Kecleon’s shiny is almost identical to normal Kecleon, just being slightly darker and having a blue stripe instead of red. It’s shiny is commonly mistaken for being different, due to both the anime and pokemon mystery dungeons series featuring a purple one

Fun Fact. My first ever shiny pokemon was a Kecleon.

I was playing pokemon Alpha Sapphire and grinding my pokemon to beat Winona on Route 119. Only for me to randomly come across a shiny Kecleon. I didn't know it was shiny. I was brand new to pokemon and thought that Kecleon could just come in random colors. (Don't ask why I thought this when I had only ever seen normal Kecleon up to this point)

I caught her and named her Cyan I believe. (I was very young when this happened). I adored her. But then I reset my game without knowing just how rare she was. I was so sad.

So let me say, the next time Gamefreak puts Kecleon in a game. I will spend however long I need to for me to get another Shiny (preferably female) Kecleon.

(This might also be the reason I have such a soft spot for shiny Kecleon. No matter how "Lazy" it is)

I did get protean on the thing though so that was nice

happy with having it in a friend ball and getting a shiny with the fairly unique met location of dividing peak tunnel
