Ticket to you ~ Steph Catley x reader
Request #1 is finally here! Hope you enjoy anon!
///////////////////////////
It was early morning in London, mid-afternoon in Melbourne. You and Steph were on your usual FaceTime call, the one that always lasted until she had to leave for training. But today was different. Steph was flying to Lisbon for the Champions League final in three days.
“Are you sure you can’t come? You know I don’t mind paying, bub,” she said softly.
“I really can’t, baby, I’m sorry. With reporting opening soon and everything going on with Mum—”
“It’s okay,” Steph cut in, her voice quieter now, trying not to let it break. “Maybe next year.”
“We’ll all be watching you, superstar,” you promised with a smile that didn’t quite reach your eyes.
After a tearful goodbye, you closed your laptop and gently tossed it on the bed. The open suitcase beside you stared you down, accusing and expectant. You rolled off the mattress with a sigh and started to pack. An hour later, your phone pinged.
Check-in now available for your flight to Lisbon.
A smile tugged at your lips at the thought of Steph seeing you in the crowd. She had no idea.
Just then, a sharp knock on your front door snapped you out of your daydream. You opened it to find your best friend standing there, arms crossed, eyebrow raised.
“You forgot, didn’t you?” You blinked, confused. Then your eyes widened as you looked at the time.
“Oh my God, I’m so sorry—I was talking to Steph, and then I started—”
“Daydreaming,” your friend finished, smirking.
“Shut up and help me,” you muttered, dragging her inside.
Throughout the packing, your best friend teased you endlessly about being a hopeless romantic. And yeah… you really were. For her. While she ranted about a new guy she was talking to, your mind drifted back to Steph.
This was the biggest match of her life, and she didn’t think you’d be there. You couldn’t let her face it alone.
///////////////////////////
Three days later, you sprinted from one side of Melbourne Airport to the other, nearly knocking over a duty-free display. Your connecting flight to Dubai was already boarding, and you were seconds from missing it. You cursed your best friend—she’d been late picking you up that morning. You should’ve just booked an Uber. As you reached the gate, your group was called. You exhaled the breath you’d been holding and joined the line. Moving down the aisle of the plane, your phone buzzed.
Steph.
You tapped out a quick lie:
You: Sorry baby — stuck in a meeting. I love you ❤️
Stephy ❤️🐶: I’m sorry, bub. Call me later. I love you xx
You opened your messages with Caitlin and texted her to keep Steph distracted while you were en route. Once you settled into your seat and the plane doors closed, you pulled out your headphones and drifted off, listening to the playlist Steph made for you.
As the Portuguese coastline came into view—golden cliffs kissing the ocean below—your heart raced. Part fear. Part excitement.
It’s all for her.
//////////////////////////
The Arsenal team left their hotel for their traditional pre-match walk. Security swarmed around them like a pack of border collies guiding sheep. Fans and journalists lined the sidewalks as they turned the corner. Steph scanned the crowd. No sign of you. A small frown formed at the corners of her mouth.
Caitlin nudged her. “Still thinking about her?”
Steph nodded slowly, eyes forward. “Yeah.”
///////////////////////////
An hour before kickoff, you arrived at the stadium. Caitlin had left your ticket at the media booth. After showing ID and collecting your wristband, you were escorted to the family and friends section. Jamie spotted you first and squealed, alerting your aunt and the McCabe family. You slid into your seat between Jamie and your aunt, quickly explaining the surprise. Then you opened your phone and snapped a photo of the pitch from your seat.
Stephy ❤️🐶
Missing my superstar like crazy 🥺 Go be a brick wall, my love. I am so proud of you and love you so, so, SO much. Muah 😘🤗
Not even a minute later, your phone buzzed with her reply. It made you smile—soft and stupid—but you held it in. Jamie would never let you live it down.
///////////////////////////
The game entered the second half, still 0–0. You saw Renée prepping substitutions—Stina was coming on. You clutched the armrest as Steph hurled herself into another tackle.
“Careful,” Jamie whispered, glancing at your white-knuckled grip. “You’ll rip it off.”
Then it happened. Beth received the ball, sliced through the defense, and fed it to Stina. She took the shot—and the ball soared past the keeper into the net. You looked to the sideline ref—no flag.
The goal stood.
Arsenal were beating Barcelona. You screamed and launched yourself into Jamie’s arms, tears in your eyes. As you looked back toward the pitch, you caught sight of Steph punching the air in celebration. She glanced toward your section. You turned your face away instinctively, not sure if she’d seen you.
The final whistle blew.
Arsenal had done it. Steph—your Steph—had beaten the three-time champions of Europe. You screamed, hugging anyone within reach: Jamie, your aunt, poor Lauren McCabe. Jamie wiped away your tears as you laughed through them.
On the pitch, Steph tied an Australian flag around her neck, smiling through the chaos of celebration. Families poured onto the field. Steph watched them all—parents, partners, children—and for a brief second, her heart ached.
Then, arms wrapped around her waist. A kiss pressed just below her ear.
“Surprise, baby.”
Steph spun around so fast you nearly got whiplash. Her eyes widened in disbelief.
“You lied to me.”
“I crossed an ocean for you.”
“I love you,” she whispered, brushing her lips against yours.
“I love you more, superstar.”
///////////////////////////
The celebration was in full swing. Jess Glynne had taken over as DJ—her own songs, of course—and Katie McCabe had definitely had one too many. The team laughed, danced, and vibed like a family. You stepped out onto the balcony to breathe, looking down at the city. People chanted below, cheering their team—unaware the champions were above, basking in it all.
Warm arms wrapped around your waist. A soft kiss landed on the back of your neck.
“What are you doing out here?” Steph murmured. “The party’s inside.”
“I just wanted you to enjoy it. You earned this. I didn’t want to get in the way.”
She rested her head on your shoulder in silence. Her arms tightened, as if anchoring herself to this moment—proof that you were really here.
“I have something for you,” you said, reaching into your back pocket.
Somehow, the envelope was still there. You handed it to Steph, who opened it immediately. Inside was everything you hadn’t been able to say on the phone. How proud you were. How far she’d come. How deeply you loved her. Steph held the letter like it was made of gold, as if the breeze might steal it from her. Her eyes glistened, but she blinked the tears away. She folded the letter carefully and tucked it into her small crossbody bag. Then she laced her fingers behind your neck, pressing your foreheads together.
“This was the best night of my life,” she whispered. “And not just because of the trophy.”

hello!! omg, I used to love sending in requests, but it’s been a while \(^ヮ^)/
I would like to request a SFW ff or oneshot (it doesn’t matter :) ) for Felix where he saw y/n for the first time in a while (or ever since high school) and she was performing in a small local band for the college festival/event and was like wow!! heart eyes heart eyes!! He used to have a big crush on her also! 😝 Just wanted to see how you come up with this ( ˘ ³˘)♥︎
Long Time No See

Summary: It had been years since Felix had last seen you. But while on break in Melbourne with Bangchan, the two came across a small fair held by a college in town. And the main center of attention wasn't them. It was you and a small band covering their songs that you had re-written in English. And Felix just couldn't stay away.
Pairing: Felix X Reader (F!)
Genre: Humor, Fluff (It's Felix I mean come on lol)
Word Count: 2.8K

The last time Felix had seen you was in Highschool.
You were the same year as him, a shy band nerd. You were heavily involved in anything music; playing in the pit for theatre, doing jazz bands, ensembles, and all sorts of choirs and singing stuff. It felt like any time he saw you, you always had something music going on. But he liked that.
Your friend groups were really different, but you two did get along when you had classes together. Always wearing your glasses, having to push them up your nose...it always got Felix's heart pumping. He always tried to partner with you on projects because of that. You were also really smart in certain subjects. If anything, it made you more attractive to him.
Unfortunately, the time you two had together grew short due to Felix going to Korea to become an idol. And while it made him a bit upset, he wanted to follow his dreams, too. And so, he left. And while he spent countless hours training and working hard to become an idol and one of eight members in Stray Kids, you had continued to go to school, and eventually to college.
But Felix hadn't seen you since.
Now, he was one of the most infamous. Everywhere he went, people knew him. He was Felix of Stray Kids; the one with the deep voice and the cute face. It's what he was known for. And after working for so long, he was finally on break with one of his fellow members, Bangchan.
They had gone home to Melbourne to spend time with their family, relax, and just do what they wanted. It was needed, and it was nice. Really nice. But today, he had gotten bored and wanted to go out with Chan. Just hang out as friends, and not band members who performed in stadiums.
And so, he called Chan.
"Hey, Felix! What's up?" Chan asked, Felix smiling as he heard his hyung's voice.
"Channie-hyung, I was wondering if you'd wanna go out and just walk around Melbourne."
"Yeah, sure! I actually heard that there was a fair going on at the University of Melbourne and wanted to check it out, but Lucas is out with friends, Hannah is in America, and my parents are busy with work."
"Oh, then we should go and check it out, see what's going on!"
"Definitely! I'll come get you later...around two work?"
"Yeah, that works."
And so, Felix got ready before meeting Chan outside, the two off to go to the University. And once they got there, they noticed just how busy it was. Turns out, there was a lot to check out.
There were competitions, games, food, art, and so many other things. Felix actually ended up buying gifts for all of the other members of Stray Kids, as there seemed to be something for everyone. He even got something for Chan, who turned the gift down. Felix...just slipped it into Chan's bag.
And as they walked around, they heard music coming from the plaza. And because they were idols, they just had to go and check it out. Sure enough, it was a small group of students from the music department playing some jazz tunes that they had written. It was pretty cool, if they were being honest. And after the group was done playing, another group appeared.
And there you were.
At first, Felix didn't recognize you. You weren't in glasses anymore, and your hair was a lot longer than what it used to be. But after a moment, Felix's eyes widened.
"No way..." He blinked, leaning his head forward as his eyes narrowed, almost as if his brain didn't believe what his eyes were seeing. But Chan? He had no clue what was going on.
"What? What is it?" Chan looked to Felix, then to the group as they set up, and then back to Felix, seeing his friend's face suddenly red. "Why are you suddenly so flustered, huh?"
"I...I went to school with that girl. The one with the guitar." Felix instantly pointed you out, only to see you laugh and smile as you grabbed the microphone, adjusting it to your height before doing a quick sound check.
"No way, really?" Chan asked, looking at you as you did the typical "check, check, check, 1-2-3". But it was only a second before Chan smiled, nudging Felix with his arm. "She's kinda cute..."
"Hyung, stop..." Felix just shoved Chan back, hearing him laugh. But his attention was back on you in an instant. You had so much more confidence than you did when you were in highschool. It's almost as if you managed to find yourself, and pick yourself up.
"Hello! Um, we're Wallflower, and today we're gonna be playing a few songs that we really learned to love by a group named Stray Kids." You greeted, smiling at the crowd that had gathered around. People cheered, clapping before you laughed nervously, continuing. "Oh, and they're all covers we've learned and translated, too. So you'll be able to understand them. Hopefully."
And with that, you looked to the keyboardist, nodding. And they were quick to play an opening both Felix and Chan recognized instantly.
"Twilight, huh?" Chan murmured. It wasn't an easy song, that was for sure. It was a song Han had written, for crying out loud. His songs weren't ever easy. And yet, with a gentle breath, you began.
"I think my day, Has grown shorter than everyone's... And your thoughts, Make my night come faster than the sun... I try to follow you, cause you left just by chance, Will you be waiting for me in the end? I still remember you warm words from back when Your eyes held all that sweet love just for me..."
Felix forgot how beautiful your voice was. It was so smooth and soft, having just a hint of a raspiness that made it irresistible. Even Chan whistled lowly, crossing his arms as his eyes widened slightly.
"Damn, she's good." Chan said, looking back to Felix. But what he saw was his friend in absolute awe.
"Yeah..." Felix trailed, watching you closely. He couldn't even take his eyes off of you. You were enchanting, from your voice to the way you looked around the crowed, to how your hands moved and played each lick of twilight perfectly.
And then, your eyes caught his. And it was like everything stopped for Felix. His cheeks burned red, unable to look away from your beautiful eyes. He half expected you to freak out, but you didn't. Instead, you smiled, and winked to him. Winked.
Felix swallowed in response.
After Twilight, your group played Limbo, then Cover Me, then a softer version of Unfair. You sang Felix's solo. And your voice fit it perfectly. From Unfair, your group played Youth and Hold My Hand as well before finishing up.
"Thanks again for coming everyone! You all have been amazing!" All of you bowed before heading off of the make-shift stage to pack up your things.
"Wow...they were really good." Chan commented, only to watch Felix just walk over to you. He just blinked, watching Felix leave before going after him. "Fe-Felix, wait for me, man!"
Felix just ignored him, walking up to you before tapping your shoulder. You had just been putting your guitar away, zipping the case up when you felt the tap, turning around to see Felix, Chan running up behind him.
"Um, hey. I-I don't know if you remember me, but--"
"How couldn't I remember you, Felix?" You just smiled, giggling a bit before continuing. "Honestly, I should be the one asking you that question."
"Oh...Oh yeah, I guess so--"
"Felix, come on! I asked for you to wait!" Chan interrupted Felix, making Felix whip around before bowing to him.
"Sorry, Hyung, I didn't mean to. I just...I wanted to come say hi to--"
"Ah, right. Your school mate, right?" Chan looked to you, smiling before offering his hand. "I'm Chan, though...I'm sure you knew that already. You are...?"
"I'm Y/n, and its an absolute honor to meet you." You replied, shaking Chan's hand.
"Ah, Y/n! You did an amazing job with your performance, the translations were really good, too. You should've seen Felix, he was awe-struck-"
"HYUNG!" Felix gave Chan a look that just said 'shut your trap before I punch you'. It only made Chan laugh and put a hand onto Felix's head.
"Right, right, sorry. I need to embarrass you at least a little bit." Chan said, smiling before looking to you. "I'll give you guys some space. I saw a booth I wanted to check out, anyways. Have fun, love birds!"
Felix was going to kill Chan.
You simply laughed, waving to Chan as he walked away, before looking to Felix. "So..."
"So..." Felix repeated. All of a sudden, it was awkward. Really awkward. Damn it all... Felix just cleared his throat, looking to you with an apologetic smile. "Sorry about him. He's like a dad. A really, really embarrassing one."
"Ah, don't worry about it. I found it funny." You replied, putting your arms behind your back. And then, you gestured to the side, smiling kindly to Felix. "So, do you wanna catch up a bit? Maybe grab a bite to eat?"
"Yeah, sure." Felix smiled to you, before the two of you headed on your way. You both decided to get some meat pies from the cooking club, sitting down before chatting about the simple things.
Felix told you about his training and the show Stray Kids did before debuting, all sorts of stories about the other members and what they were like outside of their idol image. And you shared stories about college and how your group came to be. And it was nice. Really nice.
"You know, I never expected you to go into music." You eventually spoke, taking a sip of your soda. "I mean, you always seemed like you were too cool for it, y'know?"
"Really?" Felix blinked, watching you nod. "But I was a dancer in high school."
"Yeah, but that's not the same as music." You leaned forward on your hand, tilting your head as you looked at him. "But hey, it puts your deep voice to good use. Have you seen the compilations of people reacting to it online?"
"Actually, yeah." Felix laughed a bit, drinking some of his own drink. "Granted, you've changed too."
"Not really..." You shrugged, watching Felix shake his head.
"Yes really. I mean, you don't wear glasses anymore."
"Well, they got annoying."
"And you're not as shy."
"Trust me, I am with new people."
"You weren't shy with Chan."
"But I was awkward."
"They aren't the same thing though."
"They're close enough."
"Well, the girl I knew from Highschool would've never performed songs that she translated on a stage in front of people."
"I had other people on stage with me, I don't get nervous when I'm with them."
"See, you said that in Highschool, and then you passed out from nerves when you had that solo that one choir concert."
"I--what? I didn't do that!" Your face flushed as Felix brought that up, the man only laughing as he saw your reaction.
"Did too! I was there, remember? All because you asked me to support you!"
"And then I told you to never bring that up again!" From there, you covered your face up, letting out an embarrassed groan. "God, it was so embarrassing..."
"Hey, it's not as embarrassing as ripping your pants. Or face planting into the stage floor while performing." Felix had a point. But after a second, your brows furrowed as you looked at him, raising a brow.
"Wait, but didn't all of that happen to Chan?"
"...don't...don't tell him I mentioned that."
"I'm SO gonna tell him you mentioned that."
"No, don't!" Felix just whined as he watched you laugh, Felix only leaning forward. "Seriously! Chan will kill me!"
"Okay, okay! I won't!" You giggled, wiping a tear from your eye before you looked to Felix, smiling to him. Felix just blinked, taking in your beauty for a moment before smiling.
"You know...I'm really happy you've come out of your shell." Felix said, watching as you ran a hand through your hair.
"Yeah...college really changes people." You said, your eyes soft. "But you've changed a lot, too."
"Not really..." Felix said, watching as you shook your head.
"Yes really." You then leaned forward on your hands again, looking into his eyes. "You aren't trying to force this cool guy facade anymore. You're a lot humbler now than you were, too. You're letting people see the real you. The you that I got to know."
That got Felix blushing. He didn't know why, but...your words were so sweet. Something that he knew he needed to hear.
"Oh...um...thanks." Felix bowed a bit to you, silence coming between you both for a moment. But then, you let out a sigh, smiling softly.
"You know...I kind of wish that we got to be closer back in Highschool." Your voice was a lot more sincere now. Felix didn't miss it in the slightest.
"Yeah...me too." And then, the next words just flowed right out of his mouth before he could even stop himself. "I wish that I had the courage to ask you out back then."
You blinked, freezing before looking at Felix. He looked like he hadn't even said that. Just...staring at the table with eyes that showed how he was thinking.
"What?"
"Yeah. I had a thing for you back then, y'know?" Felix then looked up at you, his smile soft. "But I wanted to pursue my dreams. So I did."
"I'm happy you did." You responded, your cheeks pink. Felix then looked at you, his eyes wide. "You seem happy. A lot happier than you used to be. I think in a sense...you found yourself, too."
"Yeah...Yeah, I did." Felix nodded, his eyes not leaving yours for a second. "But...I'd be a lot happier if you were in my life."
Once again, your eyes went wide, your heart beating fast. He...did he really just say that?
"You think so?"
"I know so." Felix smiled, reaching out to take your hand in his, interlacing your fingers together. His eyes watched your hands, before he looked back up at you. "Let me do what Highschool me didn't have the guts for, and take you out on a date tonight, yeah?"
You couldn't believe your ears. But...you couldn't help but nod, feeling shy now.
"Y-Yeah...I'd like that."
"Oh, thank god." Instantly, Felix let out a breath of relief, his hand relaxing more in yours. "I was so scared you were gonna say no...god, that was horrifying."
You just laughed, Felix watching you before laughing with you. And after a moment, you both stopped, your sweet voice speaking up. "You did good, though! You made me feel butterflies!"
"Really?" Felix smiled, his eyes filled with so much joy. "I was really trying my best, I mean...like, I didn't want to be cringey, but I also wanted to be charming, but not too charming. That would've been cringe worthy. Like, seriously cringey, and I wanted it to be good enough to where I wouldn't ruin my shot..."
And as Felix continued to ramble on and on, you just watched him, smiling with love in your eyes. He was so cute...even though he had practically swept you off of your feet moments ago.
"Felix..." You spoke, interrupting him. He looked at you, his eyes wide and his mouth slightly open. You just moved forward, going to land a kiss right onto his lips.
Instead, you missed, hitting his chin.
You blinked. Felix blinked. And then you both burst into laughter.
"I missed! I was trying to kiss your lips!" You laughed, Felix just bending forward as he practically wheezed. "That's so embarrassing, I'm sorry!"
"No, no, it was perfect!" Felix cackled, only to look up at you with a smile. And after you both calmed down, you gazed into each other's eyes, happy as can be.
"Can I try again?" You asked softly, Felix nodding. And as you leaned forward, you slowly closed your eyes, waiting for the impact until...
"Don't miss this time."
"Felix!" You just smacked his shoulder, making him laugh before going to cup your cheek.
"Sorry, sorry...here, I'll guide you." Felix said. And finally, the two of you met in the middle, sharing a soft, sweet kiss. It felt like the two of you set off fireworks, only the two of you in the world. And as you both pulled away, you didn't go far, keeping close as Felix spoke softly. "I'll come get you at seven tonight. Sound like a deal?"
You just nodded, putting your forehead onto his. "Deal."
One thing was for sure...neither of you could wait for tonight.

Hey! Firstly, thank you so much for reading this post, and I really hope you enjoyed! If you did, please like, reblog, or comment so I can see how I'm doing with writing and getting feedback! I hope you have a lovely day! Sleep well, stay in good health, and eat something if you haven't! ❤️❤️❤️

Meeting Esteban Ocon So I met Esteban for the first time in Abu Dhabi and then we worked together for the post-season test and then also we did TPC testing in Jerez so we've already spent quite a long time together on track. Then we did a training camp together end of January in Geneva so that was quite fun and I think we got to know each other on a personal level as well so I think that's a good start to the year. Embedding Esteban into the team I think because Esteban's already been in the paddock for a long time and the F1 paddock is like a big family, a lot of people already know him from past teams or something. So that obviously went quite easy and since we're a British team with British humour we integrate people quite well so that's never an issue and on things he's been taking from other teams with him I think there's some things he's still used to from Force India even but since we're a small team it's quite easy to implement changes very quickly. Key to relationship between Driver and Race Engineer It's actually been quite fun because the responsibilities completely change. I think performance engineer is actually quite a hard job in this team but you stay very much in your own bubble with your car. As a race engineer you obviously have to coordinate much more and just make decisions all the time so knowing what all the other groups are doing and how they work also the guys on the car helps a lot to just make better decisions so I think that was a big bonus for me to be a performance engineer in this team before. New role as Race Engineer It's actually been quite fun because the responsibilities completely change from a performance engineer. So I think the performance engineer job is actually very hard but you're kind of stuck in the bubble of your own car. So as a race engineer you just have to zoom out and make a lot of decisions, listen to a lot of people and organise a lot of stuff. But understanding how all of these groups work, the guys on the car but also the people who focus on car performance helps you a lot to just make better decisions. Pre-season testing So obviously we have two new drivers and also the key people, loads of key people have changed. So I think their focus was mostly on integrating all the key people and improving communication amongst each other. And obviously also we're focusing on getting the most out of the car we've built. And I think so far not just in Bahrain but also the filming day in Silverstone and even TPC testing in Jerez, I think we've definitely achieved that and made good progress. Personal lessons Personally I've learnt a lot how to communicate better with Esteban and how we get the most out of each other. But also working with the team and understanding which course to make to the mechanics. That's, I think, been my biggest takeaway. Expectations going into Melbourne I think I never really have expectations and also we won't know until qualifying or even the race, but so far I think there's nothing saying we can't be on par with our performance last year or even improve from that, so I'm quite positive. Becoming First Female Race Engineer in Formula 1 Personally, I just want to focus on doing a good job and getting the best out of the team and the car. For me, being the first female race engineer in F1 is actually quite sad, but I think the problem with that is just representation. So if my face being on TV can make girls and young women think they can achieve this too, I'm actually quite happy.

My Job is Beach ... - Valtteri Bottas x ItalianOlympicBeachVolleyball! Reader
Plot: You spend time with your boyfriend after the Australian GP doing what you do best, Beach Barbie and Beach Ken

Valtteri had an incredible race, him and Lewis both in a fantastic car as fantastic drivers. And you’d luckily been there to celebrate with him.
You loved going to Australia with him, it was so warm at the time of year the race was and it meant you got to go to the beach.
Which of course was one of your favourite things. Growing up in a small coastal town in Italy, meant you were at the beach pretty much all the time. You went there before school, after school, on the weekends. Even during school, your school was right next to a beach which is where you picked up your sport.
At first it was just for fun, like most hobbies start of as.
But after playing in some matches against others schools across Italy, your teacher and parents realised there was something special there.
You didn’t see it or get it, you just loved the beach do anything you did there was fun to you.
So of course they ended up getting you a coach. Someone who was willing to privately train you and get you into better teams in Italy.
In 2016 you competed in Brazil. Rio De Janeiro was an incredible place and it’s actually where you met Valtteri.
He and a few of the drivers had ended up coming to watch some of the Olympics and you’d bumped into him on the beach with Lewis.
You’d recognised both of them straight away, and struck up a conversation with them.
“Oh! Your Valtteri Bottas! And Your Felipe Massa!” You’d exclaimed at the men and they’d awkwardly nodded thinking you were a fan wanting a picture or autograph.
“What are you guys here for?” You ask, knowing that the race this year wasn’t until November. They were in summer break right now.
“Oh, we are here for the Olympics. We got invited” Felipe admits and you grin.
“Oh, I’m here for them too!” You grin.
“Oh yeah, you here to watch any sport in particular?” Valtteri asked.
“Watch? No im one of the beach volleyballers! Team Italia” You smile.
And the rest was history after that. You and Valtteri got together and he got a promotion to Mercedes after Nico Rosberg left the sport.
It was early the next day, the Monday after the race and you and Valtteri were still shacked up in Australia. You wanted to spend some more time here travelling to your favourite Aussie beaches.
So you took the 1hour flight from Melbourne to Sydney so that you were on Bondi beach. You guys had rented out a place close to the coast for easy access.
You guys were with a few friends, some of Valtteri and some of yours. Somehow your friendship groups just mixed together well. You were both apprehensive at first but realised after a house party that it was fine, the language barrier at first was a little awkward but English being a common ground for most of the group worked.
“Amore mio, please come join us! Then I promise you we will go on a bike ride!” You say cuddling up to him… you’d just finished unpacking and he was laying on the bed cuddling up to you.
“Im no good. And I just embarrass myself Rakas” he sighs pulling you into him and kissing all over your face affectionately making you giggle.
At first Valtteri was very shy when it came to showing you any level of affection and your overly affectionate side thanks to your large Italian family upbringing was very overwhelming to him at first.
But soon he learnt it was your love language and the more confident he got, the clingier he got.
“It’s meant to be for fun! You don’t have to be good at it” you giggle running your finger through his hair as he looks up at you.
“But all your friends are so good!” He exclaims sitting up.
“Mmmm and now you know how I feel when you take me karting!” You laugh knowing you have the bruises to prove just how bad you were at the sport.
“Okay okay fine. But just because I love you!” He says in that gruff lower voice.
You guys play beach volleyball for the majority of the morning until the suns at full peak.
“Barbecue sulla spiaggia?” One of your friends suggest whose English wasn’t great, especially when she was tired after a long morning of playing volleyball, in the sand and under the hot Australian sun.
“She suggested a Rantagrilli?” You say trying your best to translate for Valtteri and his friends who wouldn’t have understood the Italian.
You weren’t allowed to do this on Bondi but closer to where your beach Villa was, you knew you’d be able to cook on the beach there as it was private to the Villa.
They all nod eagerly and before you know it, you guys are using two barbecue for the amount of people you are cooking for. One that’s on the back garden of the beach villa and then one that was already in the sand.
You guys spent lunch munching on burgers and salad, and chicken and hot dog. It was for sure a chest day for all of you, most of you guys being athletes and being on strict diets.
After you’d spent the afternoon cuddling with Valtteri on the beach letting lunch go down, you both went out for a bike ride. He of course had chosen the longest and steepest route to take, meaning you came back drenched in sweat and cursing at Valtteri for making you endure that.
"I want a Dolce Sorpresa!" you groan your head leaning against him and he looks at you.
"A what?" he asks. You'd learnt a little Finnish for him but he still struggled with some of you little idioms.
"Sweet Treat, I'm craving Boba, I saw a shop on the way back!" you grin, kissing him before taking his hand to drag him to the Boba Tea shop!
"Then, can we go to the beach again?" you ask.
"You just love the beach don't you!" he smiles.
"Mmmmmm, my job is literally beach..." you giggle.

Welcome to the Blatantly Partisan Party Reviews: 2025 Australian federal election edition
I’ve already published one edition of the Blatantly Partisan Party Reviews for 2025, the WA state election; now, we turn to an even bigger electoral event, the Australian federal poll. A decade ago, with lax registration laws and the possibility of scoring a Senator off a minuscule vote thanks to the undemocratic distortions of Group Ticket Voting, a dizzying number of parties cluttered the ballot nationwide with misleading names and fringe platforms. Senate voting has now been reformed so that preferences only go where voters themselves direct them, and tighter enrolment laws have removed many chancers from the party register of the Australian Electoral Commission.
This year, I will be reviewing almost all parties contesting the election nationwide. I do not review Labor, the Liberal/National Coalition parties, or the Greens, because if you’re reading this blog you almost certainly know what you think about those parties. I have not yet decided if I will include One Nation in this edition. Otherwise, I am seeking to cover all registered parties who are fielding candidates, whether nationally or in just one state, and I will do my best to identify individuals standing nominally as independents but who represent an unregistered party. I will also cover independents contesting the Senate in Western Australia, where I live and vote; if I have time, I will cover any that catch my eye elsewhere (particularly Victoria, as I still think of Melbourne as “home”).
Time for my usual disclaimers: I am not, nor have I ever been, a member of a political party. I review from the perspective of a small-g green democratic socialist. I am trained and work as a political historian of Australia and New Zealand. This background guides my reviews, which originated as—and remain—notes to inform my own vote. I do not aim for any false neutrality or objectivity, and I share these remarks in the hope they are useful to others trying to navigate Australia’s plethora of micro-parties. It should be obvious but these are my personal opinions, which should not be construed as representing the views of my employer nor of any other organisation with which I am affiliated.
I am, of course, not alone in reviewing parties. Leading psephologist Kevin Bonham has already released his rundown of Tasmanian Senate candidates. The b_auspol blog will review the parties and independents that are contesting the Senate in NSW and, if the past is any guide, those reviews are certain to be smarter and more clear-eyed than mine. And Something for Cate is a blog continuing the thoughtful election-reviewing traditions of deeply-missed Catherine of Cate Speaks; it has been three years since we lost Cate and election season still feels empty without her, but I am so glad her legacy endures.
If you are unsure how to cast a ballot, Patrick Alexander has two handy explainers: you can’t waste your vote for the House of Representatives and what’s the go with voting for the Senate?
I will start posting reviews tomorrow. Early voting begins on Tuesday 22 April and I want to post as many reviews as possible by then. Each review concludes with a recommendation. Before I explain this, I should clarify that in the House of Representatives (small green ballot), you must number every square; in the Senate (large white ballot), you must number 1–6 above the line or 1–12 below the line, and then distribute further preferences if you want. I recommend giving full preferences in the Senate because failing to number all boxes weakens the power of your vote. The more preferences you give, the more powerful your vote is; it will stay in the count longer.
Here is my recommendation system for this year:
Good preference: a party with a positive overall platform that has few or no significant flaws for the left-wing voter.
Decent preference: a party with a generally positive overall platform but I have some reservations; or, a single-issue party with a good objective but by definition too limited in their scope to encompass the fullness of parliamentary business.
Middling preference: a party with a balance of positive and negative qualities, or a party with a decent platform undermined by a notably terrible policy or characteristic.
Weak or no preference: a party with more negatives than positives. In the House of Representatives, put these parties as low as possible. In the Senate, I recommend you do likewise to maximise the potential power of your vote; but I recognise that some of you prefer not to express preferences between varying gradations of undesirability or prefer not to rank the most odious parties.
This schema is flexible; I may, for instance, suggest a “middling to decent preference”.
Stay tuned for those very partisan reviews!

The last time I saw Lando was a few days ago, even after the tennis final, a blond-haired whore didn't get off him, but in the end, in a strange way, Holge told him to leave him alone, he's probably going home now, just as he'll have time to pack his stuff and take the dog, and then he'll go train for the race. Well, I think the roommate stopped there to say that it was a dog, and so did I. "Where did he get it from?" "Guards took in the beauty from a shelter." ,,Beauty? A girl? Damn, didn't he have enough Uno? Now he has another one pulled up next to him, I'm talking to him. don't send him anywhere just friends. I don't know what's wrong with him in Melbourne, he even took a pregnancy test and told me that he might be pregnant because he missed it." "Kids, stop, there's worse! By the way, hello, mother will cut off him ears and eardrums for this." ,,Cic hello! He's crazy since he says he's pregnant." ,.He says so? He's really pregnant, he seems to be taking a minimum, he's trying to cover up what he told Max and Pietra, Max's reaction I'd rather drive your sports car before the fetus gets hurt, even though he already knew Pietra froze, I was there Callum couldn't bear to spit and swallow, he just blinked when he found out that the boys they can also be pregnant."
"What the hell??? I got my ears pierced???? Where do you get this from again????” I looked at the secret chat group on my cell phone and it was full of people arguing about it, sometimes jokingly, sometimes seriously, the older ones seriously, how to take it out, it doesn't look good, the ones my age are jokingly, it's very good. Only I knew the answer to this, I took a photo and wrote it down, it's a fucking pimple that grew in the wrong place, stop it, it hurts and it's big, and this fucking breast is embarrassing, that's why I'm constantly wearing a fish tank because it's bothering me. "Honey, why are you angry? That's when you're cute, right?" Loki lay next to me and caressed my upper arm, then he lay on his side and looked at me. "There's gas, everyone's focused on my hormonal acne and they think I've pierced my ears." "Are these normal? Who was?" My sister, "Well, if it was meant as a joke, it wasn't a good joke." I lowered my head and asked Loki for a sad kiss, which came in handy as the twins were very fond of each other, but one of them resisted. When Doctor Yin told me, I burst into tears, I'm not a big cryer, but we really expected them to be sick, but they felt this was a trick and that's all I told Max, he didn't take it well last time.
"Well, it's getting weirder, it's not a pimple, it's a piercing." I hung up the phone after I wrote back so that he could finally do the truth about this shit, because he sure did. em acne because I had it too, I don't even admit it, it's fucking embarrassing and sometimes it hurts, this is how life has to be put up with. "Oscar, what's wrong? I know you shouldn't tell your girlfriend everything, but I can tell you everything." "What the hell is this?" I looked at my picture, it looked like a small tattoo that one's child plays pranks on after a drunken night. "I think an embarrassing tattoo that you can get drunk on guys is the slut tattoo." "Maybe this will be fucking new to you, but Lando is pregnant, you American bastard!!!! This isn't the series How I Met Your mother, you stupid person."

,,What??? They're getting dumber. Loki You have to see this.” I admit, yes, I have a bitch tattoo, but I did it last year on New Year's Eve, drunk in Bali, not exactly legally, and sometimes it can hurt during the day, and I also have a navel piercing. I was sixteen when I did this out of rebellion with a group of friends, so I don't keep in touch with any of them anymore, they became exterminating jerks when it turned out that I was gay. That I'm smitten with the ex of the mistress, who is a boy and right, we went to an art history and finally got together. Berdon is my first boyfriend. and the first boyfriend I told that I love him, so far I told a boy named Alex. It all ended badly, it was written in the lyrics when I heard the first one from him, I could sob for hours, but I wasn't the stupid one as it is, he was because he cheated on me with another boy.
I caressed Lando, it was very nice the last few days, especially the girl, what's in him ear? He thinks the girl talked to him, a fucking bitch, even a WAG, and it would be shit, the dog and mine, I don't understand what's the trial lesson in chat, it's secret I'm in the WAG chat and the problem is how big I wrote that my daughter and a beauty should be called I'm hoping for a baby... The air here is also freezing, a lot of questions from who is pregnant... I wrote from Lando Ollie Bearmann... Freezing... But Lando boy questions... Answer In one word, he's not intersex and he told me he'd already given birth and ended up in a bad place because of him father... Anger...He was still a teenager then but he could have done it but him father wouldn't let him, now he's an adult he feels he can do it and leaves him alone and he wouldn't want him there it would be only the mother when the little one was born. ,,I'm trying to stop here too, but Kelly..." I kissed him hair and sniffed the poor thing because it was more and more obvious that he was pregnant, but it didn't bother the cameras, and the fact that he's with a boy instead of a girl, which freaks out the girl fans even more, is lately, the poor thing just cries, I can hardly comfort him, I even brought my dog beauty to make him happier, but not as often as he goes out on the street, the paparazzis are screaming after him, where is the beautiful girl Norris. "It doesn't work for me, I prefer to cover myself and myself on the weekend. This is not a situation. I always knew that I loved boys and not girls. It's bullshit what they write about me."

Jane is in Northcote in Melbourne’s north to meet a group of people who are honouring a friend’s memory by turning a neglected patch of ground beside a railway into a thriving garden.
There is a large apple tree in the centre surrounded by plants that were chosen to survive without being watered. Volunteers meet once a month for maintenance.
Many plants were donated, such as a Wigandia.
A scented geranium by a path gives off a lovely smell when people brush past it.
The garden was originally run by a gardening group but became a bit run-down. Much of the work to create the present perennial dry garden was done by late local resident Louise Tinney. To water new plants in, water was brought in by hand in old milk bottles, carted in old shopping trolleys.
Stick fences mark new plants to give them some protection.
Louise was also a great people wrangler, and roped in passers by to help water plants or get involved in planting.
Louise passed away in 2021 and the garden is now being tended by a group of committed locals and family members who are making sure her legacy lives on.
Louise’s daughter Miranda brings her own infant daughter to the garden. Louise’s younger sister Fiona is also part of the volunteer team.
While the garden started with a lot of exotic perennials, the group is now incorporating a lot of indigenous and other native plants.
In 2019 the garden became part of the Stationeers program, run by Keep Australian Beautiful Vic to encourage locals to get involved in beautifying VicTrack-owned land around train stations. There are now 60 station precincts being cared for by volunteers.
A major maintenance task is pruning – volunteer Jane Miller calls it wallaby pruning as it mimics the small but regular nibbling of outer leaves that a wallaby would do.
But the volunteers say they always make time for cake, too!
Featured plants:
Apple (Malus cv.)
Wigandia (Wigandia sp.)
Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus ‘Milkmaid’)
Jerusalem safe (Phlomis fruticosa cv.)
Scented geranium (Pelargonium cv.)
Pine banksia (Banksia tricuspis)
Kangaroo grass (Themeda triandra)
Pigface (Carpobrotus cv.)
Creeping wire vine (Muehlenbeckia axillaris)
Filmed on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country in Northcote, Vic

Days 4-6, 28-30 June
Day 4 Saturday, 28 June
The view from our window and inside our apartment as we sold it.
We intended to have a gentler day today to allow our feet and hips some rest, but it didn’t quite work as planned. We only walked about four kilometres, but we still arrived home weary and quite a bit sore.
After our puzzles in bed, we walked up to the El Alamein Square markets for a stroll around and breakfast - gozlemes, one of our favourites. It seemed that we were almost the only people there who didn’t have a dog or two wrapping their leashes around everyone else’s legs. We reacquainted ourselves with some of our old haunts and then walked down to the station and took the train/s to Circular Quay, and then the ferry to Manly where we strolled near the beach area but never went up into the busy part of town.
We shared a very expensive, very poor-quality pizza and a couple of drinks on the wharf – the restaurant wasn’t called Felons for nothing! – before taking the ferry back to the Quay and then hopping on another one to ride around the inner harbour to Cockatoo Island and back.
(There had not been a lot of patrons at Felons – as many dogs as people – and I saw one group of three who sat at a bench seat but purloined six chairs from nearby tables to form a protective circle for their three small dogs, their three dog-beds, and several bags of toys. Dogs are certainly given more priority than humans up here - not that Melbourne is much better.)
I had spent a lot of time on our ferry rides trying to set up auto top-ups on our Opal cards without success so once we returned to the Quay, we spend another half hour doing individual top-ups on the only machine that seemed to work in the area. By then, we really needed to rest so caught the trains back to Kings Cross and had a drink before staggering down to Woolworths to buy some dinner to eat at home.
We had a drink or two and a rest before a surprisingly enjoyable dinner and then booked an exotic lunch and dinner to celebrate our forty-year anniversary together.
Day 5 Sunday, 29 June
We stayed local today. We did a few things first up after breakfast and then went out to check out some local restaurants for our anniversary because the logistics of getting to the ones we had booked were just too hard. We have cancelled them but still haven’t decided on alternatives – maybe tomorrow morning.
We bought a variety of things across the street for lunch and then walked down to one of our favourite parks immediately below our apartment. It is quite small but really lovely and we have enjoyed many visits before today. It is called McElone Park and is across the road from the original Elizabeth Bay House – very historic and a listed National Trust property, but not one that excites us as much as the Park.

From our window - McElone Park in foreground, Beare Park behind

McElone Park

Our apartment (arrowed) from McElone Park
We just sat and soaked up the beauty and the sunshine for a while then meandered down to our other favourite park in the area - Beare Park right at the Elizabeth Bay harbour wall. We have spent many hours there over the years, particularly at night when it is quite romantic watching the waves and listening to the lines on the yachts tapping musically on the masts – a very evocative sound for us.

Beare Park
Today, the park was well patronised with as many dogs as people. Dogs are strictly required to be on-leash in the park but not a single leash was in sight – just dozens of the vermin running wild. No wonder the usual array of birds was almost completely absent.
We ate our lunch and read and did more puzzles for a couple of hours before trudging back up the steep Ithica Road hill and eventually back home.
I wrote a bit more, including some bits for my blog while Heather dozed. We knocked off a few more puzzles together and figured out how to operate the free to air TV. We watched the News (boring!) and ate dinner, then watched another hour or two before making it to bed.
It was a very pleasant day and perhaps not quite as strenuous as the last few, but with some steep hills and circuitous routes to make it a bit more stressful than expected.
Day 6 Monday, 30 June
It was a bit more relaxing today, but we still never sat on our hands all day.
We had a chat with Susan, the manager here, who we know well from when we owned our pad/apartment here a decade ago, and she filled us in with some of the gossip.
Our apartment is number 704 and we have discovered that apartment 702 is currently on the market. The woman who purchased it a few months ago has encountered some serious family issues and needs the money so is simply trying to recover what she paid for it. (I think Susan said her daughter is very sick and they need to money to pay for her medical bills). She paid $515,000 for it and that is what she is asking now, but apartment 705 (next to ours with the same aspect) recently sold for $600,000. It is interesting to note that all the advertising for #702 includes photographs taken from our old window – the views from #702 are facing north and are definitely not as good as ours. Ray White has been known for false advertising before today!
Susan told us about Council’s changed requirements about façade cladding, and it looks like costing a lot of money to replace it all, so maybe it is a good thing that we sold when we did. Shortly before we sold, Council changed the old rules about cladding, and we had to contribute to a million-dollar levy to fund its replacement – and now the rules are being changed again and a new special levy to fund that will probably be at least twice that – and the Body Corporate has already spent more than $100,000 building a model that proves Council’s requirements are rubbish. The legal fees to fight Council about its new requirements are probably double that. It seems strange that this will be the third time Council is demanding that the owners replace the cladding the Council itself approved each previous time.
She also said that the building being erected outside our window will result in the lower four floors of the building losing their views altogether – their property values will fall by at least $100,000, possibly double that! There were huge protests before Council approved the development, and they have done so for at least four other properties in the immediate vicinity and as we have wandered around, we have seen where at least four grand old places have been demolished and ultra-ugly boxes are being built in their place. Sydney has no sense of history or good architecture – even worse than in Melbourne.
We then strolled along Victoria Street looking for a decent restaurant, but the area has changed greatly and none of the few remaining eateries appealed to us at all.
We then took the bus out to Watson’s Bay and sat near The Gap and enjoyed the sun for a while before going down to the ferry terminal to watch a much gentler view of the harbour – from The Gap, wild and raw turmoil, to the softly lapping wavelets inside the bay.

Heather at The Gap and me at Gap
We had fish and chips at Doyle’s for lunch and caught a ferry back to the Quay. We were going to head for home, but a Bondi Beach bus turned up and on the spur of the moment, we jumped on and rode out to the beach and back as far as Taylor Square where we changed buses and were soon home again. It had been a very pleasant day, relatively relaxing, just moseying along and enjoying another beautiful day. We have had perfect weather so far, but they are promising violent weather over the next few days so we made the most of it while we could.
We went out to dinner with Ingvars and Vita at the place where we ate last Thursday, two doors up the street from our hotel. Heather worked with Ingvars for a few years, and we always stay in touch with them. Their two daughters were just tots when we knew them in Melbourne, but they are now 22 and 26 with degrees and out in the world on their own. Ingvars and Vita are special people, and we spent a great few hours with them. They came up for drinks and nibbles before we went to the restaurant and it was a really wonderful evening.

Why Parents Love Early Childhood Music Classes Melbourne

Why Parents Love Early Childhood Music Classes in Melbourne
Parents in Melbourne love early childhood music classes. These classes are fun. They help children grow. They help parents too. This article explains why.
It also shows why parents choose:
early childhood music and movement
early childhood music therapy
music with preschoolers
early childhood music development
early childhood music program
music and early childhood development
Early Childhood Music Classes
Early childhood music classes are for young children. They are for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. The classes have singing, rhythm instruments, and dancing. They mix play and learning.
In Melbourne, parents love how classes include parents or caregivers. A program like Music Together or Kindermusik has singing and play with parents in class. This makes learning stronger. Children learn best when parents are active in class.
Early Childhood Music and Movement
Music and movement go together. These help children learn their bodies. They help with balance and coordination.
One method is Dalcroze eurhythmics. It uses movement to teach rhythm and music. Studies show that kids who move in music do better at rhythm skills than just those who play freely .
Movement also helps the brain. When children move and listen, they use many brain areas. These areas help with thinking and learning.
Early Childhood Music Therapy
Some children need extra help. They may find talking hard. They may have delays or special needs. These children benefit from early childhood music therapy.
Music therapy uses singing. It uses rhythm. It uses instruments. It is guided by a trained therapist. The therapist helps children reach goals in social, emotional, or speech areas .
Parents say these classes help children express feelings. They help children learn new words. They help families bond. All through song and play.
Music with Preschoolers
At preschool age, children learn to do more on their own. Music classes help with this. They give a group space to share, wait for turns, and speak up.
Parents in Melbourne like watching their child lead a song. Or play a small instrument. Or dance with friends.
These lessons help with memory too. Preschool children learn song words. They learn rhythm patterns. This helps later with reading and math concepts .
Early Childhood Music Development
From birth to age five, music helps the brain grow fast. It helps with memory. It helps with listening. It helps with language and thinking.
Children learn patterns and memory. This helps with reading and counting .
Children get better at hearing tones and differences. This helps with language skills .
Movement with music builds motor skills. Both big and small muscles get stronger .
When children play music or dance, many brain parts talk to each other. This helps thinking overall .

From Fear to Fluency: How My Students Conquered Hindi & English in Just 3 Months
Hi, I’m Shruti Kamakshi, founder of Shruti Kamakshi Tutoring, a bilingual online tutoring platform based in Chennai, offering personalized Hindi and English classes to students, professionals, and NRIs across the globe.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with so many learners who started out terrified of speaking, reading, or writing in Hindi or English.
Some were school students who had failed their exams. Some were working professionals who couldn’t speak confidently in meetings. And many were NRIs or South Indian families who felt left out because of language gaps.
But today? Many of those same people speak fluently, write clearly, and most importantly — feel confident.
✨ The Transformation I Witnessed in Just 3 Months
Here are a few quick stories that will stay with me forever:
🟡 Megha, Class 10, Chennai: She had scored 42 in Hindi the previous year. After 12 weeks with our grammar-focused training, she scored 91 in her boards — and now helps her friends!
🟡 Raj, IT Professional in Bangalore: Couldn’t speak two sentences in English without switching to Tamil. After joining our weekday spoken English sessions, he presented a full product demo to US clients — in English.
🟡 The Iyer Family in Melbourne: This lovely NRI family joined my weekend Hindi class as a group. None of them could read or write Hindi before. By month three, they were doing small role plays — in Hindi!
🔑 What Made the Difference?
👉 Personalized, bilingual teaching 👉 Grammar-first but stress-free approach 👉 Practice every week – no fear of being wrong 👉 Affordable pricing: just ₹200 per hour 👉 Live online sessions with flexible timings 👉 Encouragement, feedback, and lots of real-life conversation drills
💬 What My Students Say

"After failing twice in Hindi, I had lost hope. Now, it’s my highest-scoring subject!" – Sneha, CBSE Student
"My 8-year-old and I now watch Hindi cartoons together and understand them!" – Divya, NRI Parent in UK

💛 Final Thought from Me
Fluency isn’t about being perfect — it’s about being brave enough to begin.
If my students could go from fear to fluency in just three months, so can you. You don’t need to be a grammar expert or a born speaker. You just need the right support — and I promise, that’s what we’re here for.
Let’s learn, grow, and speak confidently — together.
Warmly, – Shruti Kamakshi

Nijjar Punjabi Singer Biography: From Village Roots to Music Stardom
In the vibrant universe of Punjabi music, where beats meet soul and lyrics speak louder than words, one name is carving a bold path—Nijjar. Known for his powerful vocals, relatable lyrics, and swag-infused Punjabi hip-hop style, Harinder Singh Nijjar—popularly known simply as Nijjar—is not just a singer but a rising star rewriting the rules of desi music. But behind the glam of stage lights and millions of YouTube views lies a humble, inspiring journey that began in a small village and continues to echo across continents.
The Roots: A Village Boy with Big Dreams
Born and raised in a quiet village in Punjab, Nijjar grew up surrounded by fields, folk tunes, and the rhythm of rural life. His early years were shaped by simplicity, strong family values, and the unmistakable influence of Punjabi culture. Like many young boys in Punjab, he grew up listening to legends like Gurdas Maan, Sidhu Moosewala, Diljit Dosanjh, and Bohemia—but there was something different about him. He didn’t just want to listen to music; he wanted to create it.
Despite limited resources, Nijjar nurtured his passion for music from an early age. Whether it was performing at school functions, writing raw Punjabi verses in his notebooks, or rapping with his friends in the local lanes, music flowed through his veins.
Early Struggles: Chasing the Mic with No Map
Nijjar’s journey was far from easy. Like many independent artists, he faced the classic hurdles—lack of financial support, no professional music training, and a competitive industry that often favors the well-connected. But he had something stronger than all those obstacles: unshakeable belief in his craft.
He began recording basic tracks at local studios, often spending whatever he earned from part-time jobs to fund his sessions. Social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Spotify became his stage. Every song, every reel, every video was an attempt to reach one more listener, to win one more heart. And it worked.
The Breakthrough: Nijjar's First Hits
Nijjar’s real breakthrough came with songs like "Kaim", "Kneel", and "Cannabis", which quickly caught the attention of Punjabi youth across the globe. His unique blend of hip-hop attitude, desi lyrics, and stylish visuals made him a standout artist.
What sets Nijjar apart is his ability to connect with both the urban listener and the desi-at-heart fan. Whether it’s the swaggy vibes of "Yo Fam" or the emotional pull of "Das Kyu", Nijjar knows how to ride a beat and deliver emotion with impact.
His tracks didn’t just trend—they started defining trends. Fans from Toronto to Chandigarh, Dubai to Melbourne, began quoting his lyrics and copying his look.
Rise to Fame: Hits That Defined His Career
Nijjar’s discography includes songs that have topped streaming charts and gone viral across social media platforms:
"Accounts" (feat. Yo Yo Honey Singh) – The track that blew up his popularity, blending swagger with a powerhouse collaboration.
"Off Da Scale" – A high-energy anthem that quickly racked up millions of views and became a global Punjabi youth favorite.
"Bhabhi" – A catchy and emotional track that resonated widely with fans of all age groups.
"Kneel" (feat. Gurlez Akhtar) – A fiery duet showcasing Nijjar’s lyrical agility and Gurlez Akhtar’s strong vocals.
"Kaim" – A 2025 release that's already trending on YouTube, representing the next phase of Nijjar's artistic evolution.
These songs are more than music—they're anthems for a generation that balances tradition with ambition.
Artistry: What Makes Nijjar Different
Nijjar is more than just a Punjabi singer—he’s a multi-dimensional artist. His songs blend genres like trap, R&B, and Punjabi folk, creating a sound that’s both modern and deeply rooted. He writes most of his own lyrics, drawing from personal experiences, society, and the Punjabi lifestyle.
His hair style, fashion sense, and stage presence have also become signature trademarks, making him a youth icon among Gen Z Punjabi listeners. Whether in music videos or live shows, Nijjar oozes charisma, blending tradition and trend with effortless swag.
Collaborations and Upcoming Projects
As Nijjar’s popularity grows, so does his circle of collaborators. He has shared creative spaces with Punjabi music producers, rappers, and beatmakers, further evolving his sound.
With upcoming songs in 2025, teaser drops, and rumored collaborations, Nijjar fans have a lot to look forward to. Tracks like "Off Da Scale", "Jatt Bina", and "Drum" are just the beginning of a bigger wave.
He’s also stepping into live concerts, having performed for desi crowds across Canada, UK, and Australia, turning local shows into global celebrations.
Global Fanbase and Digital Dominance
Thanks to his digital-first approach, Nijjar has built a loyal fanbase across platforms like:
YouTube (Official Channel: Nijjar Music)
Spotify
Instagram (@nijjarofficial)
Apple Music & Gaana
His videos gather millions of views, and his reels and shorts trend weekly, proving that Nijjar isn’t just an artist—he’s a brand in the making.
Conclusion: From Roots to Rise
Nijjar’s story is a testament to the power of passion, persistence, and purpose. From a village boy writing lyrics under the stars to becoming one of the most talked-about names in Punjabi music, his journey inspires a generation.
As the Punjabi music scene continues to evolve, artists like Nijjar are not just riding the wave—they’re making their own.
So, whether you're a die-hard fan or a curious listener, one thing is certain: Nijjar is a name you’ll hear again and again—in playlists, in conversations, and in the history of modern Punjabi music.
