UN official calls for female-only sports categories after women athletes lose 890 medals to trans opponents: report
Female athletes have also sustained serious injuries such as knocked-out teeth, concussions, broken legs, and skull fractures from their transgender opponents, as per the report.
A new study revealed that trans-identified biological men competing in women's sports has resulted in the loss of 890 medals by over 600 female athletes across 29 different sports, although experts said the numbers are likely much higher.
The shocking data comes from a recent report published by Reem Alsalem, the UN Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women and Girls, who issued an official recommendation of banning men from competing in women's sports. The report was presented to the UN General Assembly on Oct. 8, which included a plethora of written and in-person evidence. She advised that there needs to be a protected female-only category to ensure the safety of female athletes and fairness at all levels, as reported by Sex Matters.
Alsalem called on the assembly to ensure that "female categories in organized sport are exclusively accessible to persons whose biological sex is female." She said that new sporting categories need to be created for athletes who want to compete opposite their birth sex or have the men's category be made available to all competitors.
The UN official stated that athletes should not be forced to lower testosterone levels in order to compete in any category. She also said that sports bodies should not subject athletes to invasive sex screenings.
"In cases where the sex of an athlete is unknown or uncertain, a dignified, swift, non-invasive and accurate sex screening method (such as a cheek swab) or, where necessary for exceptional reasons, genetic testing should be applied to confirm the athlete's sex. In non-professional sports spaces, the original birth certificates for verification may be appropriate. In some exceptional circumstances, such tests may need to be followed up by more complex tests," the report stated.
Alsalem called out the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and said that had it followed this protocol, the 2024 Paris Olympics boxing scandal never would have happened. The IOC determines an athlete's sporting category based on whatever sex the athlete has listed on its passport. During the Olympics, two competitors in women's wrestling were believed to be men, though their passports said they wre female and there was no indication that they identified as trans. They were believed by some to have DSD, or differences in sexual development, though they had male XY chromosomes.
Additionally, the report revealed that men competing in women's sports pose a serious safety threat to female athletes, increasing "violence at all levels."
"Female athletes are also more vulnerable to sustaining serious physical injuries when female-only sports spaces are opened to males," the report stated, citing a study that found "the least powerful man produced more power than the most powerful woman" while playing the game of volleyball. Female athletes have sustained serious injuries such as knocked-out teeth, concussions, broken legs, and skull fractures from their transgender opponents, as per the report.
The UN official also advised against allowing men in women's restrooms or changing rooms, saying that "removing single-sex spaces in sports may also increase the risk of sexual harassment, assault, voyeurism, and physical and sexual attacks in unisex locker rooms and toilets."

Something that's important to realize is that men do not view their hatred of women as political or as a personal viewpoint. When men say things like women are less than men or stupid or not good for anything or that they belong in the kitchen, they view it as a natural fact of the world. They're fine saying vile shit about women because they firmly believe those things to be basic truth. They view it as natural order. To them it's as true as the sky being blue. They don't consider their views to be subjective. They think everyone feels how they do and the ones who don't are too stupid to recognize very simple truth. If you've ever wondered why a man would feel comfortable freely saying something offensive about women, that's why. To them, women being less complex than men is as simple as saying that humans need food to eat.
#This is also why misogyny does not lessen with political sides#It just changes form#The conservative man views women as lesser than men#He wants them in the kitchen#The liberal man views women as lesser than men#He wants them to be comfortable in brothels#Hating women is men's baseline and then they base their politics based off of that#So the conservative man who hates women will ban abortion and contraceptives#And the liberal man who hates women will ban single sex spaces and advocate for women to lose their jobs if they have wrong opinions#Female hatred is the same but how men utilize it varies

The preservation of male sexual access to women is at the heart of racist and sexist movements, presently and throughout history. I am critical of anything that encourages women to "evaluate" or dissolve their sexual boundaries and anything that forces women to be accessible to males.
#it was a HUGE thing for the triple K. I did research on it for a class and it was terrifying to draw modern parallels#single-sex spaces are so important#and so is a woman's ability to say no#and I will continue fighting for those no matter how “problematic” that makes me#women are my priority#gender critical#radblr#personal#female seperatism#male violence

Oh honey...
We know a male when we see a male. This idea that trans identified men are somehow so well hidden that us women can't tell a women with a hormone disorder from a full ass man is just wishful thinking on your part.
If you had four people, a trans identified female, a trans identified male, a cis identified male, and a cis identified female stand in a room together, all wearing beige sweatpants and a grey shirt, we would be able to sort male from female easily.
And these are just the trans identified males that actually try and look decent. There are countless more in TikTok, Instagram, this platform, and Twitter that look WAYYY worse and are incredibly easy to clock.

Vasco and Machete are absolutely adorable, your style is so lovely and you draw the softest beds I’ve ever seen in any art ever
.
#thank you!#softest beds is a whole new compliment that's so sweet#let me go off on a weird and personal tangent for a minute#I've always found the concept of sleeping very touching somehow#it's this mandatory resting period literally everyone has to plan their life around no one has the power to avoid sleeping#if you neglect it your mind and body start to break down very quickly#sleep is such a neutral state of being no one is particularly sad or happy or evil or good while they're asleep they're just logged off#sleeping feels nice it's rejuvenating it's one of the few universal pleasures every single person has an access to#and I find it terribly cute how people have different little bedtime rituals#socks on socks off various pillow and blanket arrangements certain sounds that make them sleepy etc#and sleeping next to someone is such an act of trust#it's extremely intimate as is sex doesn't necessarily have to factor into it#getting comfortable and going unconscious with someone at the same place at the same time that just touches my heart#especially if you're invited into their bed which is a very private space a person's own little nest where the world can't reach them#even if you fall asleep in public transport there's this vulnerability to it and for the most part people respect the sanctity of sleep#and tend to leave sleeping people alone at least in my limited experience#I like drawing my characters sleeping because it feels like I'm doing them a favor granting them a little respite#anonymous#answered

okay, the reply feature isn’t working for some reason, so i’m gonna reply here, @gemblingcraft and @starlight-to-midnight
so y’all really don’t remember how homophobic the UK still was even after section 28 was overturned, huh? and how homophobic it still actually is cuz lesbians are still punished for being homosexual and not wanting to interact with dick? how even afterwards, publishers wouldn’t publish works about explicitly gay characters in children’s books? y’all have the memory of celery sticks.
and literally nowhere has Rowling said anything bad about trans people. but if y’all think that “sex matters” and “lesbians are homosexual females” and “women need female only spaces” are bad, then you’re just homophobic, misogynist idiots. not that i’m surprised anyway.
also, not sure how y’all don’t remember that it was pretty heavily implied that Dumbledore was in love with Grindelwald when they were young, cuz i remember reading that, and it was literally over a decade ago. like it was clearly implied that he had serious feelings towards Grindelwald, but after his sister had died, that changed. does no one remember the biography written about Dumbledore in the book?
#these two are morons but what else is new?#jk rowling#she literally said ‘i know and love trans people but women need single sex spaces’#if you think that’s transphobia then you’re just a misogynist dipshit#trans receipts#trans brain rot

although i think it's important to acknowledge the complexities of aro & ace identities, & to be welcoming of aroace identities that may be sex/romance favourable/hypersexual & seek those relationships, i think it's still important to acknowledge that completely romance/sex repulsed aroaces are still a minority in the ace community despite being the stereotype. & we should still listen to those voices,
#i don't have like. Aro Ace Spectrum Demographics but i definitely notice the grand majority of users i (Personally) see are acespec#but a very Few amount of people are the stereotypical romance-repulsed sex-repulsed aroace#& although it's a good thing that those on other parts of the spectrum are recognising their identity & learning more abt themselves#we should still recognise that's a majority in the ace community & should still strive to make apothi aroace ppl feel welcome in spaces#maybe it's just been my experience with the h4zbin h0tel fandom (censoring bcs i don't want drama) but#i Definitely see a lotta people taking apothi aroace ppl expressing discomfort w/ al4stor being shown in ship art (by allos)#& turning it into “you guys know there are OTHER ace identities right 🙄🙄” or “that's just how the internet is !”#which yes i think almost all of us are Well aware of other ace identities. espec if we're active in ace communities#& no the internet doesn't Have to be that way. just like how the internet is a whole lot less homophobic than how it used to be#instead of actually ??? listening to our points ? a lot of people only seem to listen to us when we absolutely hamfist the whole “it's ok to#be x y or z too!“ into every single message#just so people don't immediately antagonise us for raining on their fictional ship or sumn#this make sense ?#aromantic#asexual#aroace#sex repulsed#romance repulsed#lgbtqia#idk if this comes off as whiney since it's from said apothi aroace individual. “listen to me NOW !!!” but uhhm if so ? idgaf whatever

Trans People's right to single-sex spaces
The "right" in itself simply doesn't exist.
Because single-SEX spaces are for the single SEX, as the name makes clear, they're sex-based, which means trans men and women can share spaces, and trans women and men can share spaces, but trans women and women can't, and trans men and men can't. That is because you cannot change your sex, and while trans men and women have the same female sex (ergo, can use the same spaces), just like trans women and men, trans women and women't don't have the same sex, nor do trans men and men (ergo, they can't share sex-based spaces).
Even if there was any law that said that trans people should be able to have spaces just for them where they feel safe, that doesn't mean they should be given somebody else's space.

TRAs talking about how history will judge us poorly reminds me of that quote “isn’t it an amazing coincidence that the good guys won every war?”
#the winners write history#maybe trans rights will triumph over women’s rights#but that doesn’t mean TRAs are the good guys#power isn’t synonymous with moral righteousness#trans rights#activists#vs#women’s rights#activists isn’t quite the same as a war that wipes out a country#because they still need women to create more transgender people#and despite what#francis fukuyama#said in#the 90s#there is no end of history#the end of history happens when the last human dies#the only constant is change#so yeah in 100 years maybe people will think sex was a social construct#and that men can turn into women with simply a declaration#but then in 200 years people will know#that you can’t change sex#and that women need single sex spaces#who knows#no one can predict the future#politics#feminism#radical feminism#transgender#musings

why is "if you have a problem with transwomen in your bathrooms mind your own business/stay home" always directed at women. why's it never at men. if men have a problem w transwomen using the sex-segregated facilities that match their sex then they can get the fuck over themselves or stay at home. how about that.
#i dont even believe all public toilets should b sex segregated i think there should b a legal requirement for a single-stall unisex option#but thats not the case rn so until it is. why is it women who always have to make room and give up their spaces why is never men.#(rhetorical question)#(we all know why)

The whole idea of TERF is so stupid in general for multiple reasons, but one of the most striking ones is that they intend to put it like women are against trans people, while I'm sure the vast majority of women would have no issue whatsoever sharing their single-sex spaces with transgender men.
What we oppose is turning single-sex spaces into multiple-sex spaces, because we understand sex-based violence and sex-based opression better than anybody else.
And trans men and women have the same sex. But trans women and women don't.

i do not want to discourse here or anywhere anymore but it does kind of affect me as a transmasc bi person when i see shit that indirectly misgenders me and implies that bisexuality is an icky no good word and identity and you have to be bi and gay and bi and lesbian and bi and straight at the same time or support them or you're an evil stinky stinky terf like... hello where am, i
#it makes me feel othered by an otherwise inclusive community bc how dare i think that men aren't involved in lesbianism#or how dare i think that bisexuality is a whole and valid sexuality#or how dare i think that any and all nonbinary genders are included in every single sexuality by default#or that trans women are women so no fuckin g duh theyre included in lesbianism and if your knee jerk reaction to seeing:#men cannot be lesbians is to think of trans women then you are the transphobe here#or how i dare think that trans man and transmasc aren't the exact same thing#that genderqueerdyke person is also a transadrophobia geek and theyre buddies with genderkoolaid#which like. do i HAVE to say it?#IF U IGNORE THE TRANSMISOGYNY (WHICH U SHOUDLNT) THEYRE ALSO A ZIONIST HELLOW?? WHATS NOT CLICKING WHATS NOT CLICKING#OK IM KINDA MAD ABT THAT LIKE... SORRY BUT HOW ABOUT WE DONT PLATFORM IDIOTS NO MATTER HOW GOOD THEIR RHETORIC MIGHT SOUND#BC U WANT TO BE TOTALLY INCLUSIVE AND NOT GATEKEEPY#ive BEEN around the fucking block ive BEEN on tumblr when the resident terfs here coined bi lesbian#if you scrolled back far enough in certain keywords you wouldve seen that shit in the early 2010s being discussed in their circles#to mean lesbians who are attracted to trans women#you cannot reclaim that or recoin it#yes ive done the research too#i looked at every single piece of evidence of that label existing in the past 50~ years#its just bisexual women back when lesbian spaces also included them#plus like may i also fucking ssay that bisexual also used to mean being of two sexes (transsexual/gender and/or intersex?)#this close to fully believing that the pushback against bisexual being it's own whole and valid sexuality is some kind of psy op#i sound schizophrenic well Maybe I Am#i feel like im going to end up deleting this post bc i dont want to argue with people who disagree with me because there is no getting#through to any of you#tbd.

every month there's a post in my area's subreddit that's like "I'm gay in my late 20s/early 30s and I moved here from nyc and it's all grown married couples with kids and I'm miserable" and it's like. yeah 😔
#there are no gay bars or venues or culture to speak of everyone's having board game & wine night w/ their little group. it's so isolating#i'm not one for clubbing but a bar would be nice. or like any 3rd space really bc it's near impossible if you're single or want casual sex#anyway just thinking. since I've cooled on my group significantly I've wished there were more places to hang out casually w/ strangers
