ok so ages ago there was this post about how there was a concept or something of her being the one transformed with magicks to go fight Dooku instead of Savage. and I said in the tags imagine if she'd gotten Savage's arc, having to find Maul because she wasn't strong enough to defeat Dooku on her own, and becoming his apprentice. and well. yeah. that's how this starts. :]

Hello beloved mutual...I'd like to hear about your lavender marriage fic (great minds think alike) and/or Steve's mom dies fic!!

Ahhhhhh the lavender marriage fic.... this one is actually kind of sad? Well bittersweet. Anyways post season four Steve and Robin are both struggling in their own ways. Steve is having this weird 'I almost had something with a guy who is now dead' emotion and Robin is having a 'this is the second time my best friend almost died right in front of me' emotion. So one night while they're drunk she shares that and she's like Steve if they put you in the hospital, I wouldn't even get to see you. And Steve suggests they get married

It's a joke, and then it isn't. It actually makes so much sense to both of them. So at graduation in the parking lot after the ceremony, Steve proposes. Robin knew this was going to happen, the rest didn't. Cue everyone inserting their opinions, getting mad, disagreements, and eventually, understanding. But TLDR Robin and Steve are kind of codependent, Steve is grieving a three day love affair that never got to become anything real, and they decide the best way to heal each other is with a marriage

I'm also going to talk about the Steve's Mom dies fic, because it hurts me so good. It's in my A New Perspective series, but not for a while. Basically Steve's parents get into a car accident because his dad was driving drunk, his mom dies but his dad lives, and Steve has to navigate planning her funeral while also trying to figure out how he feels about it all given that he and his mom used to be really close and it feels like one day she just randomly stopped caring. Everyone is trying to help him in their own ways, and eventually by the end of the fic he's moving in with the Byers, so up till this fic he's still at home.

I will state point blank that this fic is literally just self therapy for me having to do something incredibly incredibly similar LMAO

thancred & urianger for sure, my only scion-related dawntrail wish is that we get more thanuri moments because they are just. so. chef's kiss

cid & nero are the divorcees of all time and i LOVE them for it

i really love the sibling energy between alphinaud & alisaie, and also between alphinaud & estinien. i think what i'm trying to say here is one of my favorite relationships is "alphinaud being an annoying but well-meaning brother to people"

zenos & WoL...... not necessarily a specific WoL (though i've certainly spent a lot of time thinking about how each of my WoLs would interact with zenos) but just like. the parallels between zenos and the generic WoL and the ways it makes them play off each other. i could go full pepe silvia on this but i will refrain

i'd like to take this moment to spread some rarepair propaganda, do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior aymeric/haurchefant, (no seriously though why do i never see content of these two, it's SO obvious to me)

i just remembered that brief part during the first Dark Arts Study Group (Expanded) where maeve keeps summoning(?) fire and i've jusgt gotta ask, does Maeve get to set anything on fire for real? does she get to blow something up? oooh do she AND Barty get to work together to Destroy Things With Fire? just regulsr friend-bondkng activities

my hope is that i'll be able to construct a situation in which maeve gets to destroy a building

if it's stone then with sufficient preparation she'll be able to just rip it down - barty's involved with the preparation (chalking incredibly complex rune chains on the foundations like 'haha get unwarded losers') and then maeve tears the entire building to pieces while cackling

'why is it on fire,' regulus says later, when they provide their status report. 'how did you set the rubble of a demolished building on fire'

'imagination,' says barty

'the power of friendship,' says maeve

regulus continues to ask them to destroy buildings. they're having fun. he is providing enrichment. he is such a good leader. did those buildings really need to be destroyed? we don't need to talk about that
