Tabby's Writing Game: Day 20

Silly Saturday!

This is from my Wankfest fic from last year. Ironically enough, I set myself a reminder for today to make the moodboard for this year's Wankfest fic. (Not that I'm actually doing it tonight, I have witch shit to finish lmao)

“Christ, baby.” Louis dropped his briefcase right there in the doorway and stumbled over to kneel at the edge of the bed. He cupped Harry’s face. “What was that all about, love?” “I’m havin’ your baby, ‘s none of your business,” Harry mumbled sleepily. He felt pleasantly fuzzy and warm from his orgasm and smiled at his husband. Louis snorted. “Okay, love. Let me clean you up. You need a nap.” “Mmkay!” Harry giggled. He watched Louis’ bum as he walked away and giggled again at the little jiggle there was. He closed his eyes. He sighed when a pleasantly cool rag brushed against his skin, cooling him down and cleaning him up in one fell swoop. Louis scooped him up and moved him from the end of the bed to his regular side. He reached out for him when he pulled away and whined at him. Louis chuckled at him. “Hold on, baby, I’m just getting in on my side. Gonna join you for your kip.” Harry pouted. He relaxed as Louis’ bare legs brushed against his. “Mm,” he hummed, pleased. “D’you want the blanket, love?” Louis asked, leaning in to kiss Harry’s dewy forehead. “Uh-uh,” Harry answered childishly. “‘s hot.” “Want your top off, then?” “You’re already off,” Harry mumbled, reaching out and wrapping his arms around Louis best he could with his twenty-nine week bump in the way. Louis snorted again. “Alright, you nutter. Get some rest. I love you, baby.” He pecked Harry’s lips, then his forehead again. “Luh you. Kissy?” Harry heard Louis chuckle at him again but was indulged by him, lips pressing against his own. He sighed happily through his nose, moving his lips slowly against his husband’s. This is the life, he thought. Louis stroked Harry’s curls as the younger man napped. He snuffled into Louis’ chest, letting out the cutest little snores Louis had ever heard. Harry had fallen asleep mid-kiss a few minutes earlier, leaving Louis only able to smile at him. He’d never loved a person so much, though their unborn baby was quickly coming up to tie with him. He rubbed over Harry’s bump and smiled. Yeah, this is the life.

great news! that just straight-up doesn’t happen.

tarantulas can live for well over a decade, and female tarantulas can expect to breed multiple times before they finally kick it! and since there’s always the expectation of there going to be a new clutch of eggs in the nest every year, there’s no benefit in getting rid of the frogs that will keep those eggs safe.

a female columbian lesserblack tarantula will treasure and protect her frogs until the day she dies, and then those frogs will go into the care of whichever of her daughters inherits her burrow! it’s an eternal cycle. a cycle of frog.
