius's head was beginning to ache from the drink he had had earlier in the bar, the stuffiness and stress. It seemed like they would never get there, and it was one of those peak times when all the seats around them were occupied by various freaks. On the one hand, a gray-haired man with a shaggy hairstyle was staring at Remus, periodically licking his lips and twiddling his thumbs. On the other side, an old witch wearing the ugliest hat ever made was trying to lean closer to them to look into Harry's eyes, smiling broadly at him with her crooked smile and yellow teeth.
Sirius's instincts were screaming in his ears, not knowing which way to rush first, which person to defend, because the two most important people to him were here, under the observation of those freaks.
As if sensing the man's anxiety and uneasiness, Remus puts his hand on his trembling knee, squeezing it tightly. Sirius looks over at him and notices the tense line of his jaw from the way Remus is clenching his teeth. His own instincts and sense of smell were probably going as crazy as Sirius' right now, considering how close the full moon was.
So Sirius forced himself to take a deep breath and exhale through his mouth to avoid the horrible smell, and tightened his arms around Harry's body, who was already snoring in his lap from exhaustion and too much sugar.

Like we're they would be standing near the ledge if a bridge and Reader would just say randomly say "I would be nice to jump won't it?" and Andrew would just stare at her with a look of terror (He has though and done worse though)
But back to the Nurse part she carrys a doctors bag with medication and bandages/bandaids (she also has poison). Sometimes when Andrew and Ashley argue she would just stand there like 🧍♀️ knowing damn well she going have to patch them both up after this
(Preferably before and after the sacrifice of the cultist)
notes from coff-in: this is pretty wholesome, guh i just AAAUUGH i love it. i want them to be happy with each other you know? this was so good i just had to brain dump onto this request, it really got me thinking. thank you for requesting!! :D
[fem] reader-insert, [reader] younger than ashley by about a year, mentions or allusions to incest (nothing outright but im hinting at it), talks/mentions of suicide
i can see [reader] getting inspired to be a nurse when leyley got sick once. andy had to go to the store to get medicine for her and told [reader] to stay home and watch her. she tells leyley that she's going to be okay, "nurse [reader] and doctor andy are here to help you get better!" it made leyley so happy seeing [reader] and andy take care of her like that! i doubt she'd ever purposely get herself sick like that again, but it sparked something in [reader]--- being able to care for her siblings and feel necessary to them, to feel needed (i sprinkle insecurity everywhere)
during school, [reader] had a major interest in biology and health class (or the european equivalents i guess? i'm from the U.S. so i don't know much) and passing with good grades in those classes. she has a big medical or emergency kit in their bedroom for her to use and practice with. whenever andrew or ashley hurt themselves they always come over to [reader] so she can take a look at it because she insists on it.
she gets on andrew's case a couple of times about his smoking, about how it's not good for his lungs, could and will cause him lung cancer, etc etc it's mostly stuff he's heard before from her and their family. the thing that causes him to snap back into reality is [reader] saying her thoughts out loud, something along the lines of "i wish i could just suck the nicotine from your mouth so you don't have to risk it". he just looks at her bewildered (holy shit wouldn't that be KISSING???? 🙀🙀🙀) in fact [reader] would say a lot of weird shit while patching up her siblings.
"andrew, your hands are so big... and clammy, is your fever causing that?" "ashley your blood is such a pretty color. i would wear it as lipstick if i could." "hey andrew, did you know that you snore sometimes? you're so peaceful when you sleep, it makes me want to never wake you up." i think she just says weird shit in general, girly can NOT keep her thoughts to herself. the kids at her school dub her as weird and freaky, like ashley, and it causes them to grow closer together (especially with the one-year age gap) they eat lunch together and stick to each other like glue. they went to prom together too!! ashley invited [reader] over to her senior prom (andrew's there too if he could make it) and they dance with each other
"you guys look so beautiful... you two look like a couple" [reader] would giggle at andrew and ashley. andrew blushes at that comment and ashley makes it worse by saying "i know!!"
great times.... then they get quarantined :) not so great time, the lack of food as [reader] anout their health, especially since ashley insists on being active-- moving around and doing chores. she has to sometimes force ashley to get back into bed so she doesn't make herself faint again (andrew has [reader] help him move her to the couch or bed when this happens). i think [reader] would be strung up about starving too because it's not an easy fic for her; she can't just kiss the wound and put a band aid over it. not being able to help her siblings stresses her out and andrew and ashely notice this. they constantly have to remind her that it's not her fault that they're starving and she has nothing to apologize for
gods it would be awful if [reader] started to get suicidal too, or at least start becoming self sacrificing. "i could jump off the balcony..." she says out of nowhere when they're all watching TV "there's be one less mouth to feed, more food for you guys" and andrew and ashley are just like "NO". it honestly breaks their hearts seeing their baby sister feel so down and sad due to this fucking quarantine. "maybe i could chop off my arm and--" "[reader] SHUT UP!!! NO KILLING YOURSELF!!!"
(this definitely lead to the siblings cuddling or sleeping with [reader] not only to comfort themselves but also [reader], to make sure that she's alive too, you know? listening to her breathing and heart beat and feeling her warmth... maybe holding her tighter and closer, wrapping their arms around her in a tight hold. their heart cracks a little bit every time they hear her stomach growl in hunger. it's awful that she's withering away in this apartment and they hate that she blames herself in some capacity that they're suffering too when none of it is their fault; they're all suffering.)
speaking of chopping off arms, [reader] is immediately like "hey look food :D" when the cultist drops dead in the apartment. she helps andrew cut the cultists up while ashley cooks up dinner/breakfast and she's like "did you know that cooked human smells like pork" and andrew is like "please shut up". she also catches on quickly that the apartment isn't "quarantined due to contaminated water" but as a scheme to harvest organs. she's like " 3 x AB? like the blood type?" and "a book on human organs? huh... guys i think they're trying to take our organs" omg the interaction with the lady in 302 or whatever would be so fucking funny. ashley's accusing her of being a slut for food and [reader]'s like "so do you whore yourself out?"
(thinking back to that scene where someone got carried out of the apartment by ambulance, ashley's like "maybe they'd get me food if i got pregnant" and [reader]'s like "who's going to fuck you, andrew? besides pregnancy takes a lot of energy from the body and you need proper nutrition to make it and---" while andrew and ashley are just looking at her with wide eyes like 👁️👁️)
once they leave the apartment and get to the motel, [reader] probably gets her poison around here. idk how she got it earlier if she did. AAAAAHHHH THIS IS A COOL IDEA
thank you 'nonnie for ur genius. ur generosity knows mo bounds; i'm tearing into this shit like a mom stew (this is delicious food omg)
i hope you liked this, and indulge :3
