#zeno's art #i'm not sure if i should tag the show itself as i'm not a fan but i guess its “fan”art so i will #hazbin hotel #charlie hazbin hotel #vivziepop #i was bored and wanted to draw something #my main goal here was to create a design that looked distinct and could (potentially) be moderately easy to animate #of course based on charlie's character i added as many angel images as possible through the hair and bowtie #(i know white on white is a character design sin but i wanted to show the angel wing detail ;w;)#also to express the personality and juxtaposition of a sweet devil her horns are supposed to curve into a heart shape #of course the garterbelts are upside-down/st peters crosses because of her satanic themes #i also tried to go harder into the goat theme but its still subtle i think #i actually think the goat theme is really interesting because of the story of the sheep and the goats in the bible #but i cant remember if it was actually something intended in her original design #i'm not going to draw anyone else so dont even anticipate that #this was basically a cooldown? ok i think i'm rambling now #goodbye #ok edit to say it clearly: i am not a fan of vivziepop or her work. i just wanted to redesign charlie as a cooldown/exercise for fun #because i used to be a fan of the character before i wised up about what vivzie had and has done #and before i matured and noticed the cracks and fundamental flaws in her works #so yea i dont support her at all and this redesign is critical i guess #also the reason why the tag “vivziepop” is there in the first place is so that anyone who has that tag silenced can scroll past #without seeing anything related to her work. in case that clears anything up #its the same reason why i tag “long post” and “food” and the like

Short answer: No, beloved! We are called to pray without ceasing, to ask for what we want. It can feel selfish to pray for ourselves or to pray for something we don't technically need, but we're literally told to pray for ourselves (think of the Lord's Prayer) and to make our requests known to God.

Bringing a request to God is what we should do with all our desires--even if we're not sure they're the path we should take. We bring it to God because God is sure. We don't pray like it's a magic spell, but we do pray confidently, trusting that God hears--and in fact all prayer is a begging to be heard, and so our prayers are answered.

I'm sure you know that while love is promised and necessary, romantic love is neither a need nor a guarantee. Romance was not what Jesus stressed or even really mentioned--he talks about the structure of marriage but not the intimacy of romance. His interpersonal love in the gospels is primarily with his friends.

And yet, most of us experience some kind of pull toward romance, and sexuality is quite literally how humans continue existing. Romantic relationships can be fulfilling and joyful (although of course they aren't always). Your desire for this intimacy and joy is part of you, and while of course it could manifest in selfish ways, praying for it is the least selfish thing of all--it's putting it in God's hands. It's admitting your wants, even if they feel too intimate or selfish or embarrassing, and admitting that it's not in your control, that you can't do it all yourself.

You might not get what you want, and God already knows what you want, and yet--we're told to pray anyway. We're told to praise and give thanks and pray for others--and ourselves. So ask selfishly, ask boldly, and open your heart to what echoes out of it. You're not manifesting, you're participating in love. Pray for love, and the love will be in the prayer already. Pray for the kind of intimacy that your heart desires, knowing that the intimacy of God (the one you're cultivating by asking) is all you need. Don't drown in human desire, but let it (asking for it, perhaps living it someday) lead you to desire for the divine.

The reason there is a question mark is because with cdramas you never know when one will be shelved forever (due to topic or an actor being in trouble) or when the makers just decide to keep it on the shelf for...reasons (there is a drama premiering on Dec 10 that was completed in 2018!). The Visionary’s Soliloquy

I feel at peace after finishing this! While it was great to finish, I do miss working on the process though. Nonetheless, it took a good while to complete this due to real life stuff and creative stumbles. I wanted to nail Lysandre's character and stay true to canon as much as possible, but at the same time show more facets of his that were not addressed/fully fleshed out in the games as opposed to the anime and manga counterparts. I found him difficult to draw and write lol. Lysandre was a pretty interesting character with an actually well built evil organization if XY went deeper with them.

With that, a three-part comic series, unofficially titled as the Triad of Kalos, has been finished! This mini project was a way of dabbling in good ol Kalos' story and its potential, added with my ideas.
