A preview of my long long fick about diluc

enemies to lovers, slow burn, a lot of headcanon, may be not lore accurate sometimes, vulgar language, torture, sociopathic tendencies, it's HARD enemies to lovers, Diluc basically hates reader and vice versa, spoilers for Diluc story, the traveler is Aether

I sometimes use Russian, Polish and Czech as Shneznayan languages because Snezhnaya is supposed to be a mix of slavic countries.

Summary: 

In difficult times people have many ideas on how to make the world better, sometimes those ambitions don't align, even when they offer the same end. Story about a girl with an impossible task doing everything to save the future.

This is Pet, a sneznayan escapee who was taken as a slave after being found with-you guessed it- a fox tail attatched to her ass.

Backstory!

She sorta served as entertainment, between prostitution from twelve to entertainment value. She is nineteen and killed her owners in her escape, then returned and burned the place down, freeing twenty others, but was wounded in the process. The others left her to die as they escaped, but Barbatos, honour ing her freedom, pressed an Anemo vision into her hand and healed her.

After wandering for a long time she eventually ended up in the forests near Dragonspine and is an occasional visitor to both Mondstadt and Albedo, though he dislikes her presence. He thinks she’s a little too feral to be near his lab equipment.

Weapon- dunno what it’s called but it’s this neat kunai-like thing that you can swing around with wire and slice with- sorta like nunchaku but sharper.

Personality- antisocial and picky as fuck she’ll start a fight and leave. Will not approach unless in a bad mood, in which she is most certainly looking for a fight. Will be reasonable if someone approaches her first.

Favorite food: spicy things

Least favorite: dislikes all drinks but water

interesting but i do agree with the other reblog, in my opinion it’s more likely hoyo would make childe fight us based on tsaritsa’s orders than us turning on him ourselves. for me, I don’t see it as romantic(?) well we’ve seen how we’re probably the only ones childe trusts outside of his family (telling us about his abyss story since it was also mentioned he would never tell this to just anyone) but we know how extremely loyal and devoted he is to the tsaritsa(with how he carried out the whole releasing a monster to liyue thing even tho he himself said he was reluctant and didn’t like involving the weak/helpless). he’d probably be like “dont take it personal comrade, think of it as a rematch.” also maybe in natlan we will find out more about the tsaritsa’s goal and maybe it’s something the traveler cant agree on. but i dont know, that’s just what I think🥲

The problem is... It's the most obvious thing to do and so far Hoyo have avoided obvious things.

Would be a nice subversion of expectations if they end up doing the obvious thing exactly once, of course.

In other words, he's a bit too pathetic to be tragic in this way.

And also there's Skirk's prophecy about overturning the world, so he can't die before that is addressed.

Liking rarepairs that have never met in canon is so exhausting because there're always be people who will be like "They'll never be canon" and "How do you like them when they haven't even interacted with eachother"

Opinions on the other Nations?

Mondstadt:

Good nation, frivolent archon. I do enjoy the peace that they have, though it seems as if that is shattered once that bard strolls in.

Liyue:

Morax's rule was quite effective. There are rules and they are followed and there are consequences for those who break those rules.

Sumeru:

Buer is truly a great ruler. She is capable of many things yet chooses only to use them for protection or to right wrongs. I have heard about what the sages did to her and I feel like that was unjust of them.

Fontaine:

I admire the sense of justice everyone holds, as well as the Hydro Dragon aiding in protecting the land. Most sovereign dragons are not so willing, I had to slay the one of electro. I admire Nya's spirit and sheer willpower.

Natlan:

Just as bad as the bard. War after war. The opposite of eternity. I do admire their sense of community, however.

I have something to say though:

Lumine's line and standing with a sword behind Dain...could it be we'll be getting a plot twist? (I know the abyss twin has attacked Dain before) I mean many already thought that maybe the sibling we play is the bad guy cause they know half the story the abyss twin does, but what if Dain is the bad guy?! What if the trap Lumine mentions is one that Dain has been building the whole time? What if they parted ways not because she decided to join the abyss for Khaenri'ah, but found out who Dain was at the end of the journey and turnt against him. WHAT IF DAIN IS EITHER THE SINNER OR CARIBERT? Ok maybe not Caribert cause he was with us during the Caribert quest. What if he is the sinner's pawn though?

Also I'm calling bs on most people that told our playing twin they've never seen the abyss twin. I get why humans wouldn't, it's been aeons, but archons? Yokai? Adepti? I don't buy it. The abyss twin walked in those places too. How invisible can you be not to get noticed by anybody?

- Have you heard about the Knaves poor spouse? Sneznayas Darling? No? Well, I have seen them only a few times since they decided to reside in Fontain. Or since she made them, it wouldn't suprise me, the woman is intimidating and knows her way with words, who knows what she did or does with them...

Wanderer

- Who? Hmmm, they usually are always by her side, she had never move them an inch from her, or atleast that was before she had them stay in Fontain. But the last time I saw them, I could swear that the ligth had dissapeared from their eyes. And who can blame them, with that wolf of a wife... hehe, she must have ripped them limp from limp by now.

Charlotte

- The Knaves spouse! Of course! They are a hard catch these days! Not that I could Photograph them though, they're the same as the Knave in that regard. If they are dead? I can assure you they are not! I always see them at the mornings when I run to work! Sometimes alone, sometimes with the Knave, but I only have ever gotten a wave out of them. Such a mysterious figure...I wish I could just get one interview, I even tried to write to them! But only the Knave responded, denying it...such a shame.

Lynette

- Huh, I will assume you got that information from Childe. 'Mother' is...different from 'Father' to say the least, they are gentler, have a softer voice. Though if you upset them, that soft voice will turn solid. I've seen it before when a few of my siblings tried to slack off to much. They are even more strict than 'Father' in some cases, but, none of us blame them and whoever talks bad about them...well...you don't wanna know.

Lyney

- So you have heard about them? Was it from the rumors that 'Father' has killed them? Or from Childe? Childe, really? Interesting. Well, when Lynette and I were younger, we have noticed that 'Father' would treat them differently. Just not in a positive ligth, while we liked them. They were... different from the other caretakers, and so we spun a little matchmaking with the help of Freminete. I remember it all quite fondly.

Freminete

- You've heard of 'Mother'? They are kind, I think. Sometimes...sometimes when I wanted to cry when I was younger, they would pull me aside and have me silently cry in their lap, even let me stain their clothes...they would never mention it to 'Father', and act as if it never happend.

Navia

- I thougth they were dead for the longest time! That was untill I overheard the Knave ask one of her soldiers to deliver the message that she'd need to stay a bit longer and for them to prepare the soldiers. I never meet them in person, but...I'd suggest you to be careful with them too. I don't think a Harbinger would choose their Partner ligthly.

Chiori

- I am not really one for rumors, let us just say that I thougth they were made up, but that was untill they came into my shop just five minutes after I opened it on a Monday. They were very adamant about the fabrics I should use and what they wanted, also having their measurements along with them already. I like customer's that know what they want. How I knew that they were the 'Mother'? The presence of the Knave in front of the shop was a big indicator for it, as for some other clues, like the ring, and the fact that they kissed, and maybe because they called her their Husband.

Arlecchino

- My spouse, of course, I've gathered that you have already heard about them.

What I can say about them? Well, as the 'Mother' it is their duty to stay by my side and support me in my work. They do so quite well. You say that, that sounds as if they function as the 'First Lady' or 'First spouse' in this case? Well, I suppose that's true.

- Oh? You wanna know even more about them? Maybe I should get you to meet them then, they have been asking me if they could meet that famous traveler everyone has been talking about, we could arrange something, just be careful, they have been quite timid lately. But I'm sure you'll get along well.

In the far away mountains of the snowy sneznaya...there was a certain harbinger's family who lived- of course you being his s/o you were supposed to stay with them until he arrived to take you back to the zapolyany palace along with him- and that harbinger is none other then childe-

Currently you were babysitting teucer..drinking hot chocolate with him watching the never ending Snowflakes drop on the pile of snow.. until teucer had a "great idea" which caused you to wonder.. should you or should you not risk of getting cold for a child wanting to play in the snow? Ofcourse you said yes impulsively cause you love children and cannot seem to say no- like that one time you almost adopted a child without telling your manbaby- yes you refer childe as a manbaby cause how he is similar to one in many ways

And you got hit with a snowball- great- more to add to your diary about what to do with your future kids- and there the snowball fight began Tonia even joined but sided with teucer leaving you defenseless and outnumbered..

Meanwhile as childe had returned home from a long journey of Missions he arrived to see the ongoing snowball fight and you outnumbered.. what did he do? Did he join you? Nope- he also joined teucer..which made you wonder why the hell you were with this man.. soon enough you ran inside to complain to their mother..

Now look at you getting all pampered..by his mom ofcourse as they cook you food and hotchocolate and warm the fire place so you would not freeze.. and there's your guilty manbaby- he sweared on his pinky finger to never do that you ever again.. he wouldn't want his tounge cut off would he?
