Ngl, Horizons is pretty much everything I wanted from a Pokemon anime.

Those not watching cuz no Ash are missing out. He's a nostalgic character for all of us and I get missing him/wanting him to return, but it doesn't hurt to give something new a try!

(By bound to its own story, I mean while it may use some SV characters, the kids aren't doing Gyms or really touching on any of SV's story beats like the school or the Raidons. It feels more like it's doing more of its own thing.)

Rayqua (the mimikyu shiny Rayquaza)

Skitten (that psycho Skitten)

Alina (that light creature/the Light sprite)

Atlas (the orange, blonde & brown novabeast with green mane & collar)

Dragalge (that brown kelp-dragon pokemon that cooks a cake)

Kieran (as a dark violet wolf, again, he isn’t mine but i pushed him & other fandoms characters into the lore)

Silversteam (that grey bird)

Squeaky-baby (that red-ish “toy” mouse creature/wind-up pocketmouse)

Rat (the blue mouse/the satin pocketmouse)

Vakuum (as a novabeast, its that entity with the adorable stare at the end, also not mine)

Explain time:

Yes, Vakuum is now part of the crew as well! (Yes, i love Vakuum, he’s amazing), i tried to feature as many new characters as possible, and so i did, the animation is basically about Blake taking the chosens crew to camping, Alina is suspicious of Blake’s intentions so she tags along & the camping goes *INSANE* (cuz they all psychos), also, yeah, Dragalge cooks cakes on campfires, the cake is already complete, he just burns them like marshmallow, he loves cakes, also, don’t tell me Vakuum doesn’t look cute the way i drew him

Amethio saving Liko! (I know there's a bit of a double purpose since Terapagos is there too and he wants it, but I do like that he will act to protect others from being hurt unnecessarily.)

I loved their tag team. I'm really hoping that Amethio joins up, at least in the final season of the series like Zuko did, because seeing him fight alongside Friede and that they actually had some decent teamwork together was so fucking good 🤩

Sprigatito's evolution into Floragato and that shot of it making a final stand against Rayquaza goes so hard.

He may have been a bit "Oh I only care about the Black Rayquaza and Terapagos," but it's only a matter of time until he's a part of the RVT family, mark my words. 🤭
