Just getting your child what's right without him feeling like a failure or that he's wrong, will do too. 👇 Here's an eg. You want him to switch off the tv and he doesn't. Instead of telling him why the tv is bad for him, try using a different set of words and like, if you switch off the tv now then mamma can play hide n seek with you. It could be any thing that he likes. 👇 Expect and accept their BIG FEELINGS. The frustration of not getting his puzzle right, the anger of losing in a game, or when he doesn't find his blocks is a massive thing for them. This lockdown period and a change in routine is only going to precipitate their feelings more. 👇 Don't be a PUNCHING BAG either. Constant tantrums and power struggles with the toddler always getting his way isn't right. Sure it fine, when it happens once in a while, when we are really exhausted and the kids asks us for a treat and we have no energy left in us to deal with it. And we just give in. Or telling the 10th bedtime story on demand. Between 18 and 24 months screen time should be limited to watching educational programming with a caregiver.
