Dabi is absolutely the one who gets flustered the more in the relationship with Tomura, because Tomura is cured of anything cringe and Dabi can be way too focused on what others think of him.

Have you seen how Tomura talks? He's a cheesy guy. He doesn't care. For all he shames others for being lame, he's a total loser and wouldn't change.

Meanwhile Dabi has his own persona meticulously planned and runs from anything that makes him look bad in public dkjfkfnfnfn

Let Dabi wince as if in pain the first time Tomura gently puts a finger on his wrist. Let him retreat as if he's being attacked. Let Tomura understand Dabi fears kindness more than aggression because he prefers living in a world full of violence than living a lie. Let Dabi express how much it pained him when no one went to rescue him. Maybe he was expecting it from his father or his mother, but even tho his siblings were kids, he couldn't help but wish they had at least once followed him. He doesn't blame them, but it hurts.

Then let Dabi realize Tomura is quiet the opposite because his family went to rescue him and that's exactly why he doesn't has a family anymore. Shigaraki fears kindness because he killed it, he killed the kindness in him long ago with te kindness of his sister's hands or his mother's arms. Let Dabi notice the sparks in Tomura's eyes and how he could be way worst, cruel to them, abusive, some type of maniac dictatorship. He's not. He's patience and he's normally respectful. He's private, sure, but it has nothing to do with them, that's obvious. He takes care of them in his own crazy way.

Let Dabi realize Tomura has all the reasons in the world to be awful, but he's not. Somehow after going to hell twice, after living years after years with the devil himself, he's still kind and delicate, he cracks jokes and plays videogames and eats pizza. He is so human, it should be impossible.

Dabi has found a single flower blooming among the chaos. A red, tiny thing, but it is firmly planted and refuses to die. Hope.

Let Dabi find hope in Tomura's eyes.

Let Tomura realizes thanks to Dabi that he's not a symbol of fear, but exactly that. A symbol of hope.

Imma manifest the idea that somewhere in the Manga, after Dabi's great reveal, he and Tomura get into a conversation where it goes like this:

"So... Todoroki Touya huh?"

"And? What of it?"

"...Dabi sounds better."

"..."

"Oh yeah, I never told you mine... I just remembered my name after so long actually..."

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah... Name's Shimura Tenko."

"... Huh... Creep sounds better actually."

"Whatever, Asshole."

And they share a chuckle and a small smile as they bask in the comfort of each other's silence.

You know what? I bet they prefer terms of endearment than their own names. Because:

Tenko and Touya are names closely related to the past, to the abusive homes they used to live in.

Tomura and Dabi are names related to their years alone in a dark scary world. AFO was the one who gave the name Tomura to Tenko, and while Dabi chose his own name, it was related to his vengeance and his hatred.

Whoever, they like to hear the nicknames the other's have given to them. Even when they began as insults, they slowly grow into something more, full with a special feeling. It's like when you use a thing that should be a symbol to show love to someone.

For example, Tomura knows the one person that calls him creep is Dabi. The word began to mean a bond between the two of them, something that was only theirs and nothing more. So when they hear it, they think of the other.

Similar to when Toga calls Tomura "Tomu". He immediately feels better.

So yeah, they have two main names, the one that symbolize the person they were and the one that symbolize the person they are.

But they have also tiny names that symbolize what they mean to other people. Those are the names they like the most.

Telling your lover you love them is nice and everything but if Dabi and Tomura both lose their voices to damage caused by their quirks, then the real dance begins becuase they'll have to learn how to communicate their love in other ways.

I just think that Dabi learning how to control his fire better to send blue sparkly butterflies around Tomura is neat. And what if Tomura tattoes Dabi's hands in his body to carry him always with him?

I'm just saying.

Maybe Dabi would start wearing jewelry that resembles Tomura's quirk or personality and Tomura could give him flowers that slowly decay for weeks, to show him that Dabi has him until his last breath.

Bnha smash might not be canon, but in their new year special Dabi complains about the other members being nosy at night, not letting him sleep. This could be an indication that at least toga and Dabi stayed in the bar. What do you think?

Do you know that moment after what happened in Kamino where the League has a meeting in Shigaraki's room?

Most of them are focused on Tomura's and his current breakdown. All of them stare at Tomura later. I can say they're somehow comfortable but not yet familiar with the space. They look exactly like a group of friends trying to figure out how to help the one who's suffering.

And then there's Dabi. He looks kinda awkward, he doesn't stares at Shigaraki and somehow his face is soft. That's not the face or the body language of someone ready to make fun of someone else or someone who's curious or simply doesn't care. Sticking to the canon, maybe he was feeling kinda bad for Tomura. Or maybe he's just too distracted with whatever is opened on the computer.

He stands directly on Tomura's view, facing him with his body but not his eyes, hiding his hands. He reminds me a lot of Shoto in here, specially in those panels where Shoto is not sure what he's supposed to be doing.

Now, my personal headcanon is that that's the face of someone who has been on that room before.

If you've read this post (I bet you have), you know I talk a lot about how I think Tomura and Dabi has this thing going. Like, they meet some nights when they need some comfort. Maybe they just exists together in silence for a while, doing their on things, minding their own business, or maybe they just try to figure out each other without saying a word.

I like to think that Dabi has the rights to just silently asks Tomura some nights if he can stay there, in his room. Tomura doesn't sleep that much either way, so he plays videogames on his pc while Dabi sleeps.

The rest of the time, the League has some other rooms they can stay in, but they need to share. Maybe two persons in each room and maybe Toga has her own one. Maybe Dabi rests on the sofa and that's why the noise bothers him so much.

ShigaDabi Fluff(?)

I had this thing on my lips where the corners of my mouth dry up and get cracked whenever the weather gets dry and humid to sudden cold and prickly. It doesn't even have to be the weather, if I am in a building where the ACs are blasting then go out to a hot day it simply happens.

No matter how much Vaseline or petroleum jelly I put it still stings and it gets itchy and sometimes irritated so much that I can't sleep. So I decided to keep a warm compress with me at all times since it helps the irritating and itching. It stings a bit but after the warmth seeps through it HELPS and it even feels like heaven.

I think/I Headcanon that Shigaraki has days where he just can't stop scratching to the point where his skin gets sooooo irritated that it becomes terribly concerning. At first it irks Dabi until he takes it upon himself to place his palms on Shigaraki's neck like a gentle pressure. It freaked Shigaraki out but he starts to understand why Dabi is doing it. Dabi's palms are warm, warmer that what a normal human should have despite not activating his quirk. The warmth seeps through his skin and it calms Shigaraki down until he stops scratching/freaking out.

Dabi wasn't even thinking when he did what he did but the sight of Shigaraki so relieved made his worrying for his own life worth it.

Thus, whenever it gets bad, Shigaraki silently walks over to Dabi and sits down while Dabi simply nods and does the thing. If Shigaraki notices that Dabi sometimes caresses his cheeks (unconsciously) with his equally warm thumbs to calm him down/soothe him, Shigaraki prefers to keep quiet as he thinks that the warmth he feels around his cheeks were simply because of Dabi's quirk.

I have a similar condition! My lips are always dry because I breath a lot through my mouth, due to my allergies. I used to bite the skin of my lips a lot and they were always a little bloody thanks to that.

Imagine Dabi and Tomura getting closer with time and one day, things grow particularly heavy on Tomura. Maybe it was a failed mission, maybe the heroes did something to upset Tomura or he is just having a bad week. The thing is, Dabi's been helping him, but it's only when Tomura takes the hand of his face when Dabi realize how bad are his lips. They look like they hurt, jut Tomura doesn't seen to notice.

Once more, Dabi acts before thinking about the consequences. They are alone at the place they staying in, so it only takes him a few steps before pressing two fingers to Tomura's lips, gently. Tomura immediately stops biting his lips, untucking them from between his teeth.

They stay like that, frozen for a while. Or rather, they're slowly melting into the contact. Tomura can't think clearly because the itching in his lips is slowly going away, replaced with the sensation of Dabi's fingertips. And Dabi? He's trying to stabilize his heart beats. Tomura has closed his eyes and he's leaning into the touch. They're impossibly close, Dabi knows it. He inches forward, his fingers moving a little until he's caressing Tomura's jaw, his thumb over the little mole he has always wanted to touch.

Tomura freaks out a bit, but Dabi quickly press his other hand on his neck, preventing him from scratching. And when the silence grows and Tomura tries to bite his lips again, nervous, Dabi makes his decision and kisses him. He covers those lips and marks with a softness he didn't know he was capable of. Dabi's own skin feels funny against Tomura's lips, but Tomura has given up and has completely lean against Dabi's hands, his heart steady for once in his life.

Tomura is quiet and peaceful, Dabi is desperate in his kindness. They both are doing their best to don't freak out the other and once they're separated, they first rest their foreheads together and then Dabi hides his face on Tomura's neck, kissing the scars there too.

Now they have a favorite activity to do when they're nervous, and Tomura's lips haven't look healthier in a long long time.

I MEAN, imagine them both on the rooftop of some abandoned house at night, sitting looking to opposite directions, thinking about their lives and their families and their current situations.

Imagine Shigaraki closing his eyes because he's tired and saying that because he has always been the honest type. And Dabi feels raw and exposed so he whispers that he could use a wish, a miracle, a restart button of some sorts.

They stay silent after that, but now when they see the stars or find airplanes flying above, they think of the other and their little secret.

Soulmates keep finding each other in the craziest possible scenarios and it's getting ridiculous! Who's even choosing their fate?!

No but what if Tomura wants to have children in the future and he ends up adopting some kids that came from abusive homes.

What if he still hasn't date anyone yet because he's been taking his time, so Tomura is around 32 when Dabi goes to meet him again after some years of working in separate stuff.

And what if the kids just adore Dabi so much at the end of the day they cry because he's leaving and they ask Tomura if Dabi can be their dad too. Imagine Tomura and Dabi's faces. Their reactions.

And imagine the kids getting invested in playing cupid and Dabi think is fucking adorable and he gives them all his time, he plays a lot with them, trains with them, teaches them stuff... And Tomura is so patient and gentle...

And THEN. THE GREAT EVENT.

AUNTIE TOGA HIMIKO ARRIVES.

She's a little crazy and a little wild, but that's exactly why they leave the kids with her when they need to do stuff. They know Toga would tear down the whole city if anything happens to her little knives (how she calls the kids).

Just imagine.

Drunk Tomura would sit in silence, staring at the hands of his deaf family, not even scratching just plain numb.

Dabi doesn't drink that much because he doesn't want to burn himself alive by accident, so he found the disaster that is his drunk boss at 3am and decides to take him to his room.

Drunk Tomura still doesn't decay stuff, which Dabi finds a little too sad because what type of control and trauma is required to don't even let go of that habit while drunk. So Dabi somehow convinces Tomura into telling him where are his old gloves so he can use them.

And you have Tomura cuddling with Dabi the rest of the night. Dabi leaves before sunrise and takes the gloves away to the place they were. Tomura wakes up with no memories, but feeling the best he has felt in the last weeks.

So he drinks again, chasing that feeling.

And every time, Dabi finds a way to Tomura's room to comfort him. And maybe, just maybe, because it makes him feel better too.

Dabi wins every argument he has with Shigaraki by saying "And what? Do you want to kiss about it?" instead of fighting him.

Tomura is so frustrated, that one day it finally happens after a rough battle and they're alone and Tomura is yelling at him to leave him alone but Dabi refuses to. Tomura just pushes Dabi to a wall and kisses him stupid.

Okay but Tomura and Dabi slow dancing to Saturn in the living room of an abandoned house, where they can see to the stars through the roof. The music is barely there, Dabi singing it underneath his breath. Tomura rests his head on Dabi's shoulder, letting the soft back and forth of their steps helping him relax.

Thinking about Tomura helping Dabi fix one of his staples for the first time and Dabi just playing with that staple the whole week, remembering how it felt to have Tomura so close to his face.

You guys love to suffer, hmm? Okay okay, here comes the Shigadabi angst. My speciality. Just be careful reading this.

Dabi's been having some terrible nightmares lately. Nobody in the League of Villains knows it. Dabi couldn't let them know.

Still, he's starting to look worst and worst and worst. He's getting more vicious and mean, he's been drinking a lot and doing a bunch of unhealthy activities.

One day, Twice tells him that Tomura wants to speak with him, like, now. Dabi's been avoiding Tomura and he's just at his worst when he shows at the bar.

He pours himself a drink. A strong one. He downs it immediately with just one big gulp.

He doesn't want to be there.

Then he hears Tomura's voice and he's coming undone. He should not be reacting like Tomura is the enemy or anything. It's gonna be fine. Just some minutes. It's gonna be fine.

Tomura doesn't want to ask, but things are getting out of hand and Dabi is an important piece of his game. He can lose him, that would put them in a compromised position.

For an hour or so, they talk only bussines. Tomura is two seats away, the boss doesn't even stare at him and now Dabi is feeling stupid for overreacting.

Until Tomura just sighs, taking away the hand on his face and exposing a pair of red eyes.

They are like a nuclear alarm warning him of an emergency.

Tomura fix him with his stare, he licks his lips and after a heartbeat, he whispers:

“We can't do this without you, for better or for worst. So what do you need, Dabi? How can you come back to us?”

As soon as he falls asleep, the nightmare comes to him, vivid and unnerving.

Dabi doesn't know exactly what he told Tomura to get him so angry. He doesn't know when Kurogiri had appeared to keep them both at bay or when exactly the misty man ordered him to find somewhere else to sleep for the night.

It doesn't take much effort stay far anyway.

He's staring at the battlefield again. Wide and far, the city lays in ruins, filled with dead bodies and screams. Kids are crying, pro-heroes running all around and he... He's on his knees, trying to stand up now that it's finally over.

It's not a win, nor a defeat. Dabi thinks he heard the pro-heroes promising them a chance to live a better life. He doesn't know that well. All he can recall is the way Tomura let him on the ground, softly, after carrying him on his arms for a while. AFO had gone crazy or something, he— he passed out because someone hit him really hard. That's why Tomura carried him.

However, he can't see where's the League. He's trying hard to focus against the light of the sun high in the sky. He can't feel no physical pain, but there's a bad feeling nesting between his ribs. Something's wrong. He can kinda touch it with the tip of his tongue, but he can't find it with his eyes.

In his sleep, and because dreams don't obbey reality, Dabi always sees the person coming from afar. He sees his flaming beard, the vibrant colors of his suit, untouched by time, glorious like the flag of a new nation.

Dabi laughs when Endeavor lands in front of him, thinking that his father has finally arrived to end what he began. And strange as it is, while Endeavor talks and raise his hand, he hears nothing, because a liquid fear takes hold of his throat. He stays on his knees, breathing faster and faster, watching the fire hurry from his father's hands to end the life of his miserable son, knowing he can't scape it or fight it on his own.

And he thinks, smiling so wide that he can feel bloody tears rolling down his cheeks, that he doesn't want to die. Not like this.

“Then live.”

Tomura's words are always the first thing that reaches him. He sees the figure standing between him and Endeavor, just the shadow of a man.

Dabi has no time to see Tomura's face but even while facing his back, Dabi knows him oh way too much. That's how he knows he's smirking like the stupid mad man he is.

Dabi is lost for a second, gone in the mist of the moment, and time slows down when he opens his eyes again.

The fire rushes in a flash. Instead of hitting Dabi however, it meets the boss' body, who blasts Dabi away enough to avoid the flames even touching one of his fingers.

Tomura came running, flying, whatever he did, because he noticed that Endeavor and Dabi were both missing. Too late, the pro-heroes and the members of the League followed him, too slow, too far behind.

The world stops his spinning to watch Tomura sliding just in time to take the attack on his own, shielding Dabi with his body. It took him one look to know Dabi was scared. He had never seen Dabi scared. Not even when things started going wrong.

Tomura's last words linger on the air as heroes and villains watch Shigaraki dissappear. They put down the fire, but it's too late. There's nothing left of the man.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Dabi's the first to break. Limb by limb, he feels how the lost tears him apart, worst than any natural disaster, worst than any enemy. It's like his body starts destroying himself from the inside, but everything's there, everything's fine. He's no combusting in blue flames, because he doesn't have his fire anymore. Somehow, as Endeavor spits on Tomura's grave, all his left is his eyes to watch.

The nightmare never ends right away. No, Dabi's always left with the view of the battlefield. He's left with Endeavor's triumphantly walking over the black spot were Tomura was a second ago.

Dabi's left with the pro-heroes and the league standing on the edge of the field, speechless. The first to break is—

Dabi wakes up among the cinders of a bed.

And he watches.

And he's trapped in a limbo where all he can do is watch.

And he cries without a single tear on sight.

He's paralized, so it takes him a couple of minutes to calm himself enough to move againout of the bed.

He breaths, he takes a shower.

So how can he stare at Tomura's eyes? How can he stand on his presence? How can him resist the urge to hold him against his chest, just to feel his beating heart?

How can he stay away? It's been so long. Just today, Tomura's words risked taking down his mental barriers. All his "we" and "us", they felt like a "me" and "I".

And the way he look into his eyes, all sad red and rough scratches, all nights without sleeping, longing in the darkness... Dabi had started shouting because the other alternative was to kiss him.

Because when Tomura said “We can't do this without you, for better or for worst. So what do you need, Dabi? Who can you come back to us?”...

It sounded like he was worried.

Dabi was in ruins. Tomura had done it.

Dabi dreams of his hands and his hair, the stupid mole on his chin, his smirks and bratty smiles. He dreams of wearing Tomura's crown himself, of touching and kissing him on his throne, of burning cities and conquering kingdoms and bringing the world to an end with him, side by side, his arm around his neck, Tomura's lips on his ear.

And he has nightmares of losing it all. He has nightmares every night where Tomura sacrifices himself for Dabi, where Tomura dies again and again and again, in the worst ways possible.

He has never been so afraid, not even when he burned alive. Because the fire of his love is a solemn promise of destruction, one he can't run away from.

All he can do is keep Tomura at bay.

Maybe, maybe that way... Maybe that way at least one of them can make it out alive.
