Weiss, Day 1, Part 1

I don't know Skye thinks much of dirty jokes, but he thinks a lot of anything his children do.

Penny: Daddy! Woody! Breakfast's ready!

Skye: Sorry, sweetheart - I have to go to work.

Woody: Spaghettios, again?

Penny: I had a notion for them - hmm, maybe that's pregnancy cravings, I should log that... You know you're supposed to bring the spoon to your face, not the bowl? Of course, that's only what's considered polite table manners in this culture - probably in some others you're supposed to eat like that... I should ask Lazlo's brother-in-law what table manners were on his planet.

Penny: I hear they're building a new university, between here and Strangetown. It should be ready about the time you graduate high school - if you work hard, you could go and study whatever you want!

Woody: You mean whatever you want.

Penny: Of course I'm not going to tell you what you should study! That's your decision... although if you want suggestions, I've got a few - then you could come home and tell me all about it!

Woody: That's the bus stopping at the Land place. I should go. Thanks for breakfast, Penny.

Penny: You're welcome, honey. Don't forget your bag!

Pop! So much data to update!

Penny: Junior! Come in, come in - although I'm just about to take a nap. You could watch me and make notes for me about how well I sleep, if you like? I tried to get proper sleep tracking equipment, but it's not readily available unless you're a doctor - hey, maybe I should become a doctor?

Junior: I'll come in, but I'm not watching you sleep - that's weird.

Penny: Hi! You must be from Strangetown! I'm Penny Weiss, and obviously I don't usually greet visitors in my pyjamas, but I'm pregnant so I'm sleeping a lot.

Circe: Yeah, I'm from Strangetown - Dr Circe Beaker.

Penny: A doctor! I was just saying I wonder if I'd like to be a doctor! What kind of doctor are you? Do you have any equipment for tracking sleep I could borrow?

On Friday morning at the Observatory, Penny got her menfolk off to school, wrote up some data, greeted Junior, took a nap, greeted Circe, and then went out for a walk.

(I think this version of Penny is going to exhaust me typing up her dialogue!)

VeronaHills, Round Nine: Weiss

Skye wanted the vision of Penny in a white dress under an arch of flowers to be his last memory, ill health be damned.

Becoming bedridden and lung-stricken was an unwelcome change for a man who had previously hiked hills and lapped lakes. He was humbled be helped to his feet by his son-in-law to-be, all handsome in a crisp white suit with lemon trimmings. "Can I borrow your rose pin?" Cyd asked, and Skye obliged, adding the 'something borrowed' to the suit lapel. The 'something blue' would be the inspiration for Skye's name showing up cloudless to his daughter's special day - it simply had to.

The journey up to the ruins had Skye being carried by Cyd, with his hand held by Penny all the way. A spring rain the night before had rendered the path softer and muddier than hoped - but, when the group met the clearing, dirt fell away from the whites of the bride and groom, sweat disappeared from their brows, and leaves sprouted from Penny's scalp in seconds. She was beaming, which made Skye smile too, even as his bones cried out for rest.

"The hot spring," Penny suggested. "You can watch us from there."

Even in a ground-length gown, she still helped lower Skye into the soothing water. He realised with a close-up view that the yellow embroidery on her dress matched the shade of Cyd's bowtie, waistcoat and pocket square. The sway of the pattern also alluded to the vines that twirled and danced over her lush faerie skin.

"Thank you," Skye said under his breath. He sank against the hot stones.

Vows were shared under rustling trees. Birdsong erupted from the branches. Cherry blossom petals materialised to caress the happy couple: Mr and Mrs Roseland.

Skye turned and closed his eyes. He breathed in the forest's fresh air for the final time, and slipped away.

Rounding off Allegra and Emily's round - after their big wedding they had a couple more days of settling into Veronaville.

Emily made friends with Jill Smith (the townie from the garden club, not from Strangetown! They both work together at Florence's flower shop) and Allegra befreinded Skye Weiss, one of her seniors from work.

Mostly though they just enjoyed each other's company! Despite Emily's ill-advised kiss with Chloe and Allegra's various terrible flings, they seem really happy together. We'll see if they last!

Skye is not sure about all these strange feet, but he discovers the rabbit and forgets all about them.

"Now you say it. Bunny!"

"I swear, between him and Mary I'll never cook again!"

"Now that was a great party - and completely wasted on him." "Yeah, but he can almost say briefcase."

Okay I'm in the depths of RWBY brainrot and yet also have a crippling addiction to pokemon sleep so fuck it RWBY X POKEMON PARTNER HEADCANONS!

Ruby Rose & Shaymin (Skye Form)

It seems fitting that Ruby would have a Mythical Pokemon as her partner, considering she has silver eyes (which is considered rare and very powerful). Shaymin (Skye Forme) is a speedy Grass/Flying type, which fits well with Ruby's Semblance. Shaymin can also instantly purify toxins, and can release the purified substance it processes in a violent, explosive burst - not so disimilar to how the power of silver eyes can nuke the Grimm.

Weiss Schnee & Ninetails (Alolan Form)

Obviously, Weiss was going to have an Ice Type Pokemon. According to legends, nine noble saints were united and reincarnated as Ninetails, and each of its nine tails has its own unique type of special mystical power. Maybe I'm stretching just a little bit, but it fits with her Seblance that relies heavily on the use of Dust (various forms of power) and how Glyth's are only inheritable via bloodline.

The Alolan form Pokedex entry also states that it possesses a calm demenor, will show themselves to the virtuous who are lost, and can not forgive those who cause harm - which I also think is a good reflection of Weiss's character in the later volumes.

Yang Xiao Long & Pangoro

Originally, I considered Taurus for Yang's companion because of their Anger Point's ability (Raises attack power when dealt a critical hit), but they didn't really fit Yang as a person, so I instead went with Pangoro. Alongside their Iron Fist ability (boost power of punching moves), they are kind to those it considers their friend - despite being quick to anger sometimes- and do not tolerate those who pick on the weak.

Being a Fighting / Dark type, they also acts as a nice tie to both of Yang's parents.

Blake Belladonna & Liepard.

Out of all the cat pokemon, Liepard fitted Blake the best. The Dark type feline can disappear and reappear without warning and is known to attack silently and from behind, plus is famous for being moody (thought Blake does develop past that archetype in later volumes). Liepard and it's pre-evaluation are commonly used by the grunts of Team Plasma in the Black & White games, which works well with Blake's origins with the White Fang.

Jaune Arc & Meowstic (Male)

Male Meowstic's have a strong defensive instinct compared to their female counterparts and prefer to offer support rather than attack, which compliments Jaune's role as a tank, tactician, and healer rather than an combatant. Not that they aren't capable of inflicting serious damage if needed to protect themselves or others. It can harm itself as a side effect of using too much psychic energy, which you could connect to how Jaune is able to give his own Aura to help others, even at his own detriment.

Side note - but Meowstic's pre-evolution Espurr is such a pathetic, bug eyed little bean who I think encompasses V1-V3 Jaune perfectly.

Pyrrha Nikos & Lucario

Being a Fighting / Steel type, Lucario already was an obvious choice for someone like Pyrrha, who is an extremely skilled combatant and also has control over metal with her Semblance Polarity. Beyond that however, I also picked Lucario as they are one of the most popular Pokemon of all time, regularly in the top 10 of popularity polls, which I think fits with the image Remnant has of Pyrrha - the pride of Mistral; the Invincible Girl. Together. Pyrrha and Lucario would be a picturesque and fearsome partnership, one that would have won other the hearts of many during their four consecutive wins of the Mistral Regional Tournament.

Nora Valkyre & Tinkaton

This one was obvious and was one of the pairings that spurred me to waste hours making this post. Their signature colour is pink, they both carry hammers and can lift over 100kg with ease. Despite strength being their defining characteristic, Tinkaton is highly intelligent, which is reflective of an aspect of Nora that lies underneath her silliness and bravo. The pokemon is also very daring, if a little reckless, which would contribute to how the huntress only sees herself as someone who can only be strong and hit stuff.

Lie Ren & Lurantis

The Bloom Sickle Pokémon fits the Pistol Sickle weilder mostly just on visual vibes. Pink Flower based Mantis Pokemon with the Pink Aura, Lotus Symbol, quiet Huntmen? Chef kiss. But a little bit of thought did go into pairings these two beyond aesthetic reasons. A pokedex entry talks about how maintaining Lurantis's vibrant petal colours is a true test of its trainers' attentiveness, which reflects Ren's nature to contemplate and observe. It's pre-evolution Fomantis is nocturnal and hates having their naps interrupted, which is a fun little link to how development for Ren's personality started from how Nora was a morning person while Ren wasn't.

Oscar Pine & Eevee (Shiny Version)

This one I put a lot of lore reasoning into. Eevee are the most adaptable of any pokemon, being able to evolve into eight different forms of differing types. They can also start to adopt the face of their trainer. Pokedex entries describe the pokemon as having a irregular genetic makeup, and is viewed to hold the secret to evolution as a whole.

All of this ties in really nicely to Oscar's role as a reincarnation of Ozma, taking on his soul after the passing of Ozpin. While their souls will merge together eventually - as with all previous reincarnations - I like to think that is the point their eevee's evolve, acting as the last reflection of the individual who once was. I also specifically chose for all of Ozma's reincarnation's eevees and subsequent eeveelutions to be shiny's, symbolising their connection to something greater and more magical than other morals.

For a little added headcanon tidbit - Ozpin's eevee evolved into an Espeon.

Penny Polendina & Scizor

Beyond the fitting-ness of the type matching - Steel matching Penny being a Android, and Bug fitting her Allusion of being Pinocchio, Scizor also works well as Penny's partner in lore also. Scyther can only evolve into Scizor when traded while holding a Metal Coat, which you could theoretically tie to how Pietro traded part of his soul and Aura to create Penny. The pokemon also represents Atlas as a whole - surrounding itself in technology and metal at the expense of disconnecting itself from the rest of the natural world.

Widespot: 20 Jahre später (1)

Widespot ist die chaotischste Nachbarschaft, die ich je gespielt habe. Jeder hat irgendwie mit jedem Affären und Babies, sodass aus Widespot quasi eine große Familie geworden ist:)

Fam. Weiss:

Skye Weiss (Senior) lebte mit seinen Alienkindern Penny (Erwachsene) und Woody (Teenager) allein.

20 Jahre später:

Inzwischen wurde das Haus mehrfach renoviert und umgestaltet.

Skye erreichte die Spitze der Wissenschaftskarriere, maximierte seine Logikfähigkeit, erlebte eine kurze Romanze mit einem weiblichen Townie und starb schließlich an Altersschwäche.

Penny hat zwei Söhne, Alfred und Cornelius, von zwei verschiedenen Vätern. Neben Alfreds Vater Rhett Hart hatte Penny Affären mit Valentine Hart (Vater von Rhett), Rocky Beech und River Land. Letztendlich entschied sie sich dafür Rhett zu heiraten und seinen Namen anzunehmen. Außerdem nahm sie eine Stelle in der Bildungskarriere an und ist inzwischen Hilfslehrerin (Lvl 3).

Woody ist inzwischen Erwachsen und hat als Romantiksim trotz seiner Verlobung mit Goldie Hart einige Romanzen am laufen: Virginia Beech, Goldies Schwester Candy Hart, Lana Mann, Dixie Land und einige Townies. Kein Wunder, dass bei all seinen Abenteuern irgendwann einmal ein Unfall passiert. Sein Unfall heißt Phil Hart und der Grund, warum er sich mit Goldie verlobt hat. Woody ist außerdem Ritter der Tafelrunde (Lvl 6 der Unterhaltungsbranche)

Alfred Hart wurde zu Beginn des Spiels geboren und ist inzwischen junger Erwachsener und auf dem College. Er hat bereits dir Körperfähigkeit maximiert. Sein erstes Mal hatte er mit Mary Land. Sie war bereits erwachsen, er noch ein Teenager und das ganze ist durch einen autonomen Bootycall entstanden.

Cornelius Hart ist Pennys zweites Kind und der Sohn von Valentine Hart, der Vater seines Stiefvaters. Er ist inzwischen Teenager und 3er-Schüler.

Außerdem hat die Familie den Rüden Buddy adoptiert.

Rhett Hart ist nach der Hochzeit mit Penny in den Weiss-Haushalt gezogen. Er ist der Sohn von Valentine Hart. Auch er hat einiges an Affären aufzuweisen: Sandy Beech, deren Tochter Virginia Beech, und drei weibliche Townies. Er ist der Vater von Alfred und außerdem von Florentina und Bobby Beech. Er ist freiberuflicher Webdesigner (Lvl 9 der Faulenzerkarriere) und damit kurz davor seinen Lebenswunsch zu erfüllen.

Weiss, Day 5

Skye: Honestly, Beulah, we're fine... I managed the house fine for years before Penny was born, and before she was big enough to help... take over...

Woody has an active want to go to college, which makes it homework o'clock!

Woody: Hi, Pascal.

Of course Penny and Pascal went straight for the chess board. They don't have time at home, what with four toddlers!

Woody: Well hi there! Your daddy's married to my sister, which makes me your Uncle Woody. And I'm green like you!

Want to meet someone new - fulfilled!

And then Penny left due to pregnancy motives, and Pascal decided it was late and he should take Tycho and Maia home too.

Woody was just making dinner, too! Why couldn't they stay?

Oh, maybe it's best they didn't stay.

Meanwhile, Skye spent his evening stargazing.

On Tuesday morning, Skye and Woody went off to work and school, leaving me watching an empty house all day. They both napped when they got home, and then Woody did homework and invited Penny, Pascal, Tycho and Maia over. Meeting Tycho for the first time filled his want to meet someone new! Maia never made it into any pictures because she spent the whole time playing with the bunny in the attic.

VeronaHills, Round Eight: O'Mackey

The way Gabe looked at Skye felt beyond academic admiration.

The colleagues began by respecting each other, which led to sharing notes on their lessons, then clinking pairs of pints at the pub after school. One evening, when Gabe had the urge to pull his barstool closer and run his fingers through Skye's glorious grey mane, he realised it might be better to put his feelings into words.

"I need to say this now or I never will. I think I... well, I like you."

Skye chuckled, wiping ale froth from his lip. "Well, I'm glad to hear it," he replied. "This is my first time being a drinking buddy, so if I'm making a dog's breakfast of it, just say the word."

"No! I love your company, Skye, don't worry." Gabe paused, realising the word he'd used. Love. He couldn't use that yet, but like-like sounded like one of their students with a crush for the first time. Oh, for goodness sake.

"I think I might be interested in men," Gabe said carefully. "Romantically."

Skye smiled and said: "Me too."

A good start. Now, the question: "Since we're both men, who are interested in other men, what do you say about... us?"

Skye scraped his barstool closer and Gabe's heart began to thump. The elder scholar delivered a soft, thoughtful reply: "I appreciate you telling me. In return, I must make sure you know... if we were to explore this connection, you would be my first... well, first everything. Are you okay with that?"

For the first time, Gabe invited Skye to his place post-pub. Book bonding was inevitable, til they met in the bedroom to turn their philosophical musings to the physical. Slowly, gently, they turned the pages of each other's bodies.
