I could lie and say I've been trying to find some redeeming qualities in Wookshys, but I haven't. I enjoy disliking him. If he can't even figure out how to change his own shirt, I don't think he deserves to be appreciated.

However, it did almost make me sad when I noticed that the person Wookshys' considers his closest friend is the person who hates him the most in the colony. Proud of my abrasive brawler boy Irwin for not escalating things, though. Very good self-control on his part.

In other news, I am indeed blaming Wendy's insatiable trait for this particular incident. I just hope she remembers she's married before anything too dramatic happens.

I love Candlelight dearly, but she has absolutely zero self-preservation instincts. She didn't end up in hospital this time, though, so let's count that as a win.

This Song and Dance once again

Ember has returned to the alive side of the portal for another attempt at ultimate stardom, this time she’s really going to do a world tour babey!

She's learned some lessons from her last attempts. She's taking it outside of hinky dinky Amity Park and she'll start with getting some prime quality fans first, some real all stars themselves so to speak, after all, Phantom surely can’t be the only teen out there with aspirations for heroism right? 

Danny realises something is very wrong when a new hit single which has Ember’s brand slapped all over it, is spreading all over the world at an alarming rate. He already had the feeling that things were (literally) being too quiet lately 

He's forced to leave Amity to hunt her down and eventually finds himself in the presence of two Teen Titans, namely Robin (who figured out it was sound based mind control on time and put his protective batplugs in). And Aqua Lad, whose Atlantean biology means that his ear membranes are adapted for high pressure and that has the side effect of protecting him from the mind control. 

Technically they also have Speedy with them who was tinkering with new arrow ideas when shit hit the fan and was already wearing ear protection at the time (though to be fair, he also figured it out. You can only fight count Vertigo so many times and not learn the signs of this particular brand of fuckery) but he got caught by Wonder Girl's lasso and he's now sitting tied up at the sidelines, giving commentary.

And if you were to ask Robin right now, being generally unhelpful. 

It's mostly just him bickering with Dick and Garth awkwardly trying to get them to stop but he's not good at it cause usually it's Donna or Wally who break these things up and speaking off…   Dealing with a mind controlled speedster and amazon combo really sucks actually. 

Danny has never fought alongside other heroes before and it probably shows but besides Garth’s hydrokinesis and magic, Danny’s attacks are the most effective against Ember and neither Wally nor Donna can catch him much to Ember's frustration. 

But he's very good at drawing all of her attacks to him. Which is really great cause none of the Titans have experience dealing with a realms being. 

So, both sides have two titans and a ghost… At least the fight is fair?

it starts out really sweet and bada is just softer with you than she is to others.

you took one of her classes, loved the way she taught and her dance style, so you naturally began to attend more.

you really wanted to improve on your own dancing so you were taking her classes to learn more.

slowly bada started to notice you becoming more of a regular

when you walked in the doors to her class, she'd send you a small wave

eventually she asks for your name, you squeak it out, and she falls in love immediately

she just thinks you're so cute she wants to shrink you and put you in her pocket

with each class she begins moving you closer to the front

if she notices you struggling with a move, she'll personally run through it with you and you alone.

I'm gonna preface this with saying I know nothing about the Arabic language okay but I just thought of this scenarios and it's so funny

Could y'all imagine after Jason returns to Gotham and back into the fold and a time after Damian is also officially robin talia just shows up to spend time with her sons and to see how they are

And durring this she takes one look at Jason and just starts speaking to him in Arabic and Jason just stares at her wide eyed and has to try to remember all the lessons she taught him and knowing damn well she'll hand him his ass if she learns he did not keep up with the lessons and so he just kinda fumbles through the language and Talia just straight up grabs him by the ear drags him to the nearest private study in the manor and on the way she passes by Damian and also grabs him by the ear all the while cursing. In Arabic in a mom voice who's both disappointed and annoyed with her grown son.. Damian tries to struggle out of Talia's grip but one glare from her has him stopping in his tracks and allowing her to drag him along as well, once they get into the study Talia basically sits both boys down for an impromptu Arabic language lesson and they spend a few hours jogging Jason's memory in the language and then she starts checking over both boys ensuring they're both healthy and okay and ensuring that Bruce hasn't allowed her sons. Anywhere near that clown freak that seems to always be running a muck around Gotham...

Eventually Alfred pops in and brings everyone tea and cookies and asks Talia if she'll be staying with them for the night she declines and said she'll only be staying for dinner ..

Eventually they just start to catch up because to Talia Jason is also her son in fact she's the one that found him and brought him to the league to help him remember who he was and work through some of the trauma with him, she asks him about weather hell attend college or some kind of schooling, or if he'll continue work as a vigilante like his father, Jason is reluctant to answer Talia sees this riffles his hair and sensing he's uneasy she moves on to Damian and asks him how hes doing living with his father and living as a regular boy outside of the league Damian immediately starts telling Talia about all the animals he's been helping around Gotham, and his aspirations to be a doctor and work in medicine, also how stupid all his peers are and how frustrated he is that father keeps treating him as a childhood as if he wasn't running his own missions and team within the league and never once got caught, talia simply tells him that she and Bruce have very different ways of parenting and training and the reason she sent him to be with Bruce was because she thinks that it's what is best for him it'll provide him with a better much happier life than the league would at this time in his age and it's. Important for him to socialize and learn to work with people his own age and interact with civilians, she also tells him the working in medicine is something that seems to run in the family and gives him her blessing for his career choices..

Much later before dinner Jason pulls Talia aside and starts telling her about the fight he's had with Bruce where he yet again chose joker over his own son this time he was nearly tortured by joker and almost lost his life, and he doesn't know how to deal with it anymore Talia at this point wants to hand Bruce his ass but she doesn't let that on instead she offers to allow Jason to return to her and the league to get a break away from Gotham and he can sharpen some of his skills..

Though quietly she's just planning on killing joker and she honestly puts out a hit on him within the league because she's tired of her sons getting threatened by a mad man and if they're father won't do anything about it she will

Celestia will entertain your escape attempts for a little bit.

She herself has been mischievous, so she understands.

However... the more frequent your attempts, the more Celestia grows annoyed.

At some point I imagine she'd cast a spell on you to restrict your magic and lock you in your room as punishment.

It really does feel like she's a mother disciplining her filly/foal.

Celestia would scold her rebellious darling eventually.

You can't expect her to tolerate this forever, can you?

❅ shauna, similarly to nat, is not really a holiday person. she doesn't dislike it, necessarily, she just feels otherwise indifferent about it (especially given her short-lived catholic phase) 

❅ she is a big fan of autumn and winter - they're her favorite seasons, and she absolutely loves doing seasonal things such as drinking everything peppermint-flavored and sitting by the fireplace. it fills her with joy when you want to do these things with her 

❅ snow is beautiful to her, but only when she's inside. the second that you drag her out in the snow, she will be complaining about how cold it is (which you counter with "yeah, duh! that's the point!") despite being an avid snow hater, she'll kick ass in a snowball fight. you learned your lesson from the one time you challenged her to one and after a few minutes of complaining, she absolutely pelted your ass

❅ she does NOT play about ugly sweaters. she used to think they were the dumbest thing and that the whole concept didn't make much sense, but after being gifted one by you, her opinion has shifted quite a bit. if there's an ugly sweater contest, she will be in attendance, and she will be mogging everyone

❅ oh. my. god. have you seen jackie? she is possibly the most excited person on this planet earth about the holidays. she has so much holiday cheer that it's infectuous. i mean, how can you not feel festive when she's decked from head to toe in tinsel and bows? 

❅ part of me wants to say that she's horrendous at wrapping presents, but let's be real. you'd think she belongs at santa's factory the way she wraps those damn presents. she is so particular about her wrapping paper and she will throw a fit if her bows don't match the color of the wrapping. however, the process of wrapping leaves the entire space looking like a christmas hurricane made direct contact

❅ SNOW!! ANGELS!! she does hate the cold and whines about getting her shoes wet, but that won't stop her from running out the second there's enough to make a snow angel, dragging you with her as she goes. she definitely tries to make your snow angels kiss, or at the very least, draws hearts around them in the snow

❅ the biggest snuggler. the second the temperature drops beneath 40° she will be wrapped up in your arms (and also about 5 separate fuzzy blankets) for the entire month of december and if you dare to even think about moving, she'll pout at you until you settle back into her. even if you have to get up, she'll stay wrapped in her blankets and attached to you the whole time. so what if she's holding onto you like a koala while you try and make yourself hot cocoa? 

❅ she 100% has to stop herself from getting you up at 6 am sharp on christmas morning. her parents never let her get up before 8 in the morning on christmas, so she feels giddy whenever you get up to presents at an obscenely early time, even if you're still half-asleep as you rip the wrapping off your gifts. you genuinely think you notice her look upset when you tear her wrapping off, but you could've just been imagining things

I can't stop imagining all of the robins as parents so I'm gonna make y'all cry with me:

Dick, finally with a baby of his own rather than ones Bruce latches on to, is perfect. He knows how to soothe them, how to love them, and he will stop at nothing to protect them. His babies almost never cry in his arms, he's a master of changing diapers, and he even manages to balance being a father with being Nightwing. To anyone on the outside, he is perfection, as the first Robin always has been. Inside, he feels his heart break every time his baby trips and he stays up, late at night, watching the baby monitor, terrified that he'll lose it forever. Somebody will reset the timeline or the Joker will find his apartment or he'll simply blink and they'll be gone. He's so scared of losing another child - like how he lost Jason and Steph and Damian. He can't let that happen to this precious ball of sunshine.

When Jason first makes eye contact with his baby, he isn't sure how he feels. Sure, his heart flutters and his eyes start to tear up, but he's not sure that paternal feeling has kicked in yet. He tries his best (he may not be as outwardly perfect as Dick but he tries) and he acts as the good dad that he never got, in both Willis and in Bruce. As much as he learned that they loved him, they never did it the right way. Jason's always seen his way as the right way, in both crime and parenting, and he'll be damned if this kid gets involved in the vigilante business. Even if he isn't sure he loves the kid yet, he's protective. It isn't until a rogue makes a throwaway comment or his young daughter finds his guns for the first time that he realises that is love. His way of loving is simply protecting, not doting. He loves his baby. He finally cries when he realises.

Tim has no idea what to do. Jason seems to have eventually gotten the hang of it and Dick seemed to have always been a great dad from the moment his kid was born, but Tim? He sees that baby in the crib and, though his heart lurches to reach out and hug her and pepper her face with kisses, promising her the world, he finds himself frozen. Because how is that baby his? How did he survive long enough to live? His baby is solid proof that he can make a difference in this world outside of being Red Robin and that terrifies him. He's given a chance to be Tim Drake-Wayne rather than just the third Robin and he doesn't know what to do with that. He tries, like Jason does, but he's certain he fails where it matters. Raising a kid isn't maths and logic it's compromise and emotions and Red Robin wasn't trained for that. Tim wasn't trained for this.

Steph has been a mother much longer than the others have been fathers. Dick may have been the first to show Batman his child, to give his baby a name, to learn how to change a diaper, but Steph was the first to be a parent. If she ever has another kid (because it's not a definite for her like it may be for the others, she refuses to let it be a definite) she knows exactly how she'll care for them. She'll hold them, she'll love them, she'll kiss them goodnight, she'll take them to all their dance or karate lessons, she'll go to every recital, she'll take embarrassing pictures on prom night, and she'll be there through thick and thin, highs and lows. If Steph ever let herself go through that pain again, this time, she's never letting go.

Damian... Something clicks. He looks at his baby for the first time and the frown that was stuck on his face the moment he learnt he was having one melts away. In one singular moment he understands why Bruce was always so harsh on him, why Bruce tried his hardest to keep Jason around, why Bruce never ever gave up on any of the rogues, nor any of his fellow Bats. The moment Damian got something as precious to him as the robins and batgirls were to Bruce, he understood. And he never looked back. If he happens to adopt his own personal army of children, a carbon copy of his own father with a couple amendments, then that's future Damian's problem. Well, or Alfred's.

You know, I love seeing Alya in a lot of different fics, and I've seen her depicted in a few different ways.

I enjoy seeing her just being there, taking on a similar role to what she does in the show, helping out when needed, and overall being a kind person who enjoys helping others.

But while I like seeing her in that capacity, since it's a positive portrayal that is nice to her, it's not the sort of portrayal that really gets me excited. It's a kind of "background, supporting character" kind of portrayal, and while that's needed sometimes, it doesn't really develop her all that much.

The depictions of her that really get me excited, that make me gush about how well the fanfic's treating her, are the ones that don't just portray her positively, but instead treat her like a full person. Ones that delve into her emotions, her viewpoint, and even her biases, that let her make decisions based on what's best for her personally, and maybe even regret them later. But importantly, she's not treated as being bad or evil for this, but instead as a person who's muddling through life as best she can, who has things she wants and values in conflict.

Actually the show touched on this sort of thing as well, it's one of the reasons I really liked Alya in Rocketear. We got to see her struggle with her conflicting loyalties to both Marinette and Nino, with wanting to follow Marinette's orders while also not wanting to lie to Nino and potentially damage their relationship. And I liked her eventually telling Nino that she's helping Ladybug, because she didn't want to continue lying to him after that particular lie had already caused damage in their relationship. And while Alya later was dismayed at how things went down in the finale, Marinette didn't blame her, understood where she was coming from, and wanted her to continue.

That's the sort of thing I want to see. For Alya to have her own viewpoint and to make decisions based not simply on eternal loyalty to one person, but as a result of weighing her different values and wanting things to work out in the best way she can make them. And for her to sometimes be wrong or for something to have negative consequences, and still have her treated with kindness and respect. For her desires to be treated as being a worthy reason to do things, because her desire to be happy matters.

Like... with Marinette, I'll see this represented in fanfiction frequently. Marinette can be snappy or irritated, or even lie and hide things because she thinks they'll lead to a better outcome, and even when she hurts others in the process, the narrative is often sympathetic to her and gives credence to her thoughts, emotions, and viewpoints, and depicts her trying to make things better for herself as an understandable thing.

While for Alya, it's a lot harder to find something like that. Most of the time she's in a supportive role where any personal issues she has aren't focused on and she's mostly there to help out Marinette with whatever she has going on. In a lot of fics where she DOES do something for her own personal benefit, when she prioritizes herself at all or simply weighs all her different relationships and balances them as best she can, but in a way that's detrimental to the person the author likes the most, she'll be portrayed as a horrible, cruel person deserving of punishment, or at the very least as needing to learn a harsh lesson to become a better person. Any desire to do something for herself or to help maintain relationships she values is looked at in the worst possible light.

Just... I love stories that allow Alya the same sort of grace and understanding as most main characters are afforded.

Summary : getting kicked in the stomach by a hyperactive taekwondo student was the last thing y/n expected on her first day. Part one

After that painful incident, y/n ran back home crying swearing that she'll never go back there . But the universe (keyword: her mom)has always been against her . She eventually had to go there again for her second lesson . She stepped in , head looking at the floor , almost dying from embarrassment . Soonyoung,on the other hand , panicked like crazy . He has been feeling guilty about what he did and thought about a hundred ways to apologize to her . He thought he'll never see her again. But here she is , standing right in front of him and trying her best to avoid him .

The lesson went smoothly, y/n's coach was patient and understanding, and she learned a lot of new techniques. During her break , she stepped out of the building to have some fresh air . Until she sees someone come and stand right in front of her . She looked up to see soonyoung in his taekwondo uniform with two juice bottles in his hands . He sticks out his hands offering her some juice .

" I didn't have change so I had to buy two bottles, do you want one ? "

" Sure , I guess."

She replies in an unbothered tone taking the juice from his hand .

After some time of chatting with eachother , soonyoung finally found the courage to say it

" I'm sorry I kicked you yesterday, I didn't mean to hit you that hard."

" it's okay , but don't do it again ."

She replies jokingly , then they continue their conversation .

" Wait ,you get bullied at your school ? "

Soonyoung says as he stands up from his seat , shocked .

" Yeah , to them , I'm the quiet kid . It's normal though. I'm used to it by now ."

Y/n replies while taking a loud sip from her drink , unbothered by soonyoung's dramatic reaction .

" Why are you so chill about it ? Just show them to me , I'm gonna beat their butts. "

" You don't have to do that . "

She replies as he insists on seeing the kids that bully her .

So , the undisturbed person y/n is , she shows soonyoung the group of bullies that have been a pain in her butt since the beginning of the school year . He glared at them from afar , like he was planning something " They look like they would run to their mommy , I can easily win them in a fight " he says under his breath while walking confidently toward them . Y/n didn't dare to go with him, so she just watched from afar . From her point of view , she saw soonyoung mumble something to them before throwing a punch on the boy's face . Before anyone can react , he threw a kick that made the bully fall to the ground , then he started fighting the other kids . One punch after the other , the bullies were easily defeated by soonyoung . Then , they ran away before he could hit them again . He turned to face y/n and smiled at her , just that bright big smile that can light a whole city without any effort . And without even noticing, she smiled back at him , for the first time .

And just like that , a new love story was born , a really weird one that started from a kick at the stomach .

A/N: Alright my brain woke up feral this morning with a bunch of head canons for my new series that I've been working on so here you go the fruit of my labor. -The first time you see her in a little black pleated skirt you go feral. Luckily the boys are at school and you take her right on the kitchen counter

-She decides to wear skirts more often after that. Usually when she wants something.

-You slowly teach the boys how to fight, but don't introduce them to anything dangerous. Not until they're much much older.

-Wanda also eventually gets in on the self defense lessons

-Wanda and you go out regularly for date nights and taking the boys out trying to keep your lives as normal as possible

-When you propose to Wanda it’s at a fancy restaurant where you guys have a private room

-When you guys have your first dance you include the boys where you start the dance together then you dance with Billy and her with Tommy and then you two switch off.

-You guys end up having a baby girl after getting married

-At this point the boys would be old enough that you offer the choice to them of joining and both do say yes, but Billy focuses on the business side of things and asks to go to college for business. He ends up double majoring in Business and law.

-Tommy also goes for a business degree, but ends up switching to go into nursing and becomes a Trauma Certified Registered Nurse to be able to deal with injuries that happen in the family business.

-You still take care of business mostly at home.

-The basement is off limits to the boys and is under several locks along with a fingerprint scanner and a pass code only you, Carol, and Maya know. 

-One day Wanda comes with you to the basement even though you've told her a million and one times that she doesn't have to be involved in the business she insists. 

-She watches a side of you she's never seen before. The side that Natasha created. It's almost as if she's watching Natasha pull strings on you.

-You torture someone for hours before getting the information from them. You grab your gun and look at Wanda, eyes cold as she trembles.

- “You can look away darling.” You tell her, but she doesn't, eyes fixed on you as the man begs and pleads for his own life, but he made the mistake of being on the wrong side of things, on Natasha’s side. 

- “If I let you go Natasha will pick up where I left off. Slowly torturing you until you die a slow and painful death. This is mercy.” You tell him and fire your gun right between his eyes. Blood and brain splatter everywhere. Especially on you.

- “Carol, clean this mess up and show Kamala how it’s done. She needs to learn. I need a shower and I need this all done and out of the house before the boys get home. I'm gonna send Maya out with America to check up on the info we were given.” 

-You turn your attention to Wanda holding out a hand to her, “Come on darling. Shower.” There was some blood on her and you helped her upstairs. Wanda didn't talk the whole time until you were drying her hair on the bed. “How do you do that?” She whispers and you barely catch it.

- “When Natasha trained me. I actually threw up a lot. It disgusted me to my core. I had a hard time handling it, but everytime I did something right she'd praise me. Reward me. The last time I killed for her she praised me because I only threw up after I killed the man. Now I'm…it's like I'm not me. I dissociate from it in the moment.” 

-Wanda turns towards you, crawling into your lap, nuzzling against your neck and letting her hands get under your shirt and onto your back for more skin contact. “Thank you for taking care of us. I always appreciated it before, from the moment you saved us, but now after seeing what you do…I can appreciate it even more.”

-After much back and forth Wanda wants to help out. At first you have her work in your office at the computer on record keeping, but she says she wants to get out of the house so you allow her on safe calls. Mainly to get money from people along with Kamala. 

-You never let her go into dangerous situations. 

-You always make sure Maya tails the two girls when they go out especially when Wanda first starts, but you see that Wanda is able to handle her own.

-One time Wanda comes home trying to hide all the cuts, scraps, and bruises after fighting with someone over their rent.

-You freak out when you see it and after cleaning her all up the two of you go back out and you take care of him in front of Wanda. Showing her how to overpower someone bigger.

-You keep the man on edge making him constantly think that he’s going to die until he’s begging for his life and has pissed himself.

-There comes a breaking point between you and Natasha which leads to an all out war between your two mobs

-After a lot of loss on both sides Natasha and you go at each other which ends up with her losing her life when she can’t just accept how things are now.

-Though Yelena wants to kill you over this Kate convinces her not to

-You and Clint come to an agreement of a truce. Which ends the decade long fight at this point

- “I didn’t want it to end this way.” Tears streamed down your face as your knees crashed to the hard ground beside Natasha’s body. “You were terrible to me. Treated me like I was nothing and yet I still wanted to see you change. To be better!” Wanda holds you as you cry and shake in her arms not realizing all the emotional turmoil that you felt towards Natasha even after all these years.

I mean, I would blame more the writers for taking way too long to have Adrien realize his advice was bad.

Reminder that I am never actually blaming the characters, they are not real people. That's why this is explicitly a writing blog. In the context of the writing, yes, the pacing of everything Lila was terrible and is the real source of the issues. That doesn't change the fact that Adrien is the main narrative tool used to keep Marinette in line, thus me "blaming" him.

As you said, Adrien looks bad here not because he didn't understand how to handle the situation and gave bad advice, but because it takes him so long to realize that his advice was bad and apologize.

During Lila's first appearance, we see Adrien chastises Ladybug for being too mean to Lila, never once acknowledging that it was valid for Ladybug to be upset (S1E26). She is painted as fully in the wrong even though Lila was actively manipulating him and Ladybug arguably protected him here:

Adrien: Wait! Lila! (Lila runs away) Hey, what was that all about? Uh, I mean, weren't you kinda harsh with her? Ladybug: I...I don't put up with lies, especially when they're about me. (yo-yos away)

During Lila's second appearance (or, at least her second appearance where she actually interacts with the cast) he further drives that message home by telling Marinette to let Lila lie to people because he's more worried about hurting Lila's feelings than he is about removing Lila's power (S3E01):

Adrien: Are you going to tell everyone? Marinette: 'Course I am. Lila is— Adrien: (interrupting) A liar. Yes, I know. But do you really think exposing her will make things better? If you humiliate her, she'll just be hurt more. Making a bad guy suffer has never turned them into a good guy. Lila: Ladybug and I are like two peas in a pod. Marinette: So we just stand by and let her lie? Adrien: As long as you and I both know the truth, does it really matter? Marinette: You're right, maybe it's not such a big deal.

We'll circle back to how terrible this advice was in a second. First lets finish off going through the sequence of events.

And finally, at the tail end of season five, Adrien openly acknowledges that he's been giving terrible advice (S5E20):

Adrien: I'm sorry, Marinette. I was wrong. I shouldn't have told you to not act against Lila. If you give the slightest opportunity to people like her, they'll grasp at it and cause disasters in no time. And now, you're the one who looks like a bad person. Marinette: (reaches out to hold his hand beside her) You thought you were doing the right thing. Just like with Chloe. That's another reason why I love you, Adrien. You always want to see the good in other people. But sometimes, the good we think we see in some people is just a reflection of our own, and we end up being fooled by our own kindness. (They squeeze each other's hands.) But we'll find a way to expose Lila eventually.

If we look at these three moments in a vacuum, this is honestly a good character arc for a character like Adrien. He's a peace keeper, which is a wonderful match to Marinette's blind justice approach. It's good that Adrien is there to balance her out! It's also good for him to learn that his approach doesn't always work and that you can't always keep the peace.

The problem is that Adrien didn't actually get a functional character arc where he learned those lessons. The episodes are so drawn out that it doesn't feel like we watch him grow and learn. His apology is almost three full seasons after his second bit of bad advice, leaving us to wonder when he changed his mind because Lila does a lot of awful things during those three seasons. What moment made him realize that he was in the wrong here? We don't know, so this feels less like growth and more like the writers throwing in a scene to shut up fans who were still complaining about Adrien's terrible advice even though it had been four real world years since he actually gave it.

There's also the issue that Adrien tells Marinette, "making a bad guy suffer has never turned them into a good guy." This line implies that Adrien's goal is to help Lila change. The problem is that we never see him do that. He doesn't try to help Lila. The most we get is him making a deal with Lila to protect Marinette, but that's not him helping Lila change. He doesn't approach that conversation as if he's trying to help Lila see that what she did was wrong. He approaches it as if he knows that she won't change. It's less trying to make Lila a better person and more a deal with the devil:

Adrien: (sits next to Lila) I warned you once already, Lila, but you didn't listen. You hurt my friend Marinette, and that's not okay. Lila: Me? Hurting Marinette? But she's the one who- Adrien: I don't know how to prove you lied, Lila, because you're good at it. So you'll just have to come up with another lie, just as convincing. Only this time it's gonna prove Marinette's innocent. Lila: Why would I do that, Adrien? Adrien: Because we're friends, aren't we?

Minor Chloe rant incoming:

This is yet another situation where it would be so much better for the show if Adrien had actually done something to help Chloe change and succeeded. If he did that, thought it was a good path for everyone, and then tried to do the same thing for Lila, then this could have been a really great way to set him up for dealing with his dad. To teach him that you can only help people who want to be better without having everyone he tries to help stay "evil" as that's pretty depressing. As-is, we've literally seen him say that Chloe will never change so why does he believe that Lila can change? They're not portraying him as an optimist, they're portraying him as delusional. Terrible writing. Zero stars.

By the way, the above quote was the 24th episode of season three, roughly two seasons before Adrien's apology to Marinette. If he's viewing Lila as the devil here, then this should be where we get that apology. Or Adrien should approach this as him trying to make Lila better and Lila should play along, making Adrien think that he's right and that he's helping her change. Either approach would be better than the nonsense canon gave us.

In a well written show, this would all go down over the course of a single season or even just a few episodes. As-is, the season five apology feels like too little too late. What little kid is going to be able to follow this "character arc" and learn the lesson that Adrien maybe sort of learned? Casual viewers will likely not even remember that Adrien gave Marinette bad advice back at the start of season three because why would they? This is not how you do a good subplot. It's almost as drawn out as the Gabriel plot and that's insane! A subplot is supposed to be a short story within the story so that things feel like they're moving forward.

How about a reader that was pregnant when they were chosen as an exchange student ? Like the baby's father is not in the picture and reader *isn't* involved with boys romantically and when the boys discover readers pregnant after lesson 16 they're just "oh Shi-"

This is an old ask from before my long ass hiatus, but I'm honestly still really interested in this.

Okay so here's some set up info for how Imma do this:

MC knew she was pregnant, but was so overwhelmed about it that she welcomed the fact that she was magically kidnapped into going to demon school and that she had something to distract herself from the literal growing problem in her uterus.

The baby was also transfered to the new body after what Belphie did to her.

Like it was requested, MC is not currently dating any of the Boys.

They found out because they had her get checked by a doctor despite Barbatos making sure she was okay with his time power; this was mostly done out of over-protectiveness and no one actually thought anything would come of it.

I don't do reader posts so obviously this will be MC.

Now that that's out of the way, let's give this a go!

Lucifer:

Is visibly shocked by this and has MC explain herself.

When he hears how her boyfriend knocked her up and abandoned her not long before she was brought to the Devildom, the pride demon makes a mental note to ask her for the man's name at another time so he can handle that little pest.

Feels terrible guilty about what she went through and even worse that she went through it while pregnant.

I see Lucifer as this heavily anxious man with a soft spot for kids and that includes babies that are works-in-progress (WIP).

Hovers around her constantly after that, making sure she taking every vitamin and supplement she and her child needs.

Just becomes super protective of her while also trying to pretend he's not.

Eventually takes her off of cooking duty so she'll have one less thing to worry about.

Despite not being the father or having such a relationship with her, he takes full responsibility for all aspects of this from teleporting her here while pregnant to Belphie offing both her and her child in her last body.

Doesn't go as far as to call himself this child's father, but anyone who saw this man hovering over her would definitely think he was.

Like always, Lucifer just wants to take care of his family and now sees MC and her child as such.

Mammon:

Literally freaks out while trying to pretend he isn't.

To him, her being pregnant just made this whole situation 1000000x worse.

Feels bad that he didn't know about her kid.

Like, he's the brother whose been by her side the most and he never even noticed anything was off with her.

He's not the most observant man so I'm not surprised.

He's her First! She should have just told him, or so he tells her.

Keeps an extra close eye on her to keep this crazy freaking human from doing anything bad for herself or her kid

And let's face it, she literally got herself killed not long ago so anything can happen.

The further her pregnancy gets, the more this man tries to keep his brothers away from her.

He just extra possessive as time goes on.

I mean yeah, this kid ain't his but he wishes it was so freaking much but he's still gonna look after the two of them.

Honestly, this man wouldn't be able to handle a single other bad thing happening to his Human.

Leviathan:

Is really freaking out and doesn't even try to hide it.

I mean this is serious!

Not only did MC die but so did her WIP kid????

I mean yeah, they are both back but this all still sucks.

You know the phrase 'kicking a person while they're down'? Well this is like using a freaking flamethrower while the human was already down!

Honestly becomes super awkward with his Henry after learning about her pregnancy

But slowly gets used to it as he discovers that MC just wants him to treat her as he always has.

Yeah! He can do that!...kinda.

He feels bad that he can't help her through most of it.

This man knows absolutely nothing about pregnancy and feels like he is mediocre at comforting people at best.

Still, if she ever needs someone to distract her with anime so she doesn't have to think of the little WIP in her uterus then Levi is her man.

Satan:

Honestly...this man is less than thrilled.

MC is the first person he's ever truly gotten close to and that includes his 'brothers'

So to hear that the person he cares about most is pregnant...

Well on the plus side, he knows there's a human man in the other realm for him to torture so that makes him feel better.

Doesn't like kids, but is at MC's side as much as possible.

One of the brothers willing to hold her hair back during bouts of morning sickness.

Not one to hover, but does get a little protective when Belphie is in the same room as her.

Knows the Avatar of Sloth won't hurt her anymore but...well, he still can't get the image of MC's dead body out of his head

And angy boy is still angy at him for it.

Other than that, he reads a shit ton of pregnancy books to learn what MC's body is going through and different methods to comfort her through it.

Asmodeus:

Honestly, this usually chatty brother was speechless when it was announced.

When he saw all eyes fall on the human and make her overwhelmed, he ran to his friend and hugged her tightly.

Was the one to hype up the other guys and get everyone to say they'll take care of her and that they have her back

Because honestly, this woman and her child literally died for his family; you can bet your ass he's going to make sure each and every one of his brothers does their part in taking care of the pregnant human.

Doesn't immediately think about killing the runaway baby daddy, but if it becomes a family field trip to hunt the bastard and kill him, Asmo is so down for it.

Mostly focuses on what he can do for MC in the moment though.

Another brother to comfort her during morning sickness.

It's gross af but he uses it to remind his brothers that hey! I'm getting close to a vomiting woman each morning so y'all better be as dedicated to the cause as I am.

Beelzebub:

This man literally did nothing wrong, but acts as if it's all his fault.

So much happened in his family right under his nose and things led to such extremes that his twin literally killed this woman and her child.

More or less feels like he needs to step up and pay atonement for what his twin did

And is probably the brother who takes care of her the most.

This situation has shown how much he actually wants to be a parent one day

And literally asks MC later in her pregnancy if he can be her baby's daddy

He doesn't care about genetics at all, just wants MC to let him help her raise the child and make him a daddy 🥺

Literally the sweetest man to ever exist.

MC would be a fool not to accept.

Belphegor:

Probably the guiltiest of all of the men.

I mean, he did it. He killed MC and relished in it.

Granted, he didn't know she was carrying a little hitchhiker, but still.

Belphie lost himself in his pain to such a strong degree that...he wonders that even if he did know...would he have been able to stop himself from doing what he did

And honestly, the fact that he doesn't know scares the hell out of him.

Avoids MC for the first couple months of her pregnancy because honestly, he feels too guilty to even look at her

And... honestly, he doesn't know if he even trusts himself around her.

Thanks to Beel's encouragement, the sloth demon slowly finds himself interacting with the pregnant human

And eventually decides that the best way to atone for what he did (if it's even possible) is to take care of her and the kid the best he can.

He doesn't like kids and just sees pregnancy as unnecessary torture for people with uteruses

But honestly, none of that matters anymore.

He may not have been the one to knock the woman up, but he did fuck up the worst out of everyone in this situation.

Will feel better whenever the family hunting party starts and he can give that pathetic man a taste of what he deserves.

Looks like it's Human Season for this hunting demon.

Diavolo:

Also a man with an overwhelming sense of guilt.

Other than the actual process of making the baby, everything that happened was either because of something he directly or indirectly did to start up the exchange program.

Also regrets not having regular check ups on his exchange students because surely they all would have discovered this sooner and prevented anything from happening to the pregnant woman.

Has regular doctor visits scheduled for MC to make sure she and her baby stay healthy and pays for all of it, including any medications she may need during this progress.

Pregnancy can be really fucking expensive, but the prince makes sure she never has to worry about that side of things.

Just focus on staying healthy and letting your baby grow, MC; he and the other men will handle everything else.

Barbatos:

Knew before everyone else did.

I mean, this man literally had to make sure the baby transfered over too.

This man is seriously a hero that doesn't get the credit he deserves nor does he seek such.

MC and her baby are safe now and that's all that matters to the butler.

Honestly frets over the woman on the inside, but shows no sign of it externally.

Is the man that takes her to all her doctors appointments and was there when she discovered the gender of her baby.

Congratulated her as she sobbed happy tears and was honestly grateful that he could share such a moment with her.

Honestly becomed really attached to MC during her pregnancy and looks forward to watching her child grow up.

Solomon:

Honestly, his intuition had been tingling for a while on this subject.

He suspected this pregnancy, but figured it was none of his business and didn't want to pry into the fellow human's personal life.

If he would have known such an event would happen with Belphie though, he would have stepped in and got answers.

He didn't though. The sorcerer had no clue how events were going to unfold.

Hindsight is telling him that he should have pryed more, but his manners told him it was right to respect the woman's privacy.

Doesn't do too much in regards to taking care of his friend since the demons seem to have it all covered and even seem to somewhat resent the sorcerer when he tries.

Believe it's better not to step on any toes, so to speak.

Is still a good friend to MC though and always offers an ear if they need to vent about the process with someone.

Simeon:

This all happened before the pregnancy had progressed enough for him to sense the baby.

He did however sense...something within the human since he met her, but didn't understand what.

Hindsight is really hurting this poor angel's heart 😔

Become the woman's biggest support in an emotional sense.

Pregnancy is hard and hormones flare and everything can seem so stressful, especially to a scared single mom.

This man is often the one comforting her when she breaks down into tears, even when it's over small stuff like someone ate the last cookie or she lost her pen.

He makes sure MC knows how strong she is and that she will make it through this this difficult time.

Luke:

Demons!!! Back away from the pregnant woman or this chihuahua will bite.

Okay, not really, but the brothers make this joke a lot.

Luke is very protective of MC in this situation.

Since he is just a child, he wasn't told what happened between her and Belphie in complete detail.

Really just thinks the stupid demon hurt her feelings and the angelic boy will not allow it to happen again!

Grows increasingly curious as MC's belly grows; angels don't have kids in this way so this boy has a lot of questions about what's happening to her body.

The fact that there's an actual baby just chilling and growing in her belly boggles this boy's mind.

Is honestly excited for MC's baby and feels like he about to be come a big brother!

This boy is determined to do his part and take care of her just like the adults do.

Mostly just keeps her company and bakes for her when her cravings give her a sweet tooth.

Little Lukey keeps her spirits up and MC loves him for it.

It takes him time to get used to, but he loves you a lot

However, being a Demon Slayer means he isn't home all the time

Giyu makes up for that by spending time with you when he can

Part of him wonders why he deserves a wonderful child like you

He just hopes that he can be a good enough father

You unintentionally pick up small things from your father

Such as his awkward personality

He encourages you to be more social, though both of you have trouble doing so

When it comes to teaching you his breathing style, he's hesitant

He knows being a Demon Slayer is dangerous, but he'll eventually agree, as long as he's the one training you

Shinobu

Becoming a mother wasn't something Shinobu had considered before

But, it was a welcome change in her life

She's very doting, and always makes sure you feel loved

She also has the help of Kanao, Aoi, and the triplets when it comes to taking care of you

Which is a big help since she can get busy

You subconsciously pick up a lot of rabbits from your mother, including her apathetic personality

It creeps the other Hashira out how similar the two of you are

She hesitantly agrees to train you to become a demon slayer

She teaches you her breathing style, intending to have you take over her position as Hashira some day

Rengoku

Rengoku is such an enthusiastic father

He absolutely adores you and while he may not be the perfect parent, he tries his best

To say you were a carbon copy of your father would be an understatement

You look exactly like him, which sometimes freaks people out

You also have the same enthusiastic personality as him, as well as his love of food

When it comes to learning Flame Breathing, you're a natural

He trusts you to become a Demon Slayer since he knows how skilled you are

Though, deep down he worries for your safety every time you go on a mission

He's overall a proud father

Tengen

He's a super proud father and he will brag about you

You look a lot like him, which is another thing he won't stop bragging about

He encourages you to dress just like he does, "because it's flashy" he tells you

He won't let anyone else train you to become a demon slayer and ends up taking you in as his tsukgo

One of the most important lessons he teaches you is to value your life during missions

It would destroy him if you didn't come back home one day

Overall, he's a very proud dad who cares a lot

Mitsuri

Mitsuri is the kind of mother who's very doting

She's always making sure you eat enough and that you're taking good care of yourself

Forget about ever being insecure about yourself, because Mitsuri will never allow it

He still teaches you discipline since he knows it's an important trait to have

You both have soft-spoken personalities, but can also be very stern at times

It's honestly scary how similar the two of you are

He's willing to teach you his breathing style and how to be a demon slayer since he knows there would be no point in stopping you

But he always worries

His worst fear is losing you

As soon as he became a father, he promised that you would have a better childhood than he did

He ends up spoiling you without even realizing it, but if someone points it out, he won't stop

He's also very protective, he's already lost people before and doesn't want to go through it again

Despite that, he will let you become a demon slayer

granted, no one else but him is allowed to train you since he only trusts himself to make sure you're strong enough

A lot of people point out that you two are really similar to each other

It kind of uncanny, but it makes him proud

Been thinking lately about aromantic Minfilia.

She is, as many of you know, one of my favorite FFXIV characters, I have many feelings about her, I now have not one but two Warriors of Light who fall in love with her very quickly. Ariane never confesses her feelings because she's a coward (affectionate and derogatory), while Merlwaen goes for it and they have a romance, while it lasts... but I can't see it not ending the same way. There's no world where Minfilia hears Hydaelyn's call and says No; there's no world where Merlwaen's love overrides that, no matter how real that love is. Even if Merl were to pick her up and physically carry her out of the Sil'dihn watercourse I think that would somehow still be the end and a part of Minfilia would not forgive her for that overriding of her agency even if she never knew why it was so world-rending. And even when I try to imagine an AU where Minfilia returns to mortal life post-Shadowbringers and becomes the third corner of a triad with Ariane and Urianger, both of whom love her dearly and would probably welcome that, there is something a little sideways about it, something that doesn't quite fit.

Minfilia chooses Hydaelyn and will always choose Hydaelyn and for me, that's a core part of her character I can't undo without fundamentally changing her character, whatever my issues with how it's written.

And now I'm starting to think, hey, what if it's not just that Minfilia's devotion to Hydaelyn overrides everything else? I've increasingly felt that I like it better if Ariane's feelings actually were unrequited. (She'll never know that for certain, but I can.) And what if Minfilia actually just... doesn't feel the same way Merlwaen feels? Maybe she thinks she does, initially. Merlwaen is kind and loving and a protector and of course there's a bit of hero worship going on there as well. It feels good to be loved by her, and Minfilia's spent so many years focused on her Echo support group and the salvation of Eorzea and has little experience with romantic relationships (also they've never been a priority for her) and the novelty of this is as exciting as anything else. And Minfilia's so full of love--love for the world, love for Hydaelyn, love for her friends. It's easy to say she loves Merlwaen and mean it.

Just... maybe it's not that kind of love.

And I like what this adds to what's inevitably going to happen after the banquet, because it's not just Merlwaen learning the first of several brutal lessons about how she can't save everyone. It's not just "my gf dumped me for God, harsh but fair." It's that Merlwaen and Minfilia's ideas of what they are to one another, and what they are together, are fundamentally mismatched, and that mismatch would have eventually shown itself even if the banquet had never happened.

Minfilia does what she does out of love, fundamentally. It's simply a love that's incompatible with what Merlwaen wants, and in a broader sense it's incompatible with a love that places one person above all else, romantic or otherwise--something that's hard for Thancred to understand too, I think, despite the love between them being familial and not romantic. And I don't see the same kind of anguish in Minfilia making these choices that I see in, say, Urianger making his own difficult decisions. In the end, when pressed, she can say firmly and with confidence, You can wish my love was of a different kind, but that is not for you to decide.

The Doll Filled with Love (I'm Stitch Dot Analysis/Theory)

LYRICS

This is honestly tricky to clearly put into words but the general idea is that Romarriche is (like) a doll. Whether it's to be taken literally or not isn't clear. He is like Marroncream's doll, a product of her love (which also explains why her kingdom sees her as more of a "mother"). As a doll, he can't express the same emotions back to her, but he appears almost desperate to do so.

"Why is man born sewn together? As it covers up the chest" = Why can't a doll show it has a heart, already being sewn with a complete/covered up body

"Stitches" are how Romarriche shows his love, as he can't express them naturally like a regular fairy would. Each thread filled with his inner thoughts and tenderly putting something back together or connecting with someone.

But his own stitches also make up his wounds. He gives himself these wounds as a reminder of what "love" feels like

The cat's cradle could be talking about that infinite string game, meaning Romarriche could be doomed to always eventually forget what love is.

A bit similar to Ever Red - " "Once the ribbon is tied, the knot marks are still there." Once pain is inflicted, the wounds and memories are still there. "

Except this time the wounds are intentional, a permanent memory of love, something Romarriche needs to keep.

"I'm Stitch Dot" = Romarriche is filled with these threads/wounds of "love", but is that really enough to fully express genuine love? The threads could still unravel and break, making Romarriche lose everything all over again. He needs to unravel himself, learn of the real heart inside the doll.

VOICE DRAMA DETAIL

The thing is. after noticing these things it's easier to see how "emotionally flat" Romarriche is in the voice dramas now. He's always calm and gentle with occassional laughter and tonal changes, but overrall it's hard to decipher what emotion he truly feels. Even when fighting the seed he didn't sound all that angry he was kinda just like. "You. Get out. Now."

MV

The mv is scattered with roses (most obviously because it's a symbol for Marroncream's kingdom). Outside of romance, red roses symbolize hope, passion, admiration, and deep commitment. Similarly, white roses symbolize purity and loyalty.

The red threads in the 1st image also look similar to spider webs. Each string is needed to keep the entire web stable, which can represent the experiences and lessons Romarriche (the web itself) has been through on his goal to express true love.

The backgrounds in most of the mv are patchwork fabrics, showing the various aspects that make up "Romarriche" as a whole.

Not to absolve Toshiro of anything, but I wish Izutsumi could know about that little moment

Maizuru: Asebi is missing! Toshiro: She'll find us if she wants to Maizuru: But she hates us! I made sure of that! Toshiro: She'll Find Us. If She Wants To.

It's not a big courageous gesture, but. Izutsumi, it's another someone who saw you and cared about you.

Okay, I've seen this version of the dialogue around a bit and I've been so confused where it comes from? Apparently it's in the anime dub, specifically. Both translations of the manga use pretty similar language, as does the original sub of the anime:

It is in an official source now, so I don't think it's exactly wrong to treat it as canon, but... even then, I dunno. I'm not sure I view the interaction as Shuro being supportive of Izutsumi there, and Maizuru as being the bad guy.

I understand that a lot of people really dislike Maizuru, some to the point of discomfort, and that's fine - I have similar character types that can make me too uncomfortable to like/engage with, so I do understand the negative feelings around her.

But I like her! I think she's an intriguing, messy character. I think she's someone further along in the path of compliance with a toxic system, who has settled into her role as both perpetrator and victim within it, and I think that's interesting.

Maizuru acted as she thought she was supposed to, and it hurt Izutsumi, but I don't necessarily think she singles her out or treats her particularly different from the others in her care... I mean, the hag spell is something she used on Shuro too, when he was younger. She fucking SUCKS at childcare, and she treats people like the are sure to eventually fall into their roles. But she also didn't choose to "purchase" Izutsumi, or to be put in charge of her.

She's only 15 years older than Shuro. At what age was she put in charge of caring for him? Did anyone help show her how to do that? Toshitsugu certainly didn't, and his wife resents Maizuru. Also, for that matter, how old was Maizuru when her affair with Toshitsugu started... and how old was he?

She didn't choose the role of childcare at all, as far as I can tell. She was a ninja, before that, and she tried to use that training to raise kids, and it went uhhhh badly! Shocking! But I don't honestly know that like Hien or Benichidori would do that much better, if they had to make that transition.

I think it's interesting Maizuru's hag is specifically pointed out as using its weapon incorrectly. I feel like that's not just meaningful as a lesson for Izutsumi... I think it says something about its creator, as well.

Anyway, uhhhh, what was I talking about?

Oh yeah, Izutsumi leaving.

I don't personally think Maizuru asking after her was a matter of control rather than concern (it's probably both, really), and don't think Shuro's response is a matter of concern rather than disinterest (maybe that is both too, though).

Even if it was, though, I actually like that Izutsumi isn't there to see it. Shuro should respect her when she's not around just as much (if not more) than when she is. I think it's valuable for people to do well by someone they've hurt (or who has been hurt in the name of the system they benefit from) without that person's gratitude even being an option.

Maybe this is just my personal experience, but I sure know that there are people no longer in my life from whom a choice to respect my boundaries, that I never learn of, would make a positive impact on me. A more positive impact, specifically, than if they made the exact same choice in a way where I'm aware of it.

Sometimes the wounds need time, and sometimes they will never fully heal at all. Sometimes distance is a kindness. Sometimes "she'll make her way back if she wants to," means she'll never make her way back, you know?

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that's my wish for Izutsumi, honestly. May she never be asked to grapple with feelings of the people who enslaved her, good or bad. May she never have to think of them again, if she so chooses.
