Dc x dp idea 133
Danny is really confused. Like sure he made a fake account in order “use” his parents completely valid and not in biased research on ghosts.
Cause obviously. Their completely legit research disproves multiple peer reviewed and factual papers.
Tucker made the fake account. No real names or numbers. So. They couldn’t know it was him right?!??
He just wanted people to see how wack the papers were and bring to light the very not accurate papers. He figured using botched research to counter claim others would do something.
But??? Why was the flash in his living room arguing with his parents about scientific articles. And proper research??

it always makes me roll my eyes when progressive liberals on here accuse more radical activists of spending all their time posting and not doing any direct action irl. like do they not get that the kind of action that radical leftists generally do irl is usually not safe to talk about online publicly??? do they want people to fucking incriminate themselves??? what is this the fbi

I'm sorry if you already posted this, but this is about the details of the first cars movie, what was the car Pixar used for Lightning McQueen's sounds, bc I cannot for the life of me remember
ONE OF MY FAVORITEST TOPICS!!!!!!!!!!
so lightning, being a 2006 model/cars being in production in the early aughts, is based off of a gen4 NASCAR build. specifically a chevy monte-carlo of the early aughts, as seen in some of his early designwork:
Tumblr media
[jogen klubein, 2000]
Tumblr media
[bob pauley, 2002] [the art of cars]
some stats:
Tumblr media
(from some sketchy assed 2000 website i wont link it but i do have it written down)
i used to swear up and down that there was a special feature that showed a few of the guys from skywalker sound recording one of the g4s (maybe a blue and white dodge??) at skywalker ranch in california (or at the airstrip with the other cars). it may have been an old interview or its on a blu-ray special feature somewhere, but i havent been able to find it. i either dreamt it up or its been lost?? no idea.
but what i have been able to find is some of the stock audio used in Cars. Supposedly this is work done by Ben Burtt at skywalker sound [lucasfilm] in the late 70's??: [link]
For NASCAR purposes, as far as i could tell their engines didnt change drastically from the 70s-2000's, so its not wholly inaccurate to use older clips.
a thing in my notes:
Tumblr media
[mixonline. photo dead from link rot]
and now some examples of real-life mcqueens (an excuse to show you cool old stock cars) :
youtube
youtube
youtube
youtube
and a few various other references:
youtube
youtube
youtube
(note the flywheel sound we also hear in Cars!)
youtube
^video ive only skimmed so far but seems very informative.
and a few canon refs while im here:

[time travel mater] (his carbon fiber cowl induction cover is very funny to me)
SO. to answer the question: its a mix of custom sound design and stock audio. its based in reality heavily, but i believe its also tuned for fiction/per character personality. i forget which interview said that it might be the mixonline one mentioned above or this old autoweek one. he's got something along the lines of partly SB2.2 and an R07. this does not mean pixar recorded specifically these motors, but prooobably something close.
and cars 3 pisses me off because they very clearly did not use any audio off of the g4s, which had a more specific screaming sound to them at high RPMs. COTR actually portrays his exhaust note more accurately than cars 3. Cars 2 is decent also, but the first film is chefs kiss.
i have more various unorganized lmq references but this ask is long enough now and probably doesnt make much sense because i am literally so amped about this topic. please note that this research is partly accurate and partly speculative/opinion. rejoice, mcqueens be upon ye.

Tearing my hair out a little after things that have occurred over the last few days so this is a PSA for US citizens who want to renew their passports.
If you want to do it by mail, the forms are completely free on travel.state.gov. If you want to renew your passport online, the official department of state website to do so is mytravel.state.gov. These are legitimate and secure sites made by the US Department of State, every United States .gov domain has to go through federal approval in order to go online. At the moment online passport renewal is still in beta so you can't get it expedited that way, but the only things it can charge you for is the standard $130 for a passport book, $30 for a passport card, $160 for both, and an optional $21.36 for 1-2 day shipping.
Any other site that charges you money for United States passport renewal that isn't registered to a .gov domain is a third party site. At best they will mark up the price for your application so they can take a cut, at worst they will take your personal information and run. If you or someone you know has been a victim of passport or visa fraud, you can go to dsscrimetips.state.gov and report the incident.
This is not me trying to be a fed or a cop or a bootlicker to the department of state, this is me trying to save people time and money and anguish over potentially getting scammed out of their PII. There are a lot of people out there banking on people searching 'online passport renewal' and clicking on whatever link comes up without doing any further research and without looking it up you can't know which are real or which will charge you $200 and not tell you that none of that money will go to your passport fees or which will take your personal and financial info and leave you SOL and if you can save yourself the hassle of dealing with that by just knowing what the ACTUAL, REAL OFFICIAL CHANNELS are then all the better. That's it thank you ✌️

Importance of Security in CMS Development
Tumblr media
The development of websites now must include content management systems (CMS), which have become a crucial part of the digital era. However, with increased usage, CMSs have become a prime target for cybercriminals. As a website owner or developer, ensuring the security of your CMS is crucial in protecting your website and business reputation.
Introduction:
The method that websites are made has grown because of content management systems (CMS), which make it simpler for website owners and developers to maintain their content. A platform for the creation, distribution, and management of text, image, video, and audio content online is provided via CMSs. They are user-friendly and provide many features, making website management more accessible to non-technical users.
However, as the popularity of CMSs has increased, so has the risk of security breaches. Cybercriminals are constantly looking for vulnerabilities to exploit and steal sensitive information. Therefore, it is essential to prioritize the security of your CMS development.
Importance of Security in CMS Development
Security should be a top priority when developing a CMS. A secure CMS protects your website from cyber threats, such as malware, viruses, and hacking attempts. A security breach can have significant consequences and harm the goodwill of the company. A security breach might lead to the loss of classified information, harm to the reputation of your website, and monetary and legal consequences.
A secure CMS provides a safe and reliable platform for website management. It ensures that only authorized users can access the website and its data. A secure CMS includes features such as user authentication, data encryption, and access controls. These security measures prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
Risks of an Insecure CMS
An insecure CMS poses significant risks to your website and business. Cybercriminals can easily access sensitive data through an insecure CMS by taking advantage of security loopholes. Cybercriminals may misuse this information for financial fraud, data breaches, and other unlawful acts.
An insecure CMS also exposes your website to malware and viruses. Your website's functioning could be damaged by malware and viruses, leading to breakdowns and revenue loss. Malware and viruses can also infect your visitors' devices, leading to a loss of trust and credibility for your website.
Best Practices for CMS Security
Developing a secure CMS requires a combination of technical expertise and best practices. These are some key practices regarding CMS security:
Regular updates:
Ensure that your CMS software is up to date with the latest security patches and updates.
Strong passwords:
Use strong passwords and enforce password policies to prevent unauthorized access.
User authentication:
Implement user authentication and access controls to restrict access to sensitive data.
Data encryption:
Encrypt sensitive data, such as user credentials and financial information.
Backup and recovery:
Regularly back up your website and data to ensure quick recovery in case of a security breach.
Conclusion:
Security is a critical aspect of CMS development. A secure CMS protects your website and business reputation from cyber threats such as hacking, malware, and data breaches. It is extremely important to use recommended procedures such as regular updates, strong passwords, user authentication, data encryption, and backup and recovery. By prioritizing security in your CMS development with the help of DMS Infosystem, you can ensure a safe and reliable platform for your website management.

Commission Me! (Regular | Furry)
based on a post i made a while back about a persona 5 swap au, but instead of akechi and akira swapping, it was akechi and futaba swapping.
the basic idea is that futaba, rather than being taken in by sojiro after her mom's death, instead cycled through relatives and various foster homes. she grew bitter and jaded from the abuse she went through, before eventually learning who actually ordered the hit on her mother: shido. consumed by a need for revenge, she starts trying to take him down through any means necessary, creating the medjed persona to hide behind as she doxxes, blackmails, and exposes his supporters, all the while gathering evidence on shido that she eventually intends to release once she's sure it won't be ignored. including his use of a teenage hitman.
as for goro, he wasn't able to stomach killing people on shido's orders after wakaba's death. he realized after killing her that his revenge wasn't worth this, and he ended up turning himself in. one plea deal later, he was able to be released into a rehab house. sojiro discovered him through his contacts in the government, and was basically assigned as his parole officer. goro completed his parole, went back to school, and slowly became a shut-in, growing a palace and losing access to his persona (in this case, loki is his original persona that he loses). he isn't full hikikkomori like futaba in canon, but he only really leaves out of a sense of guilt and obligation when sojiro asks him to.
design notes wise, i based futaba's outfit on tech/streetwear fashion, as well as her alibaba icon (mask + ears). she has several piercings that she did herself, for the same reasons as miyamura from horimiya (iykyk). shes a lot more emo/goth in this au than canon, and her hair is dyed (og color is dark brown). as for goro, he likes comfortable, baggy clothing, bc he mostly just hangs out inside all day. he's partial to the kind of lounge clothing that passes for regular clothes, since he wants to seem like he has his shit together in the event he's asked to leave the house/come to leblanc.
