The rahaga, staking out a random visorak stronghold.
Iruini, looking through a telescope: I think Roodaka is putting the moves on Sidorak.
Gaaki, grabbing the telescope: Pfft, she’s been trying to end him for centuries. There’s no way he’s stupid enough to fall for that.
Gaaki: ...
Gaaki: Great Spirit, he really is that stupid.

The people have spoken!
Bionicle SCP AU!!
Big thanks to @chancetimespace for honestly entertaining this idea in the first place because this came out of left field😅
World stuff to get out of the way first:
The SCP here is basically the same as the usual SCP(Secure, Contain, Protect) with the added bonus of keeping the beings in its walls from getting out and disrupting the natural order
This is also something of a humanized au, so please bear with me
The Toa Metru are SCPs, each with their own quirks, as do other SCPs, but that's par for the course with anomalies
Lhikan, Naho, Sidorak, the Toa Mata, and Jaller are all scientists or are at least employees in the facility, with their jobs boiling down to keeping anomalies alive and in the facility. There are other workers, these are just who I thought of first
There is a facility trying to get an anomaly out, one that could possibly cause worldwide damage if set free. The anomaly has other acquaintances and allies, but it and the other facility are planning a breach
Takua/Takanuva is an anomaly
The Piraka are anomalies
There are objects that count as anomalies, namely masks. It is unknown how long these masks were tampering with natural order before their were apprehended
On to some of the SCPs themselves!
Off the bat, we have SCP-8545, Whenua. He appears to be a man in his mid-teenties to early thirties, but really he's been around since the 1200's, or so people think; 1215 was an exact year he mentioned as well as meeting philosophers and claiming they, "ruined a good day, and my lunch." Whenua can be hurt and does not regenerate, but his senses are heightened; he can see in the dark, has some level of echo location, and seems to have some level of X-Ray vision, proven when he stared at an agent and asked when they'd last been to the doctor. His Object Class is Safe and he is allowed to roam freely in the facility. He is also allowed to have belongings such as fossils he's kept with him and anitique books and objects from various points in history, including a draft drawing done by Leonardo DaVinci he claims to have won in a bet
SCP-8604, Onewa, is a mostly normal human being, but he has patches of stone on his body, most notably along his forehead, jaw, cheeks, arms, knuckles, torso, knees, back, legs, and feet. These patches make him nearly impermeable to physical damage and allow him to easily fight and gain the upper hand against other people. Also giving him an advantage, and what also made him difficult to capture, is that he has some level of telepathy, specifically making agents either forget him or ignore him. Upon his capture, he did need to be kept in a room with a two-way mirror; agents dicivered his telepathy is fully effective only when he can see his target and have their full attention on him while he commands them. Because of his telepathy and his subpar cooperation, he is classified as Euclid, only being allowed to roam if he wears a set of goggles that darken his vision and makes seeing others more difficult.
Matau, SCP-8740, also falls under the Euclid class. He is a shapeshifter, able to change his features at will and hold the appearance for as long as he wishes. Containment protocol including having a tracker injected into his body so that he could be found no matter what form he took. His original form appears to be mostly humanoid, only his skin is more reflective and scaley and he never blinks. Containment protocol has included that additions to having what is essentially an adult-sized play area in his area due to his high energy. He is only allowed outside if there is a guaranteed way to bring him back; he has had instances of nearly escaping as he slipped out of a window and formed a set of wings so he could fly.
SCP-8544 is Nuju, a human who agents found living alone with Nokama, another SCP and who was suffering from hypothermia. Nuju himself is immune to the cold and is able to love in firgid temperatures comfortably; he can be burned with heat, but rarely needs such extreme measures to be contained. He also has sharp vision and can read the stars in the sky like books, being an astronomer/astrologist, though this has translated to him being able to predict the future with steady success rates. Agents were surprised to see he had telekinetic powers, but only to the point of lifting and throwing objects and holding doors shut. His Object Class is Euclid due to his practicing using telekinesis to do more advanced things like stop a heart.
As previously mentioned, Nokama, SCP-8737, was found and apprehended with Nuju. She had been experiencing hypothermia due to swimming in a nearby frozen lake. When she recovered, she, at first, spoke to the agents in fluent Russian. When no one understood her, she spoke again in French. She spoke in various languages with perfect fluency, including dead languages such as Mayan and Latin, before finally speaking to the agents in English. When asked when she learned so many languages, she in turn asked why the agents never learned a fraction of the languages. Examination revealed she had a set of gills in her lungs, which allowed her to breathe underwater. Containment protocol is to let her have a pool in her room, as she is more comfortable underwater than above or outside of it. Object Class is Safe.
Vakama, SCP-8601, has been the longest staying anomaly of the SCPs listed. Similar to Nuju, Vakama is immune to heat, though he can be hurt by frigid temperatures. Unlike Nuju, Vakama is far more volatile as in moments of extreme distress or anger, he seems to begin to combust from the inside. When he's stable, he is safe enough to touch for prolonged periods of time, though there have been occasions where his body temperature drops until he has the same body temperature as the average human being. Agents were alerted of his presence by too many coincidences lining up with one another, namely too many premature prescribed burns and demolitions with a bit of jewelry of piece of metal artwork left behind. Vakama was found near an abandoned factory, though agents thought they'd only found a fire. Upon putting out the flame, they found and apprehended Vakama, who would explain he knew they would be in the area and wanted them to find him. They learned that Vakama could see the future, something he has no control over. During these visions, the flame grows and Vakama himself turns invisible. Despite his Euclid Object Class and permission/ability to free roam, Vakama rarely leaves his holding area, only requesting to have metal working materials and a calender
SCP-40581-1 is Takua/Takanuva, the names being used interchangeably as he can switch between two bodies, only able to inhabit one at a time. When in control of one bkdy, the other lays dormant in what appears to be a comatose state. Takua appears to be a small humanoid while Takanuva appears to be a humanoid crystal with a prominent internal glow. When asked, he explained it in a similar way to walking through a door and laying on a couch or bed. Agents have theories on how the anomaly came to be, but have more trouble keeping Takua in one place as he is apt to explore the facility(Object Class: Safe, if not mildly annoying). There have been recorded incidents of the slumbering body of Takanuva twitching and speaking. Takua claims to know nothing of what is said. It is unknown as of yet if damage to one body is carried on to the other

S I D O R A K
Ok, one more for today since I powered through this one and I'm excited to share. ovo
I was CONFLICTED on this, guys, like I was asking myself do I make him intimidating like in the books or a simp goof like in the movie? Idk, maybe I got a good mix in here, the biggest trait I really wanted to highlight out of them is that he's a vainglorious bastard, putting a crown and cape on himself to play up that role of being a king.
Honestly, did enjoy designing him, I will say~

Yesterday, I set out to write a silly little story about "Nokama Hordika goes into heat and has to figure out that problem." As I began to write, the story idea then quickly became "The male Toa Hordika go into rut and make it everyone's problem".
12 hours and 10k words later, and I present: Web of Shadows, The Bad Ending
Notes:
Major Character Death (besides the one we all know dies in this era)
Featuring Cat-Kama :)
It's 18+, but I don't describe... certain... scenes in too much detail. It's a mature story, but it's not an erotica per say.
This story is not canon to my main headcanon universe. In my main headcanon universe, no one but the Skakdi were able to mate while in the Mata Nui. In this story, Hordika are able to mate, and Steltians and Vortixx are somewhat more organic than Matoran.

Yknow, I feel like the perception of Sidorak was impacted severely by his depiction in the movie, and it would be different had they not leaned into his pathetic-ness that hard
Now, to clarify, he wouldn't be less pathetic or any more respectable or anything. His characterization is pretty set in stone.
What I mean is... edgy as fuck pathetic bastard man? The retractable sword and the Claws and such giving a hint of badassery in a sea of incompetence?
Don't act like people wouldn't eat this shit up had they been allowed to imagine he was a twink

I care if an au or not, Sidorak/Roodaka where the duo are like an evil couple but Roodaka actually likes that dumbass.
The plan was very, very simple.
At the right time: get rid of the fool.
That was it.
Couldn't have been any easier. Truly, it was kind of embarrassing - for him of course, because he was so insignificant in the grand scheme of things that the end of his life was little more than a footnote in her plans, but also for her, because for a Vortixx of her cunning this lack of strategy was frankly laughable.
But she didn't want to expend her energies on coming up with something more complex when she was already so many steps ahead of him; and so she had endured the stupid arrogance with which he tried (failing) to hide his fearful respect of her and his yakking about having played such an important part in her schemes, and she had pretended to enjoy his talks of joining his side much closer as queen of the Visorak like she hadn't been unofficially covering that role ever since the Makuta had first assigned the horde to the two of them, and had faked the slightest interest and deference just so that silly little infatuation he couldn't disguise from her keen eyes would keep on blinding him to her machinations even just a little more.
At the very least, despite being a disastrous egocentric attention hog, he did have enough sense in him to recognize her as the one superior in brawn and brain between the two of them.
And yes, it was... Pleasant, to know he was attracted to her.
It made her sound so disgustingly shallow - like the specter of a lagoon half drained by toxic waste. But it wasn't as though Vortixx were very keen on paying attention to something as trivial as their bodies, with how similar they all looked! It was just not a detail one ever expected to draw any attention!
But that idiot had met plenty of her kind already and would very much keep seeing plenty more, and still continued to stammer specifically when she traced the edge of her chin with a finger when deep in thought, staring intently while holding his breath like he was being subjected to some new kind of torture. And it would have been a lie to say that it didn't make her feel... A little pleased. Mayeb even a little proud.
A little flustered.
Bah. No way. How perfectly foolish.
If she went down this line of thinking she'd risk turning too soft to get him out of the picture.
Which was never going to happen, of course.
Because she was the Visorak queen.
And Sidorak's.
Technically.
Not yet.
Formalities and whatnot.
She always kept that nonsensical notion at a distance, but there was no harm in indulging in the absurd picture it painted - giving her access to whatever chambers the Steltian had previously had all to himself without arousing any suspicion, permitting so many new and exciting ways to get him out of her path to total control... She had no need to disguise it either, since she would have inherited the power from him anyways, but what lousy excuse for an assassination doesn't have a subterfuge or two?
And while she indulged in these silly thoughts, Sidorak presented her plans as proudly as if he'd made them himself (which he always did), but slowly forgot to put his name in front of hers to get as much of the merit as possible.
Oh, he still included himself in her schemings of course. He had to look good, as a king and all.
He was still arrogant, and egocentric, and pompous, and a perfect imbecile; but Roodaka found him a little less eager to throw her under the Ussal crab, and ever more infatuated.
His offers for her to occupy a throne by his own were getting less formal, almost hopeful. He'd started to heat up when she grasped his snout in her hands (why'd she start to do that, by the way? Because seeing his eyes widen and a dopey grin spread lopsidedly on his face was somewhat endearing?) and she'd started to enjoy his renewed attentions and more vocal appreciation of her cunning brilliance.
By now she had him twisted around her claw. She was still planning to get rid of him, of course, but new possibilities had opened up: smitten as he was she could have easily puppeted him around to do her bidding without her needing to lift a finger, and she could have used him as bait or perhaps a distraction in case some hotheaded idiot thought of taking the horde from them... She could have laid back in total safety, pulling the strings from behind him without ever having to worry for her safety! He was so confused by his attraction that he had even agreed to let her do most of planning in his stead, since she was such a tactical genius, and he would have posed in the front to carry out her instructions just like a devoted king should...
Hm.
Hm!
Well. In the end, he might have been more useful alive than dead.
Roodaka came to that satisfactory conclusion with a pleased hum and a big smile, snuggling her snout further into Sidorak's neck. The Steltian hummed back fondly in his sleep as his arms gently tightened around her, which caused a flustered buzz to flutter within her heartlight.
She stared into the dark for a few more minutes.
Ah, cripes.
Turns out infatuation is a two-way street.

Bonkle thoughts, not so late edition:
Mata Nui Matoran, especially Ta-Matoran, are absurdly skilled fighters for a random generic Matoran.
Why? Vakama. Vakama had an odd assortment of mentors.
First, obviously, Toa Lhikan. Not for too long, but they were on talking terms even when Vakama was a Matoran, so he might have gotten in a few tips in even then. Maybe he was even Lhikan's designated maskmaker and in extension probably to all the Toa Mangai then. That's a lot of adventures he could have heard about at the very least.
His teammates obviously. We see at least one instance in the book where they spar.
Sidorak. Compared to a Dark Hunter, he is a shit fighter, but still a moderately good fighter as I recall it from the books, or at least had the balls to lead his Visorak in the person. Gladiatoral fights are also a national sport to steltians, and he was friendly or at least polite with Vakama. There is no way he didn't have holos/videos on him to watch in his downtime. Obviously his Commander of the Visorak Hordes, who is a fresh Toa, must see the best ones. For educational purposes of course. (Roodaka appears mid-session to point out mistakes and incorrect forms, and gets the most upset at the referee when they make a shit decision. This is the only time Roodaka shows any genuine interest in Sidorak. Roodaka is very disturbed by this afterwards.)
Roodaka. She is a skilled double spy (see, she scales a DH bastion's wall like no-one's business). She has both Brotherhood and Dark Hunter training. She captured four martially highly skilled Toa Hagah and made such an impression on Bogaraks that they'd rather jump off a tower, than displease her. Roodaka has high standards even with her casual hipocrisy, so it's safe to assume she at least taught Vakama how to dodge properly so that he would be an asset for longer.
The whole team of previously mentioned Toa Hagah. After the Visorak Hordes are gone and while they are building the airships, I'm sure the Rahaga made a point to prepare their Toa Metru siblings as much as possible (wich probably included both Toa training and any random Brotherhood related skill or knowledge they deemed useful).
In conclusion, Vakama has the rarest hybrid dark-hunter-brotherhood-classic-Toa training in the whole MU. Which he imparted on his Matoran. No wonder that the Inika/Mahri kicked were as good handling bad guys as they were.

More Bionicle SCP AU Ideas
Now with added angst! For simplicity, I will not be using their assigned numbers in this post. Also the [REDACTED]s are not all censoring the same event, time period, or person. Thanks again to @bionicle-ramblings for this AU.
Keetongu is an anomaly resembling a mushroom/Sasquatch hybrid, who used to wander around healing the sick prior to his capture.
Onewa and Vakama get along much better in this AU than they do in canon at the start, because Onewa can actually understand Vakama’s feelings of stress and resentment from being treated like less for something he can’t control, plus he can appreciate a fellow artist. Onewa isn’t all sunshine and daisies with him, but Whenua gets much more of his ire than Vakama does. He and Vakama actually balance each other out a bit, as Vakama felt guilt for things he shouldn’t, while Onewa didn’t feel much guilt at all for some things that he actually should.
Onewa was able to hide the early signs of his rocky skin patches as being a form of ichthyosis (a skin condition that resembles scales, depending on the type), at least until he developed his telepathy skills and the patches became more obvious.
Nuju is actually related to Agent [REDACTED], but did not find this out until after the [REDACTED] event, during a conversation in the [REDACTED] period. The agent in question was also unaware, as Nuju had been thought dead by the family and was thus rarely or never mentioned out of grief.
Nuju’s first vision was his sister being severely injured while she tried to protect him from being taken into custody by SCP Agents after he came to visit her and her young child (whom he hadn’t gotten to meet yet) upon returning from his mountain climbing trip. He stayed away to protect her, and chose to let her think that he had died in a mountain climbing accident. His last vision as a free man was the agents coming for him and Nokama.
Takua’s crystal form (Takanuva) is actually incredibly heat resistant. It is also incredibly hard to damage in other ways. Any scars that do form on it resemble rainbows or opal-like streaks. After the [REDACTED] event, he has several of these scars.
Vakama receives his first real hug in years whilst in custody from either Takanuva or Nuju.
Sidorak has a fondness for exactly two (2) anomalies.

Do you ever think about how at one point the fate of the matoran universe hinged on Sidorak being a simp?
At one point he literally had the Toa Metru/Toa Hordika lined up and was 100% ready to straight-up execute them.
If he did, that would be it. Game over, the brotherhood of makuta wins.
But no. Roodaka sashays up, cajoles him into toying with the Toa Hordika, and he just folds like a freshly laundered shirt and says "Yes, dear~"
And then the Rahaga come in for the rescue and Keetongu smashes Sidorak into a pancake.

I have a feeling that the SCP AU is leading to the Metru trying to escape the facility, because both how they are treated and that the bosses are Roodaka and Sidorak is just. Terrible.
The questions are: What is the boiling point that even Whenua says "enough of this shit". And how could they get out?
It does! And you're actually pretty close with Sidorak being in a really high position in the facility. Roodaka's actually another SCP😉
As for that boiling point, Weeeeeeeeeell.... 👇
Credit where credit's due, @chancetimespace thank you for listening to all my brainstorming, and even the angst scenes, especially this one
So it all started when Lhikan was wrapping up a session with Whenua and asked if he wanted to make any requests. Whenua was silent, but ultimately caved:
He wanted to go to the beach, and he wanted the other Metru to come with him. An all or nothing deal too; they all had to unanimously agree to go to the beach together. Even only one disagreed, then they wouldn't go
Lhikan DID point out that such a request can be seen as a potential breach and also cruel, based on the "all or nothing unanimous agreement thing," but Whenua was adamant. He didn't want to force anyone, and he wanted the other Metru to get out and get fresh air because Onewa felt like a caged animal, Matau was treated like one by staff sometimes, Nuju and Nokama were restless, Whenua wanted to feel the sand between his toes, and, if he had to be honest, he had no idea how long Vakama had been in the facility for and thought the kid could use some fresh air and Vitamin D
And so Lhikan took it to the Director and, upon hearing the stipulations, agreed: If Lhikan got the Metru to UNANIMOUSLY agree to it, they would be allowed their beach day. He even had a slight start with Whenua; people don't make requests like that unless they REALLY want it
He moved pretty quickly, talking to each Metru himself and getting their individual answers, making sure he'd get unbiased answers because THEY had to agree themselves, not because, "Everyone else is going and I don't want to let them down"
He already had his 'yes' from Whenua, so he moved to the others next
Nuju agreed almost instantly, glad to be outside and out of the facility even if it was only for a day
Nokama also agreed; she missed natural water and wanted to stretch her legs again
Matau was VERY enthusiastic in his agreement, eager to see people and essentially play 'dress up' again. He did ask which beach they'd be going to, and Lhikan promised it'd be one he'd liked
Onewa was where he ran into a hiccup, because Onewa didn't believe him, as some personnel thought it would be funny to prolong granting his requests or even not grant them entirely. Lhikan had to grant a request(giving Onewa a 2×2×2 block of rainbow tiger's eye/tiger iron) in order to get Onewa to agree, which he ultimately did(on the basis that he would beat the hell out of Lhikan if this was another sick joke)
Vakama was another hiccup, thanks to Roodaka because she'd been talking to him more and getting into his head about being with the Metru. This did not come up when Lhikan asked him about a beach day. Vakama was iffy still because of the fact he'd be outside and, if he was being honest, he thought he'd be a danger to everyone around him. Lhikan assured him he would be and swore nothing would happen. Vakama asked if he could sleep on it to provide his answer. Roodaka also paid a visit and got him to tell her about the beach question Lhikan gave. She warned him it would end badly, that the foundation wouldn't stand for it, knowing who was getting out and what they could do
By the morning, after a couple days, the Metru were brought together, given some ordinary clothes and brought to a shuttle van with tinted windows. Long story short, the agreement was unanimous
Lhikan brought them to an ice cream parlor(the Metru had breakfast before they left) before they got to the beach, because "You can't have a beach day without ice cream," and wind up taking to an out of work friend for a WHILE
The Metru all watched, even when they finished eating, and were simply admiring how two people could talk for so long
Then Vakama, as he was messing with a peppermint wrapper, said, "We could probably leave and he wouldn't even notice."
And, after a moment of everyone staying at each other, they did
They all had their teachers in their arms, but they were out of Lhikan's sight and on their own
And they had a VERY good day
Turns out Whenua tended to leave stashes of cash around in places only he knew were there; "this used to be a speakeasy during the Prohibition. Once the ban was lifted it became an extra room and then one people just didn't care to look for when the fun stuff was right in front of them." They did have to remind Matau to keep to one face, so the police wouldn't be informed and they had to get sunglasses for Onewa and cover for him; "He lost a bet and now he needs to wear that face makeup all day. Looks pretty badass, though, huh?" / "Correction: I *won* that bet."
A major highlight was going to a carnival and just having a good time and goofing around, more so when they finally made their way to the beach and just had fun. Swimming, playing in the sand, taking in the sun, even having a campfire and watching the sunset and later stars
Here was where they really got talking, about their lives before the facility, about how long they'd been in, making light of their time being in captivity, as it were
Nuju and Nokama were in for the least amount of time(9 months)
Matau had been in for three years
Whenua had been in for five years, three months and 4 weeks(yes, he kept count)
Onewa had only been in for a year, maybe a year and a half
Vakama revealed he's been in the facility for eight years now, counting today
It silenced everyone for a moment, especially as they realized that so much time had caused a lot of damage, and not just physical. Vakama is VERY socially inept, to the point he just froze up when a girl told him her friend thought he was cute, he is pale like a ghost, he looks like he hasn't been sleeping, and, as he revealed to them, being seen as a monster and a secret to be kept under wraps wins up making you believe it yourself, that that's all you are and every will be
After a moment, the question was proposed:
"What if we ran away?"
It caught everyone's attention, mainly because they realized THEY WERE OUTSIDE and they did get away from Lhikan and could run. Nuju pointed out they still had their trackers in, though they could be removed hopefully before the foundation found them all
The discussion was long and there was a lot of "and then what?" But ultimately, everyone just lay on the beach and wind up falling asleep
You may think Lhikan left, but no. He was keeping an an on the Metru and needed to report back to the foundation that he had the Metru in sight and they were safe. He had everything under control
He missed when a group of SCP bands drove in from the back roads and SCP personnel essentially swarmed the beach
To call what happened brutality would be an understatement. Personnel were armed with guns, both with live ammo and tranquilizers, tazer/stun guns, batons, pepper spray, anything to apprehend the Metru, and all are used in some capacity, even when they surrendered
Vakama in particular did immediately surrender, even with a gun aimed at his head, but could only watch as he saw the others be beaten, pepper sprayed, shot with tranquilizers, and even electrocuted in water as Nokama had tried swimming to get away out of sheer instinct
The recapturing left them in horrible states. Matau had been tranq-ed and knocked unconscious, Nuju wound up getting shot in the leg, Whenua and Onewa were beaten until they were unconscious, and Nokama was trembling controlably thanks to both what happened and being shocked IN WATER
Each were put in separate bands and taken back to the facility, though Vakama had to be knocked out with sleeping gas because he WENT OFF on the personnel and how they were using their numbers to talk about them rather than their names. Upon re-entering the facility, the Metru were kept apart, not allowed to see each other. Lhikan wasn't allowed to visit them either
To say the Metru were all affected is an understatement
Whenua made and his weapons in his bed and his room
Nuju practiced his telekinesis tenfold
Matau refused to leave the enclosure in his area
Nokama has trouble being in water again, or would stay at the broke so no one could grab her
Onewa was even more hostile than he ever had been
Vakama often fluctuated between laying in bed all day to sometimes destroying his room and purposely seeing things on fire
It got worse when Roodaka glued herself to him and would often stay in his room with him. Nothing creepy happened, she just played at being his ally
That changed when Vakama was checked on me by Sidorak, started requesting to not see Roodaka anymore, and when Roodaka attacked him and the two had a VERY intense fight that personnel had to break up
While the other Metru earned their way back to seeing each other, the most they saw or heard of Vakama was he was first already seeing Roodaka, and then that he was in solitary containment/confinement because he proved to be too dangerous to be kept around others for a while
In solitary, Vakama met Norik, who talked to him through a vent and the two got talking: Norik and his friends tried to escape, but were unsuccessful. Norik doesn't mind solitary, but he'd heard of Vakama and his friends, as they were the talk of many staff members. He only hoped Vakama knew his friends worried about him because they do; he means more to them than he thinks, and he cares about them more than he realizes
After a VERY emotional reunion, and a shave and a haircut, two bits, the Metru were back to hanging out and seeing each other again, butnwith heavier supervision
That did not stop Vakama from slipping a note to all of the other Metru when they returned to their holding areas:
"We're getting out of here"
