The amazing @countandra mentioned to me his idea for a grownup Boo/Maria meeting Randall again and face her fears.

And that reminded me of the best movie trope ever! Girls embracing their “unattractive” qualities in the form of making friends with a monster manifestation of them.👏 Think: Drop Dead Fred, Your Monster or Pretzel Jack.

So here’s Boo being haunted by her old monster lizard! And he’s gonna teach her to be more confident/assertive or something at her workplace! And possibly advocate for embezzlement, but she’s just gonna ignore that part…

I’ve basically been dead as far as online presence and art is concerned, mostly due to keeping busy with life stuff. There is currently a recently spayed cat wearing a shirt in my house, I’m playing houseplant musical chairs, that kind of stuff.

But here’s a few crude scribbles of a curly ‘noph lady who I’m finding fun to draw. I should compile another pallanoph sketch dump when I’m less lazy.

Description

With his depiction of the painter in his studio, Vermeer turns this genre painting into an allegory of the art of painting. His model is posing as Clio, the Muse of history, who inspires the painter and proclaims the glory of painting in the old Netherlands, which she has immortalised in the book of history. The unity of the arts is reflected in the sculpture model, sketchbook and the work in progress on the easel. The map with the 17 provinces of the Netherlands before they were divided into north and south is a reference to a land that had always owed its fame to the art of painting.
